Bang 200ml Mrs Menthol at a glance

Bang 200ml Shortfill E-Liquid Mrs Menthol is a large bottle of menthol vape juice from the Bang range, listed at £9.99 and supplied at 0mg nicotine. The name tells you most of what you need to know. This is a menthol flavour, so the main sensation is cold, minty and clean rather than sweet or fruity.

Three facts define the product. First, the bottle is a 200ml shortfill, which places it in the short fill e-liquids family designed for refillable tanks. Second, it ships at 0mg, so as supplied it contains no nicotine at all. Third, the bottle is made with spare headroom, which lets an adult vaper add nicotine shots if they want a strength above zero. Our listing names one flavour, Mrs Menthol, and one strength, 0mg.

That combination makes this a particular kind of purchase. It is not a device, and nothing about it is plug and play. There is no battery, no charging and no puff counter. You pour or squeeze the liquid into a tank you already own, fit a coil that copes with thick juice, and vape. If you are still choosing hardware, our vape kits collection is the sensible place to start, because the device you pick decides whether a bottle this size makes sense for you.

Here is the quick summary before we go deeper. Format: 200ml shortfill bottle. Flavour: Mrs Menthol, a menthol profile. Nicotine: 0mg as supplied, with room to add shots. Price: £9.99, which works out at roughly 5p per millilitre. Best suited to: adults who already use a refillable sub-ohm tank and want a cooling all-day flavour in bulk. Less suited to: disposables, small pod kits and anyone who has never vaped before.

The rest of this page covers what a shortfill actually is, what the flavour is likely to feel like, how to set up your tank, how to work out a nicotine strength, and what to do when things go wrong. Where we are unsure of a detail, such as the exact VG and PG split, we say so and point you to the label on the bottle rather than guess.

What a shortfill bottle really is

A shortfill is easiest to understand once you see why it exists. In the UK, e-liquid that contains nicotine is sold in small bottles, so a big bottle of juice cannot also be a nicotine-strength bottle. Shortfills solve that by leaving the nicotine out. You buy a large volume of flavoured liquid at 0mg, and the bottle is made with extra space so that you can top it up with nicotine shots later if you want to.

Mrs Menthol follows exactly that pattern. As it arrives, it is a nicotine-free liquid. Nothing has been added and nothing needs removing. If you want to stay at zero, you simply open it and fill your tank. People who prefer to avoid nicotine entirely often shop the nicotine-free e-liquids range for exactly this reason, and a shortfill at 0mg sits comfortably in that group.

If you do want nicotine, the maths is straightforward. A typical 10ml nicotine shot at 18mg/ml holds 180mg of nicotine. The final strength in milligrams per millilitre is the total nicotine divided by the total liquid. With one shot added to 200ml, you reach 180 ÷ 210, which is about 0.9mg/ml. With two shots in 220ml it is about 1.6mg/ml. Nicotine shots are not included with this bottle, and you should check the label for how much headroom the bottle allows before you buy any.

This is also where shortfills differ from the pre-nicotined bottles you may have seen elsewhere. Nicotine salt e-liquids arrive ready to use at a fixed strength in small bottles, and they are designed for low-power devices. A shortfill is the opposite. It is bulky, thick and built for tanks that handle plenty of liquid. The wider e-liquids category holds both types, so it is worth checking which one you are looking at before adding to basket.

One practical point on the bottle itself. Always look at the label when it arrives, because that is the authority on fill volume, maximum shots and ingredients. Our description is a guide, and the printed label is what counts.

How Mrs Menthol is likely to taste

Menthol is the cooling compound that gives mint its icy bite, and a flavour called Mrs Menthol is built around that sensation. The listing names no second fruit, no candy note and no dessert element, so the safest reading is a straight menthol: cold on the inhale, clean on the exhale, and little in the way of sweetness. Think of it as a crisp, minty vape rather than a layered blend.

We have not smuggled in tasting notes that the product page does not support, so treat this as an informed expectation rather than a promise. Individual perception varies. Some people find menthol sharp and bracing, others find it soft and almost refreshing like a mint left to dissolve. What nearly everyone agrees on is that the cooling is felt in the throat and at the back of the nose, and that it lingers briefly after you exhale.

Temperature matters more than people expect. Many vapers find that cooler vapour makes menthol feel crisper, while warmer vapour softens the chill and brings out a rounder minty flavour. If you find the first few puffs too icy, try nudging the power up slightly. If you want more bite, drop it a notch. That small dial is the cheapest way to tune a menthol liquid without touching the bottle.

Menthol also behaves differently from fruit flavours over a long session. Because the sensation is mostly cooling rather than taste, some people find it refreshing through a long day, while others notice their palate gets used to it and want a change. That is not a fault with the liquid. It is simply how cooling agents work on the senses, and it is a good reason to keep a second flavour nearby.

If you want to compare Mrs Menthol against something sweeter or fruitier, the full Bang collection shows the other shortfill flavours at a glance. A menthol bottle is a good palate cleanser next to a fruity one, and many experienced vapers rotate between the two.

Who this bottle suits, and who should skip it

Start with the obvious rule: you must be 18 or over to buy this, and we verify age at checkout. Nicotine is addictive, and a 0mg bottle is still an e-liquid intended for adults. If you do not already vape, there is no reason to start with a bulk bottle of anything.

For adults who already use a refillable sub-ohm tank, this is a straightforward fit. You get a large volume of a cooling flavour at a low cost per millilitre, and you decide the strength. It suits people who go through plenty of liquid every week, who are tired of refilling from tiny bottles, and who want a flavour that stays consistent from the first refill to the last. It also suits anyone who has deliberately moved to nicotine-free vaping and wants a bottle that lasts.

It is a poor match for several other users. If you use a pocket device, a closed system or a pre-filled cartridge, the liquid in this bottle is too thick to wick properly and will not fit anyway. Browse pod kits and the matching refills instead, or look at disposable vapes if you want something you can use straight out of the box and bin when finished. Neither route involves pouring from a 200ml bottle.

It is also not ideal if you have never tried menthol. Two hundred millilitres is a lot of one flavour to commit to. If you are unsure whether you enjoy a cooling profile, sample first with a cheaper small bottle, or pick a smaller bundle. The 5 for 10 e-liquids range lets you test several flavours without spending much, and you can come back to the larger bottle once you know you like it.

Finally, be honest about nicotine. If you need nicotine to stay off cigarettes, 0mg alone will not do the job, and you will need to add shots or choose a different format. If you are comfortable mixing, this bottle gives you the flexibility. If the thought of measuring and shaking puts you off, a ready-made nicotine strength may be easier.

Price, volume and what 200ml lasts

At £9.99 for 200ml, the cost works out at just under 5p per millilitre. That is the number to compare, because the sticker price alone hides how much liquid you are getting. To match the volume with 10ml bottles you would need twenty of them. At £2 a bottle, as an example, that would come to £40 for the same amount of juice. The saving is the whole point of the format.

How long the bottle lasts depends entirely on how you vape. A puff count does not apply here, because puffs belong to sealed devices rather than bottles of liquid. What you can estimate is daily use in millilitres. As an illustration only, someone using 2ml a day would take around 100 days to empty the bottle, someone using 3ml a day around 66 days, and a heavy sub-ohm user at 5ml a day around 40 days. Your own figure will vary with your coil, your power setting and how often you reach for the device.

Those figures stretch slightly if you add nicotine shots, because the extra volume gives you more liquid, not less. Two shots add 20ml, so the same three-millilitre-a-day habit lasts a few days longer. The shots are an extra cost, though, so the per-millilitre saving shrinks a little.

Value also depends on what else is in your basket. Delivery on a single bottle is charged below our free-shipping threshold, so it can pay to add something else rather than ship one item alone. Browse the vape deals page for multibuy offers that apply in the basket, and check the sale collection for reduced stock. We do not recommend buying more than you will use, because e-liquid has a best-before date and flavour fades if a bottle is left half-empty for months.

One last check on cost. If you are weighing this against a disposable, look at what you spend on disposables in a month, then compare. A refillable setup has up-front costs for the tank and coils, but the liquid itself is far cheaper per millilitre. That trade-off only works if you are happy to maintain a device, which brings us to the setup.

Setting up your tank for thick juice

Shortfill liquids are typically high in VG, which makes them thick, and thick liquid needs a coil and tank designed to handle it. The exact VG and PG split is printed on the bottle label, so check it when your parcel arrives instead of relying on a figure from a web page, this one included. As a rule, treat a 200ml shortfill as a sub-ohm liquid and choose hardware to match.

The coil is the part that matters most. Sub-ohm coils have large wicking ports and generous cotton, and they cope with thick juice at higher wattage. A coil with tiny wicking holes, such as those in many mouth-to-lung setups, may starve and give you a burnt taste within a few puffs. Browse our coils collection and match the coil to your tank model exactly, because coils are not interchangeable between brands.

Before you fill, prime the coil. Drip a few drops of Mrs Menthol directly onto the cotton through the wicking ports, then fill the tank, and leave it to stand for five to ten minutes. This stops the first puffs from scorching dry cotton. Start at the low end of the wattage range printed on the coil, take a few gentle puffs, and only then increase. Never fill past the maximum line, and keep the tank upright while you do it.

Airflow is the second control. A more open airflow tends to give cooler, more diffuse vapour, while a tighter one gives warmer and denser vapour. With menthol, that translates directly into how icy the flavour feels, so experiment with both the airflow ring and the power rather than assuming one setting is right.

Finally, check how the bottle dispenses. Some large bottles have fine nozzles that fit a tank fill port neatly, while others are awkward. If your tank has a narrow port, use a small funnel or decant a little into a clean, labelled bottle first. If you are buying a device purely for this juice, the vape kits range has sub-ohm options that suit it far better than small pod systems.

Choosing a nicotine strength if you add shots

Leaving the bottle at 0mg is a perfectly good choice, and many people never add anything. If you do want nicotine, the strength is yours to decide, so it is worth working out a figure before you pour. A few quick calculations will save you a bottle of liquid that is too strong or too weak.

The following examples assume 10ml shots at 18mg/ml and show the result when added to this 200ml bottle:

  • No shots: 0mg/ml, exactly as supplied.
  • One shot (210ml total): about 0.9mg/ml.
  • Two shots (220ml total): about 1.6mg/ml.
  • Three shots (230ml total): about 2.3mg/ml.
  • Four shots (240ml total): exactly 3mg/ml.

Whether the bottle can physically hold that much extra depends on its headroom, so read the label. If it cannot, pour into a larger clean bottle or mix only part of the contents at a time. For a smaller batch, scale the shots with the liquid: one 10ml shot plus 50ml of Mrs Menthol makes 60ml at exactly 3mg/ml, because 180 divided by 60 is 3. Always include the shot itself in the total volume.

As a general guide, lower strengths suit sub-ohm vaping because you take large, frequent puffs and absorb more nicotine each time. Higher strengths in a high-power device can feel harsh and tend to leave people with a sore throat. Menthol complicates this slightly, because the cooling sensation can make a stronger liquid feel smoother than it really is. That sounds pleasant, but it means you may take in more nicotine than you intended, so add less than you think you need and adjust upwards slowly.

If you find that a low-strength shortfill never feels satisfying, that is a sign that a different format may suit you better. Pod systems paired with nicotine salt e-liquids deliver nicotine in a way that works with lower power, and they are usually a better route than adding more and more shots to a sub-ohm tank.

Mixing, steeping and storing the bottle

If you add shots, do it cleanly. Wash and dry your hands, open the bottle, squeeze in the shot or pour it through a funnel, cap tightly and shake for about a minute. Then leave it. Freshly mixed liquid can feel uneven for the first few hours, with some pockets stronger than others, so a rest overnight on a shelf is a sensible habit. Give it another shake before you fill the tank.

Steeping is the practice of letting liquid sit so flavours settle. It matters less for a bright, menthol-led juice than it does for rich desserts, but a short rest does no harm after mixing. Do not go overboard. Warmth and sunlight do far more damage than they do good, and a bottle left on a windowsill will lose its sparkle fast.

Storage is straightforward. Keep the bottle upright with the cap closed tightly, in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, radiators and hot cars. A cupboard or drawer works well. Because menthol is a volatile cooling compound, an open or poorly capped bottle can dull faster, so do not leave the lid loose between fills. Use the bottle before the best-before date printed on it so the flavour stays at its best.

Safety deserves a clear mention. Keep every bottle, and especially any nicotine shot, well out of reach of children and pets. Nicotine is toxic if swallowed or if it gets on the skin in quantity, so wipe up spills promptly and wash your hands afterwards. If you decant into a smaller bottle, label it with the flavour, strength and date, so nobody mistakes it for something else.

If you have questions about handling or about what to do with an opened bottle, our FAQ page answers the common ones, and our support team can help with anything unusual.

Pros and cons of a menthol bulk bottle

No product suits everybody, so here is a plain assessment of this one. Start with what works in its favour:

  • Low cost per millilitre: around 5p, which is hard to beat for a branded liquid.
  • Strength is your choice: stay at 0mg, or add shots to reach a level you control.
  • Fewer refills: one bottle can last weeks, so you spend less time reordering.
  • Consistent flavour: every refill comes from one bottle rather than several batches.
  • A clear flavour identity: menthol is easy to understand and rarely surprising.

Now the drawbacks, because they are real:

  • Needs the right hardware: it is not for disposables, closed pods or small mouth-to-lung devices.
  • Some effort involved: mixing shots, labelling decants and priming coils take a few minutes.
  • Big commitment to one flavour: if you dislike menthol, you are left with 200ml of it.
  • Cooling can tire the palate: some vapers want a change after a while.
  • Not discreet: a large bottle is bulkier to carry than a small one, so you will usually decant for trips.

Weighing those up, the pattern is clear. People who already own a sub-ohm tank and like a cooling flavour will find this excellent value. People who are still shopping around for hardware, or who want a fruity or sweet profile, should look elsewhere first.

If you are undecided, there is a cheap way to find out. Try a smaller menthol bottle, or compare with the 5 for 10 e-liquids, which let you sample several profiles at once. Only move up to a 200ml bottle once you are sure you will finish it.

Fixing harsh cooling, weak flavour and leaks

Most problems with a shortfill come down to a handful of causes, and almost all can be fixed at home. If the liquid feels too icy or harsh, the first change is to raise the power slightly or tighten the airflow, which warms the vapour and softens the chill. If it remains too sharp, the nicotine may be too high for your device, so lower the strength or stay at 0mg.

Weak or flat flavour usually means a tired coil. Coils wear out as cotton darkens and residue builds up, and sweet or heavily cooled liquids can speed that up. If the taste fades and the vapour feels thin, fit a new coil from our coils range. Replacing the coil before the flavour disappears entirely is the cheapest way to keep a bottle tasting as it should.

A burnt or dry taste means the cotton is not getting enough liquid. Check that the tank is not running low, that the airflow is not choking the coil, and that you primed the coil before the first puff. Dropping the wattage and letting the tank saturate for a few minutes often cures it. If the burnt taste returns every time, the coil is spent.

Gurgling or spitting is common with thick liquid. It typically means the coil is flooded, or the airflow is blocked by condensation. Open the airflow a little, wipe the tank, and take slower draws. Leaks are mostly caused by overfilling, worn seals or storing the tank on its side. Fill below the maximum line, check the rubber seals and keep the device upright.

If a bottle arrives damaged, or something looks wrong with your order, do not try to fix it yourself. Contact our team with a description and a photo and we will help. Faulty items can be returned within 30 days for a replacement or refund, as explained on our delivery and returns page.

Pairing with other flavours and upgrades

One of the pleasures of a menthol base is how well it sits alongside other flavours. Many experienced vapers keep one cooling bottle for the morning or the commute, then switch to a fruit or dessert flavour in the evening. The Bang collection has plenty of other shortfills to rotate with, so you can change profile without changing brand or format.

A more adventurous approach is to add a small amount of menthol to a fruit juice to create your own ice blend. Doing this in the main bottle is risky, because you cannot undo it. A safer method is to decant a small amount into a clean bottle first, mix in a ratio you like, and test it before committing. Some people start with a ratio of around ten parts fruit to one part menthol and adjust from there, but taste is personal and there is no correct answer.

If you find the 200ml format suits you, there are a few sensible upgrades. A better sub-ohm tank with generous airflow can make a thick liquid taste noticeably cleaner. Spare coils mean you never get caught out. A funnel or a set of small labelled bottles makes carrying easier. The vape kits collection is worth browsing if your current hardware is struggling with thick juice.

If you decide the format is more effort than you want, it is no failure. Many people who try shortfills move back to something simpler. Pod kits with refills offer less fuss, and disposable vapes offer none at all. Shortfills reward people who enjoy tinkering. If that is not you, choose the format that gets used.

Whichever way you go, keep an eye on the price of your regular purchases. Our sale page is updated regularly, and it can be a good way to try a different brand without paying full price.

Delivery, returns and age checks

Free standard delivery applies to orders over £20 and takes two to three working days. Below that threshold, standard delivery is £2.99. If you need it sooner, next-day delivery is £4.99 when you order before 4pm, Monday to Friday. Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day. Full details are on our delivery and returns page, and it is worth reading before you check out.

Every order is age-verified at checkout, and on delivery. You must be 18 or over to buy, and where an automated check is inconclusive we may ask for ID before dispatch. This is not something we enjoy, but it is the right way to run a shop that sells nicotine products, and it is explained in full on the age verification page.

Returns work differently from most online shops, so understand them before you order. For hygiene and safety reasons we cannot accept returns on opened e-liquids. Faulty items can be returned within 30 days for a replacement or refund, so if your bottle arrives leaking or damaged, get in touch quickly and we will sort it. This is another reason to be sure the format suits your device before you buy.

As for authenticity, the stock we sell is genuine. We source from brands and authorised UK distributors, which matters with e-liquid because counterfeit bottles are a real problem in the wider market. If anything about your delivery looks wrong, tell us.

Our support team is available Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, through the contact page or by email at help@vapeshoponline.co.uk. For quick questions about your order, the FAQ page answers the most common ones. If you are building a bigger basket, check the vape deals page for multibuy offers, which apply automatically in the basket.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bang 200ml Shortfill E-Liquid Mrs Menthol nicotine-free?

Yes, as supplied it is sold at 0mg, so it contains no nicotine. The bottle is a shortfill, which means it has spare headroom so adults can add nicotine shots if they want a strength above zero. Shots are not included in the bottle. If you leave it as it arrives, you have a nicotine-free liquid. Check the label for the full details, including fill volume and ingredients.

What does Mrs Menthol taste like?

The listing names menthol as the flavour with no second fruit or sweet note, so expect a cold, minty and clean profile. The cooling is felt mainly in the throat and at the back of the nose, and it fades shortly after you exhale. Perception varies between people, so treat this as an expectation rather than a promise. Slightly warmer vapour tends to soften the chill, while cooler vapour makes it crisper.

How long does a 200ml bottle last?

There is no puff rating, because puffs apply to sealed devices rather than bottles of liquid. How long 200ml lasts depends on your tank, coil, power setting and habits. As an illustration only, someone using 2ml a day would take around 100 days, at 3ml a day around 66 days, and at 5ml a day around 40 days. Heavy sub-ohm users get through it fastest.

Can I use it in a disposable vape or a small pod kit?

No. A 200ml shortfill is a thick liquid made for refillable sub-ohm tanks, and it will not wick properly in most small pod devices or closed systems. You cannot refill a sealed disposable at all. If you use a pod device, look for compatible refills or nicotine salt liquids instead. Always check your device manual for the liquid types it supports before filling.

How many nicotine shots can I add?

That depends on the bottle's headroom, which is printed on the label, so check it before you buy any shots. As a guide, a typical 10ml shot at 18mg/ml added to 200ml gives about 0.9mg/ml, two shots about 1.6mg/ml and four shots exactly 3mg/ml. If the bottle cannot hold your chosen number, pour into a larger clean bottle or mix a smaller portion at a time.

What nicotine strength should I choose if I add shots?

Start low. Sub-ohm vaping delivers large puffs, so lower strengths usually feel plenty strong. Menthol can make a stronger liquid feel smoother than it really is, which tempts people to overshoot. Add less than you think you need, then adjust upwards slowly. If low strengths never feel satisfying, a pod kit with nicotine salt liquid may suit you better than adding more shots.

What is the VG and PG ratio?

The exact split is printed on the bottle label, so check it when your parcel arrives instead of relying on a figure from a web page. Shortfills are generally thicker, higher-VG liquids designed for sub-ohm coils with wide wicking ports. If you are unsure whether your coil copes with the thickness, contact our team with your device model and we will help you.

Will it feel very cold or harsh in the throat?

Menthol is a cooling flavour, so you should expect a noticeable chill. How harsh it feels depends mainly on your power setting, airflow and nicotine strength. If it feels too icy, raise the power slightly or tighten the airflow to warm the vapour. If it feels sharp, lower the strength or stay at 0mg. A fresh coil also makes a noticeable difference.

How should I store a 200ml bottle?

Keep it upright with the cap closed tightly, in a cool, dark place away from sunlight, radiators and hot cars. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Menthol is volatile, so a loosely capped bottle can dull faster. If you decant into a smaller bottle, label it with the flavour and strength, and use the liquid before the best-before date on the label.

How much is delivery, and can I return an opened bottle?

A single £9.99 bottle is under our £20 threshold, so standard delivery is £2.99 and takes two to three working days. Orders over £20 get free standard delivery, and next-day delivery is £4.99 if you order before 4pm, Monday to Friday. For hygiene and safety reasons we cannot accept returns on opened e-liquids, but faulty or damaged items can be returned within 30 days.
