Deliciu Nic Salt Watermelon Ice 20mg overview

Deliciu Nic Salt by Vaporesso in Watermelon Ice at 20mg/ml is a bottled nicotine salt e-liquid for refillable vaping. It is a refill and not a disposable vape, so there is no battery, coil or mouthpiece inside the box. You pour the liquid into a refillable pod or a small tank, which means the experience you get depends on the liquid and on the hardware you pair it with in roughly equal measure. This page covers both halves so you can decide whether it suits your setup before you order.

Watermelon Ice belongs to the cool, sweet fruit group of flavours. The watermelon element is juicy and lightly sugary, and the ice element is a cooling agent that adds a chilled edge on the inhale and a fresh feeling on the exhale. It is not a heavy menthol liquid, and it is not a plain fruit either, so it tends to appeal to vapers who want some freshness in a fruit flavour without moving all the way over to mint.

The key details at a glance:

  • Product: Deliciu Nic Salt by Vaporesso, Watermelon Ice
  • Nicotine: 20mg/ml nicotine salt (2%)
  • Bottle size: 10ml, the maximum size allowed for nicotine e-liquid in the UK
  • Base: nicotine salt. Check the label on your bottle for the exact VG/PG split, because ratios can differ between ranges and batches
  • Intended hardware: refillable pod systems and low-wattage mouth-to-lung (MTL) devices, usually running a 0.6 to 1.2 ohm coil
  • Age restriction: sold to adults aged 18 and over only

Nicotine salts differ from the older freebase nicotine used in sub-ohm liquids. The salt form is buffered with an acid, which makes the throat hit noticeably smoother at higher strengths. That is why 20mg salt is routinely recommended for small pod kits while 20mg freebase would be considered harsh to the point of unusable. The 20mg/ml figure is also the legal ceiling in the UK for any nicotine e-liquid, so you will not find a stronger bottle on the regulated market.

This guide is written for adult smokers and existing vapers in the UK who are weighing up a straightforward, reasonably priced salt in a popular flavour direction. It aims to be honest about what the liquid does well and where it may not suit you, including a short comparison with alternatives further down the page.

Watermelon Ice flavour profile

Watermelon in e-liquid is one of the older fruit profiles, and it has stayed popular because it is easy to recognise and easy to drink all day. The flavour here leans toward the sweet, slightly candy-like side of watermelon rather than a freshly sliced melon. Expect a rounded, juicy sweetness on the inhale, a light fruitiness through the middle of the draw and a clean, cool finish as you exhale.

A useful way to think about the layers is by what you notice and when:

  • On the inhale: a sweet, watery melon note arrives first, with a faint cool sensation at the front of the mouth.
  • Mid-draw: the fruit settles into a smoother, softer sweetness. The ice does not overpower it at this stage.
  • On the exhale: the cooling effect builds, leaving a refreshing finish at the back of the throat and a mild lingering sweetness on the lips.

The cooling level is moderate. If you are used to heavy menthol or strong mint blends, you may find Watermelon Ice gentle. If you normally vape unflavoured or lightly flavoured liquids, the cooling will be noticeable but not sharp. Because cooling agents act on temperature receptors rather than taste, the sensation also tends to feel stronger at higher wattage and lighter on a cooler, lower-powered setup.

Sweetness is the other thing to consider. Watermelon flavourings are usually built on sweet, candy-leaning compounds, and these can leave a sugary film on the coil over time. That is normal for fruit liquids and is why coils in dessert and fruit flavours often have a shorter life than coils used with tobacco or menthol liquids. It is not a defect, just a feature of the flavour category.

Flavour perception is personal and also varies with device. A tighter draw and lower wattage usually emphasise the sweetness and soften the cooling. A slightly looser draw and a little more power tend to open the fruit and push the ice forward. If the first few puffs taste muted, give the coil a few minutes to soak and take a couple of gentle draws before judging the liquid. A flat or burnt taste on a brand new pod almost always points to a dry wick rather than a problem with the e-liquid itself.

Nicotine strength and whether 20mg is the right choice

The nicotine strength is the first decision to get right, because the wrong one makes everything else feel off. Deliciu Nic Salt Watermelon Ice is sold here at 20mg/ml, which is 2% nicotine by volume and the highest strength permitted in the UK. It is the top of the range, and it is meant for adult smokers who need a strong replacement for cigarettes, not for people who are new to nicotine.

As a rough guide, the following tends to match common smoking patterns:

  • Around 15 or more cigarettes a day, or the first one within 30 minutes of waking: 20mg salt is a sensible starting point.
  • 10 to 15 cigarettes a day: many people do well on 10mg to 12mg, and some start on 20mg and drop down once cravings settle.
  • Fewer than 10 a day, or social smoking: 20mg is likely to feel too strong. Look at 10mg or lower.
  • Never smoked, or do not currently use nicotine: do not start vaping. Nicotine is addictive.

Nicotine salts deliver nicotine into the bloodstream more quickly than freebase nicotine, and they do it with less harshness. That is helpful for smokers who want something that satisfies quickly, but it also means 20mg salt can be stronger in effect than the number suggests. Signs that the strength is too high include dizziness, nausea, a racing heart, a headache or a sweaty, jittery feeling. If you notice any of these, stop vaping, drink some water and consider a lower strength next time.

Signs that the strength is too low include constant cravings, chain vaping, rapidly emptying the pod or lingering thoughts of reaching for a cigarette. If you are going through a pod much faster than expected, increasing the strength can paradoxically reduce total consumption, because each puff satisfies you more.

The legal limit also explains why this range tops out at 20mg. UK rules cap nicotine in e-liquid at 20mg/ml and bottles at 10ml. They also limit refillable tanks to 2ml. This is the same framework that applies to every regulated e-liquid and pod on the UK market, so a 20mg bottle bought here is on par with the strongest product you could buy anywhere else in the country.

If you are using vaping to quit smoking, a step-down plan works well. Many people start on 20mg for a few weeks, move to 10mg, and then to 5mg or 3mg over several months. If you are unsure, the NHS stop smoking service and your local pharmacy can offer free advice.

Performance and puff delivery

Because Deliciu Nic Salt is a bottled liquid, the performance you get depends on how much you vape and what you vape it in. The most useful figure is how many puffs you can expect from a bottle. A 10ml bottle of nic salt is roughly equivalent to five fills of a standard 2ml pod. In low-wattage MTL use, one 2ml pod commonly delivers somewhere between 400 and 600 puffs, so a full 10ml bottle should give you in the region of 2,000 to 3,000 puffs. This is an estimate, not a measured figure, and the real number moves with your draw length, wattage, coil resistance and how often you chain vape.

What you can expect in everyday use:

  • Throat hit: noticeable but smooth at 20mg. Salt nicotine avoids the scratchy feeling that 20mg freebase would produce.
  • Vapour production: modest, in line with MTL pod systems. This is not a cloud-chasing liquid, and you should not expect large clouds from a typical pod kit.
  • Flavour delivery: clearest between about 8W and 15W on a mesh or ceramic pod. Higher power can thin the sweetness and make the cooling feel sharper.
  • Consistency: stays steady from the first puff to the last on a healthy coil. A gradual flavour fade over the life of a pod is normal as the coil ages.

Compared with a disposable vape, a refillable pod setup running this liquid gives you more control. You choose the fill level, the strength and the flavour, and you can top up as needed rather than binning the whole device. It also tends to have a lower running cost, which we cover further down.

One practical point about nicotine delivery. Nic salts are designed for low power. If you run this liquid at high wattage in a sub-ohm tank, you will get large puffs of 20mg vapour, which is very strong, and you will use the bottle very quickly. For that kind of use, a lower-strength salt or a freebase shortfill is more suitable. Stick with pod kits or low-wattage MTL devices where this liquid performs as intended.

If you notice the vapour feeling weak or the flavour fading well before the pod is empty, the cause is usually a tired coil, not the liquid. Replacing the coil or pod typically restores performance straight away.

Pod and coil compatibility

Deliciu Nic Salt is designed for low-power devices, and the main compatibility question is whether your pod or tank can handle a thinner salt-style liquid. In practice, most refillable pod systems can. This includes the Vaporesso XROS family and many other open-pod kits from other brands.

Here is what to look for when matching the liquid to a device:

  • Coil resistance: 0.6 to 1.2 ohm is the usual range for nic salt. Lower resistances (around 0.6 ohm) give warmer vapour and more flavour, while higher resistances (around 1.0 to 1.2 ohm) give a tighter, cooler draw and make a pod fill last longer.
  • Coil type: mesh coils, which have a wide surface area, tend to produce a more even flavour and are common in modern pod kits. Ceramic and cotton-wick coils also work and can be gentler on thin liquids.
  • Power range: most pods using this liquid work well between about 8W and 18W. Always check your device or coil packaging for the recommended range.
  • Fill volume: UK regulations limit refillable tanks and pods to 2ml, so you will refill several times from one 10ml bottle.

Do not use this liquid in a rebuildable atomiser or a high-power sub-ohm tank. The 20mg nicotine content is designed for small, low-output devices, and using it in a high-wattage setup would give you a much larger nicotine dose per puff than intended.

Before you use a new pod or coil, prime it. Fill the pod, leave it to stand for five to ten minutes so the wick can soak up the liquid fully, and then take a couple of gentle draws without pressing the firing button too hard. This protects the coil from dry hits and noticeably extends its life. Many early burnt tastes come from a coil that was used before it was properly soaked.

Coil life with a sweet, fruit-forward liquid like this one varies. Many vapers find a coil lasts one to two weeks of regular use, but heavy use or a high wattage shortens that. If the flavour goes dull or you notice a burnt or sugary taste that does not clear, replace the coil rather than adding more liquid. A fresh coil is cheaper than a wasted bottle.

Battery, charging and recycling

There is no battery in the bottle. The liquid needs a device, and the device carries the battery. That is worth stating clearly because it shapes the whole ownership experience: charging, safety and disposal are all about your pod kit, not about this product.

General battery guidance for the kind of pod kit that suits this liquid:

  • Capacity: compact pod kits commonly carry batteries in the 400mAh to 1,000mAh range. At 8W to 15W, a 1,000mAh battery gives around a day of moderate use.
  • Charging: most modern kits charge over USB-C and take roughly 30 to 90 minutes from empty. Always use the cable supplied or a reputable replacement.
  • Charging habits: avoid charging overnight on a bed, a sofa or any soft surface. Unplug once the device is full and never leave it charging unattended.
  • Temperature: do not leave your device in a hot car or in direct sunlight, and do not charge it if it is damaged or swollen.

Because lithium-ion cells are involved, safe handling matters. Never carry a loose device in a pocket with coins or keys, and stop using a kit that smells of burning, gets unusually hot or has a cracked casing.

Recycling is where UK vapers can make a real difference. Single-use disposable vapes have been banned in Great Britain since 1 June 2025, so refillable kits like the ones used with this liquid are the standard route. When a kit reaches the end of its life, do not put it in household bins. Batteries inside devices are a fire risk in bin lorries and recycling centres. Take them to a retailer that offers take-back, or to a local household waste recycling centre with a small electrical items point. Many UK vape shops and supermarkets accept devices and batteries for free, and drop-off locators on council websites will show the closest point.

For the bottle itself, rinse out an empty 10ml container and check with your local council whether small plastic bottles go into kerbside recycling. If your council does not take them, a household waste recycling centre usually will. Remove the nozzle where possible and keep any leftover liquid away from children and pets.

Bottle design and build quality

The product itself is a 10ml bottle, so build quality comes down to the packaging, the nozzle and the label rather than to electronics. These are the practical details that matter when you are refilling a pod several times a day.

  • Format: a 10ml plastic bottle with a narrow dropper-style nozzle. The narrow tip is designed to fit small fill ports on pod kits without spilling.
  • Cap: a child-resistant, tamper-evident cap, which is a legal requirement for nicotine liquids in the UK. It takes a little effort to open, and that is intentional.
  • Material: plastic is soft enough to squeeze gently, which helps with controlling flow into small fill holes.
  • Label: carries the flavour name, nicotine strength, ingredients, warnings and batch details, as the law requires. Check the label when you receive the bottle and compare the nicotine strength with your order.

Most 10ml nicotine bottles give you better control if you hold them at a slight angle, rest the tip against the edge of the fill port and squeeze slowly. It is easy to overfill a small pod, and overfilling is the cause of most leaks and gurgling. Fill up to the line shown on your pod or just below the top of the chimney if there is no line.

As for storage, keep the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Light and heat degrade flavour and can darken the liquid over time. Darkening is natural with nicotine salt, because nicotine oxidises, and a slightly deeper colour does not usually mean the liquid has gone off. A bottle stored properly tends to stay at its best for around 12 months from opening, though the sealed shelf life is usually longer. If it smells off, tastes noticeably different or has separated, replace it.

Finally, keep every bottle out of sight and reach of children and pets. Nicotine liquid can be harmful if swallowed or if it touches the skin. If it gets on your skin, wash with soap and water. If it is swallowed or you feel unwell after contact, seek medical help immediately.

Who this e-liquid is for

Deliciu Nic Salt Watermelon Ice at 20mg is aimed at a fairly specific audience. Being clear about that audience helps you decide whether it will work for you or whether another product would suit better.

Good fit for:

  • Adult smokers who currently smoke around 15 or more cigarettes a day and want a strong, smooth replacement.
  • Existing pod users who like cooling fruit flavours and want a straightforward refill rather than a disposable.
  • Vapers who prefer MTL draws and low-wattage kits with a tight, cigarette-like pull.
  • People who want to refill and reuse a device to cut waste and running costs.

Not a good fit for:

  • Anyone who has never smoked or used nicotine. Do not start.
  • Light or occasional smokers, who should choose a lower strength.
  • People who like large clouds and use sub-ohm devices. A salt at 20mg is not designed for that kind of use.
  • Anyone who dislikes any cooling sensation and prefers a pure fruit taste with no menthol-style finish.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with heart conditions and anyone under 18. Speak to a medical professional about quitting methods that suit you.

For smokers trying to switch, a few habits improve the odds. Move over fully rather than mixing cigarettes and vaping, because partial switching often means you keep most of the health risk. Pick a flavour you enjoy, because enjoyment is one of the strongest predictors of staying off tobacco. And give yourself a couple of weeks to adjust, since the taste, the hand motion and the nicotine delivery all feel different from smoking at first.

If you are weaning off nicotine altogether, 20mg is a starting point rather than a destination. Plan to reduce the strength gradually, and use free NHS support if you want a structured plan. Vaping is not risk-free, but for adult smokers it is widely regarded as far less harmful than continuing to smoke.

How to use Deliciu Nic Salt Watermelon Ice

Using a bottled liquid is straightforward once you have done it a couple of times. Follow the steps below, and read your device manual for anything specific to your kit.

  • Check the device first. Make sure the pod or tank is clean, undamaged and compatible with nicotine salt. Confirm that the coil is the right resistance and is not near the end of its life.
  • Open the bottle. Press down and turn the child-resistant cap. Keep the bottle upright and away from your face.
  • Fill the pod. Remove the pod from the device if possible, open the fill port, rest the nozzle against the edge and squeeze gently. Stop just below the fill line or max mark. Do not cover the central air tube.
  • Wipe up spills. Clean any liquid from the outside of the pod and from the drip tip. Liquid on the contacts can cause misfires.
  • Let it soak. Leave the filled pod standing for five to ten minutes, upright, so the wick can saturate.
  • Take gentle first puffs. Take two or three short draws without chaining. This primes the coil and avoids dry hits.
  • Vape at a steady pace. Use slow, gentle draws of two to three seconds. MTL pods work best with a slow pull, like sipping through a thin straw.
  • Refill before it runs dry. Top up when the pod is about a third full, and do not run it empty, because dry wicks burn.

A few extra habits make a difference. Take a break between pods or tanks to avoid nicotine overload. If you switch flavours, change the pod or coil to avoid ghosting, where the previous flavour lingers on the wick. Store spare coils somewhere cool and dry, and always keep the bottle sealed when you are not filling.

For safety, never vape in a car with children present, never vape near open flames or oxygen equipment, and never mix nicotine liquid with other substances. Do not add flavour concentrates, VG or other additives to a nicotine-containing bottle, as this changes the strength and can make the liquid unsafe.

If you are new to refillable kits, practise a fill or two over a sink or a tissue until you are comfortable with how much the nozzle delivers per squeeze.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most issues with a refillable setup come from the device and not from the liquid. Before you decide anything is wrong with the bottle, work through these common problems.

  • Burnt or harsh taste: usually a dry hit from a coil that is not saturated or is nearing the end of its life. Let the pod soak, take shorter puffs and lower the wattage. If the burnt taste persists after a refill, replace the coil.
  • Weak or muted flavour: the coil may be gunked up from sweet residue, particularly in fruit flavours. Replace it. Also check that the pod is not low on liquid, and avoid chain vaping, which lets the wick dry out.
  • Leaking from the pod: often caused by overfilling or a poorly seated pod. Fill to the line, wipe the pod, check that seals and o-rings are in place and store the kit upright. Change the temperature of your storage, as heat expands air in the pod and pushes liquid out.
  • Gurgling or spitting: too much condensation or flooding. Blow gently through the drip tip to clear the airflow and wipe the mouthpiece. Reduce the fill level slightly.
  • Device not firing: check that the battery is charged, the pod is seated properly and the contacts are clean. Wipe contacts with a dry cotton bud.
  • Flavour ghosting: if you changed flavours without changing the coil, the old flavour can linger. Replace the coil.
  • Throat hit too harsh: try a lower wattage, a slower draw or a lower nicotine strength.
  • Dizziness or nausea: stop vaping at once and rest. Consider a lower strength and a longer gap between puffs.

When a coil fails prematurely, the most common reasons are running too much power, vaping without priming, chain vaping and using a very sweet liquid for long periods. A sweet watermelon flavour can shorten coil life compared with a tobacco or plain menthol liquid, so budget for replacing coils more often than you might expect.

If the liquid itself looks cloudy, smells sour or tastes different from earlier fills, do not use it. Check the batch code on the label and contact the shop with your order details and a photo of the bottle. Faulty or incorrectly labelled goods are covered under UK consumer law, and a reputable retailer will arrange a replacement or refund.

Value for money

Value is easier to judge with a rough running-cost comparison. A 10ml bottle of nic salt is usually priced at a modest level in the UK, and it is estimated to give around 2,000 to 3,000 puffs in a typical pod kit. Disposable vapes, which have been banned in Great Britain since June 2025, were marketed at around 600 puffs per unit, so a single bottle of salt covers several times that number of puffs for comparable or lower spend.

The factors that determine whether this liquid is good value for you:

  • Price per ml: bottled nic salt is typically priced per 10ml, and multi-buy offers can reduce the unit price. Check the current price on the page and compare offers.
  • Coil costs: factor in the cost of replacement coils or pods, which is an ongoing expense. A pack of coils is usually a small fraction of the bottle price.
  • Device cost: you need a pod kit. Entry-level kits are widely available at modest prices and can be reused for months.
  • Strength: a stronger liquid satisfies faster, which can reduce total usage for heavier smokers.
  • Waste: refilling a single device generates less electronic waste than repeatedly buying single-use products, so it is better for the environment as well as for your wallet.

Compared with smoking, the saving is significant. A pack-a-day smoker in the UK spends well over a hundred pounds a month on tobacco, whereas a typical refillable setup costs a small fraction of that, even after allowing for liquid, coils and the occasional replacement device. The exact amount depends on your habits and on tobacco prices, but the direction of the saving is consistent.

Where value can slip is in poor pairing. Using the liquid in a device with a wrong coil, running too much power or leaving the bottle in a warm place can all waste liquid and shorten the life of your coils. Spend a little time learning the basics, and the cost per day falls noticeably.

If you vape heavily, buying several bottles together can lower the cost per bottle and reduce the number of delivery charges you pay. Check the basket for any bundle pricing or free delivery thresholds before you check out.

How it compares with other options

No single e-liquid fits everyone, so it helps to see how Deliciu Nic Salt Watermelon Ice stacks up against the alternatives you are likely to consider. The comparisons below are meant to be fair and general, since formulations and prices change.

Against other 10ml nic salt ranges (for example IVG Salts, Nasty Salt, Dinner Lady Salts or Elfliq):

  • Most established nic salt ranges offer a watermelon or melon-and-ice flavour, so the real differences come down to sweetness, cooling level and price. Some competitors lean more heavily on cooling, while others are sweeter and more candy-like.
  • Deliciu sits in the moderate zone: a rounded sweetness with a gentle cooling finish. If you want something much colder or much more intense, a competitor with a double-ice or menthol-heavy profile may suit you better.
  • Price varies from range to range. It is worth comparing the cost per 10ml and any multi-buy deal before you pick a favourite.

Against a refillable shortfill (50ml or 100ml, nicotine added separately):

  • Shortfills are normally for sub-ohm tanks and higher wattage, with larger clouds and lower nicotine. They are a different style of vaping.
  • Nic salt in a 10ml bottle is more convenient for pod use, and it delivers nicotine more efficiently at low power.

Against a pre-filled pod or closed-pod system:

  • Pre-filled pods are convenient and have no refilling mess, but they typically cost more per ml and tie you to one brand's flavours.
  • A refillable setup using bottled salt gives you much more flavour choice and lower long-term running costs, at the price of a short learning curve.

Against tobacco and menthol flavours:

  • Fruit-and-ice flavours like Watermelon Ice are popular with vapers who have moved away from tobacco and want a clear separation from the taste of smoking. Some smokers prefer a tobacco flavour at first and move to fruit later. There is no wrong answer, and the best advice is to choose the one you will actually enjoy using.

In short, this liquid is a sensible, mid-range choice for adult smokers looking for a smooth salt in a familiar, refreshing flavour. It is not trying to be the most intense or the cheapest option, and it does not need to be. If the profile and price suit you, it makes a reliable everyday liquid.

Frequently asked questions

Is 20mg the right nicotine strength for me?

20mg/ml suits adult smokers who get through around 15 or more cigarettes a day or who smoke soon after waking. Lighter smokers are usually more comfortable with 10mg or lower, and non-smokers should not use nicotine at all. If you feel dizzy or sick, stop and move to a lower strength.

Do I need to charge this e-liquid?

No, the bottle is not a battery-powered product and has nothing to charge. The pod kit you put it in has a battery, which usually charges over USB-C in 30 to 90 minutes. Use the cable supplied and never leave a device charging unattended overnight.

Can I mix this with other flavours or add other liquids to the bottle?

We do not recommend adding anything to a nicotine bottle, because it changes the strength and can affect safety. If you want to try a different flavour, buy a separate bottle and switch pods or coils to avoid ghosting. Other Deliciu Nic Salt flavours are listed on the site if you want to compare.

How long will a 10ml bottle last?

A 10ml bottle is roughly five fills of a standard 2ml pod, which is commonly around 2,000 to 3,000 puffs in a low-wattage MTL kit. It could last from several days to a couple of weeks depending on how often you vape and at what power. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed figure.

Is it good value compared with disposables?

For most regular vapers, yes. Disposable vapes have been banned in Great Britain since June 2025, and a refillable kit with bottled salt usually costs less per puff over time. You do need a pod kit and replacement coils, which should be factored into your budget.

Who should not buy this product?

Anyone under 18, anyone who has never smoked or used nicotine, and anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should not use it. People with heart conditions or other health concerns should speak to a doctor first. Light smokers should pick a lower nicotine strength.

Which devices does it work in?

It is designed for refillable pod systems and low-wattage MTL devices, typically with a 0.6 to 1.2 ohm coil and a power range of roughly 8W to 18W. This includes Vaporesso XROS-style kits and many other open-pod devices. It is not intended for high-wattage sub-ohm tanks or rebuildable atomisers.

How do I stop my pod from leaking?

Do not overfill, and stop just below the fill line. Wipe the pod after filling, make sure seals are seated and store the kit upright. If leaks continue, replace the pod or coil, as worn parts are the usual cause.

Do you deliver across the UK, and how fast?

Yes, orders are delivered across the UK to adults aged 18 and over. Delivery options and times are shown at checkout, and an age check may be needed on arrival. Check the basket for current shipping rates and any free delivery threshold.

What if my bottle arrives damaged or incorrect?

Contact us as soon as you can with your order number and a photo of the bottle and packaging. Under UK consumer law, faulty or wrongly supplied goods can be returned for a replacement or refund. For hygiene and safety reasons, opened e-liquids are usually only accepted back if they are faulty.

Arrived next day as promised

Flavour holds up all the way through. Some brands get weaker after a few days but this stays consistent.

Good quality all round

Cracking flavour, honestly. Been through a few of these already. Can't fault it at the price.

Flavour holds up to the last puff

Honestly, I was unsure at first but this has been great. Flavour is strong and lasts the full session. No complaints at all.
