Overview: Elf Bar 600 Prefilled Pods in Elf Turbo Ice

Elf Bar 600 Prefilled Pods in Elf Turbo Ice are factory-filled replacement pods for an Elf Bar style rechargeable pod device. Instead of throwing away a complete vape once the liquid runs out, you keep the battery section and swap in a fresh, sealed pod. Each pod carries its own coil and a pre-measured amount of nicotine salt e-liquid, so there is nothing to fill, no bottle to open and no coil to prime separately. That convenience is the whole appeal: a closed-pod system that behaves much like the disposable vapes many UK adult smokers and ex-smokers became used to, but with a reusable battery that stays with you.

The headline figure is 600 puffs per pod. As with every puff count in this category, that is an estimate based on short, regular draws rather than a guarantee. Your own habits will move the number up or down, and the performance section below explains how and why.

Elf Turbo Ice is an iced flavour. The name points to a cold, cooling profile rather than a dessert or candy one, and in practice that means a fresh, chilled inhale with a clean finish. If you want to know whether that suits your taste before you buy, the flavour section describes what to expect and which other flavours in the wider Elf Bar pod range sit close by.

Here is a quick snapshot of the specification. Treat the figures as typical for this class of product and confirm anything critical against the details on the listing page, because batches and packaging can change.

  • Puffs: approximately 600 per pod
  • Pod type: sealed, prefilled, replaceable pod with an integrated coil
  • E-liquid capacity: 2ml, the maximum pod size UK rules allow
  • Nicotine: nicotine salt, with 20mg/ml (2%) being the legal ceiling in the UK
  • Coil: mesh coil built into the pod
  • Battery: lives in the device, not the pod; typically around 500mAh in this class, USB-C charging
  • Activation: most devices of this type are draw-activated, so there is no button to press

One point of context matters for UK buyers. Single-use vapes were banned from sale in Great Britain from 1 June 2025. A prefilled pod that clicks into a reusable, rechargeable battery is a different product type, which is a large part of why pod systems like this one have grown in popularity. You must be 18 or over to buy, and we verify that at checkout.

Performance and puff delivery

A 2ml pod rated at 600 puffs works out to roughly 0.0033ml of liquid per puff, or about 3.3 microlitres. That is a modest amount, and it tells you what kind of experience to expect. This is a light, discreet, mouth-to-lung style of vaping with a tight draw, not a cloud-chasing setup. Vapour production is moderate, the throat hit is gentle for a nicotine salt product, and each draw feels consistent from the first puff to roughly the last fifth of the pod.

How long 600 puffs lasts depends on how you vape. As a rough guide:

  • Light use (around 80 to 100 puffs a day): a pod can last six or seven days.
  • Moderate use (around 150 to 200 puffs a day): expect three to four days.
  • Heavy use (300 or more puffs a day): roughly two days, and you may find the pod feels short for you.

Several things push the real figure away from 600. Long, slow draws use more liquid than short ones. Chain vaping, taking many puffs in quick succession, heats the coil harder and burns through liquid faster. Cold weather thickens e-liquid slightly and can make the first few puffs feel muted. A battery that is nearly flat can also give weaker output even when the pod still has plenty of liquid left.

Towards the end of a pod you will notice the signs. Vapour thins out, the flavour fades, and eventually you may taste something slightly toasted. That is the cotton wick running low on liquid. It is the cue to swap the pod rather than keep pulling, because forcing dry puffs through a coil gives an unpleasant taste and shortens the life of the contacts and the device.

It is worth being straight about what 600 puffs means in nicotine terms too. A 2ml pod at 20mg/ml holds about 40mg of nicotine in total, which is roughly 0.07mg per puff in the liquid. What you actually absorb varies from person to person and puff to puff, so do not treat that as a dose. It does show why this pod is aimed at people who want a measured, moderate session rather than endless all-day vaping.

If you find 600 puffs disappears too quickly, that is useful information. It may mean a larger pod format or a refillable kit would suit you better, a point we pick up in the value and comparison sections.

Flavour profile: what Elf Turbo Ice tastes like

Elf Turbo Ice sits in the iced category. Rather than building a sweet fruit or dessert flavour and adding a trace of menthol, iced profiles lead with the cooling sensation and let the flavour note ride behind it. The result is a crisp, chilled inhale, a clean mid-palate and an exhale that stays cool without leaving a heavy sweetness on the tongue. If you enjoy a fresh, almost minty-cold finish and dislike syrupy flavours, this is the direction to look in.

Because the cooling agent is the star, the strength of the chill is the thing to think about. Iced flavours in this pod class are generally noticeable but not harsh. People who find strong menthol too sharp usually describe them as refreshing rather than icy-burning. People who want an aggressive arctic blast may find they would prefer a dedicated menthol or mint flavour. We would rather you know that now than discover it after opening the pack.

Flavour behaviour over the life of a pod is fairly predictable. The first few puffs are the cleanest as the mesh coil settles. Through the middle of the pod the flavour is steady. Near the end, as the wick runs low, the cooling tends to hold on longer than the underlying flavour note, so the last stretch can taste a bit thinner and more menthol-forward.

One practical tip: if you switch between flavours on the same device, the mouthpiece can carry a faint trace of the previous pod for a puff or two. Wiping the mouthpiece with a dry tissue before fitting a new pod keeps the change clean.

If you like the idea of this pod but want something different, the wider Elf Bar pod range has typically included a spread of tastes. Flavours you may come across in this style of range include:

  • Strawberry Ice: sweet berry with a cool finish
  • Watermelon Ice: light, juicy and chilled
  • Blue Razz Lemonade: tart blue raspberry with citrus
  • Blueberry: a rounded, jammy fruit flavour
  • Spearmint: a softer, sweeter mint
  • Pineapple Peach Mango: a tropical blend
  • Cola: fizzy, caramelised sweetness
  • Cream Tobacco: a smooth, dessert-leaning tobacco note

Availability changes from batch to batch, so check the listing for what is currently in stock before you plan a multi-flavour order.

Design and build quality

The pod itself is a small, lightweight moulded plastic cartridge that seats into the top of the device. It is compact enough to disappear into a jacket pocket or a bag without a bulge, and light enough that you stop noticing it in your hand. The mouthpiece is integrated into the pod, which keeps the joins to a minimum and reduces the places a leak can start.

Look closely at a new pod and you will find the details that matter most. Two small metal contacts on the base carry power from the battery to the coil. A sealed fill port sits underneath or at the side, closed at the factory. A small air channel runs through the pod to the mouthpiece. A thin film or plug protects the liquid and the airflow openings in transit, and you should check for and remove any packaging film as instructed before first use.

Build quality on pods of this kind is judged on three points: how firmly the pod seats, how well the seal holds, and how clean the finish is.

  • Seating: a good pod pushes in with a clear click or a firm magnetic pull and does not wobble. If it rocks or feels loose, remove it and reseat it squarely.
  • Sealing: the liquid chamber should be fully closed with no visible seepage around the mouthpiece or the base. A tiny trace of condensation after use is normal. Visible pooling is not.
  • Finish: the plastic should be free of burrs and misaligned seams. Because the pod is a consumable, you should not expect jewellery-grade finishing, but you should expect it to feel solid.

The e-liquid chamber is typically translucent or has a viewing window, so you can see roughly how much is left. That is genuinely handy, because the puff estimate is only ever a guide and the liquid level is the real clock.

Since the pod is a sealed unit, it is not designed to be opened or refilled. Do not try to prise it apart or refill it with bottled liquid. Doing so can damage the seal, cause leaks, and in the worst case lead to a coil that runs dry and overheats. If you want a refillable setup, there are dedicated kits designed for it, and we mention those in the comparison section.

Store spare pods upright, in the original packaging, away from direct sun and radiators. Heat softens the seals and can encourage seepage.

Battery and charging

A prefilled pod does not contain a battery. The power comes from the device you click it into, and that is worth understanding because it changes how you think about running costs. The pod is the consumable part. The battery section is the reusable part, and it is the piece that you charge, look after and eventually recycle.

Devices in this class typically carry a battery of around 500mAh and charge through USB-C. That capacity is sized to pair with a small 2ml pod. In everyday use the battery commonly lasts through about one pod, and often a little beyond, but the exact figure depends on your puff style, the temperature and how old the battery is. If you vape heavily, plan on charging every day or two. If you vape lightly, a charge can last most of a week.

Charging is simple, and a few habits will keep the battery healthy:

  • Use a standard 5V USB charger or a computer port. A low-output charger is gentler on a small cell than a very high-output fast charger.
  • Use a good quality USB-C cable that is not frayed or bent at the connector.
  • Do not leave the device charging unattended overnight, and do not charge it on a soft surface such as a bed or sofa where heat cannot escape.
  • Stop charging if the casing becomes noticeably hot, swells, or smells odd, and do not use it again.
  • Charge at room temperature. A very cold or very hot battery should be left to settle before charging.

A full charge typically takes under an hour to a little over an hour on a standard charger, and the status light usually changes colour or stops flashing when it is finished. Check your device's manual for its exact indicator behaviour.

Do not carry a device loose in a pocket with keys or coins. Metal touching the charging port or the pod contacts can cause a short circuit, and lithium cells do not like that. Keep it in a case or a separate pocket.

When the battery section eventually stops holding a useful charge, do not put it in the bin. It contains a lithium cell and is classed as electrical waste. The recycling section below covers where to take it in the UK.

Mesh coil technology and airflow

The coil is the heating element that turns liquid into vapour, and it is built into the pod, so you get a fresh one every time you change pods. Pods in this range use a mesh coil rather than a traditional round wire coil. A mesh coil is a thin sheet of metal mesh, shaped into a small cylinder or strip, that sits against the cotton wick.

The reason makers favour mesh is surface area. A flat mesh touches far more of the wick than a thin wire wound around it, so heat is spread more evenly. The practical benefits in a pod this size are:

  • Faster response: the coil reaches working temperature quickly, so the first puff after a pause is not weak.
  • More even flavour: because the liquid is heated across a wider area, there are fewer hot spots that scorch the liquid and flatten the taste.
  • Efficient use of a small battery: mesh gets good vapour from modest power, which suits a compact device with a battery of this size.
  • Longer coil life in the pod: the lower heat stress helps the coil last the full 600 puffs rather than failing early.

Coil resistance in this class of pod is typically around 1 ohm. That pairs naturally with nicotine salt e-liquid, which is designed to be vaped at low power and feels smooth at 20mg/ml. Higher-power freebase liquids behave very differently, which is another reason the pod is prefilled and sealed rather than meant for you to refill with whatever you have to hand.

The airflow is fixed. There is no adjustable ring, so the draw tightness is set at the factory. It is a mouth-to-lung draw: you pull gently into your mouth, pause, then inhale. If you are coming from cigarettes, this tends to feel familiar. If you are used to loose, open airflow on a larger device, it will feel restricted.

Two habits protect the coil. First, after you fit a new pod, wait a few minutes before the first puff so the wick can saturate fully. Second, avoid long chains of rapid puffs. Give the coil a few seconds between draws so the wick can keep up, and you will avoid the dry, burnt taste that comes from a starved coil.

Nicotine strength guidance

In the UK, nicotine-containing vape liquid is limited to 20mg/ml, which is 2% by volume. This limit applies across the board to e-liquids, prefilled pods and what used to be disposables, so you will not find anything legally on sale above it. These pods use nicotine salts, and a 20mg/ml salt is noticeably smoother than the same strength in freebase nicotine. That smoothness is deliberate. It lets people who need a satisfying hit get it without a harsh throat burn.

As a rule of thumb for choosing a strength:

  • 20mg/ml: usually suits people who smoked around ten or more cigarettes a day, or who smoked first thing in the morning. It is the strength that most closely matches the nicotine delivery heavier smokers are used to.
  • 10mg/ml to 12mg/ml: suits lighter or social smokers, or people stepping down. A strength like this is gentler and usually lets the flavour come through more.
  • 5mg/ml or lower: suits people who are close to finishing with nicotine, or who simply want a very light touch.

Check the strengths available on the listing. If this pod is offered only at 20mg/ml, then it is meant for people who already smoke or vape nicotine regularly. It is not a good fit for anyone who is new to nicotine.

If you pick a strength that is too high, you will usually know quickly. Typical signs include light-headedness, nausea, a headache, a racing pulse or a sweaty feeling. If that happens, stop, drink some water, and sit down until it passes. Next time choose a lower strength or take fewer puffs. If you pick a strength that is too low, the signs are the opposite: you keep reaching for the device and still crave a cigarette, and a higher strength may suit you better.

Remember the total picture: a 2ml pod at 20mg/ml holds around 40mg of nicotine. That is a meaningful amount spread over the life of the pod, so pace yourself. Nicotine is addictive, and vaping is intended for adults who already smoke or use nicotine. If you want to quit altogether, the NHS stop smoking service offers free support and can advise on the combination of products and behavioural help that suits you. This is general information, not medical advice.

Who it is for, and who should skip it

Being honest about fit saves everyone time and returns. These prefilled pods work well for some adults and not at all for others.

It is a good match if you:

  • Are an adult smoker or existing vaper who wants a simple, low-maintenance alternative to cigarettes.
  • Prefer a tight, mouth-to-lung draw similar to a cigarette rather than an open, cloudy draw.
  • Want a discreet, pocketable device with no fiddly filling or coil changes.
  • Like iced, cooling flavours and want a clean finish rather than a sweet one.
  • Already own, or are happy to buy, a compatible Elf Bar style pod device and want straightforward replacement pods.
  • Are moving away from throwaway vapes and want to reduce waste by keeping the battery and swapping only the pod.
  • Value a predictable, moderate session length of around 600 puffs per pod.

You should probably skip it if you:

  • Have never smoked or vaped. Nicotine is addictive and there is no reason to start.
  • Are under 18. It is illegal to sell nicotine products to anyone under 18, and we check.
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a heart condition and have not spoken to a doctor or pharmacist about nicotine use.
  • Want big clouds and a loose, open draw. This pod is built for a tight draw and modest vapour.
  • Vape heavily all day. At 600 puffs a pod, you will be changing pods often, and a larger-capacity format or a refillable kit would probably cost you less.
  • Want to mix your own flavours or use a particular bottled liquid. These pods are sealed and not meant to be refilled.
  • Do not own a compatible device and do not want to buy one. Pods only work in a device built for them.

Compatibility matters more than anything else on that list. Before you buy, check the listing for the device or devices these pods are designed to fit. A pod from a different system will not seat properly, and forcing it can damage the contacts. If you are unsure, send us a message with the name of your device and we will tell you straight whether it will work.

Fitting, using and disposing of the pods

Using a prefilled pod is straightforward, and the whole process takes under a minute.

  • Step 1, check the pod. Take the new pod out of its packaging and remove any protective film or plug on the mouthpiece or base. Look for visible damage or leaking liquid. If you see either, do not use it and contact us.
  • Step 2, fit the pod. Line the pod up with the device and push it in squarely until you feel it click or seat firmly. A pod that sits flush with no gap is fitted correctly.
  • Step 3, wait. Leave it for three to five minutes so the cotton wick can saturate with liquid. Skipping this is the most common cause of a burnt first puff.
  • Step 4, take a gentle puff. On a draw-activated device, simply inhale. There is no button to press. Take a few short, gentle puffs first, then settle into your normal rhythm.
  • Step 5, charge when needed. When the indicator light shows low battery, plug in a USB-C cable and charge before continuing.

For safety, keep the device and spare pods out of reach of children and pets. Nicotine liquid is harmful if swallowed or if it gets on the skin or in the eyes. If the pod leaks onto your hands, wash them with soap and water.

Disposal and recycling. Vape waste should never go in your general bin. Used pods contain residual liquid, a coil and in some cases traces of nicotine, and the battery section holds a lithium cell that can start fires in waste trucks and recycling plants. In the UK you have several options:

  • Take used pods and devices back to a retailer. Shops that sell vapes are generally expected to accept returns of vape waste.
  • Use the electrical waste bin at your local household waste recycling centre, which your council can point you to.
  • Use a supermarket or high-street small electricals collection point, where available. Confirm that the point accepts vape pods as well as batteries, because policies vary.

Let the pod run empty before recycling it, and leave it as it is rather than trying to take it apart. Doing so protects you and the people handling the waste.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with prefilled pods come down to a handful of causes. Work through these before assuming a product is faulty.

  • No vapour or the device does not respond. Check the battery first and charge it for a few minutes. Remove the pod and reseat it firmly. Wipe the contacts on both the pod and the device with a dry cotton bud. Make sure any protective film was removed from the pod.
  • Weak flavour or thin vapour. This is often a pod that has not saturated yet, so wait a few more minutes. It can also be a pod nearing the end of its life, or a battery that is almost flat.
  • Burnt or toasted taste. The wick is dry. Stop vaping on that pod. If it is a new pod, you may have puffed too soon or too fast. If it is an old pod, it is empty and should be replaced.
  • Gurgling or spitting. There is condensation or excess liquid in the airway. Hold the device with the mouthpiece pointing down and blow gently through it, or wipe it with a tissue. Take slower puffs.
  • Leaking. Check that the pod is seated squarely and that you stored the pod upright. Leaks are more likely after temperature changes, so avoid leaving the device in a hot car or a freezing bag. If a pod leaks heavily from new, keep it for us to look at.
  • Device flashing or showing a fault light. This usually means a poor connection, a short circuit or a pod that has run dry. Remove the pod, clean the contacts, and reseat it. Consult your device's manual for what each flash pattern means.
  • Sticky residue on the device. Wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, avoiding the charging port and the contacts, and dry thoroughly.
  • First puffs feel cold or muted. In low temperatures, e-liquid thickens. Keep the device somewhere warm for a few minutes before use.

If none of this fixes the problem and you think the pod is faulty, keep it, take clear photos of the issue, and get in touch with your order number. Do not keep trying a pod that is leaking or hot, and do not try to repair a swollen or hot device. Stop using it, move it away from anything flammable, and take it to a recycling point.

Value for money

The simplest way to judge value is cost per puff. Divide the price of a pod by 600. As an illustration, a pod priced at £5 works out at a little under 1p per puff, and a pod priced at £6 works out at exactly 1p per puff. Check the current price on the listing and run your own numbers, because prices change and multi-buy offers can bring the cost down further.

Compared with the old single-use format, the economics of a pod system are different. With a disposable you paid for the battery again every time you bought one. With a prefilled pod system you pay for the battery once, as part of the device, then only pay for pods. Over several weeks, that adds up to a real saving for anyone who vapes every day, and it produces much less electrical waste, since only the small pod is thrown away each time.

Compared with a refillable pod kit, a prefilled pod costs more per millilitre of liquid. Bottled nicotine salt e-liquid is cheaper per ml, and a refillable kit lets you reuse the same coil head for a number of refills. The trade-off is convenience. Prefilled pods are the easy option, and you pay a small premium for that ease.

So who gets good value from these pods?

  • Light to moderate vapers, who use a pod over several days and appreciate the lack of upkeep.
  • People who switch flavours often, because pods let you try different tastes without buying a full bottle of each.
  • Anyone who values simplicity and does not want to learn about coils, wicking and liquid ratios.

And who might find better value elsewhere?

  • Heavy vapers who go through a pod every day or two. A refillable kit usually works out cheaper over a month.
  • People who already own a refillable device and a stock of liquid.

It is also worth counting the cost of the device itself if you do not have one. A starter device is a one-off expense, but it needs to be factored in at the start. Once you own it, the ongoing cost is only the pods and the occasional replacement of a worn battery section.

Finally, think about cost of failure. A pod that leaks, dies early or never works is poor value at any price. Buying from a UK shop that stands behind its stock and answers messages, as we do, is part of the value equation.

How it compares with other options

No single product suits everyone, so here is a fair look at how these pods stack up against the main alternatives UK vapers consider.

Against the old Elf Bar 600 disposable. The earlier disposable was a single sealed unit with a built-in battery that you threw away when it was done. Single-use vapes can no longer be sold in Great Britain, so the prefilled pod and rechargeable device is the legal successor in format. You get a similar puff count and the same simple draw-and-go experience, with the battery reused. The downside is the up-front cost of the device.

Against other closed-pod systems such as Vuse ePod. Closed-pod systems from tobacco companies are widely sold in supermarkets and newsagents. They have broad availability and a familiar draw, and some use slightly different pod volumes and strengths. Elf Bar pods are generally known for their wider flavour spread, while the other systems tend to offer a more limited selection. Which one you prefer comes down to flavour and where you can buy.

Against refillable pod kits such as the Vaporesso XROS, OXVA Xlim or Voopoo Vmate families. Refillable kits cost less per millilitre, give you adjustable settings on some models, and let you pick from a huge range of bottled nicotine salts. They need a little more setup and upkeep: filling, replacing coil heads, and occasionally dealing with a leak. If you are comfortable with that, a refillable kit usually works out cheaper over time. If you are not, prefilled pods save you the hassle.

Against larger prefilled formats. Some devices take pods or cartridges with a similar 2ml capacity but longer rated life through higher-capacity batteries and different coil designs. If 600 puffs feels short to you, those may be worth a look.

In fairness, there are real limits here. You are tied to one pod format, and if the brand changes or retires a format, you need a new device. The 2ml legal cap on pods means you will always be changing them more often than a large refillable tank. And a 600 puff rating is a modest figure beside some of the bigger numbers advertised elsewhere.

Where these pods do well is in being simple, familiar, discreet and widely stocked. For an adult smoker looking for an easy switch with an iced flavour, that is a fair case to make, and it is the one we are comfortable making.

Frequently asked questions

Which nicotine strength should I choose?

The UK legal limit is 20mg/ml, and 20mg/ml nicotine salt suits people who smoked around ten or more cigarettes a day. Lighter or social smokers usually do better with a lower strength such as 10mg/ml or below if the listing offers one. If you have never smoked or vaped, you should not start using nicotine products.

How do I charge the device, and does the pod need charging?

The pod has no battery, so only the device needs charging, usually through a USB-C cable and a standard 5V charger. A full charge commonly takes around an hour. Do not leave it charging unattended overnight, and stop using it if it becomes hot or swollen.

Can I swap flavours between pods on the same device?

Yes. Pods are interchangeable on a compatible device, so you can change flavour whenever you fit a fresh pod. To avoid a trace of the old flavour in the first puff or two, wipe the mouthpiece area of the device with a dry tissue before fitting the new pod.

How long does one pod last?

A pod is rated at about 600 puffs. For a moderate user that is roughly three to four days, a light user may stretch it to a week, and heavy users may use one in about two days. Long draws, chain vaping and cold weather can all shorten it.

Is it good value compared with disposables or refillable kits?

Divide the pod price by 600 to see your cost per puff, then compare it with your current spend. A pod system works out cheaper than throwing away a full device each time, but a refillable kit with bottled liquid usually costs less per millilitre for heavy vapers. Prefilled pods suit people who value convenience.

Who should not buy these pods?

Do not buy them if you are under 18, have never smoked or vaped, or are pregnant or breastfeeding without medical advice. They are also a poor match for anyone who wants big clouds, an open draw or a refillable setup. If you have a health condition, speak to a doctor or pharmacist first.

Do you deliver across the UK, and how fast?

We deliver to UK addresses, and the available delivery options, costs and cut-off times are shown at checkout. Age verification applies to every order, and a signature or ID check may be requested on delivery. We do not ship these products outside the UK.

What is your returns and warranty policy if a pod is faulty?

If a pod arrives leaking, damaged or not working, contact us with your order number and clear photos and we will arrange a replacement or refund under your consumer rights. Unopened, unused stock can generally be returned within the period in our returns policy, while opened pods cannot normally be accepted back for hygiene reasons unless faulty. Please check the returns page for the exact terms.

Will these pods fit my device?

They are designed for Elf Bar style pod devices, but compatibility depends on the exact model, so check the device list on the product page before ordering. Pods from different systems do not interchange, and forcing a wrong pod can damage the contacts. If you are not sure, message us with your device name and we will confirm.

How do I know when a pod is empty, and where do I recycle it?

You will notice thin vapour, faded flavour and sometimes a toasted taste, and you can usually see the liquid level through the pod window. Do not put used pods in the household bin. Take them to a retailer that accepts vape waste, a council recycling centre electrical bin, or another small electricals collection point that takes vape products.

Proper taste, not watered down

Delivery was super fast and the product is genuine. I've had fakes before so this was a relief.

Fast delivery, happy customer

Really nice flavour — not too sweet, not too harsh. Perfect in the middle. Second order already placed.
