What the Elux Legend 8000 Blue Razz Gummy pod is

Elux Legend 8000 Prefilled Pods Blue Razz Gummy is a replacement pod for the Elux Legend 8000 pod system. It arrives already filled with nicotine salt e-liquid, it is rated at 8,000 puffs, and it is priced at £5.49 on this page. There is no filling, no dripping and no coil to fit. You click the pod into a compatible device and vape. That is the whole pitch, and for plenty of adult vapers it is exactly what they want.

The pod belongs to the wider Elux range, a brand known for sweet, fruit-forward flavours and straightforward hardware. Within that line-up the Legend 8000 sits in the middle. It is a step up from the 1,500-puff Legend pods, and it works out cheaper to run than the 15,000-puff Legend Ene hardware. If you want to see how pods like this compare as a category, our prefilled vape pods collection lays the alternatives out side by side.

The flavour is Blue Razz Gummy: a candy-style blue raspberry with a chewy gummy-bear sweetness and a trace of bubblegum. Two strengths are offered, 10mg and 20mg, both nicotine salt. This is a pod only. It is not a device, so you need an Elux Legend 8000 pod device to use it. If you do not own one yet, the matching kit is listed separately at £7.49 at the time of writing, which means the hardware adds roughly two pounds to the cost of a first pod.

A quick word on what this page does and does not claim. The 8,000 puff figure is the maker's rating, not a guarantee. Real-world life depends on how long you draw, how often you vape and which strength you pick. Wherever a number appears below, we try to say whether it comes from the listing or from simple arithmetic, and we flag the parts that vary from person to person.

Everything here is written for adults who already use nicotine. If you do not currently smoke or vape, there is no good reason to start, and this product is not aimed at you.

How a prefilled pod works inside the Legend 8000

Think of the pod as a sealed cartridge that carries everything which wears out. Inside the plastic shell sits a reservoir of e-liquid, a small heating coil and a wick that carries liquid from the reservoir to the coil. The device holds the battery and the electronics. When you inhale, the battery sends power through the contacts at the base of the pod, the coil heats, and the liquid turns into vapour you breathe in. Closed-pod systems of this type are normally draw-activated, so there is no fire button to learn. You just inhale.

Because the coil is built into the pod, you never touch it. When the pod is spent, you replace the whole thing. That is the trade-off at the heart of the format. You give up the ability to tinker, choose your own liquid or swap coils, and in return you get consistent flavour from the first puff to the last, with nothing to spill in a bag. You can read more about this style of hardware in our closed-pod vape kits range, where the same idea appears in several shapes and sizes.

The nicotine in this pod is a salt. Nicotine salts are made by pairing nicotine with an acid, which lets the vapour feel gentler on the throat at a given strength than older freebase nicotine would. That is why a pod rated at 20mg can feel smoother than you might expect, and also why you should respect the strength figure rather than judge it by how easy the first few puffs feel.

The 8,000 puff rating reflects how much liquid the pod holds and the assumptions the manufacturer used when testing it. A puff in those tests is a short, fairly gentle draw. Long, deep or very frequent draws use the liquid faster, and the coil may also need a short rest between them. Expect the pod to last somewhere near the rating if you vape in a moderate, steady way, and noticeably less if you chain vape.

One practical point follows from all this. A fresh pod needs a few moments for liquid to soak into the wick before the first draw tastes right. Skip that wait and you risk a dry, scratchy hit, which is covered in the troubleshooting section further down.

The Blue Razz Gummy flavour, described properly

Blue raspberry is not a real fruit. It is a confectionery flavour, the one you know from slush drinks, sweets and ice lollies, and Blue Razz Gummy leans fully into that. The listing tags it as blue raspberry, gummy bear and bubblegum, and that is a fair summary of what to expect.

On the inhale you get a bright, tangy sweetness, closer to a sherbet raspberry than to a punnet of fresh berries. The tang is there to stop the sweetness becoming flat, but it is gentle rather than sour. On the exhale the flavour rounds out into something soft and chewy, like a gummy sweet, with a faint bubblegum note that lingers on the tongue after you finish. The listing does not mention ice, menthol or a cooling agent, so treat this as a warm, plain-sweet vape rather than a chilled one.

Sweetness is high. If you generally prefer dry or fresh flavours, this will probably be too much. If you grew up on pick-and-mix, it will be familiar straight away. As with most dessert and candy profiles, long sessions can dull your palate, a bit like eating too many sweets in one sitting. If the flavour seems to fade halfway through the pod, it is worth resting for a day or switching to something sharper for a while before blaming the pod.

It helps to know the neighbours. Within the Legend 8000 pod line, Blueberry Sour Raspberry is the tarter option, Grape is another candy-leaning choice, Strawberry Raspberry Cherry is a more traditional red-fruit blend and Fresh Mint sits at the clean, non-sweet end. If Blue Razz Gummy sounds too sweet but you like the idea of raspberry, the sour version is the nearest alternative.

We have not tasted every pod in every batch, and flavour perception is personal, so treat this as a description rather than a promise. The general direction, though, is clear: sweet, tangy, chewy, candy-shop.

Who this pod suits, and who should skip it

Start with the people it fits best. Adult smokers who want to switch and need something that is easy to use will find a prefilled pod forgiving. There is nothing to measure, no coil to prime by hand and no liquid to pour. Adults who used single-use disposables before they were banned in the UK on 1 June 2025 often find the pod format the nearest replacement, because the experience is similar: pick it up, inhale, put it down. The difference is that the hardware is kept and only the pod is replaced.

It also suits anyone who likes sweet, candy-style flavours and does not want to think about them. If you are already a fan of gummy or bubblegum profiles, Blue Razz Gummy is an easy pick. And it suits people who want a predictable cost per day, which the running-cost section below works through in detail.

Who should skip it? If you want a cooling, icy or menthol hit, this is the wrong flavour, and a mint or an ice option in the same line would be a better match. If you enjoy changing liquids, building your own setup or experimenting with strengths in small increments, a closed pod will frustrate you, and you would be happier with a refillable system. And if you vape very heavily, a pod rated at 8,000 puffs will disappear quickly, so it may be worth looking at the 10,000 puff vapes range, where the bigger capacity can stretch between replacements.

There is a more important group to mention. This product contains nicotine, which is addictive. It is for adults aged 18 or over who already use nicotine. It is not for anyone under 18, for people who have never smoked, or for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure or any other medical concern, speak to your GP or pharmacist before switching products.

If you are trying to quit nicotine altogether rather than switch, free NHS stop smoking services can offer structured support alongside whatever product you choose.

The numbers: price, puffs and strengths

Here is what the listing tells us, in plain terms, followed by what each figure means for you.

  • Product: Elux Legend 8000 Prefilled Pods Blue Razz Gummy
  • Format: prefilled replacement pod, nicotine salt
  • Rated life: 8,000 puffs
  • Strengths: 10mg and 20mg
  • Price: £5.49
  • Matching kit: listed separately at £7.49 (device plus pod)

Start with the price. £5.49 for 8,000 rated puffs works out at roughly 6.9p per 100 puffs. That is a theoretical best case. If you only get 70 per cent of the rating, which is a sensible planning assumption for real use, the pod yields about 5,600 puffs and the cost climbs to roughly 9.8p per 100.

The strength figure is milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid. So 10mg means about 1 per cent nicotine and 20mg about 2 per cent. They are the two points on the scale most pod users cluster around, and the choice between them is covered in a section of its own.

The puff rating deserves a sceptical eye. Nobody counts their puffs, and the rating is not a legal minimum. It is a guide for comparing one pod with another. A pod rated at 8,000 puffs is not guaranteed to outlast one rated at 6,000 if you draw harder, but all else being equal it holds more liquid and should last longer between replacements.

The kit price is worth a second look if you are new to the system. Because the kit includes the device and a pod, and the pod alone costs £5.49, the device is effectively about £2 on top. If you are buying your first Legend 8000 setup, the kit is the better value route. Once you own the hardware, pods like this one are the only repeat purchase you need. Prices on a shop can change, so check the figure on the listing before you order.

Fitting the pod and your first session

Take your time with the first pod. Most problems people report with closed pods come down to rushing the first five minutes.

Before you begin, make sure the device has some charge. A flat battery is the most common reason a brand-new pod appears not to work. Check the pod for any protective film, cap or plug on the mouthpiece or base and remove it. Then look the pod over. If it is cracked or visibly leaking in the packaging, do not use it.

  • Line the pod up with the opening on the device so the contacts at its base meet the contacts inside.
  • Press it in firmly until it seats, which is usually felt or heard as a small click.
  • Leave it for a minute or two so liquid can soak into the wick.
  • Take two or three gentle, short draws without inhaling deeply, to get the coil going.
  • Then vape as normal, aiming for draws of two to three seconds.

The first puffs can taste faint or slightly papery. That is normal and usually clears within a handful of draws. If it does not, try pausing for another minute and repeating the gentle draws.

Think about technique too. A slow, steady mouth-to-lung draw suits most closed pods and keeps the flavour cleaner than a hard pull. Shorter draws also protect the coil, because the wick has time to refill between puffs. Long drags, especially close together, are what usually cause the burnt taste people complain about.

When you reach the end, the signs are fairly clear. Flavour thins out, vapour gets weaker, and you may notice a slight scorched note. Do not keep pushing on a pod that is clearly empty, because dry hits are unpleasant and harsh on the throat. Take the old pod out, fit the new one and repeat the short wait. If the pod ever refuses to register after a clean fit, the troubleshooting notes further down cover the usual fixes.

Choosing between 10mg and 20mg

This is the decision that matters most, and the right answer depends on how much you currently smoke or vape rather than on what sounds impressive.

A rough guide, not a medical rule. If you smoke around ten cigarettes a day or fewer, or you are already used to low-strength vaping, 10mg is the sensible starting point. If you smoke more than that, wake up craving nicotine, or have tried lower strengths before and found your cravings came straight back, 20mg is more likely to suit. Many people begin at 20mg to make the switch, then step down to 10mg once their cravings settle.

Because this is a nicotine salt, the throat hit is gentler than the same milligram figure in an older freebase liquid. That has two consequences. First, 20mg salt is smooth enough that new users sometimes vape it more heavily than they realise, and end up with more nicotine than intended. Second, 10mg salt is still a meaningful amount, and a person who has never used nicotine could feel unwell on it. If you are unsure, choose the lower strength and see how you get on. You can always go up next time.

Know the signs of too much nicotine: dizziness, nausea, a headache, sweating, a racing heartbeat or feeling light-headed. If any of those happen, stop vaping, get some fresh air and drink water. The signs of too little are the opposite: you keep reaching for the device, your cravings return within minutes, or you feel irritable and unsatisfied.

If your aim is to cut down over time, a common approach is to move down one strength after a few weeks of stable use, and then to space your sessions out rather than lowering them all at once. The wider range of nicotine salt e-liquids shows how salt strengths are typically laddered if you ever move to a refillable system and want finer steps than 10mg and 20mg.

Whatever you choose, keep pods away from children and pets, and never share a device with someone who does not already use nicotine.

What 8,000 puffs costs in real use

Let us do the sums honestly, because pod pricing looks cheaper than it feels until you actually map it to your habit.

Take the listed price of £5.49 and the rating of 8,000 puffs. Now think about how many puffs you take a day. Nobody knows this precisely, but a moderate user might take around 100, someone who vapes steadily through the day perhaps 200 and a heavy user 300 or more.

  • 100 puffs a day: the pod lasts about 80 days in theory, costing roughly 7p a day.
  • 150 puffs a day: about 53 days, or roughly 10p a day.
  • 200 puffs a day: about 40 days, or roughly 14p a day.
  • 300 puffs a day: about 27 days, or roughly 21p a day.

Those figures assume you really do get the full rated life. If you manage 70 per cent of it, trim the number of days accordingly: the 150-puff user would be looking at about 37 days rather than 53, which brings the daily cost to around 15p. Even then, it is a modest figure compared with a daily pack of cigarettes, though we would rather you judge for yourself than take a claim from us.

A few habits push real-world cost up. Chain vaping, long draws and vaping in a very hot place all use liquid faster. A few push it down: shorter draws, letting the device rest and keeping the pod out of direct heat.

If you buy more than one pod at a time, it is worth checking vape deals before you pay full price, as multi-buy offers sometimes shave a little off the per-pod cost. We would not suggest stocking up beyond what you can sensibly use. Pods have a shelf life, and flavour is at its best when the liquid has not sat for many months.

The bigger point is that your per-day cost will vary much more with your own behaviour than with the sticker price. Track your first pod, note how many days it lasts, and use that figure to plan every purchase afterwards.

Honest pros and cons

No pod is perfect, and it is more useful to know the trade-offs before you buy than after. Here is a balanced look at this one.

The strengths first:

  • Simple to use. No filling, no coil changes, no settings. Click in and vape.
  • Consistent flavour. The coil and liquid are matched, so the last puffs taste much like the first.
  • Clear pricing. At £5.49 for a rated 8,000 puffs, the cost per day is easy to work out and stays low.
  • Two strengths. 10mg and 20mg cover most switching smokers and give you room to step down.
  • Portable and tidy. A sealed pod is less likely to leak in a bag than a loose bottle and an open tank.

Now the drawbacks:

  • Locked to the format. You cannot refill the pod or swap the coil. When it is done, it is done.
  • Sweet to the point of heavy. Blue Razz Gummy is a strong candy profile, and some people tire of it faster than they would a fresh fruit or mint.
  • Puff rating is optimistic. Plan on getting somewhat less than 8,000 in practice.
  • Plastic waste. Each spent pod is another piece of plastic and electronics to recycle properly.
  • Needs the right device. The pod is only useful if you already own, or buy, a compatible Legend 8000 device.
  • Nicotine dependence. No pod removes that, and 20mg salt in particular is easy to over-use.

Weigh those up against what you want. If you value simplicity and a low daily cost, the pros win comfortably. If you want variety and control, the cons will feel bigger, and a refillable setup is a better fit. Neither answer is wrong. It just depends on what kind of vaper you are.

We would rather lose a sale than have you buy something that does not suit you, so if you are unsure, ask before ordering.

Storage, care and fixing common problems

Looking after pods properly costs nothing and prevents most of the faults people blame on the product. Keep unused pods upright, in their packaging, somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. A glove box, a windowsill or a jacket pocket against your body are all poor places, because heat thins the liquid and encourages leaks. Keep everything well away from children and pets, and do not carry spare pods loose in a bag with keys or coins.

Clean the device contacts now and then with a dry cotton bud. Dust or sticky residue on the connectors is a surprisingly common reason a pod fails to register. Never use water, and never wash the pod.

When something goes wrong, work through the likely causes in order:

  • No vapour at all: check the battery first, then re-seat the pod and make sure it clicked in fully. Wipe the contacts and try again.
  • Weak or papery flavour on a new pod: wait a minute or two, then take a few gentle draws to let the wick soak.
  • Burnt taste: usually the pod is empty, or you have been drawing too hard or too often. Rest the device. If the taste persists with a fresh pod, stop using it.
  • Gurgling or spitting: a little condensation in the mouthpiece is normal. Tap it out gently and wipe it clean.
  • Leaking: stop using the pod, wipe the device dry and replace the pod. Do not keep a visibly leaking pod in use.

If a fault carries on after you have tried these steps, do not struggle on. Send us the details through our contact page with the order number, a short description and, if it helps, a photo, and we will tell you what to do next.

Used pods should not go in the household bin. Take them to a vape recycling point, which many vape shops and household waste centres provide, and keep batteries and electronics separate from general rubbish.

Where to go next: kits, bigger puff counts and refillables

If you are still deciding whether this is the right pod, or you already know it is and want to plan ahead, a few nearby options are worth a look.

First, hardware. Anyone starting from scratch should consider buying the Legend 8000 kit rather than a loose pod, because the device adds only a couple of pounds to the first order. For a wider view of what a longer-lasting setup looks like, the big puff vape kits range collects the larger-capacity options. These cost more up front but can stretch between replacements, which suits heavier users.

Second, other flavours in the same line. Elux keeps the Legend 8000 pods consistent across more than a dozen flavours, so if you buy a pod and decide the sweetness is too much, switching to something fresher costs you a pod, not a new device. A sensible habit is to keep two different flavours on rotation. It helps with the palate fatigue that comes from vaping the same sweet profile all day.

Third, moving beyond closed pods. Some people eventually want control over the liquid, the coil or the strength. For them, refillable vape pods are a sensible next step. You fill them yourself from a bottle, which gives you far more choice of flavour and nicotine level, and the cost per millilitre is typically lower than prefilled pods. The trade-off is a little more effort and a little more mess.

It is also worth knowing there are routes away from vaping for people who want them. Nicotine-free e-liquid lets some people keep the habit of vaping while dropping the nicotine. Nicotine pouches and heated tobacco are different products with their own risks and rules, and they are covered elsewhere on the site.

Whatever you decide, keep the same principle in mind: pick what suits your habit and budget, buy from a seller who is straightforward about what they stock, and treat any puff rating as a guide, not a promise.

Delivery, age checks and returns

Because this is a nicotine product, buying it comes with a few extra steps, and it is better to know them before you reach the checkout.

You must be 18 or over to buy. We carry out an age check on nicotine orders, and the steps involved are explained on our age verification page. If the check cannot be completed, the order will not go ahead, so it is worth reading that page before you buy, especially if you are ordering for the first time.

Delivery options, costs and typical times change from time to time, and we would rather you read the current figures than rely on a number printed in an article. The shipping page sets out what is available and what it costs, and your basket shows the final price before you pay. We list stock sourced through UK distributors, so the pod you receive is the same product shown on this page.

On returns, vape products are treated more strictly than most goods. Opened nicotine products cannot normally be resold, so a pod that has been unwrapped or used generally cannot be sent back just because you changed your mind about the flavour. Faulty, damaged or wrongly sent items are a different matter. If anything arrives broken, leaking or not as ordered, tell us straight away and include a clear photo of the pod and the packaging. Our FAQ page covers the current position on returns and refunds in more detail.

A few practical tips. Check that the flavour and strength in your basket match what you intended, because they are separate choices on the page. Make sure someone adult is available to receive the parcel. And order before you run out, since a gap between pods is exactly when people drift back to cigarettes.

That covers the essentials. The most common questions about this pod are answered below.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Zero-mess flavour change — snap in, done
  • Consistent draw from a factory-primed coil
  • Long shelf-life, easy to travel with

Cons

  • Costs more per ml than freestanding e-liquid
  • Pods are proprietary to a specific device

Customer Buying Tips

  • Check device compatibility: a pod must match your exact device family (e.g. "Elfa Pro" pods only fit Elfa Pro devices).
  • Store sealed pods upright, below 30 °C — heat and sunlight drain flavour.
  • Rotate flavours: using the same pod flavour back-to-back dulls your palate within a week.

Frequently asked questions

How many puffs does an Elux Legend 8000 Blue Razz Gummy pod last?

The pod is rated at 8,000 puffs by the manufacturer. That is a testing figure based on short, fairly gentle draws, not a guarantee. In everyday use, plan on getting somewhat less, perhaps 70 per cent or so if you draw hard or vape frequently. A moderate user taking around 150 puffs a day could expect roughly five to eight weeks from one pod, depending on how closely they match the rating. Your own habits matter far more than the number on the box.

What does Blue Razz Gummy taste like?

It is a sweet, candy-style blue raspberry with a chewy gummy-bear character and a faint bubblegum note. Expect a tangy, sherbet-like brightness on the inhale and a soft, sugary finish. The listing does not mention ice or menthol, so it should taste warm rather than cooling. If you prefer something less sweet, the Fresh Mint pod in the same Legend 8000 line sits at the opposite end, while Blueberry Sour Raspberry is the tarter alternative.

Which device does this pod fit?

This pod is made for the Elux Legend 8000 pod system, and you should pair it with that device. Pods are generally matched to the generation of hardware they were designed for, so do not assume a pod from a different Legend size will fit, or that this one will fit another brand. If you are not sure what you own, check the name on your device or contact us with a photo before you order.

Is this a disposable vape?

No. A disposable is a single-use device that you throw away whole. This is a replacement pod that clicks into a reusable device, and only the pod is changed when it runs out. That is the main reason pod systems have become popular since the UK ban on single-use disposable vapes began on 1 June 2025. You still need to recycle each spent pod properly rather than putting it in the household bin.

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg?

It depends on how much you currently smoke or vape. As a rough guide, lighter smokers and people already used to low strengths often start at 10mg, while those who smoke more heavily or find cravings return quickly often need 20mg. Nicotine salt feels smoother than older freebase liquid at the same strength, so do not judge by throat hit alone. If you are unsure, begin with 10mg and go up next time if it does not satisfy you.

Can I refill the pod when it runs out?

No. This is a prefilled, closed pod, and it is designed to be replaced rather than refilled. Opening it or forcing liquid in can damage the coil, cause leaks and spoil the flavour, so we do not recommend trying. If you enjoy filling your own pods and choosing your own liquid, a refillable pod system is the better route, and it usually works out cheaper per millilitre of liquid.

Why does my new pod taste weak or give a dry hit?

A fresh pod needs a minute or two for e-liquid to soak into the wick. If you inhale hard straight away, the coil heats dry cotton, which gives a papery or scorched taste. Leave the pod for a couple of minutes, then take a few short, gentle draws. If the problem continues, check the device battery and that the pod is fully seated. If a brand new pod still tastes burnt, stop using it and contact us.

How should I dispose of used pods?

Do not put them in your household bin. Used pods contain plastic, residual nicotine liquid and a small amount of electronics, so they belong in a vape recycling point. Many vape shops and local household waste recycling centres offer one. Keep any device batteries separate from general waste as well. Store spent pods safely out of reach of children and pets until you can take them for recycling.

Do I need to prove my age, and do you sell the device too?

Yes, you must be 18 or over to buy, and we carry out an age check on nicotine orders. You do not need to buy the device from us in the same order, but the Elux Legend 8000 kit with Blue Razz Gummy is listed separately at £7.49 at the time of writing if you need hardware as well. Check the listing for the current price before you order.
