Elux Legend 8000 Grape Pods at a Glance

Elux Legend 8000 Prefilled Pods Grape are sealed replacement pods for the Elux Legend 8000 system, filled at the factory with a grape-flavoured nicotine salt liquid. Elux rates each pod at 8,000 puffs. The listing is priced at £5.49, and you choose either 10mg or 20mg nicotine strength when you order. That is the whole decision: one pod, one flavour, one strength to pick.

It helps to be clear about what this product is and is not. It is not a disposable vape and it is not a bottle of e-liquid. It is the consumable half of a two-part system. The battery and airflow live in the handset you keep, while the liquid, wick and coil are built into the pod you swap. When a pod runs dry you take it off, click a new one on and carry on. Nothing needs filling, no coil needs fitting and there is no liquid to spill over your fingers. A pod on its own does nothing, so if you do not already own a Legend 8000 handset you will need one as well.

Elux is among the more familiar names in UK vaping, with a long list of pod lines that runs from small starter pods up to the high-capacity ENE Legend range. The Legend 8000 sits in the middle of that spread. The rating is high enough to last a good while, yet not so high that you are committed to one flavour for weeks on end. You can look at the wider Elux range to see how the lines compare, or open the full prefilled vape pods collection if you want to see what other brands offer in the same format.

This guide covers the practical side of owning these pods: how the system works, what the Grape flavour is likely to taste like, how to choose a strength, how to fit and store a pod, what to do when one misbehaves, and what delivery and age checks involve. Where the listing does not publish a detail, such as battery capacity or pod volume, we say so rather than guess. Nicotine is addictive, and these pods are for adults aged 18 or over who already use nicotine products.

How a Closed Pod System Does Its Job

Think of the Legend 8000 as a two-piece system in which each half has a single job. The handset holds the battery and the sensor that decides when to heat the coil. The pod holds the liquid, the wick and the coil, all built into one sealed unit that clips onto the handset. Elux Legend 8000 Prefilled Pods Grape are that second half, the part you replace, which is why the format is called a closed pod system rather than a refillable one.

On kits of this style, drawing on the mouthpiece triggers the sensor, the sensor warms the coil, and the coil turns a little of the liquid into vapour for as long as you keep inhaling. Stop drawing and it switches off. There are no settings to learn and nothing to prime. Because the manufacturer matches the liquid to the coil, the flavour you taste on the first day is the one the maker intended, and you never have to think about coil resistance, wattage or how long to wait for a wick to saturate.

The liquid inside is nicotine salt. That is nicotine combined with an acid so that it feels smoother at higher strengths than the older freebase liquids did. It is the standard choice for small, low-power devices because it delivers a satisfying hit without needing much heat or a lot of vapour. Airflow on this kind of device is fixed, and the natural way to use it is a mouth-to-lung draw: a slow, slightly snug pull held briefly in the mouth before you inhale. It feels much closer to drawing on a cigarette than to the big, open lungfuls associated with larger tanks.

The trade-off for all that simplicity is flexibility. A sealed pod cannot be topped up, and you cannot change the coil or swap in another liquid. When it is spent, it is spent. If you are still deciding whether the format suits you, our closed pod vape kits show the handset side of the story. The practical point for this product is compatibility. Elux makes several pod families, and a pod from one family should not be assumed to fit a handset from another, even when the shapes look similar. These pods are made for the Legend 8000.

What Grape Tastes Like in a Nic Salt Pod

Grape is one of the most requested flavours in vaping, and also one of the most misunderstood. In a pod like this it rarely tastes like a fresh green table grape. The usual interpretation is closer to the sweet, deep purple profile you would recognise from grape soda, grape jelly sweets or a squash made with concentrate: rounded, fruity and a touch syrupy, with very little sharpness.

The listing names the flavour simply as Grape, with no tasting notes beyond that, so we will not pretend to know exactly how Elux has blended it. What we can say is what the name does and does not promise. Elux flags its cooled flavours clearly elsewhere in the range, with names such as Watermelon Ice, Pineapple Ice and Red Apple Ice. Plain Grape does not carry that label, so you should not expect a deliberate menthol-style chill on the exhale. Treat it as a sweet fruit pod rather than a cooling one.

Nicotine salt liquids tend to deliver flavour in a compact, immediate way. On the first few draws you should notice the sweetness at the front and a slightly juicier, more candy-like note as the vapour fades. Stronger nicotine can add some throat bite that sits on top of the flavour, which is one reason the 10mg option is popular with people who enjoy fruit flavours more when they are not fighting a sharp hit.

Like any sweet liquid, grape can start to feel heavy if it is the only thing you vape all day. Some people deal with that by alternating flavours between pods. Others simply keep a mint or menthol pod in the drawer for a change. If you enjoy the profile and ever want something similar in a bottle for a refillable device, there is a wide choice of nicotine salt e-liquids, including Elux-branded grape liquids. Pods and bottles are different products, though, so do not assume the recipes are identical.

Who These Pods Suit and Who Should Pass

Start with the simplest case: you already own an Elux Legend 8000 handset and like the Grape flavour. For you, this pod is a straightforward like-for-like replacement and there is nothing else to think about beyond strength. Order a spare or two so you are not caught short when the current pod begins to fade.

The pod also suits adult smokers or existing vapers who want a low-effort routine. There is no liquid to pour, no coil to prime and no settings to adjust. People who find refillable devices fiddly tend to settle into this format quickly. The 8,000-puff rating makes it a sensible step up for anyone who has been using smaller pods and is tired of changing them every few days.

It is also a good fit if you are partial to sweet fruit flavours and want something you can pocket without thinking about it. A closed pod handset is small, quiet and easy to carry, and a sealed pod is less likely to leak into a bag than a bottle of liquid. Shoppers who like a reliable routine, the same flavour and the same hit every time, are exactly who this format was designed for.

Who should pass? Anyone under 18, full stop. Non-smokers should not start using nicotine products, and these pods contain nicotine, which is addictive. If you want to change the airflow, adjust the power or experiment with different coils, a sealed pod will frustrate you, and a refillable setup would suit better. If you want something you can use once and bin without owning a handset, take a look at our disposable vapes instead. And if you dislike sweet flavours altogether, grape is probably not the place to start, since a mint or menthol pod is likelier to please.

Finally, remember that a pod alone does nothing. If you have no Elux Legend 8000 handset, you will need to buy a pod kit or a compatible device before you can use these. We cover that in the section on pairing and upgrading further down this page.

Specs, Prices and Cost Per Puff

Numbers first, opinions afterwards. These are the facts we can stand behind, taken from the product listing rather than from guesswork.

  • Product: Elux Legend 8000 Prefilled Pods Grape, a sealed prefilled replacement pod.
  • Price: £5.49 for either strength.
  • Rated puffs: 8,000, as stated by the manufacturer.
  • Nicotine strengths: 10mg or 20mg, in nicotine salt form.
  • Flavour: Grape.
  • Format: closed pod, not refillable.

What the listing does not give us is pod volume, battery capacity or charge time. Because we cannot verify a figure, we have left it out; an invented number would only mislead you. Remember too that a puff rating is a manufacturer's estimate from controlled testing, not a promise. How long a pod lasts in your hands depends on how often you draw, how long each draw is, which strength you pick and how the device has been treated.

Even so, the rating is a useful yardstick for comparing value. At £5.49 for 8,000 rated puffs, this pod works out at roughly 0.07p per puff. Legend 1500 prefilled pods are listed at £5.95, which comes to around 0.4p per rated puff, so the 8,000 line is several times cheaper by this measure. As a rough illustration, someone taking 200 puffs a day would be looking at about 40 days from a pod, or around 14p a day. At 500 puffs a day, that shrinks to roughly 16 days and about 34p a day. Heavier users should plan around the lower end of the range.

If you buy the kit rather than the pod, you also get the hardware. The Legend 8000 Grape pod kit is listed at £7.49, only £2 more than the pod alone, and after that every replacement pod is the cheaper purchase. We run multibuy offers on selected prefilled pods from time to time, so it is worth checking the vape deals page before you stock up.

Fitting a Pod and Taking Your First Puffs

Fitting a pod takes about ten seconds, and the only way to get it wrong is to rush. Start by checking that the pod you are holding is the right type for your handset, then peel off any protective film or plugs on the mouthpiece and base. Line the pod up with the handset and press it in until it seats firmly. On most closed pod systems you will feel or hear a small click when it is fully home. If it sits at an angle or wobbles, take it off and try again rather than forcing it.

Before your first draw, give a new pod a few minutes to settle. The wick in a fresh pod needs time to soak up liquid from the reservoir around the coil, and drawing on it immediately is the most common cause of a dry or burnt first puff. Take two or three gentle, short draws first, then move to your normal rhythm.

  • Remove the packaging and any protective seals from the new pod.
  • Press the pod firmly into the handset until it seats.
  • Wait a few minutes for the wick to saturate.
  • Take a couple of gentle draws, then vape as normal.

The pod itself has no battery, so it never needs charging. The handset does, and its battery decides how many pods you can get through between charges. The listing does not publish a battery capacity or a charge time, so check the instructions that came with your handset for the correct cable, port type and charging indicator behaviour. As general good practice, use the supplied cable or a suitable replacement, charge on a hard surface rather than under a pillow, and avoid leaving a device plugged in unattended for long stretches.

If the handset seems to fade before the pod is spent, that points to a battery that needs charging rather than a faulty pod. Topping up when the handset is running low is usually enough to keep it ready for the day. Swapping pods does not reset anything; the handset simply carries on with whichever pod is attached, so you can change flavours as often as you like.

Choosing Between 10mg and 20mg

Nicotine strength is the one real choice on this page, so it deserves a proper look. The pod comes in 10mg and 20mg, both in nicotine salt form. The figure is milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid, and 20mg is the legal ceiling for e-liquids sold in the UK, so you are choosing between a moderate strength and the strongest one available.

The 20mg option suits adults who smoked fairly heavily before switching, or who have found that lower strengths leave them reaching for a cigarette. Salt nicotine at 20mg is smoother than freebase at the same figure, but it is still strong, and a few draws are often enough to satisfy a craving. If you have never used nicotine before, it is far too much, and you should not be starting at all.

The 10mg option is the sensible pick for lighter smokers, for people who vape through the day in small bursts, and for anyone who finds a strong throat hit unpleasant with sweet fruit flavours like Grape. Many people pick 10mg and then discover they take more puffs per day, which is worth bearing in mind if you are counting on the full 8,000. A lower strength can also mean a gentler hit that lets the flavour come through more clearly.

A few practical points. The rating is the same for both strengths on paper, but real-world pod life differs because people draw differently at different strengths. If you are unsure, begin with the lower strength and move up if you find yourself chaining puffs without feeling satisfied. Changing strength later costs nothing more than choosing a different option on your next order.

Some people also use strength as a stepping stone. If your goal is to cut back on nicotine over time, you might step down from 20mg to 10mg, and from there consider lower-strength or nicotine-free e-liquids in a refillable device. This pod does not come in 0mg. If you are finding it hard to cut down, your local stop smoking service can offer free support.

Storing Pods and Keeping Them Fresh

A sealed pod is forgiving, but it is not indestructible, and a little care keeps it tasting the way it should. Keep spare pods in their packaging until you need them. The packaging protects the mouthpiece and the base, and it keeps pocket fluff and dust away from the contacts that connect the pod to the handset.

Temperature is the main thing to manage. Heat thins the liquid and can push it past the wick, so leave spare pods out of hot cars, windowsills and anywhere that gets direct sun. Extreme cold does the opposite, making the liquid sluggish and the first few draws weak and muted. Room temperature, away from radiators, is ideal. If a pod has been somewhere very cold, let it warm up in your hand or a pocket for a few minutes before use.

Store pods upright where you can, or at least lying flat in a drawer rather than squashed under heavy items in a bag. Pressure on the body of a pod can force liquid towards the coil and lead to leaks. When you carry your handset with a pod fitted, a small case or a pocket of its own is better than loose in a bag with keys and coins.

Check any dates on the packaging, and use older stock first. Pods do not go off in a dramatic way, but flavour can flatten over a long stretch, and it is better to rotate your stock than to discover a pod from last year at the bottom of a drawer.

The liquid contains nicotine and can be harmful if swallowed or if it touches skin or eyes, so keep pods, new and used, well away from children and pets. When a pod is finished, do not try to refill it or prise it open. Check your local council's guidance on vape waste, since many recycling points and retailers accept used pods, and wipe the handset contacts with a dry cloth before fitting the next one.

Honest Pros and Cons of This Pod

No product is right for everybody, and this one is no exception. Here is a fair summary of where it earns its place and where it does not.

Where it does well

  • High rated puff count for the price, at around 0.07p per rated puff.
  • Simple, clean format with no filling, priming or coil work.
  • Choice of 10mg or 20mg, so it covers lighter and heavier users.
  • Small replacement part, so a spare or two costs little to keep in a bag.
  • Consistent flavour from first puff to last, thanks to factory-matched liquid and coil.

Where it falls short

  • It only works with a compatible Elux handset, so it is no use on its own.
  • The pod is sealed: no refilling, no changing the liquid, no changing the coil.
  • One flavour per pod, so switching means buying another pod.
  • The puff rating is an estimate, and real-world life will vary.
  • Battery capacity and pod volume are not published on the listing.
  • Sweet grape can feel heavy if it is all you vape through the day.

Weighing these up, the biggest advantage is value per rated puff combined with convenience. The biggest drawback is lock-in. You are tied to the Elux system, and that matters if you like to experiment with flavours and hardware. Compared with a single-use device, a pod system keeps the handset in circulation, so less hardware is thrown away per puff. Sealed pods are still a consumable, though, and they still need responsible disposal.

If the cons outweigh the pros for you, a refillable format is the better route. If the pros win out, you have found a low-maintenance routine that costs little to run, and the only recurring job is remembering to order the next pod before the current one gives up.

Troubleshooting a Pod That Misbehaves

Most pod problems have dull causes, and most are fixable in under a minute. Work through the list below before you assume the pod is faulty.

Burnt or harsh taste. This usually means the wick has run short of liquid, either because the pod is nearly empty or because you drew on it too hard, too fast, too soon. Rest the pod for a few minutes, then take short, gentle draws. If the taste stays burnt, the pod is spent and should be replaced. Do not keep going, because a burnt hit will not improve.

No vapour or a weak hit. Check the handset battery first, then check that the pod is seated fully. Remove it, wipe the contacts with a dry cloth, and press it back in. Cold pods can also feel weak at first, so warm one in your hand for a moment.

Gurgling or leaking. A little condensation near the mouthpiece is normal. A steady leak is not. Wipe the pod and the handset dry, and avoid squeezing the pod. Heat and pressure changes are the usual culprits, particularly if the handset has been left in a hot car or taken on a flight.

Handset does not respond. If you have a fresh pod and a charged battery and nothing happens, try a different pod to work out which part is at fault. A sealed pod is cheap to swap, whereas a handset is the part to investigate.

Flavour seems to fade. Flavour often thins as the pod nears the end, and some people also notice taste fatigue after vaping the same flavour for long periods. Try a different flavour for a day to see whether the pod or your palate is the problem.

If you have tried these steps and a brand-new pod still misbehaves, stop using it and contact us with your order number, a short description and a photo if possible. We would rather sort it out quickly than have you persevere with a faulty product.

Pairing, Upgrading and What to Buy Next

Once the first pod is finished, you have a few directions to go. The simplest is to stay in the Legend 8000 family. If you do not have a handset yet, the Elux Legend 8000 Grape pod kit is listed at £7.49 and includes the device, so you can start with a matched set. It is only a couple of pounds more than the pod on its own, which makes it the sensible way in for newcomers to the system.

Grape also turns up in Elux's ENE Legend 15K line, but that is a different system with a higher rating, and its pods are listed separately. Do not mix the two up. Pods from one family should not be assumed to fit another family's handset, so match the product name on your handset to the name on the listing before you order.

If you want more runtime between pod changes, step up to a bigger rating. Our big puff vape kits cover devices rated well beyond 8,000, and the 15,000 and 30,000 puff ranges on the site are worth browsing if you simply want fewer changes. Bigger ratings are not automatically better value, so compare cost per rated puff the way we did earlier, and think about whether a larger device is practical to carry.

If you want more control, move toward refillable. Refillable vape pods let you pick your own liquid and strength, and they use replaceable coils, so one handset can keep going for much longer. The price is a little more fuss: filling, priming, and learning how a coil behaves over its life.

A practical routine for most people is to keep one spare pod of each flavour they like, buy in line with their own usage, and review after a month. If you are getting through pods faster than the rating suggests, check whether your draws are long and hard before blaming the pod, and try the other strength before changing system altogether.

Delivery, Age Checks and Returns in Brief

Buying nicotine products online comes with a few extra steps that an ordinary checkout does not have, so here is how it works in practice. Everything we sell is strictly for adults aged 18 and over, and we run checks so that orders go to buyers who are old enough. The details of how that works are set out on our age verification page, which is worth reading before you order, particularly if you are buying for the first time.

On delivery, orders over £20 qualify for free UK delivery. Orders placed before 4pm are normally dispatched the same working day, which keeps the wait short for anyone who is down to their last pod. Parcels go out in discreet plain packaging. For the full list of delivery options, costs and estimated times, see our shipping information, which is the authority on timings rather than this summary.

All of our stock is 100% genuine, and that applies to every Elux pod we list. Inspect your parcel when it arrives. The packaging should be intact and the pod sealed, with no sign of leaking or damage. If anything looks wrong when you open the box, do not use it, and tell us straight away.

Returns on consumable, age-restricted products work differently from returns on ordinary goods, so the sensible first step is to check the terms on the shipping page and in our FAQ before you order. If your order is wrong, damaged or incomplete, get in touch promptly with your order number, a description of the problem and a photo where possible. The quicker you tell us, the easier it is to put right.

Finally, keep your parcel out of the reach of children, and make sure someone aged 18 or over is available to accept it if the carrier asks for an age check at the door.

Cons

  • Costs more per ml than freestanding e-liquid

Customer Buying Tips

  • Check device compatibility: a pod must match your exact device family (e.g. "Elfa Pro" pods only fit Elfa Pro devices).
  • Store sealed pods upright, below 30 °C — heat and sunlight drain flavour.

Frequently asked questions

Do Elux Legend 8000 pods fit other Elux devices?

These pods are made for the Elux Legend 8000 system, so that is the handset you should pair them with. Elux produces several pod families, including smaller Legend pods and the higher capacity ENE Legend range, and they should not be assumed to be interchangeable even when they look alike. Before ordering, check the model name on your handset against the name in this listing. If you are unsure, send us the model printed on your device through the contact page and we will confirm whether the pod is the right match.

How many puffs will one pod give me?

Elux rates each pod at up to 8,000 puffs. That figure is a manufacturer estimate based on controlled testing, so treat it as a maximum rather than a guarantee. Your own result depends on how often you vape, how long your draws are and which strength you choose. As a rough guide, 200 puffs a day would last around 40 days on paper, while 500 puffs a day would last around 16. Heavier users should plan around the lower end and keep a spare pod to hand.

Which nicotine strength should I choose, 10mg or 20mg?

Choose 20mg if you smoked fairly heavily or find lower strengths leave you wanting a cigarette. Choose 10mg if you smoke or vape lightly, if you take frequent small puffs, or if you find a strong throat hit unpleasant with sweet fruit flavours. If you are unsure, start at 10mg and move up if it does not satisfy you. 20mg is the highest strength allowed in the UK. Nicotine is addictive, so these pods are only for adults who already use nicotine products.

Is a handset or battery included with these pods?

No. This listing is for the pod only, which holds the liquid, wick and coil but has no battery of its own. You need a compatible Elux Legend 8000 handset to use it. If you do not have one, the Legend 8000 Grape pod kit is listed at £7.49 and includes the device. Once you own a handset, you only need to buy pods from then on, which is the cheaper way to keep going.

What does Grape taste like, and is it iced?

The listing calls it Grape with no extra tasting notes, so we cannot promise an exact recipe. In pods like this, grape is usually a sweet, rounded purple-grape flavour closer to grape soda or jelly sweets than to fresh fruit. Elux labels its cooled flavours with the word Ice, as in Watermelon Ice or Pineapple Ice, and this one does not, so you should not expect a menthol-style chill. If you want a cooling finish, look at the iced flavours in the same range.

Can I refill an Elux Legend 8000 pod when it runs out?

No. These are sealed prefilled pods, built so that the liquid, wick and coil are matched at the factory. Opening one up to refill it is not recommended, because it can damage the pod, cause leaks and spoil the flavour. When a pod is spent, swap it for a new one and dispose of the old one responsibly. If you would rather fill your own, a refillable pod system with replaceable coils is a better fit and gives you control over liquid and strength.

Is this the same as the ENE Legend 15K Grape pod?

No. Both are Elux products and both come in a grape flavour, but they belong to different systems with different puff ratings. The Legend 8000 pod is rated at 8,000 puffs, while the ENE Legend 15K pods are rated at 15,000 and are listed separately. Pods from one family should not be assumed to fit another family's handset. Check the name of your handset, then match it to the product name on the page before you add anything to your basket.

How long will delivery take and is it free?

Orders over £20 qualify for free UK delivery, and orders placed before 4pm are normally dispatched the same working day. Parcels go out in discreet plain packaging. Exact delivery options, prices and estimated arrival times depend on the service you choose at checkout, and they are set out in full on our shipping page, which is the best place to check if you need your pod by a particular date. Someone aged 18 or over should be available to accept the parcel.

Do I have to be 18 to buy this?

Yes. These pods contain nicotine and are strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We carry out age checks on orders, and the process is explained on our age verification page. If we cannot confirm that a buyer is old enough, we will not send the order. Please also keep pods and parcels away from children, and never share nicotine products with anyone under 18. Non-smokers should not start using nicotine products, because nicotine is addictive.

My new pod tastes burnt. What should I do?

First, stop and give the pod a few minutes to rest. A fresh pod needs time for the wick to soak up liquid, and drawing too hard or too soon is the most common cause of a burnt hit. Check that the pod is seated firmly and that the handset battery is charged. Then try a few short, gentle draws. If the taste is still burnt on a brand-new pod, do not persevere. Contact us with your order number and a photo, and we will help.
