Elux Nic Salts 20mg Summer Dream: overview and key specs

Elux Nic Salts 20mg Summer Dream is a 10ml bottle of nicotine salt e-liquid from Elux, a brand most UK vapers know from its disposable devices. This bottle sits on the refillable side of the catalogue. Instead of buying a sealed device that is thrown away after a few days, you pour the liquid into a pod kit or small tank that you already own and keep the hardware for months. With the UK ban on single-use vapes in force since June 2025, refilling is one of the main ways adult vapers can keep using flavours they first met in disposable form.

This guide covers what the bottle contains, what to expect from the flavour and the nicotine delivery, which devices suit it, how to fill it and look after it, how to fix common problems, and how it compares with other 10ml nic salt ranges. It is written for adult smokers and existing vapers. If you do not currently smoke or vape, nicotine products are not for you.

Here are the key specifications at a glance:

  • Bottle size: 10ml, the largest size UK rules allow for nicotine-containing e-liquid.
  • Nicotine strength: 20mg/ml (2%), the UK legal maximum.
  • Nicotine type: nicotine salt, which is smoother at high strength than traditional freebase nicotine.
  • Total nicotine per bottle: 200mg (10ml multiplied by 20mg/ml).
  • Base liquid: a propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine blend. Elux nic salts have generally been sold at a roughly even split, but the label on the bottle in your hand is the final word.
  • Designed for: low-power refillable pod kits and mouth-to-lung (MTL) tanks, typically with coils between about 0.6 and 1.2 ohm.
  • Not designed for: sub-ohm devices running at high wattage.
  • Closure: child-resistant, tamper-evident cap with a narrow nozzle that fits small fill ports.

A little arithmetic puts the bottle in context. A UK-format disposable vape holds 2ml of liquid at up to 20mg/ml, so about 40mg of nicotine in total. A 10ml bottle at the same strength holds 200mg, the equivalent of five of those disposables, before you count the cost of the device itself. That ratio is the main reason refillable nic salts exist as a category and why many ex-disposable users move to them.

Summer Dream flavour profile: what to expect

Summer Dream is built around a light, sweet, summery fruit character rather than a heavy dessert or tobacco profile. Elux does not publish a note-by-note breakdown of its flavourings beyond the labelling that UK rules require, so what follows describes the style of the flavour rather than a certified list of ingredients. If a specific ingredient matters to you, for example because of an allergy, read the bottle label and the product listing before you buy.

Fruit-led nic salts like this one tend to read in three stages on each puff:

  • Inhale: a bright, sweet fruit top note that arrives quickly, helped by the warm, low-power vapour typical of pod kits.
  • Middle: a rounded, juicy body where the sweetness sits. This is the part of the flavour you notice most on a slow, gentle draw.
  • Exhale: a soft, sweet finish that lingers briefly on the tongue without turning sharp or sour.

Nothing in the name points to a menthol or ice finish. Brands in this sector, Elux included, generally put ice or menthol in the name of cooling flavours, so go in expecting vapour at room temperature. If you want a chilled exhale, look at the ice variants in the wider range instead.

Several practical things change how the flavour comes across:

  • Wattage: fruit flavours taste truest at the lower end of your device's range. Turn the power up and the same liquid gets hotter, sweeter and flatter, and the delicate top note is the first thing to disappear.
  • Airflow: a tighter draw concentrates flavour. Opening the airflow dilutes it, which some people prefer for a lighter feel but which can make a fruit blend taste thin.
  • Coil age: sweet liquids leave residue on the coil, so flavour fades gradually over the life of the coil. A sudden drop in flavour is usually a coil issue, not a liquid issue.
  • Priming and steeping: nic salts do not need weeks of steeping, but giving a freshly filled pod five to ten minutes to soak into the wick makes the first few puffs noticeably better.
  • Palate fatigue: if you vape one sweet flavour all day, it can seem to fade. Switching to something different for a day often brings it back.

On sweetness, fruit-led blends like this generally sit towards the sweeter end of the spectrum. That suits plenty of people who want an easy, pleasant flavour, and it is worth knowing before you buy if you prefer dry or tart profiles. Sweet liquids are also kinder to the throat at 20mg because the sweetness softens the sensation, but the trade-off is more coil residue over time, which is covered in the coil section below.

The wider Elux nic salt range and swapping flavours

Summer Dream is one flavour in a broader line of Elux nic salts. If you are choosing between flavours, or planning to rotate, it helps to know how the range is organised. Elux has sold a large number of flavours across its disposable and nic salt lines over the years. Names UK vapers commonly come across include Blue Razz Lemonade, Strawberry Raspberry Cherry, Watermelon Chew, Cherry Cola, Mango Ice, Pink Lemonade, Cream Tobacco and Sour Apple style options. The line-up changes with stock and with the brand's release schedule, so check the live range on our site rather than assuming a specific flavour is available at 20mg.

Broadly, the flavours fall into four groups:

  • Fruit and candy: where Summer Dream sits. Sweet, approachable and the easiest group to switch into from a fruit disposable.
  • Fruit and ice: the same idea with a menthol-style coolant on the exhale, popular in warm weather and with people who find plain sweet liquids cloying.
  • Sours and lemonades: sharper, with a tart edge that cuts through the sweetness and tends to feel livelier on the tongue.
  • Tobacco and creamy: a smaller group for people who miss the taste of tobacco and want a gentler stepping stone away from cigarettes.

If you want to swap between flavours in the same device, a few habits prevent muddled results:

  • Use up or empty the pod first. Adding a new flavour on top of a half-full pod gives a confused taste for a day or two.
  • Rinse the pod under warm water, shake it out and leave it to air-dry fully before refilling. Never refill a damp pod, because water droplets cause spitting and a crackling sound.
  • Watch for ghosting. Old flavour can stay in the wick, especially after sweet or heavily flavoured liquids. If it does not clear after a couple of fills, fit a fresh coil.
  • Keep a spare pod or coil head for flavours you use regularly. Dedicating a pod to one flavour family, such as fruit or tobacco, is the simplest way to avoid cross-flavouring.
  • Match the strength. Within the Elux nic salt line, stay with the same nicotine strength when you swap so your intake does not change without you meaning it to.

Combining two nic salt bottles of the same strength in one pod keeps the strength at 20mg/ml, and some people enjoy blending a fruit flavour with an ice one. The result is unpredictable, though, so make small test mixes in the pod rather than combining whole bottles. If you find a combination you like, note the ratio so you can repeat it.

Performance and puff delivery

Performance with nic salts is a different thing from performance with a large sub-ohm vape. You are not chasing big clouds. You are looking for a smooth, satisfying draw with a nicotine hit that arrives at a level a smoker finds recognisable, from a device that sips power rather than gulping it.

Nicotine salts use an added organic acid, commonly benzoic acid, to lower the pH of the liquid. The result is a vapour that feels noticeably smoother on the throat than freebase nicotine at the same strength. That is why 20mg/ml is practical in a salt but would be unpleasant in a freebase liquid. Some studies also suggest salts can deliver nicotine into the bloodstream faster than freebase at comparable strengths, which is part of why people switching from cigarettes often find them more satisfying. The research is still developing and individual response varies, so treat it as a general tendency rather than a promise.

What you can expect in everyday use:

  • Vapour volume: modest. Pod kits running at 8 to 15 watts produce a small, dense plume rather than a cloud.
  • Throat feel: smooth but present. At 20mg you should feel a clear throat hit that is firmer than a 10mg salt and gentler than a freebase liquid at a similar strength.
  • Draw style: tight mouth-to-lung, drawing into the mouth first and then the lungs, much as you would with a cigarette or a disposable.
  • Satisfaction: most people feel the nicotine within a handful of puffs. Rapid, repeated puffing is the usual cause of feeling light-headed, so pace yourself.
  • Warm-up: pod coils fire within a fraction of a second, so there should be no noticeable delay after pressing the button or drawing.

It is tempting to think about performance in puffs, because that is how disposables are marketed. Using that convention, UK-format disposables hold 2ml and have commonly been rated at around 600 puffs. A 10ml bottle is five times the volume, so on the same maths it corresponds to something in the region of 3,000 puffs. That figure is a marketing yardstick, not a measurement. Real-world puffs are often longer than the test puffs used for those claims, so expect fewer in practice.

A more useful measure is time. Most MTL vapers using a 20mg salt get between three days and just over a week from a 10ml bottle, depending on how often they vape, how long each draw is and how much power the device is set to.

Because the liquid and the hardware are separate, you also control consistency. A disposable fades as the battery drains and the coil ages, and you cannot do anything about it. With a refillable kit, you can swap a coil, recharge fully and top up the pod, which makes the performance far more repeatable from week to week.

Nicotine strength guidance: is 20mg right for you?

Twenty milligrams per millilitre is the highest strength legally sold in the UK, and it is the number most smokers meet first because disposables were all capped at it. Choosing a strength is the most important decision with any nic salt, so it deserves a careful look.

A sensible way to think about it:

  • 20mg/ml suits adults who smoke around ten or more cigarettes a day, who need a cigarette soon after waking, or who are coming straight from a 20mg disposable and want the same level of satisfaction.
  • 10mg/ml may suit lighter smokers, people who have been vaping for a while and want to cut down, or anyone who finds 20mg too harsh. Check whether your chosen flavour is offered at that strength.
  • Lower strengths such as 5mg/ml are more of a step-down choice for people tapering, and usually pair with a slightly more open draw.

Nic salts hit differently from the strength number alone. A 20mg salt in a low-power pod kit feels firm but smooth. The same liquid in a device pushed to high wattage delivers far more vapour per puff and therefore far more nicotine, a combination that is harsh and easy to overdo. If your throat is burning or you feel unwell, the answer is lower power or lower strength, not pushing through.

Signs that you are taking in too much nicotine include dizziness, nausea, headache, a racing heart, sweating and cold hands. If that happens, stop vaping, sit down, drink some water and get some fresh air. If symptoms are severe or do not pass, seek medical advice. Chain vaping on a high-strength salt is the usual cause, and it is especially easy to do with a device that has no puff counter.

If your aim is to stop smoking, speak to an NHS stop smoking service or a pharmacist. They can offer support, behavioural help and, in some areas, starter vape kits through local schemes. If your long-term goal is to reduce nicotine altogether, a common approach is to stay on 20mg until cigarettes are completely out of your routine, then drop to 10mg for several weeks, then to a lower strength, rather than cutting down all at once.

Do not use this bottle to top up other liquids or treat it as a nicotine shot. It is formulated and labelled as a ready-to-vape 20mg liquid, and adding it to other e-liquids changes strengths and PG/VG ratios in ways that are easy to get wrong.

Coil and mesh technology: matching liquid to hardware

An e-liquid is only as good as the coil it passes over. Nic salts are designed for low-power, higher-resistance coils, and matching the two is what makes the difference between a smooth, flavourful vape and a harsh, burnt one.

The coil types you will meet in refillable pod systems are:

  • Standard round-wire cotton coils: a spiral of kanthal or stainless steel wire wrapped around a cotton wick. Resistances of 0.8 to 1.2 ohm are common for MTL pods. They are simple and inexpensive, and they heat up quickly.
  • Mesh coils: a flat sheet of mesh instead of a wire spiral. The larger surface area heats more evenly and often brings out more flavour at the same wattage. Mesh coils in the 0.6 to 1.0 ohm range are popular with pod kit makers. They draw liquid faster, which is why sweet liquids can foul them a little sooner.
  • Ceramic coils: a porous ceramic wick with a heating element. They tolerate low temperatures well and can last longer, though the flavour is sometimes a touch more muted than with cotton or mesh.

For a 20mg nic salt the usual guidance is to stay between roughly 0.6 and 1.2 ohm and between about 8 and 15 watts, always inside the wattage range printed on the coil or in the kit manual. Many pod kits are fixed-power, with a set output that the maker has matched to the coil, which removes the guesswork.

Compatible hardware is wide. Refillable pod systems from makers such as Vaporesso, OXVA, Uwell, Geekvape and Smok all work with nic salts when fitted with a coil that suits low power. Always check the manual of the kit you own rather than assuming, because coil and pod designs are not interchangeable between brands.

Devices to avoid with this bottle are sub-ohm tanks and mods designed for 40 watts and above, with coils under 0.5 ohm. In those, a 20mg salt produces too much nicotine per puff and a harsh throat hit, because the liquid is formulated for gentle heat. If you want big clouds, a lower-strength shortfill designed for sub-ohm use is the right product.

Coil care matters more than most people expect. Fruit and candy flavours leave residue, so plan on changing the coil or pod every one to two weeks for regular use, sooner if the flavour is dull, the vapour tastes burnt, or the pod gurgles. Never fire a dry coil. Make sure the pod is filled and the wick saturated before you press the button, and take shorter, gentler puffs for the first minute after a fill.

Battery, wattage and charging your device

An e-liquid has no battery, but your device does, and the battery behaves differently with nic salts than with a sub-ohm setup. The low power draw is one of the practical advantages of the category.

Typical refillable pod kits contain a built-in battery between roughly 400mAh and 1,000mAh or more. Here is a simple worked example. A 1,000mAh cell at 3.7V holds about 3.7 watt-hours of energy. At 12 watts, that is around 18 minutes of continuous firing, or roughly 370 three-second puffs before the battery is empty. Allow for losses in the circuit and you can expect something like 250 to 300 puffs per charge at that power, which is comfortably a day for a lot of vapers and a good deal longer if you vape lightly. At 8 watts the same battery gives around half as many puffs again. Your own results will vary, but the principle holds: lower power, longer battery life.

Charging advice:

  • Use the cable that came with the device or a decent quality USB cable, and a standard 5V wall adaptor or computer port. Phone chargers are usually fine, but avoid unbranded ones.
  • Do not leave a device charging overnight or unattended. Plug it in while you are in the room and unplug it when the indicator shows it is full.
  • Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface, not on a bed, sofa or pile of papers.
  • Stop using a device that gets hot, swells, smells odd or has a damaged case. Those are signs of a failing lithium-ion cell.
  • Do not vape while charging, unless the manual states that pass-through use is intended. It stresses the battery.
  • Keep the charging port dry and clean. E-liquid residue in the USB-C port is a common reason for slow or intermittent charging. Wipe it out carefully with a dry cotton bud when the device is unplugged and switched off.

Heat is a particular issue in summer. Do not leave a device or your bottle in a parked car, on a sunny windowsill or in direct sun at the beach. High temperatures degrade lithium-ion cells faster and can thin the liquid, which makes leaks more likely.

When the battery finally stops holding charge, recycle the whole device. Lithium-ion batteries must never go in household bins or general recycling, because crushed cells cause fires in refuse lorries and sorting plants. Take the device to a vape recycling drop-off point, a household waste recycling centre with a small electricals bank, or a retailer that takes back waste electricals. Many vape shops operate a take-back bin. Remove the pod first and empty it, then place the empty bottle and pod in the right stream, as described in the UK rules section below.

How to fill, prime and start using it

Filling a pod is simple once you have done it a couple of times. The steps below suit the majority of pod kits, but follow the manual for your specific device if it differs.

  • Step 1: switch the device off. If it has a lock or a five-click off function, use it so it cannot fire while you work.
  • Step 2: remove the pod or open the tank. Most pods pull out or the top lifts off. Look for the rubber bung or sliding cover that protects the fill port.
  • Step 3: check the coil. If the pod is new, make sure you have removed any plastic wrap or protective stopper from the coil and airflow.
  • Step 4: open the fill port and, with the pod upright or tilted, hold the bottle's nozzle gently against the port. Avoid pointing it at the central tube, which is the air path.
  • Step 5: squeeze slowly and stop about 2 to 3mm below the top, or at the fill line. Overfilling is the cause of most leaks and flooded coils.
  • Step 6: close the port, wipe the pod dry, and refit it to the device.
  • Step 7: prime. Leave the pod to sit for five to ten minutes. This lets the liquid soak into the cotton or mesh and prevents a dry or burnt first puff.
  • Step 8: take your first puffs gently. If your device is draw-activated, take a few slow draws. If it is button-activated, use short presses of one to two seconds, three or four times, with pauses between.

A few more habits keep things tidy. Fill over a tissue or sink in case of drips. Wash your hands afterwards, because liquid containing nicotine can be absorbed through skin. Wipe the bottle nozzle before replacing the cap, and tighten the cap fully so the child-resistant mechanism clicks into place.

Many devices have an adjustable airflow ring. For a first fill, start with the airflow about half closed. A tighter draw suits nic salt, and you can open it in small steps if the draw feels restrictive. If your device has adjustable wattage, start at the low end of the coil's range and nudge it up only if the flavour is too faint.

As a rule of thumb, top up when the liquid level drops to about a third of the pod, and never let it run empty. A coil that fires with no liquid in the wick burns within a few puffs, and a burnt coil cannot be rescued. Most 2ml pods take one to two days of normal use per fill, so a 10ml bottle will fill a pod roughly five times, minus the small amount lost to spills and priming.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with refillable nic salts come down to four things: too much liquid, too little liquid, a tired coil or too much power. Work through the list below before assuming the bottle or the device is faulty.

  • Burnt or acrid taste: usually a dry or worn coil. Check the liquid level, let the pod prime for ten minutes, take gentle puffs, and replace the coil if the taste persists. Dropping the power a notch often helps too.
  • Weak or fading flavour: the most common cause with sweet fruit liquids is coil residue. Fit a new coil or pod. Also check that you have not drifted onto a higher wattage, and consider whether you simply have palate fatigue and need a different flavour for a day.
  • Gurgling or spitting: too much liquid in the chamber, water left in the pod after rinsing, or a blocked airflow path. Blow gently through the mouthpiece to clear excess liquid, wipe it dry, and avoid overfilling next time.
  • Leaking from the pod or device: overfilling, a poorly seated pod, a worn seal, or pressure changes after travel or a hot day. Wipe everything dry, check the pod is clicked in properly, and replace it if the seal is damaged. Store the device upright.
  • Device will not fire or flashes a warning light: typical reasons are a flat battery, a dirty contact, a loose pod or a short-circuit protection trigger. Charge it, wipe the pod contacts with a dry cotton bud, refit the pod, and try a different pod to isolate the problem.
  • Harsh throat hit or coughing: the power is too high, the draw is too open or the strength is too much for you. Lower the wattage, tighten the airflow, take shorter puffs, or consider a lower strength.
  • Sticky or gunky pod: sweet liquids leave a sugar-like residue. Rinse the pod between fills and replace it periodically.
  • Bottle cap stuck or crusty nozzle: dried liquid around the thread. Wipe the nozzle and thread with a tissue after each use, and warm the cap in your hands, never in hot water, to loosen it.
  • Feeling unwell after vaping: dizziness, nausea or a pounding heart signal too much nicotine. Stop, sit down and take a break. Next time puff less frequently, or use a lower strength.

If a problem keeps coming back after you have tried a new coil, a clean pod and a lower power setting, the fault probably lies with the device. Contact the device maker or the retailer you bought it from, with your purchase details. If the problem is the bottle itself, for instance a damaged seal or a leaking cap on arrival, send us a photo and your order number so we can look into it.

Who it is for and who should skip it

No product suits everyone. Being clear about who a 20mg nic salt is for, and who should leave it alone, is more useful than a sales pitch.

This bottle is a reasonable fit for:

  • Adult smokers who want to switch to vaping and need a strength that matches a regular smoking habit.
  • Former disposable users who liked the Elux flavours and now want a refillable route.
  • Existing pod-kit vapers who like sweet fruit flavours and mouth-to-lung draws.
  • People who value predictable, low-wattage vaping and a small, discreet device.
  • Anyone who wants to cut running costs compared with buying a new disposable every few days.

You should skip it if:

  • You are under 18. It is illegal to sell nicotine vapes to under-18s in the UK, and it is an offence for an adult to buy them on a young person's behalf.
  • You have never smoked or vaped. Nicotine is addictive, and there is no benefit to starting.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or you have a heart condition, high blood pressure or another medical condition, unless a doctor or pharmacist has advised you. Stop-smoking services can help with licensed nicotine products.
  • You want large clouds from a high-power sub-ohm device. A low-strength shortfill is the correct product for that style.
  • You find 20mg too strong. Look for a lower strength or use a lower-power device.
  • You dislike sweet flavours. Choose a tobacco or a sour profile from the range instead.
  • You only want a throw-away device with no refilling or coil changes. That kind of product can no longer be sold in the UK.

It is also worth being honest about the learning curve. A refillable kit asks for a little more from you than a disposable did: you have to fill the pod, watch the level, change coils and keep the device charged. Most people get the hang of it within a couple of days. If you do not want to do any of that, a prefilled pod system, where you swap sealed pods, is an in-between option, although those pods come filled with their own liquid and do not use this bottle.

Vaping is not risk-free. UK health bodies describe it as far less harmful than smoking for adult smokers who switch completely, but it still delivers nicotine, an addictive substance, and its long-term effects are not fully known. The aim for a smoker is to leave cigarettes behind. If you can stop using nicotine altogether, that is better still.

Value for money and how it compares with other nic salts

Value is worth separating into two questions: what does the bottle cost per day, and what does the whole setup cost over a few months compared with the alternatives?

Prices change, so treat the following as an illustrative example and check the live price on the product page. Suppose a 10ml bottle costs around £3 and lasts you five days. That is about 60p a day in liquid. Add a coil or pod that you change every ten days, at roughly £2 to £4 each depending on the kit, and the daily running cost rises to somewhere around 80p to £1. A UK-format 600-puff disposable at a typical shop price of £5 to £6, lasting two to four days for most users, costs roughly £1.25 to £3 a day. Even with an upfront pod kit at £15 to £30, the refillable route usually pays for itself within a few weeks, and a typical smoker's daily cigarette spend is many times higher than any of these figures.

Things that make a refillable setup better or worse value:

  • Multi-buy offers. Retailers often sell several 10ml salts at a reduced bundle price. If you know you like the flavour, buying a few at once lowers the per-bottle cost.
  • Coil cost. Cheap, widely available coils make a kit economical. A kit with proprietary pods that cost more than the liquid does not.
  • Waste. Overfilling, leaks and burnt coils all waste money. Getting the filling routine right is worth a few pounds a month.
  • Strength. A lower strength does not necessarily cost less. If you find yourself vaping far more to satisfy cravings at 10mg, 20mg may be more economical for you.

How does Summer Dream compare with other 10ml nic salt ranges? A fair comparison focuses on taste and price rather than superlatives, because most major brands deliver broadly similar performance in the same kind of device:

  • IVG Salts and Nasty Salt: both widely stocked, with large flavour catalogues and plenty of fruit-and-ice options. Choose them if you want more variety or already know their flavours. Elux's advantage is familiarity for people coming from its disposables.
  • Hayati Pro Max Salts: tends to emphasise bold, layered flavours and desserts. If Summer Dream seems light to you, this style may be worth a look.
  • Dinner Lady Salts: well known for dessert and lemon-tart-style recipes, generally at a higher price point.
  • Pod Salt: a long-established nic salt brand that is often priced a little above entry-level ranges, with a strong following among pod-kit users.

None of these is automatically better or worse than the others. Flavour is subjective, and trying a single bottle is the only reliable way to judge. If you are loyal to the way an Elux flavour tasted in disposable form, buying the same brand in a bottle is the logical first test. If you find the taste differs slightly from the disposable you remember, that is normal: a different coil, airflow and wattage will always change how the same liquid tastes.

UK rules, safe storage and recycling

Selling and using nicotine e-liquid in the UK is governed by the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016, along with later rules on disposables. Knowing the framework explains why this bottle looks the way it does.

  • Nicotine cap: e-liquid may contain no more than 20mg/ml of nicotine, which is why 20mg is the top strength on sale. The same cap applied to disposable vapes.
  • Bottle size: nicotine e-liquid is limited to 10ml per bottle, which is why you will not find 20mg salts in larger sizes.
  • Tank size: refillable tanks and pods are limited to 2ml, which is why pods are small and refills are frequent.
  • Packaging: bottles must be child-resistant and tamper-evident, carry health warnings and list the ingredients.
  • Age: you must be 18 or over to be sold nicotine vaping products, and we may ask for proof of age at checkout or delivery.
  • Single-use ban: since 1 June 2025, selling single-use disposable vapes has been banned across the UK. Refillable and rechargeable products, and the e-liquids that go in them, remain on sale.

Rules evolve, so check gov.uk for the latest guidance rather than relying on any one product page, including this one.

Storage matters for both safety and flavour:

  • Keep the bottle upright, cap tightened, in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. A drawer or cupboard is ideal.
  • Store it out of reach of children and pets. Concentrated nicotine liquid is hazardous if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. In an emergency, contact NHS 111, or call 999 if someone is seriously unwell.
  • If liquid gets on your skin, wash it off with soap and water. If it gets in your eyes, rinse with water and seek advice.
  • Unopened bottles typically keep for a year or more, though flavour can fade and the liquid can darken over time. Once opened, aim to use the bottle within a few months.
  • Avoid leaving it in a hot car. Heat and light degrade the nicotine and flavourings.

When you finish the bottle, let the last drops drain into your pod, then dispose of the empty bottle. The plastic bottles are small, and councils differ in what they accept: some take them in household plastic recycling after a quick rinse, while others ask for them in general waste because items this small can slip through sorting machinery. Check your local council guidance. Used pods and coils go with your electricals and vape recycling, not with the plastic. The device itself and its lithium-ion battery should be taken to a vape or battery drop-off point, a household waste recycling centre or a retailer that offers take-back. Never put a vape or battery in a household bin or kerbside recycling.

  • Best value per ml in the category
  • Choose your own device and coil
  • Available in a wide strength ladder

Cons

  • Refilling can leak if you overfill
  • Coil priming has a small learning curve
  • You handle the bottle — less discreet than pods

Customer Buying Tips

  • Match the strength to how much you smoked: 20+/day → 10-20 mg nic salt; 10/day → 10 mg; under 5/day → 3-6 mg freebase.
  • Match the ratio to your device: pod kits take 50/50, sub-ohm tanks take 70/30 shortfill.
  • Don't overfill: leaving the airhole clear prevents gurgling and leaking.
  • Shake before use so the nicotine and flavour integrate evenly.

Frequently asked questions

Is 20mg too strong for me?

Twenty milligrams per millilitre is the UK maximum and suits adults who smoke around ten or more cigarettes a day or who are moving from a 20mg disposable. If you smoke less, or you find the throat hit harsh, a lower strength is a better starting point where the flavour is offered at one. Use a low-power MTL device, take slow puffs and stop if you feel dizzy or nauseous.

Do I need to charge this e-liquid?

No. Elux Nic Salts Summer Dream is a bottle of liquid, so there is nothing to charge or activate. Charging applies to your refillable pod kit, ideally with the cable supplied with it, on a hard surface, and never unattended or overnight.

Can I swap to another flavour, and what else is in the range?

Yes. Finish or empty the pod, rinse it with warm water, let it dry fully and refill with the new flavour, changing the coil if the old taste lingers. The Elux nic salt line includes other fruit, ice, sour and tobacco-style flavours, and the live list on our site shows what is currently in stock at 20mg.

How long will a 10ml bottle last?

Most mouth-to-lung vapers get between three days and just over a week from a 10ml bottle of nic salt, depending on how often they vape and how much power the device uses. On the disposable puff-count convention, 10ml is roughly equal to five 2ml disposables. Heavier use at higher wattage drains it more quickly.

Is it good value compared with a disposable?

Per millilitre, a 10ml refillable bottle usually works out noticeably cheaper than buying disposables, and single-use vapes can no longer be sold in the UK in any case. You do need to buy a refillable kit and replacement coils, so the saving shows up after the first bottle or two. See the value section above for a worked example.

Who should buy it and who shouldn't?

It is aimed at adult smokers and existing vapers who use a low-power refillable pod kit. It is not for under-18s, non-smokers, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone with a heart condition or other health concern who has not taken medical advice. It is also the wrong choice for high-wattage sub-ohm devices.

Will it work in my vape kit?

It works in refillable pod kits and MTL tanks designed for nic salts, generally with 0.6 to 1.2 ohm coils at roughly 8 to 15 watts. Check your manual for the coil resistance and wattage range. It is not suitable for sub-ohm tanks run at high power, and it cannot be used in sealed disposables.

Do you deliver across the UK?

Yes, we deliver to UK addresses, and delivery options and costs are shown at checkout. Because this is a nicotine product you must be 18 or over, and the courier may ask for proof of age on delivery. Check the delivery information on our site for current dispatch times and any delivery offers.

What is your returns and warranty policy?

E-liquid is a consumable, so there is no hardware warranty on the liquid itself. If your bottle arrives damaged, leaking or not what you ordered, contact us with your order number and a photo and we will review it in line with your consumer rights. For health and hygiene reasons, opened e-liquid bottles can't usually be returned for a change of mind, and any device you buy separately carries the manufacturer's own warranty.

Can I mix it with other e-liquids or use it as a nicotine shot?

No, it is sold as a ready-to-vape 20mg liquid, not as a shot. Adding it to other liquids changes the strength and the PG/VG balance in ways that are easy to miscalculate. If you want to blend flavours, make small test mixes of two nic salts at the same strength inside the pod.
