Elux Nic Salts 20mg Triple Mango: what you are buying

Elux Nic Salts 20mg Triple Mango is a 10ml bottle of nicotine salt e-liquid in a layered mango flavour, made for people who refill their own pod kit or pod-style device rather than buying a sealed disposable. The nicotine strength is 20mg/ml, which is the highest strength that UK rules allow for e-liquids sold to adults, and the 10ml bottle size is the largest permitted for nicotine-containing e-liquid. In other words, this is a full-strength, full-size bottle, and it is aimed at vapers who already know they want that strength.

The Elux name became familiar in the UK through its single-use range, but the nic salt bottles apply the same flavour thinking to a refillable format. That matters for a practical reason. Single-use vapes can no longer be sold in the UK since the ban that came into force in June 2025, so if you enjoyed a mango disposable in the past and want to keep a similar taste, a bottle like this lets you pour it into a rechargeable device you already own, without throwing away a battery every few days.

Here is the quick summary of what the listing covers:

  • Product type: nicotine salt e-liquid, 10ml bottle
  • Nicotine strength: 20mg/ml (2%), the UK maximum
  • Flavour: Triple Mango, a fruit-forward, sweet mango profile
  • Best used in: low-power pod kits and refillable pod systems with a coil resistance of roughly 0.6 to 1.2 ohm
  • Not suitable for: sub-ohm tanks running at high wattage, where a nic salt at this strength becomes harsh and uses up quickly

Because this is an e-liquid and not a device, there is no battery, charging port or coil inside the bottle. Later sections explain what to look for in the device you pair it with, because the device has a bigger influence on how the liquid tastes and feels than most people expect. We have also tried to be straightforward about who this suits and who would be better off with a lower strength or a different format entirely.

As with every nicotine product, it is intended for adults who already use nicotine, such as smokers who want an alternative. If you do not currently smoke or vape, this is not a product to start on. Nicotine is addictive, and a 20mg salt is a strong dose for someone with no tolerance.

Triple Mango flavour profile

The name tells you the intention: mango, built in layers. Elux does not publish a note-by-note breakdown of what the three mango layers are, so anything we say about them is a description of how the flavour tends to read when vaped, not a recipe. Your own palate may pick out a slightly different balance.

In practice, a flavour like this usually has three parts that you notice in sequence:

  • The opening: a sweet, ripe mango note that arrives on the inhale. It is rounded and juicy rather than sharp, closer to a ripe fruit than to a boiled sweet.
  • The middle: a fuller, slightly syrupy mango body. This is where the flavour sits for most of the draw, and it is the part people are usually thinking of when they describe a mango e-liquid as rich.
  • The finish: a lighter, faintly tangy or green mango edge on the exhale. This keeps the sweetness from becoming heavy and gives the flavour some lift.

There is no menthol or cooling agent in the name, so you should not expect an icy hit. This is a warm, sweet fruit profile. If you prefer a cooler mango, the ice variants that many brands make will suit you better, and it is worth checking the Elux nic salt range on this site for other fruit options in the same strength.

A few honest notes on flavour:

  • Mango is a sweet, dense flavour, so it can feel heavy if you vape it continuously for an hour. Most people find it comfortable in short, regular sessions.
  • Sweet profiles leave residue on coils more quickly than mint or tobacco profiles do. Expect to change your coil or pod a little sooner than you would with a lighter flavour.
  • The flavour reads more clearly at lower power. At higher wattage the sweetness tends to turn toasty and the fruit character flattens.

If you like tropical mango flavours in general, such as mango with passionfruit, mango with peach, or a plain mango with no additions, this sits in the plain-and-rich end of that family rather than the blended-fruit end. It is a mango flavour for people who want mango to be the main event.

Performance and vapour delivery

Because Elux Triple Mango is a liquid and not a sealed device, its performance depends on three things: the nicotine form, the device and the way you vape. Here is how those play out.

Capacity and how long a bottle lasts. In the UK, pods and tanks sold with vaping devices are capped at 2ml, and the old single-use vapes held the same amount. A 10ml bottle therefore holds the equivalent of five full 2ml pods. A 2ml charge was typically rated at around 600 puffs, so by the same yardstick a 10ml bottle could be thought of as roughly 3,000 puffs. That is a rough comparison rather than a promise, because actual puff counts depend on how long and how hard each puff is, how much power your device uses, and how often you take a draw. Light, short puffs on a low-power pod kit can stretch a bottle for several weeks. Long, frequent puffs can use it in a week or so.

Nicotine delivery. Nic salts are designed to deliver nicotine quickly and smoothly. At 20mg/ml the hit is noticeable but not as scratchy as the same nicotine level in a traditional freebase e-liquid would be. For a smoker switching over, that smoother delivery is usually the main attraction. It is also why you should respect the strength: it is easy to take more nicotine than you intended because the vapour does not irritate your throat as much.

Throat hit. Expect a moderate throat hit, a bit stronger than a 10mg salt and gentler than a 20mg freebase. The sweet mango flavour softens the sensation further.

Vapour production. Nic salts are normally used with restricted-airflow, low-wattage devices, and those devices make modest clouds. If you are used to big, sub-ohm vapour, you will find this a different experience. That is by design. The target is satisfying nicotine and flavour, not volume.

Performance tips that make a real difference:

  • Use a device in the 8 to 15 watt range, or let an auto-draw pod kit manage power for you.
  • Take slow, steady draws of two to three seconds rather than short sharp ones.
  • Pause between puffs to let the coil wick refill. Chain vaping dries the coil and tastes burnt.
  • Keep the airflow on the tighter side. A restricted mouth-to-lung draw suits nic salts and brings out the mango flavour.

If these habits suit you, you should get a smooth, consistent experience from the first millilitre to the last.

Nic salt formulation and choosing your strength

Nicotine salts are made by combining nicotine with an acid, which produces a form of nicotine that is absorbed more quickly and feels less harsh in the throat than the freebase nicotine used in older e-liquids. That is the reason nic salts became the standard for pod devices and low-power kits. They allow a higher nicotine level to be used without the harshness that freebase would cause at the same strength.

The VG and PG ratio of a bottle affects how it behaves in your device. Nic salt liquids are generally balanced so that they wick well in small coils. The exact ratio is printed on the bottle label or listed in the product details, and you should check it against your device's recommendations if you are using a pod that is picky about thin or thick liquids.

Is 20mg right for you? The following is general guidance and not medical advice.

  • Smoking around 10 or more cigarettes a day: 20mg is a common starting point because it is closest to the nicotine intake that heavier smokers are used to. Switching to a lower strength straight away can lead to cravings and a return to cigarettes.
  • Smoking fewer than 10 a day, or social smokers: 20mg may be too strong. Many people in this group are happier at 10mg or lower. If you find yourself feeling dizzy, nauseous or lightheaded, that is a sign the strength is too high for you.
  • Already vaping at a lower strength: do not jump up to 20mg without a reason. Moving to a stronger salt can be a shock to the system.
  • Non-smokers: not suitable. Do not use nicotine products if you do not already use nicotine.

A useful rule: use the lowest strength that stops you wanting a cigarette. That might be 20mg today and 10mg in a few months as your habits change. If you decide you want to step down, you can look at the lower-strength nic salts on this site, and you should check whether a lower strength of this exact flavour exists before assuming it does, as flavour and strength availability can vary.

Remember that a 20mg salt used in a larger-capacity, higher-power device will deliver much more nicotine per puff than the same liquid in a small pod kit. If you move to a more powerful device, drop the strength.

Who Elux Triple Mango suits, and who should skip it

A product is only good if it matches what you need, so here is a plain description of who gets the most from this bottle and who would be better served elsewhere.

It is likely to suit you if:

  • You are an adult smoker switching to vaping and want a strong, smooth nicotine hit in a sweet fruit flavour.
  • You already use a refillable pod kit and want a mango option that is not an ice or a mixed-fruit blend.
  • You are moving from single-use vapes or prefilled pods to a refillable setup to cut waste and cost, and you want a flavour in the same family you already like.
  • You prefer a mouth-to-lung style with restricted airflow, a modest cloud and a nicotine-led experience.
  • You like sweet, dessert-style or tropical flavours and do not mind a slightly richer taste.

You should probably skip it if:

  • You do not currently smoke or vape. Nicotine is addictive and this is a high-strength product.
  • You are sensitive to nicotine, or you have only ever used low-strength vapes. A 10mg or lower product is a safer starting point.
  • You use a sub-ohm tank or a high-wattage mod. This liquid is not designed for that kind of device, and you will find it harsh and wasteful.
  • You do not like sweet flavours. Mango is a rich, sugary fruit and this flavour makes no attempt to dry it out.
  • You want a cooling hit. Look for an ice or menthol variant instead.
  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a heart condition. Speak to a healthcare professional before using any nicotine product.

It is also worth being clear that a refillable bottle asks more of you than a disposable does. You need to own a compatible device, learn to fill it without spilling, and keep spare coils or pods on hand. If you want something you can open and use without any setup, a prefilled pod kit will suit you better. If you are comfortable with a bit of routine, the bottle gives you more control and generally a lower running cost.

Compatible devices, coils and mesh technology

Elux Triple Mango is a nic salt, so it belongs in a device built for nic salts. Here is how to match it up.

Device types that work well:

  • Refillable pod kits: small, pen-style or box-style devices with a coil built into a pod or cartridge. These are the natural home for a 10ml nic salt bottle.
  • Pod systems with replaceable coil heads: you swap the coil head when it wears out while keeping the pod body. These are common and economical.
  • Small, low-power mouth-to-lung tanks: if the tank is designed for resistances of around 0.8 to 1.2 ohm and low wattage.

Coil resistance. Look for a coil in the range of roughly 0.6 to 1.2 ohm. Higher resistance coils (1.0 ohm and above) are gentler on the liquid and last longer. Lower resistance coils (0.6 to 0.8 ohm) produce more vapour and more flavour but use the liquid faster and deliver more nicotine per puff. With a 20mg salt, a coil in the middle of that range is usually a sensible choice.

Mesh coils versus regular wire coils. A mesh coil is a flat, perforated sheet of resistance material that contacts a larger area of cotton than a round wire does. In practice that gives you a more even heat, quicker ramp-up and a fuller flavour from sweet liquids like mango. The trade-off is that mesh coils can use liquid faster and can wear sooner if you vape them hard. Regular round-wire coils tend to give a slightly cooler vapour and last well at low power. Neither is inherently better, and your preference will probably come down to flavour intensity versus economy.

Cotton and wicking. Nic salts are usually thin enough to wick easily, but a brand-new coil still needs priming. If you skip this step you risk a dry hit, which burns the cotton and ruins that coil. See the section on using and filling for how to prime properly.

Pod capacity. UK rules cap pods and tanks at 2ml, so a 10ml bottle will refill a typical pod around five times. Do not overfill beyond the max line, because that is the most common cause of leaking.

If you are unsure whether your device is suitable, check the manufacturer's guidance on e-liquid type and wattage. Most pod kits that accept nic salts state it clearly.

Battery and charging: the device side of the setup

The bottle itself has no battery, but the battery in your device determines how well the liquid performs, so it is worth covering here. A weak or poorly charged battery produces thin vapour and a muted flavour, and a damaged battery is a safety hazard.

Typical battery sizes. Most refillable pod kits use an internal battery of around 400mAh to 1,000mAh. A smaller battery in a slim device is fine for a light user but may need charging daily. A battery around 800mAh to 1,000mAh will usually last a full day for a moderate vaper using a 20mg salt, because the lower power draw of a nic salt device is easier on the battery than a high-wattage setup.

Charging habits that protect the battery:

  • Use the cable that came with the device, or a good-quality USB-C or micro-USB cable if it uses that connection.
  • Charge from a standard phone-style wall adapter or a computer USB port. Avoid cheap, unbranded fast chargers.
  • Do not leave the device charging overnight on a soft surface such as a bed or sofa.
  • Unplug when the indicator light shows it is full.
  • Do not vape while the device is plugged in unless the manufacturer says it is designed for pass-through use.

Signs of a battery problem. Stop using the device and do not charge it if you notice swelling, an unusual smell, excessive heat, or damage to the casing. Take the device to a suitable recycling point instead of putting it in a bin.

Recycling in the UK. Vape devices and their batteries are classed as waste electrical equipment and must not go in household bins. UK retailers that sell vaping products are required to take back used vapes, and many supermarkets and local authority household waste recycling centres also have drop-off points for small electrical items. Empty e-liquid bottles can usually go into your plastic recycling once they are fully empty and the cap is removed, although you should check your local council's rules. Never put a charged battery in with general recycling, because it is a fire risk in collection vehicles.

Looking after the battery means your device keeps delivering consistent power, and that keeps the flavour of the liquid consistent too.

Bottle design, packaging and build quality

Because the product is a liquid, build quality here means the bottle, the cap and the packaging, and each of these has a real effect on your experience.

The bottle. Nic salt liquids come in a 10ml plastic bottle with a narrow, slim nozzle. That nozzle is the feature you will notice most, because it lets you fill small pod ports without spilling. Squeezing the bottle gently gives a controlled flow. A bottle with a thick or wide spout would be harder to use with the small fill holes found on many pod devices, so this is a practical piece of design rather than a cosmetic one.

The cap. UK rules require a child-resistant cap and a tamper-evident seal on nicotine e-liquid bottles. In practice, you push down and twist to open it, and there is a ring that breaks on first use. This is a safety feature and it is worth being aware of if you have children or pets in the house. Keep the bottle out of reach, and never decant liquid into an unlabelled container.

The label. The label should show the flavour name, the nicotine strength, the volume, the ingredients, a batch or lot number, and the health warning. The nicotine strength is the first thing to check every time you pick up a bottle, particularly if you keep several at different strengths. If a label looks damaged, smudged or missing information, do not use the bottle.

What to check when your order arrives:

  • The tamper-evident ring is intact.
  • The bottle is full and has not leaked inside its packaging.
  • The label reads 20mg/ml and Triple Mango.
  • The batch number is visible.

If any of those are wrong, contact us before opening it. We would rather replace a faulty bottle than have you deal with a spill or a wrong strength.

On build quality overall, the bottle is a functional, disposable container and is not meant to be a design object. What matters is that it seals properly, pours cleanly and is clearly labelled, and those are the points we would judge it on. It is also worth keeping the box until you have used the liquid, since the batch information is useful if you ever need to report a problem.

How to fill, prime and use your device

If you are new to refillable devices, the process is simple once you have done it a couple of times. These steps apply to most pod kits, but always follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific device.

  • Step 1, check the label. Confirm that the bottle says Triple Mango and 20mg/ml. Make sure your hands and the device are dry.
  • Step 2, switch off and open up. If your device has a button, make sure it is not going to fire while you handle it. Remove the pod or open the tank, and open the fill port, which is usually a silicone bung or a sliding cover.
  • Step 3, open the bottle. Push the cap down and twist it off. Tilt the bottle and the pod at a slight angle, rest the nozzle against the fill port, and squeeze gently.
  • Step 4, fill to the line. Stop at the maximum line or just below it. Avoid pouring into the central air tube, because liquid there will flood the coil and leak out of the mouthpiece.
  • Step 5, close and wipe. Seal the fill port firmly, and wipe away any spilled liquid from the pod and the electrical contacts.
  • Step 6, let a new coil rest. Wait five to ten minutes after the first fill so the cotton can soak up liquid evenly. This priming step is the single most effective way to avoid a burnt first hit.
  • Step 7, take gentle first puffs. Take two or three short puffs without inhaling to your lungs, then start vaping normally.

Activating the device. Most pod kits are draw-activated, meaning they fire when you inhale and you do not have to press anything. Others have a button you hold while you inhale. If yours has a button, do not hold it for more than a few seconds at a time, because most devices cut out after about ten seconds to protect the coil.

Technique. Mouth-to-lung is the intended style. Draw slowly into your mouth for two to three seconds, pause briefly, then inhale into your lungs. With a 20mg nic salt, start with a few puffs and wait a minute or two before taking more, because the nicotine reaches you faster than many people expect. Keep the device upright when you are not using it, and avoid carrying it in a warm pocket for long periods, because heat thins the liquid and encourages leaks.

Refill when the pod is about a third full rather than waiting until it is empty. Vaping a pod dry is the quickest way to ruin a coil.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with refillable devices come from a short list of causes. Here is how to recognise and fix the most common ones when using Elux Triple Mango.

  • Burnt or acrid taste: this is a dry hit. It usually means the coil was not primed, you took puffs too close together, or the coil is at the end of its life. Stop vaping on that coil, because a burnt coil does not recover. Fit a fresh coil or pod, prime it properly and space out your puffs.
  • Flavour seems weaker than before: sweet liquids like mango leave residue on a coil, so flavour fades faster than it would with a lighter profile. Changing the coil usually restores it. If a new coil still tastes muted, you may have a case of flavour fatigue from vaping one flavour constantly. Switching to a different flavour for a day or two, and drinking water, often helps.
  • Leaking from the mouthpiece or base: the common causes are overfilling, liquid in the air channel, a loose pod, or a change in air pressure such as on a flight. Fill only to the line, make sure the pod is seated firmly, store the device upright and wipe off any liquid before use.
  • Gurgling or spitting: this is condensation or too much liquid around the coil. Switch the device off, remove the pod and blow gently through the mouthpiece to clear the airway. If it keeps happening, the coil is probably flooded or worn.
  • No vapour: check the battery is charged, the pod is clicked in properly, the contacts are clean and dry, and there is liquid left. A flashing light usually indicates a low battery or a short circuit, and your manual will explain the pattern.
  • Dizziness, nausea or a racing heart: this is a sign of too much nicotine. Stop, sit down, drink some water and give yourself time to recover. Consider a lower strength or a lower-power device.
  • Sticky, dark residue on the coil or pod: a sign that the coil has reached the end of its life. Replace it.

A well-looked-after coil will usually last from one to two weeks of regular use with a sweet flavour, though this varies with how much you vape and how hard. Keep a spare coil or pod in your bag so a worn one never leaves you reaching for a cigarette.

If you open a new bottle and the liquid looks, smells or tastes wrong, stop using it. Keep the bottle and the box, note the batch number from the label, and get in touch with us so we can look into it.

Value for money and how it compares

Value in vaping comes down to cost per millilitre, how long a coil lasts, and how much you waste. Here is an honest look at how a 20mg Triple Mango bottle stacks up.

Against single-use style products. Single-use vapes are now banned in the UK, but many people still compare against the prefilled pods and closed-pod kits that replaced them. Those typically hold 2ml per pod. Doing the maths on price per millilitre usually favours a 10ml bottle, because you pay for liquid and not for a prefilled plastic pod. The trade-off is that you need a device and a stock of coils, so the first purchase costs more.

Working out your own cost. Divide the price of the bottle by 10 to get the cost per millilitre. Then think about how many millilitres you use in a week. A moderate user on a small pod kit might use 2ml to 4ml in a week, which means a bottle lasts between two and a half and five weeks. A heavy user will get through it faster. Add the cost of coils, which are the main running expense after the liquid.

Against other nic salt brands. Established UK brands such as IVG, Hayati and Dinner Lady all sell fruit-flavoured nic salts in 10ml bottles, generally in 10mg and 20mg strengths. Taste is personal, and we would not claim that one brand tastes better than another. What we can say is that:

  • Elux Triple Mango is a straightforward mango flavour rather than a blend, which is a plus if you want plain mango and a minus if you want variety.
  • Price differences between mainstream brands are often small, so the flavour you will actually enjoy matters more than saving a few pence.
  • Brands that offer a wide range of strengths give you more room to step down gradually. Check the range on this site to see which strengths are available for the flavour you want.

Against shortfills. Shortfill bottles are cheaper per millilitre but are made for sub-ohm tanks at 0mg, with nicotine added separately. They are not a substitute for a 20mg salt in a pod kit. If you use a pod device, nic salts are the right type of liquid.

Overall, the value case rests on three things. You get 10ml at the maximum UK strength, you can refill a device you already own, and you cut down on waste. If you prefer a no-fuss device that you do not need to refill, a prefilled pod will cost more per millilitre but save you time.

Storage, safety, UK rules and ordering

Nicotine is a hazardous substance in concentrated form, so how you store and handle this bottle matters.

Storage.

  • Keep the bottle upright, with the cap fully closed, in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Keep it out of reach of children and pets at all times. Nicotine liquid is toxic if swallowed, and flavours like mango can be attractive to children.
  • Do not transfer the liquid into unlabelled containers.
  • E-liquid can darken over time with exposure to light and air. A slight colour change is normal, but if the liquid smells or tastes off, do not use it.

If there is an accident. If liquid gets on your skin, wash it off straight away with plenty of water. If it gets in your eyes, rinse them with water for several minutes. If anyone swallows it, or you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately by calling 111 or, in an emergency, 999.

UK rules in brief. Under UK regulations, e-liquids containing nicotine are limited to 20mg/ml, bottles are limited to 10ml, and pods and tanks are limited to 2ml. Bottles must have a child-resistant cap, a tamper-evident seal and a health warning, and products must be notified to the MHRA before they are sold. It is illegal to sell nicotine vaping products to anyone under 18, and it is illegal for an adult to buy them on behalf of someone under 18. The rules on single-use vapes changed in June 2025, which is why refillable and rechargeable devices are the route for most vapers now.

Ordering from this site. You will be asked to confirm that you are 18 or over when you order, and we may carry out further age checks where required. Your order will be sent in plain, discreet packaging to a UK address. Delivery options, costs and timings are shown at checkout and on our delivery information page, so check those for the latest details. If you plan to travel with the bottle, carry it in a sealed bag, as air pressure changes can push liquid out of the nozzle.

Disposal. Do not pour unused liquid down the sink. Take it to your local household waste recycling centre. Empty bottles can usually go in plastic recycling once they are fully empty, while old devices and batteries belong in electrical recycling drop-off points.

Frequently asked questions

Is 20mg too strong for me?

20mg/ml is the highest strength allowed in the UK and is typically suited to people who smoke around ten or more cigarettes a day. If you smoke less, or you have only used low-strength vapes, a 10mg or lower strength is usually more comfortable. If you feel dizzy or nauseous, the strength or your device power is too high.

Can I use this liquid in a sub-ohm tank?

It is not recommended. Nic salts are designed for low-power devices with coil resistance of roughly 0.6 to 1.2 ohm, and a 20mg salt in a high-wattage sub-ohm setup is harsh and delivers far more nicotine than intended. Use it in a pod kit or a low-power mouth-to-lung tank instead.

Does this product have a battery, and how do I charge it?

No. This is a 10ml e-liquid bottle, so the battery is in whichever device you fill. Charge that device with the cable supplied, from a standard wall adapter or computer USB port, and unplug it once it is full.

How long will a 10ml bottle last?

It depends on your device and habits, but a 10ml bottle holds about five full 2ml pods. A moderate user on a small pod kit often takes between two and five weeks to finish one, while a heavy user will use it faster. Slow, short puffs at low power make it last longer.

Is Triple Mango available in other strengths, and can I swap flavours?

Strength and flavour availability can vary, so check the Elux nic salt range on this site for the options currently in stock. If you want to swap flavours, it is best to change the pod or coil, because flavours carry over in a used coil. We do not recommend mixing different liquids together.

Is this good value compared with prefilled pods?

Per millilitre, a 10ml bottle is usually cheaper than prefilled pods because you are not paying for the pod itself. Divide the bottle price by 10 to get the cost per millilitre, then add the cost of replacement coils. The upfront cost is higher if you also need to buy a device.

Who should not buy this product?

It should not be used by anyone under 18 or by non-smokers and non-vapers. People who are pregnant, breastfeeding or who have heart conditions should speak to a healthcare professional first. It is also unsuitable if you want a cooling flavour, or if you use a high-power sub-ohm device.

Do you deliver to the UK, and is there an age check?

Cracking flavour

Flavour holds up all the way through. Some brands get weaker after a few days but this stays consistent.

Been using for weeks

Honestly, I was unsure at first but this has been great. Flavour is strong and lasts the full session. No complaints at all.
