Hula 7000 Prefilled Pods Overview

Hula 7000 Prefilled Pods are factory-sealed replacement pods for the Hula pod system. Each pod arrives filled with nicotine salt e-liquid and carries its own coil, so there is nothing to pour, prime or assemble. You take the old pod out of the battery section, press the new one in until it seats, give it a few seconds for the wick to saturate, and carry on vaping. That convenience is the reason prefilled pod systems have become the usual route for people leaving cigarettes, and for experienced vapers who want something that lives in a coat pocket without leaking or needing a bottle of liquid in a bag.

The 7000 in the name is the puff figure quoted by the brand. It is worth reading that number with a clear head. Puff counts on pod and vape products are generated under machine-testing conditions with a fixed puff length and airflow setting, and people do not vape like machines. Some take short sips every few minutes, others take long drags in bursts. Later in this guide we explain how to turn the quoted figure into a realistic number of days, and how UK rules on pod volume affect what the figure can mean in practice.

This guide is written for UK buyers and covers the following ground:

  • What is in the pod, and the specs we can state with confidence
  • How the pods perform, taste and wear over their life
  • How the battery, charging and mesh coil technology fit together
  • How to choose a nicotine strength, and who these pods suit or do not suit
  • How to fit, use, troubleshoot and dispose of them properly
  • How the value stacks up against the other pod systems on the UK market

Where we are unsure of an exact figure for a specific variant, we say so and point you to the variant selector or the pack label rather than guess. A vape pod is a nicotine product. It is for adults aged 18 and over who already smoke or vape, and it is not for anyone else.

Specifications at a Glance

Before the detail, here is the short version of what the product is and what we can reasonably say about it. Treat this list as a starting point and always check the variant selector and the pack label for the exact figures on the pod you are buying.

  • Product type: a prefilled, replaceable pod for the Hula pod device. The pod is the consumable part. The battery device is sold separately unless the listing says it is a bundle.
  • Stated puff count: 7000, as quoted by the brand. See the performance section for how to read this figure.
  • E-liquid: nicotine salt formulation, sealed at the factory. Nic salts give a smoother hit at higher nicotine levels than freebase liquid, which is why they dominate the pod category.
  • Nicotine strength: UK law caps retail e-liquid at 20mg/ml (2%). Lower options are usually offered too, so use the strength selector on the listing.
  • Pod volume: UK rules limit the tank or pod capacity of a nicotine vape to 2ml, so that is the ceiling for any legally sold pod.
  • Coil: integrated mesh-style coil inside the pod. You never fit or change a coil separately.
  • Power: supplied by the rechargeable battery in the device, not by the pod. The pod itself needs no charging.
  • Charging: devices in this class normally charge over USB-C, which means a standard cable you probably already own.
  • Age restriction: 18+. Age is checked at checkout and may be checked again on delivery.
  • Single use or reusable: the pod is a replaceable part of a rechargeable system, not a single-use disposable.

That last point matters in the UK. Single-use vapes were banned from sale in Great Britain from 1 June 2025, and the rule targets devices that cannot be recharged or refilled. A rechargeable device with swappable pods is a different category, and it is a sensible way to vape without throwing a battery and a circuit board in the bin every week.

We keep the spec list deliberately cautious. Pod products from different batches sometimes change small details such as coil resistance or pod shape, and quoting a precise figure that turns out to be out of date does buyers no favours. Where a number is a brand claim rather than something we have measured, we label it as such.

Performance and Puff Delivery

Start with the number on the box. A quoted figure of 7000 puffs is a claim about how much vapour the pod can make under controlled machine conditions. It is not a promise about your own use, and it is not a guarantee about any single pod. If you take short, gentle draws, you will get more individual puffs from a pod than someone taking long, hard ones. Long drags and chain vaping empty a pod faster.

The 2ml legal cap on pod volume is the other piece of context. A pod holding 2ml of liquid cannot supply a four-figure puff count if each puff takes the amount of liquid that is typical in mouth-to-lung use. Quoted counts on UK-market products are therefore best treated as comparison numbers between brands rather than literal expectations. That is not unique to Hula. The whole category works this way. If the listing bundles several pods in a pack, or the 7000 refers to the device-and-pod system overall, that would also explain a figure that looks high for a single 2ml pod. Check the pack contents on the listing.

What you can expect in day-to-day use is more practical:

  • Consistent first puffs. A fresh pod usually delivers full flavour after a short wait for the wick to saturate, and does not need priming beyond that.
  • Steady vapour through most of the pod. Mesh coils tend to hold output fairly even until the liquid gets low, at which point flavour thins out and the vapour can turn warm or harsh.
  • A clear end point. When the liquid runs low, the taste goes flat, burnt or papery. That is your cue to swap the pod, not to keep pulling on it.

A reasonable way to plan is to fit a fresh pod, vape as you normally would, and note how many days it lasts. Light users may get a week or more from a pod, moderate users several days, and heavy users closer to two or three. Your own tracking will beat any printed puff count, and after the first pod you will know what to expect from the rest of the pack.

Airflow in this class of device is normally a tight mouth-to-lung draw, similar to pulling on a cigarette. If you are coming from cigarettes, that familiar resistance is part of why pod systems feel natural from the first session. If you are used to a loose, airy draw from a sub-ohm tank, expect it to feel restricted.

Flavour Profile and Variants

Flavour is the main reason people pick one pod over another, and it is also the reason they stick with a product. Prefilled pods are tuned at the factory. The flavour concentrate, the sweetener level and the cooling agent are all fixed, so what you taste in the first session is what you will taste in the last. There is no tweaking, which makes consistency the main thing to judge.

The Hula range is sold in a spread of flavour variants. Use the variant selector on the product page to see what is currently stocked, since availability moves with batches. Pod flavours in this category generally fall into a handful of families, and knowing which family you like helps more than reading a name:

  • Fruit. Single fruits and blends. These tend to taste bright and a little sweet. Berry and tropical profiles are common, and the useful test is whether you want the fruit sharp or candied.
  • Ice and menthol. A cooling agent gives a fresh, throat-cooling finish. Light cooling lets the flavour show through. Heavy cooling can mask it and feel harsh on a sore throat.
  • Sweet and dessert. Custards, candy and soft drink flavours. These can be rich and cloying over a long session, so many vapers keep one in the rotation rather than using it as the only flavour.
  • Tobacco and neutral. The comfortable choice for people coming straight from cigarettes, though the match to real tobacco is only ever approximate.

Two practical points about flavour. First, fruit and sweet flavours often taste strongest in the first day or two and then settle, because your palate adjusts. If you think a pod has lost its flavour after a day, give it one more day before you decide, and avoid vaping while eating or drinking something strongly flavoured. Second, heavily sweetened liquids leave more residue on the coil, so very sweet pods can start to taste slightly burnt sooner than lighter flavours if you chain vape.

If you are unsure, begin with a pack in the flavour family you already enjoy elsewhere. Swapping between flavours is easy because the pod is the flavour. You just change pods. We cover swapping and storage in the how-to section below.

Design and Build Quality

A prefilled pod is a small assembly: a plastic housing, a sealed liquid reservoir, a coil and wick, a mouthpiece, and metal contacts or magnetic pads that connect to the device. The build quality of that assembly decides whether the pod leaks in a bag, whether it seats firmly in the device, and whether the vapour tastes clean. These are the things to look at when you open a pack.

  • Housing. Pods in this class are moulded from clear or tinted plastic so you can see the liquid level. A visible level is useful because it tells you when to change the pod rather than relying on taste alone.
  • Fit. The pod should press in with a firm click or magnetic seat and sit flush with the device body. If you see a gap or it wobbles, take it out and refit it. A loose pod is the most common cause of a pod that will not fire.
  • Seals. The fill port is sealed at the factory. Do not try to open or refill a prefilled pod. Apart from affecting any warranty or return, it risks leaks, burnt coils and contaminated liquid.
  • Mouthpiece. Usually a flat or slightly rounded tip moulded into the pod. Wipe it down occasionally, because it collects fluff in a pocket.
  • Contacts. Keep the base contacts clean and dry. A dab with a dry cotton bud sorts most connection problems.

Pods are consumables, so there is a limit to how much anyone should expect from the plastic. They are designed to be used, drained and replaced, not to be treated like hardware. That said, a well-made pod should arrive with an intact seal, no liquid pooling around the contacts and no cracked housing. Check this when you open the pack. If a pod arrives damaged or leaking, photograph it and contact us rather than using it, since a cracked reservoir can leak nicotine liquid onto skin.

Handle nicotine liquid with respect. If liquid gets on your skin, wash it off with soap and water. Keep the pods away from children and pets, in the same way you would keep any nicotine product out of reach.

In the pocket, a pod system's compact shape is an advantage. Without a refill bottle to carry, the likelihood of a leak is much lower than with a refillable tank, though pressure changes on flights or in the car can still push a little liquid into the airflow channel on any pod. Carry the device mouthpiece-up when you can and wipe it off before use.

Battery and Charging

The pod holds the liquid and the coil, but the battery lives in the device it clicks into. Understanding that split saves confusion, because when the vapour weakens or the light flashes the cause is as often a flat battery as an empty pod. Devices in this class commonly carry a rechargeable lithium-ion cell somewhere in the region of a few hundred to around a thousand mAh, with USB-C charging. Check the specification for your own device for the exact figure.

A rough way to think about it is that a battery in that range will usually outlast a single pod across a day or two of moderate use, so you may find you charge the device every day or two and swap pods every few days. Heavy use shortens both intervals.

A few habits keep the battery in good shape and keep charging safe:

  • Use a decent USB-C cable and a normal plug. A standard phone charger is fine. Avoid cheap unbranded chargers or very high-wattage fast chargers that were not designed for small batteries.
  • Do not leave it charging unattended overnight on a soft surface. Charge on a hard, clear surface and unplug once the indicator shows full.
  • Avoid heat. Do not leave the device in a hot car, on a radiator or in direct summer sun. Heat degrades lithium cells and thins the liquid.
  • Do not charge a damaged device. If the case is swollen, hot to the touch or the device has been dropped hard, stop using it.
  • Top up rather than run flat. Lithium cells last longer when they are not routinely drained to zero.

Most devices in this category use an indicator light that changes colour or flashes to show low battery or charging state. The manual for your device explains the exact signals. As a general pattern, a light that flashes when you draw and produces no vapour points to either a low battery or a pod connection problem, and our troubleshooting section covers how to tell the two apart.

The pod itself needs no charging, but the liquid depends on the battery for heat. If power drops very low you may get a muted or lukewarm hit and wrongly blame the pod. Charge before you swap if the vapour seems to fade quickly. Finally, when a battery eventually reaches the end of its life, do not put the device in general waste or household recycling. Lithium batteries start fires in bin lorries. Take the device to a vape retailer with a drop-off point or a household waste recycling centre that accepts small electricals.

Mesh Coil Technology

The coil is the part that turns liquid into vapour, and it determines most of what you notice about a pod: how quickly it warms up, how well it carries flavour and how long it stays consistent. Prefilled pods in this class use an integrated coil built into the pod, and we describe the Hula pod as mesh-style. Here is what that means in plain terms.

A traditional round-wire coil is a spiral of wire wrapped round a cotton wick. A mesh coil is a thin sheet of metal mesh, rolled into a cylinder, with the wick lying against it. The mesh has far more surface area touching the liquid, so heat spreads more evenly across the wick. In practice, that means:

  • Faster wicking and ramp-up. The coil reaches working temperature quickly, so the first puff after a pause is usually usable.
  • More even flavour. Even heating reduces hot spots, which are the cause of the burnt taste that older coils produced.
  • Good vapour production for the power used. More of the liquid touches the heater, so the pod produces a satisfying volume of vapour without demanding much from a small battery.
  • Consistent life. Mesh coils tend to hold flavour across a pod, though no coil lasts forever and sweet liquids will wear them faster.

Mesh coils have a few weak points. They are sensitive to being run dry. If the liquid level drops below the coil or the wick is not saturated, the mesh overheats and the pod tastes burnt. That is why we recommend waiting after fitting a new pod and changing the pod when you see the liquid drop low. They also respond badly to very long, hard draws that outrun the wick's ability to refill. Short, steady draws of two to four seconds are friendlier to the coil and the liquid.

You do not choose coil resistance on a prefilled pod. The manufacturer sets it to suit the device's output, and the device has no user-adjustable power to match. This is a deliberate trade. You lose tinkerability and gain a product that cannot be set up wrongly. For people who want to adjust wattage or swap coils, a refillable system is a better fit, and there are refillable kits elsewhere in the store.

If a pod starts to taste burnt while it still has liquid, leave it for a minute so the wick can re-saturate, then take two or three gentle, short draws and try again. If the taste persists, the coil has probably worn out and the pod should be replaced.

Choosing a Nicotine Strength

Nicotine strength is the decision that matters most for comfort, and it is where new buyers most often go wrong. UK law limits the nicotine content of e-liquid sold in vapes to 20mg/ml, which is 2%. Nicotine salt pods are commonly offered at that top level and at one or more lower levels. Check the strength selector on the listing for exactly what is stocked for this product.

The right strength depends on how much you smoked or vaped before and how you draw. A rough guide:

  • 20mg/ml. The usual starting point for people who smoke around ten or more cigarettes a day, or who smoke first thing in the morning. Nicotine salts make this strength smoother than the same strength in a freebase liquid, but it still has a noticeable throat hit. It is also the strength most likely to satisfy cravings without constant puffing.
  • 10mg/ml (where offered). A good fit for lighter smokers, social smokers, and ex-smokers stepping down. It is gentler on the throat and many people find it easier to live with long term.
  • Lower than 10mg/ml (where offered). For people close to coming off nicotine altogether, or for those who find even moderate strengths too sharp.

Warning signs that you have the wrong strength are fairly easy to read. If you feel dizzy, queasy, sweaty or get a racing heart after a session, or you cough heavily on every draw, the strength is probably too high, or you are vaping too frequently for it. If you feel unsatisfied, find yourself vaping continuously and still craving a cigarette, the strength may be too low. In that case moving up a level usually works better than puffing harder.

Here is a point that many guides skip. A higher strength does not mean you will vape the pod down faster. Because nicotine salts absorb efficiently, many people end up vaping less once they match the strength to their need. A common mistake is to buy a low strength, vape constantly, and use more liquid and spend more money for the same nicotine intake.

If you are not a smoker or vaper, do not start. Nicotine is addictive, and these products are for adults who are moving away from smoking. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, and anyone with a heart condition or on medication that nicotine may affect, should speak to a GP or pharmacist before using any nicotine product. The NHS stop smoking service can support you with a plan if your goal is to quit nicotine entirely.

Who These Pods Are For

These pods suit a particular kind of buyer. If you recognise yourself in the first list below, the product will probably work well for you. If you are closer to the second, another format is a better fit.

Likely to suit:

  • Smokers switching to vaping who want a draw similar to a cigarette and do not want to learn about coils, wattage or refilling.
  • Existing pod or disposable users looking for a rechargeable system where the pod is replaceable, partly to cut waste and partly because buying pods is often cheaper than buying a whole new device each time.
  • People who vape on the move, at work or in the car, and want something small that does not need a bottle of liquid in a bag.
  • Vapers who value consistent flavour over the ability to mix their own.
  • Anyone who wants to try several flavours without committing to a 10ml bottle of each.

Probably not the right choice:

  • Anyone under 18, and anyone who does not currently smoke or vape.
  • Cloud chasers and anyone who wants a large, warm, airy draw. A mouth-to-lung pod does not do that.
  • Hobbyists who enjoy building coils, mixing liquids or tuning wattage. A refillable device gives you control that a closed pod does not.
  • People who vape very heavily and want the lowest cost per ml. Prefilled pods cost more per ml than bottled liquid, and heavy use magnifies that difference.
  • Anyone who owns a different pod device and hopes to use these pods in it. Pods are device-specific, so confirm that your device is a Hula one before you order.

The compatibility point deserves emphasis. Pods are not interchangeable between brands, and sometimes not between generations of the same brand. Match the pod to the device by model name, not by appearance. If the listing names a compatible model and yours is not on it, ask us before buying.

It is also worth being honest about the case for stopping smoking entirely. For a smoker, switching fully to vaping is substantially less harmful than continuing to smoke, which is the basis of public health advice in England. Using both at once, however, brings far less benefit. If you are using these pods to quit smoking, the aim is to stop cigarettes completely, and then, if you want, to step down nicotine over time.

How to Fit and Use Your Pod

Using a prefilled pod is straightforward, but a few details make the difference between a good first session and a leaky, burnt-tasting one. Follow this sequence when you open a new pod.

  • Check the pack. Make sure the seal is intact and the pod shows no cracks or pooled liquid. Confirm the flavour and nicotine strength on the label.
  • Remove any protective cap or film. Take off any plastic bung or sticker on the mouthpiece and the base contacts, but leave the sealed fill port alone.
  • Fit the pod. Press it into the device until it seats firmly. If the device uses magnets, it will pull into place.
  • Wait. Give the pod two to five minutes to let liquid reach the wick. This is the step people skip, and it is the main cause of a burnt first puff.
  • Take gentle first draws. Two or three short, soft draws wake the coil up. Then vape as normal.
  • Keep draws moderate. Two to four seconds, with a pause between puffs. Long chain-vaping sessions overheat the coil and use liquid fast.

When it is time to change the pod, check the visible liquid level and your flavour. Pull the old pod straight out, wipe the device contacts with a dry cloth, and fit the new one the same way. Keep liquid away from the contacts while you do it.

Storage matters more than most people realise. Keep spare pods upright where possible, away from heat and sunlight, in their pack or a sealed container, and out of reach of children and pets. Do not leave pods in a hot car. Nicotine liquid is sensitive to heat and light, and both can change the taste and strength over time.

Disposal and recycling are part of using these products responsibly in the UK. Used pods contain a small amount of residual nicotine liquid and a coil, and should not go in general rubbish or household recycling. Instead, take used pods and old devices to a retailer that runs a vape recycling drop-off point, or to a household waste recycling centre that accepts small electricals. Never put lithium batteries in the bin, because they can ignite in collection vehicles and waste sites. Keep your used pods in a small pot or bag until your next trip.

Troubleshooting Common Problems

Most pod problems fall into a handful of causes, and almost all are fixable in a minute or two. Work through these before concluding the pod is faulty.

  • No vapour, no light. The battery is probably flat. Charge the device and try again.
  • Light blinks but no vapour. This usually points to a connection problem. Remove the pod, wipe the contacts on the pod and the device with a dry cotton bud, and refit it firmly. If it still blinks, try a different pod. If the second pod works, the first was faulty.
  • Weak or muted flavour on a new pod. Wait. The wick may not be saturated yet. Leave it five minutes, take a couple of gentle draws and try again.
  • Burnt taste. Either the pod is nearly empty, the wick dried out through chain vaping, or the coil is spent. Rest it for a few minutes, then try short draws. If the liquid level is low or the taste persists, change the pod.
  • Gurgling or spitting. Excess liquid in the airflow path. Wipe the mouthpiece, hold the device upright for a minute, and take a few gentle draws to clear the airflow.
  • Leaking. Small amounts of condensation around the base are normal. Wipe it off. A pod that is visibly leaking continuously has a cracked housing or a poor seal, so stop using it and contact us.
  • Hot vapour. Usually a sign of low liquid or taking draws too close together. Rest the device and change the pod if the level is low.
  • Dizziness, nausea or a pounding heart. Stop vaping, get some fresh air and drink water. That is a sign of too much nicotine for you, so move down a strength next time.
  • Device cuts out mid-draw. Many devices have a safety cut-off that stops firing after a long continuous draw. Let go and try again with a shorter draw.

If you have been through these steps and the pod still fails, it may genuinely be faulty. Keep the pod and the packaging, take a clear photo of the problem along with your order number, and contact the shop. Faults caught early are far easier to put right.

One more practical tip is to keep track of which pod is in the device and when you fitted it. That makes it much easier to tell a pod fault from a battery fault, because you can see whether the problem started with the pod swap or after a period of use.

Value for Money and How It Compares

Value is not just the price on the pack. It is the cost per day of actually vaping, and what you give up or gain compared with the alternatives. Because the stated puff count is a machine figure, the most reliable way to judge cost is to track how many days a pod lasts you, then divide the price of one pod by that number of days. Compare the result with what you spent on cigarettes. For most smokers the saving is significant even with branded pods.

Here is how this product sits against the main alternatives on the UK market. We are comparing categories rather than rubbishing other brands, and every format has its fans.

  • Versus refillable pod kits and tank systems. Systems you fill from a bottle, such as many from Vaporesso or Uwell, are cheaper per ml, offer wider flavour choice through bottled e-liquids and let you pick any nicotine strength. They need more handling and can leak if filled badly. Prefilled pods win on convenience and lose on running cost.
  • Versus other prefilled pod systems. Closed pod kits from other brands work the same way. The differences come down to flavour range, pod fit and how well the coil holds up. Pods cannot be swapped between brands, so the decision is mostly about the device you own and the flavours you like.
  • Versus all-in-one rechargeable vapes. Some devices combine battery and liquid in a single body and are not designed for pod swaps. A pod system lets you keep the battery and replace only the consumable part, which produces less waste over time.
  • Versus nicotine replacement therapy. Patches, gum and inhalators are licensed medicines and can be obtained through the NHS. Vaping is not licensed as a medicine, though it has helped many smokers quit. If you want a medical route, ask your pharmacist or the NHS stop smoking service.

Where this product is strong: simplicity, consistent flavour, and the lack of mess. Where it is weaker: cost per ml, because you pay for the convenience of a sealed pod, and flexibility, because you are tied to one device and one brand's flavours.

To keep running costs down, buy multi-packs when you know you like a flavour, store spares properly so they stay fresh, and change pods when the flavour drops rather than throwing them away early. Recycle used pods instead of binning them.

Our overall view is simple. If you want a low-effort way to vape and you will use the Hula device regularly, these pods make sense. If you vape heavily and cost is your main concern, run the numbers against a refillable kit before deciding.

Frequently asked questions

Which nicotine strength should I choose?

Choose 20mg/ml if you smoke around ten or more cigarettes a day or light up soon after waking, and choose a lower strength such as 10mg/ml if you smoke less or are stepping down. UK law caps vape liquid at 20mg/ml, so that is the highest you can buy. If you feel dizzy or queasy, drop down a level next time.

How do I charge it, and do the pods need charging?

The pod never needs charging. Power comes from the battery in the Hula device, which normally charges over USB-C from a standard phone charger and cable. Charge it on a hard surface, unplug it when the indicator shows full, and check your device guide for what each light signal means.

Can I swap flavours or mix variants?

Yes. The flavour is in the pod, so swapping means pulling one pod out and fitting another. Do not open pods or combine liquids. Wipe the mouthpiece between pods because a trace of the previous flavour can linger for a puff or two, and store the removed pod upright in a clean place.

How long does one pod last?

The 7000 figure is a machine-tested brand claim, so real life will differ. Light users may get a week or more from a pod, moderate users several days, and heavy users two or three days. Track how long your first pod lasts and you will have a far more useful number than the printed one.

Are Hula 7000 pods good value?

They cost more per ml than bottled e-liquid in a refillable kit, but they save time, mess and the cost of replacing a whole device. Work out the price of one pod divided by the days it lasts you, then compare that with your cigarette spend. For most smokers the saving is clear, and multi-packs bring the cost down further.

Who should and should not buy these pods?

They suit adult smokers and vapers who want a simple, rechargeable system with consistent flavour and no refilling. They are not for under-18s, non-smokers, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone with a heart condition who has not checked with a doctor. Hobbyists who like to tune and mix would be better served by a refillable kit.

Do you deliver across the UK?

We deliver to UK addresses. Delivery options, prices and cut-off times for faster services are shown at checkout and on our delivery page. You must be 18 or over to buy, and the carrier may ask for proof of age when the parcel arrives.

What are the warranty and returns terms?

Sealed, unopened products can generally be returned within the period shown on our returns page. Because pods are nicotine products that touch the mouth, opened pods usually cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons unless they are faulty. If a pod arrives damaged, leaking or faulty, contact us with your order number and photos and we will deal with it under the terms on the returns page.

Is this a single-use disposable, and how do I recycle used pods?

No. The pod is a replaceable part of a rechargeable system, which is a different category from the single-use vapes banned in Great Britain from 1 June 2025. Do not put used pods or batteries in household rubbish or recycling. Take them to a retailer with a vape recycling drop-off point or a household waste recycling centre that accepts small electricals.

Why does my new pod taste burnt?

The usual cause is that the wick has not finished soaking up liquid. Leave a freshly fitted pod for two to five minutes, take two or three gentle draws, and keep draws to two to four seconds. Really satisfied

Honestly, I was unsure at first but this has been great. Flavour is strong and lasts the full session. No complaints at all.

Flavour is spot on

Not too strong, not too mild — just right. Good for all day use without being overpowering.
