IVG Bar Favourites Nic Salts Tropical Island: what you are buying

IVG Bar Favourites Nic Salts Tropical Island is the Tropical Island option in the IVG Bar Favourites Nic Salts range, priced at £2.99. We list what the product actually is rather than padding it with specifications we cannot verify.

In terms of taste, this one delivers a tropical blend, sweet and layered. It is a straightforward profile rather than a complicated one, which is usually what makes a flavour last.

The full IVG range is at IVG, and this line alone runs to 8 flavours. Everything we ship is genuine UK-compliant stock.

Choosing your nicotine strength

This e-liquid is listed in 10mg and 20mg. UK law caps nicotine at 20mg per ml, so that is the strongest you will find anywhere.

• 20mg gives the firmest throat hit and suits heavier former smokers, or anyone who finds lower strengths leave them vaping more often.
• 10mg is the common middle ground: enough to satisfy without the harshness some find at 20mg.

Going too low often means vaping more to compensate, which defeats the point. 10mg options and 20mg options are browsable separately if you want to compare.

Is Tropical Island the right pick for you?

Names sell, but families predict. Work out which family you already enjoy and the choice gets easier. Tropical Island sits in the sweeter camp: a tropical blend, sweet and layered.

• If you want an all-day vape, a simpler profile usually lasts longer before palate fatigue sets in.
• If you rotate flavours, pair this with something from a different family so your palate resets between them.
• On cooling, this reads as an uncooled profile, which suits anyone who finds menthol overpowering.
• If you are switching from cigarettes, strong sweet flavours can feel unfamiliar at first, and many adults settle after a week or two.

Most people land on a favourite after trying a handful, not on the first purchase.

Getting the best from the bottle

The 10ml bottle size is a legal limit for nicotine-containing liquid, not a packaging choice.

• Prime a fresh coil or pod before the first draw: fill it, then wait a few minutes so the wick soaks properly.
• Store bottles upright, out of sunlight and away from heat, which keeps the flavour truer for longer.
• A burnt taste usually means the wick has dried out rather than the liquid being at fault.
• Keep bottles away from children and pets, and use the child-resistant cap as intended.

Treat the consumable well and it repays you in flavour consistency.

Ordering, delivery and the legal bit

We sell to over 18s only, and orders are age-verified as part of checkout. Nicotine is addictive, and these products are for adults who already smoke or vape.

Browse all e-liquids, or head to the sale if price is the deciding factor. Check your device takes this format before ordering, since pods are not universal.

What the multibuy actually saves you

The offer on this line is buy 5 for £10. At £2.99 each, 5 would normally be £14.95, so the bundle saves £4.95 and works out at £2.00 apiece.

That sits under the £20.00 free delivery threshold, so either add something small or take the offer twice. Mix and match across flavours is allowed, which is the sensible way to use it.

Spend over £20 and UK postage is included. Order before 4pm on a working day and it leaves us that afternoon.

Other flavours in the IVG Bar Favourites Nic Salts range

The same product comes in a spread of profiles, so there is usually a closer match. 8 flavours sit under this name, including:

• Sour Raspberry Pomegranate
• Watermelon
• Blackcurrant Mango
• Lemon Peach Passion Fruit

Buying two at once and alternating is the simplest way to stop any single flavour going flat on you.

Where this sits in the IVG range

A single product tells you little; the shape of the range tells you a lot. We stock 540 IVG products, running from £2.89 to £11.99. That breadth means you can usually stay inside the brand when you want a change, rather than starting over somewhere else.

The full lineup is on the IVG page. Other IVG products worth a look:

• IVG Pro 10K Refill Pods Fizzy Orange at £4.99
• IVG Intense Salts Strawberry Kiwi at £2.89
• IVG Pro 10K Refill Pods Fresh Menthol Mojito at £4.99
• IVG Pro 12 Prefilled Pods and Refills Fizzy Cherry at £5.99

If a brand has worked for you once, its other lines are usually a safer bet than an unknown.

How it compares to the rest of the category

Price alone is a poor guide, so it helps to see the field. We list 736 products in this category. At £2.99, this one sits at the affordable end.

• Multibuy deals are where the price per unit drops hardest, and they can be mixed across flavours.
• Reduced lines carry 1,558 products if the budget is the deciding factor.
• Prefilled pods cost more per millilitre but remove the refilling entirely.

None of those is objectively right. They suit different routines and different budgets.

The running cost, worked out

Headline prices hide the number that actually matters, which is what a week costs you.

No puff rating is published for this listing, so we will not invent a per-puff figure.

• The buy 5 for £10 offer is the single biggest lever on that number.
• Baskets over £20.00 ship free in the UK, so building to that threshold beats paying postage twice.
• Nicotine strength changes consumption: many adults find a higher strength means reaching for the device less often.

Tropical Island against the rest of the line

The quickest way to judge a flavour is against its own siblings, not against the whole shop. There are 8 options under this name:

• Blackcurrant Mango
• Red Rush Ice
• Sour Raspberry Pomegranate
• Watermelon
• Lemon Peach Passion Fruit
• Blue Razz Lemonade

Most regulars keep two on the go rather than committing to one. The buy 5 for £10 offer makes that cheap to do.

Why the UK market looks like this

A lot of the format decisions here were made by law, not by marketing. UK rules cap nicotine at 20mg per ml, nicotine e-liquid bottles at 10ml, and prefilled pods and tanks at 2ml. Those three numbers explain most of the format quirks in this category.

The end of single-use disposables changed what sits on the shelf. Rechargeable kits with replaceable pods took their place, which is why a device now comes with a charging port and a pod you swap rather than a sealed unit you bin. The upshot is less waste and a lower running cost, if you stick with one system.

Everything we sell is UK-compliant stock bought through UK distribution. Sales are 18+ and every order is age-checked.

Delivery, returns and buying with confidence

Here is what happens after you order. Weekday orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day, and UK delivery is free once your basket reaches £20.00. Delivery choices, including tracked services, appear at checkout.

Consumables cannot be returned once opened, for obvious hygiene reasons. Faults and picking errors are resolved without argument. This is an 18+ purchase and orders are age-checked before they ship.

Nicotine is an addictive substance and these products are intended for adults who already smoke or vape.

Looking after it, and what goes wrong

The faults people blame on a product are usually storage or priming.

• Prime before the first draw. Fill, then wait a few minutes so the wick soaks fully. A dry first pull is what burns a coil.
• Keep it cool and upright. Heat thins liquid and pushes it through seals, which is why a hot car is the usual cause of a leak.
• Muted flavour is often you, not it. Palate fatigue is common on a single flavour, and rotating to a second profile resets it.
• Store away from children and pets, and recycle spent hardware rather than binning it loose.

None of that is demanding, and it is the difference between a product that performs to the end and one that disappoints halfway.

Buying this as a first purchase

If this is your first order with us, a few things are worth knowing before you commit.

1. Format. A bottle is the cheapest way to vape per millilitre, but you refill it yourself. Prefilled pods remove that job at a higher cost.
2. Strength. This comes in 10mg and 20mg. Heavier former smokers usually start high and step down.
3. Flavour. You are looking at Tropical Island. Pick a second from a different family so you have something to rotate to.

Get those three right and the rest is detail. The deals page is the cheapest way to try more than one at a time.

Rotating a pair is the simplest fix for flavour fatigue.

What changed when disposables were banned

It is worth understanding why the products look the way they do. Single-use disposable vapes were banned in the UK, and the market replaced them with rechargeable devices that take replaceable pods. The experience is deliberately similar: prefilled, no measuring, no mess. The difference is that the battery survives the flavour, so you replace a pod for a couple of pounds rather than the whole unit.

On balance it made the category cheaper to live with. A device bought once and fed with pods costs less over a month than a stream of sealed units, and produces far less waste. It also changed how you shop: the decision splits into hardware first, then consumables, rather than being one purchase repeated endlessly.

Everything we list meets the current rules. That means 2ml pods, 10ml nicotine bottles and a 20mg strength ceiling, with age verification on every order. Rechargeable kits and replacement pods are the two halves of that system if you are still assembling yours.

Common problems and how to avoid them

The same handful of issues account for nearly every complaint.

A burnt taste on a new bottle. Almost always a coil that was not primed. Fill it, then leave it a few minutes before the first draw so the wick saturates properly. Drawing on dry cotton scorches it, and once burnt it does not recover.

Leaking. Usually heat or pressure. Warmth thins liquid and pushes it through seals, so a hot car or a sunny windowsill is the usual culprit. Cabin pressure on a flight does the same thing, which is why storing spares upright in a bag beats loose in a pocket.

Flavour fading. Frequently the palate rather than the product. If a flavour dulls after a week, switching to a contrasting profile for a day or two usually brings it back sharply.

Buying the wrong fitment. Pods are not universal, and even within one brand the families differ. Check the listing names your device before ordering rather than after. Spares and accessories are grouped separately if you need a replacement part.
