What the IVG Pro 12 Mixed Berry pod is

IVG Pro 12 Prefilled Pods and Refills Mixed Berry is a sealed, ready-filled replacement pod for the IVG Pro 12 vape system. It is listed at £5.99, rated by the manufacturer at 10,000 puffs, and sold in a choice of 10mg or 20mg nicotine salt. The flavour is mixed berry, which means a blended fruit profile rather than one named berry, and that tends to suit people who tire quickly of single-note fruit flavours.

Before anything else, be clear about what this listing is. It is a refill, not a complete device. There is no battery in the pod, no charger and no body to hold it. It is the consumable half of a two-part system, and it only works if you already own the matching IVG Pro 12 device. If you do not yet have one, the IVG Pro 12 starter kit is the usual way in, and pods like this one are what you then buy each time the last one runs dry.

The listing at a glance:

  • Full name: IVG Pro 12 Prefilled Pods and Refills Mixed Berry
  • Brand: IVG
  • Format: sealed prefilled pod, nicotine salt liquid
  • Price: £5.99 each, with BUY 5 FOR £25 shown on the listing
  • Rated puffs: 10,000
  • Strengths: 10mg and 20mg
  • Flavour: Mixed Berry

IVG has been a familiar name on UK shelves for years, and the IVG brand collection shows the whole range, from compact rechargeable kits to large-format refills. Within it, the Pro 12 pods belong to the wider group of prefilled vape pods: pods that arrive full, with nothing to measure, fill, prime or wick.

That convenience is the entire appeal. You buy the device once, then treat flavours a bit like groceries, picking one up when you are running low and changing profile when you fancy something different. Mixed Berry is one of the more approachable choices in that routine, and the sections below cover how it behaves, what it costs over time, and the situations where a different product would serve you better.

How a prefilled pod system actually works

Strip a pod system down and there are only three working parts: a battery in the device, a heating coil, and a reservoir of liquid. In a prefilled pod the coil and the reservoir are built into one sealed unit, and the device supplies the power. When you draw on the mouthpiece, the device senses airflow or a button press, sends current to the coil, and the coil warms a small amount of liquid into vapour. That is the whole mechanism, repeated many hundreds of times over the life of one pod.

The sealed design is a deliberate trade. Because the coil is part of the pod, you never fit a coil separately, never wick one by hand and never risk flooding a tank by overfilling. The price of that simplicity is flexibility. You cannot top the pod up, you cannot choose a different coil resistance, and when the liquid is gone the entire unit is replaced. People who want control over those details usually move towards refillable systems, which we cover further down the page.

In shop terminology this is a closed system, meaning the pod is not designed to be refilled by the user. If you are comparing formats, the closed pod vape kits collection shows how the same idea is packaged across different brands, and it is a handy sense check on whether a Pro 12 style set-up matches the way you actually want to vape.

Nicotine delivery in this format relies on nicotine salt liquid. Salts are chosen for pods because a given strength feels noticeably smoother in the throat than the older freebase type, which is why pod strengths are quoted at levels like 10mg and 20mg rather than the 3mg and 6mg you see on bottled freebase liquid. The two scales are not directly comparable, and that matters if you are arriving from a different style of vaping.

What the listing does not give us, and what we will not invent, are detailed technical figures for the Pro 12 device itself, such as battery capacity or coil resistance. If those numbers matter to your decision, check the device packaging or manual rather than relying on a product summary. For the pod, what you need to know is simpler: it is sealed, it is single use, and it is built for one specific device line.

Reading the Mixed Berry flavour profile

"Mixed berry" is a category more than a recipe, and it is worth saying so plainly. IVG does not publish a note-by-note breakdown for this pod, so what follows describes how mixed berry blends of this type generally read, not a verified ingredient list. Treat it as a guide to expectations rather than a promise.

In most mixed berry profiles, the front of the inhale is bright and slightly tart: the juicy, red-fruit sharpness you get from the first spoonful of a summer fruit compote. Behind it sits a rounder, sweeter layer, closer to jam or fruit syrup, which fills out the middle of the draw. On the exhale a well made blend leaves a soft, lingering fruitiness rather than a sudden drop, and that lingering finish is what separates a pleasant daily flavour from one you stop noticing after ten minutes.

There is no ice or menthol in the product name, and that matters. Plenty of flavours in the Pro 12 line carry "Ice" in the title because they are finished with a cooling sensation, including Cherry Ice, Peach Ice and Pineapple Ice. Mixed Berry does not advertise one, so expect a warmer, less sharp feel in the throat than the iced options. If you want coolness, those titles are the ones to look at. If you want a plain fruit flavour that will not chill your teeth in January, this is the more comfortable pick.

Sweetness is the other variable. Berry blends can feel sugary over a long session, and the effect is known as flavour fatigue: your palate adapts, the taste seems to flatten, and you either draw harder or switch to something else. A practical tactic is to keep a second, contrasting pod to hand, perhaps a mint or a citrus, and swap between the two every day or two. The berry then tastes fresh each time you come back to it.

Finally, remember that flavour perception is personal and is shaped by strength. The same pod tastes a little fuller at 10mg, where the throat is less busy, than at 20mg, where the nicotine hit competes for your attention. Neither is wrong. They simply emphasise different parts of the experience.

Who this pod suits, and who should skip it

Start with the filter that matters most. These pods contain nicotine, which is addictive, and they are intended for adults who already smoke or already vape. They are not for under 18s, not for anyone who has never used nicotine, and not for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding. Every sale on this site is strictly 18+.

Within that group, the Mixed Berry pod suits a fairly clear set of people. Adults moving away from cigarettes often want something pleasant to use every day without much thought, and a sealed pod with a familiar fruit flavour fits that. Existing Pro 12 owners who simply need a reload make up the other large group. Then there is the person who likes variety: with a long flavour list in the same line, one device can cover a whole month of changing tastes without any fiddling.

It is a poor fit for some people, and being straight about that saves disappointment. If you want to adjust airflow, wattage or coil type, a sealed pod will frustrate you. If you want to spend as little as possible per millilitre, bottled liquid is far cheaper per unit, though it needs a refillable device and a little patience. And if you want something that needs no future purchases at all, a disposable vape is the all-in-one route, although you pay for that with a new battery and plastic body every time you buy.

It is common for people who start on tobacco or menthol flavours to drift towards fruit within a few weeks, and a berry blend is a natural landing spot. Those who prefer a strongly cooling finish, a dessert style flavour or a deliberately sour sweet will probably find something closer to their taste elsewhere in the catalogue. The good news is that a shared device means that experiment costs you one pod, not a new kit.

If you are buying for someone else, please do not. Age verification applies to the person ordering, and these are not gifts for anyone under 18 or for non-smokers.

Price, puffs and strengths: the numbers

Numbers first. A single IVG Pro 12 Mixed Berry pod is £5.99. The listing carries a BUY 5 FOR £25 offer. Five pods at the single price would cost £29.95, so the multibuy saves £4.95 and brings the effective price down to £5.00 per pod. The offer also lifts a basket past the £20 mark that unlocks free UK delivery, which is a second, quieter saving.

Then the puff rating. The pod is rated at 10,000 puffs. That is a manufacturer figure, produced under controlled test conditions with a consistent draw, and real use rarely matches it exactly. A long, slow pull uses more liquid than a short tap, and a UK pod holds no more than 2ml, so the rating is best read as a ceiling reached under ideal conditions. Use it to compare products against each other, not as a guarantee. If you want to see how 10,000 puffs stacks up across brands, the 10,000 puff vapes collection groups products at that rating.

Cost per puff is a fair way to sense-check value. Divide £5.99 by 10,000 and you land at roughly 0.06 pence per puff, or 0.05 pence on the multibuy. Even if your own total came in at only six thousand, you would still be looking at about a tenth of a penny per puff. Those are rough sums, not claims, but they show why people tend to buy pods in batches rather than singly.

Two strengths are available: 10mg and 20mg nicotine salt. The 20mg option is the highest strength the UK allows in this format. The strength guide further down the page explains how to choose, but the headline is that you should pick for comfort and not to stretch the pod.

As a rough planning example, if one pod lasts you a week, which is plausible for moderate use but entirely individual, five pods cover about five weeks for £25. Keep an eye on the vape deals collection as well, because offers across the catalogue change regularly and a bundle sometimes beats buying parts separately.

Fitting the pod and the first few sessions

Setting up a prefilled pod takes under a minute, but a few habits at the start make the pod last longer and taste better. Work through it in order.

  • Charge the device first. A flat battery is the most common cause of "my new pod does not work" messages. Use the cable that came with the device and leave it until fully charged.
  • Unpack the pod. Remove any protective cap or seal on the mouthpiece or base, if the pod has one.
  • Seat it firmly. The pod should sit flush with the device. If it feels loose, remove it and try again instead of forcing it.
  • Prime it. Take two or three gentle, slow draws without inhaling to your lungs, so the liquid saturates the coil. Wait a minute or so first if the pod has just come out of a cold parcel.
  • Begin normally. Use short, steady pulls of two or three seconds to start with.

On activation, most pod devices fire when you inhale, with no button involved. The Pro 12 manual is the authority on yours, so follow whichever method it describes. If the device has indicator lights, the manual will also explain what each pattern means.

Dry hits are the first thing to watch for. They happen when the coil is drawn on before the wick is saturated, and they taste burnt and harsh. If you get one, stop, let the pod rest for a few minutes, then prime it again with slow draws. Do not keep pulling on a pod that tastes scorched, because that only damages the coil.

Technique matters with salt nicotine. Most people use a mouth-to-lung style: draw into the mouth, pause for a moment, then inhale. Pulling straight to the chest is possible but can feel harsh, particularly at 20mg. Whichever you prefer, slow draws give a fuller flavour than fast ones.

When you swap to a different flavour, remove the pod and store it upright somewhere clean and dry. A part-used pod can be reused later without any trouble. It is also worth wiping the metal contacts on the device occasionally with a dry cloth, as fluff and residue there can interrupt the connection.

Choosing between 10mg and 20mg nicotine salt

Choosing a strength is the decision people most often get wrong, and it is easy to sort out at the buying stage. The Mixed Berry pod is available in 10mg and 20mg of nicotine salt. The number refers to milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid. In the UK, 20mg is the legal ceiling for a prefilled pod, so the 20mg option is the strongest compliant product you can buy in this format.

As a loose guide, adults who have recently stopped smoking often begin on 20mg, because it tends to feel satisfying in fewer puffs. Adults who have been vaping for a while, or who smoked lightly, frequently prefer 10mg. These are habits observed across many customers, not rules, and your own tolerance is the thing that counts.

Salt liquids are smoother than older freebase nicotine at the same number, but 20mg is still noticeable. If a strength feels too strong for you, put the device down and choose the lower one next time. Nicotine is addictive, and more is not better. Equally, if you find yourself pulling constantly and never feeling settled, the lower strength may simply be underdelivering for your habit, and a step up could mean fewer puffs overall.

Some people buy both and switch by situation, using 20mg on a busy morning commute and 10mg in the evening. Because the two strengths share the same flavour, the swap is seamless. If you would like to understand nicotine salts in more depth, or see how the same strengths appear in bottled form for refillable devices, the nicotine salt e-liquids collection is a good place to browse.

One last point on pod life and strength. A higher strength delivers more nicotine per puff, so many people take fewer, shorter puffs and the pod can appear to last longer. A lower strength can lead to more frequent puffing. Neither is a reliable way to stretch a pod, so choose the strength that suits your body and your habit, and let the pod life follow from that.

Storage, travel and keeping pods fresh

A sealed pod is a small, fairly robust object, but liquid, heat and pressure all affect it, so a handful of storage habits are worth adopting from day one.

Temperature. Keep pods at room temperature, away from radiators, sunny windowsills and parked cars on hot days. Heat thins the liquid and can push it out through the airflow holes. Cold does the opposite, thickening the liquid so that the first draw feels stiff or muted. If a pod has spent time in a cold parcel or a coat pocket, give it a few minutes to reach room temperature before you use it.

Position. Store pods upright with the mouthpiece pointing up. That keeps liquid pooled near the base where the wick can reach it, and away from the airflow path. Lying a pod on its side in a hot bag for long periods is the usual cause of leaks.

Spare stock. Keep unused pods in their original packaging until you need them, which protects the contacts and mouthpiece from fluff and moisture. A desk or bedside drawer is ideal. Check the date printed on the packaging and rotate your stock so older pods go first. If you buy five at a time, writing the purchase date on the outer box takes ten seconds and removes any guesswork.

Travel. Pressure changes on flights are widely reported to cause leaks from pods that are already fitted to a device, and airlines have their own rules about carrying vapes and batteries, so check yours before you fly. For ordinary journeys, a small zip pouch keeps spare pods tidy and stops them being crushed by keys.

Safety at home. Nicotine liquid is poisonous if swallowed, so keep pods and devices well out of reach of children and pets. Used pods contain a coil and residual liquid, so do not put them in ordinary household recycling; check your local council guidance for the right way to dispose of them, as arrangements vary by area.

Honest pros and cons of this pod

Every format has trade-offs, and a pod this simple has them in plain sight. Here is how Mixed Berry weighs up, starting with what works in its favour.

  • No preparation. There is no filling, no coil changing and no measuring. You fit the pod and use it.
  • An easy flavour. Blended berries are one of the least divisive profiles in vaping, which makes this a low-risk choice if you have not tried the flavour before.
  • Predictable cost. £5.99 for one, or £5.00 each on the five pod offer, with a 10,000 puff rating that helps you compare against other products.
  • Two strengths in one flavour. You can choose 10mg or 20mg without changing the taste you already like.
  • Compact refills. Spare pods take up almost no space, so you can carry a reserve without noticing.

And now the other side of the ledger.

  • It needs the matching device. The pod does nothing on its own, and it will not fit other IVG kits.
  • It is sealed. Once empty, the pod is replaced, which creates more waste than a refillable set-up.
  • One flavour per pod. If you tire of Mixed Berry halfway through, you cannot change it, only swap to another pod.
  • The puff rating is a ceiling. Real-world use varies with draw length, strength and habit.
  • Higher cost per millilitre. Prefilled pods cost more than bottled e-liquid for the same volume, and you are paying for convenience.

The advantages are almost all about convenience, and the disadvantages are about control and cost. Which side wins depends on how you vape. If you take a handful of draws through the day and want things to simply work, the convenience usually carries it. If you are a heavy user watching your monthly spend, a refillable route may come out cheaper over a year. Neither answer is wrong, but it is worth deciding on purpose rather than by default.

Troubleshooting common pod problems

When a pod misbehaves, the cause is nearly always one of five things. Go through them in order before assuming the pod is faulty.

  • No vapour at all. Check the battery is charged and the pod is seated properly. Remove it, wipe the contacts with a dry cloth, refit it, and take a few slow priming draws. If the device flashes a light pattern, the manual will tell you what it means.
  • Weak or muted flavour. This is often flavour fatigue rather than a fault. Rest the pod, try a different flavour for a day, then return. If the pod is simply near the end of its life, the taste will thin out and you will notice it before the vapour stops.
  • Burnt taste. Stop using the pod immediately. A dry hit usually means the coil was not saturated or the liquid is nearly gone. Let it rest and prime it again. If a brand new pod still tastes burnt after priming, it may be faulty.
  • Leaking. Heat, pressure and lying the pod flat are the usual culprits. Wipe away any liquid, store the pod upright, and avoid squeezing it in a pocket. A pod that leaks straight out of the packaging should be reported.
  • Gurgling or spitting. This is condensation gathering around the mouthpiece or airflow channel. Wipe the mouthpiece and blow gently through it to clear it.

Note that prefilled pods do not need coils bought separately, because the coil is part of the pod. If a listing or a guide suggests changing a coil, it is talking about a refillable system, not this one.

If you have worked through the list and the pod still does not behave, or it arrives damaged or not as described, tell us. Have your order number ready and a clear photo if the issue is visible, then get in touch with the team. Common questions are also answered in the FAQ section at the foot of this page, which is worth a quick look before you write.

Upgrades, pairings and alternatives worth knowing

Once you have settled into Pro 12 pods, the question becomes what else is worth knowing about. Start with the obvious pairing: this pod belongs with the IVG Pro 12 device, so if yours is lost, damaged or you are buying for the first time, the IVG Pro 12 starter kit is the matching purchase. The wider vape kits collection is the place to look if you fancy a different look, a different battery or a different brand altogether.

Within the same pod line, berry fans often rotate with a contrasting flavour so nothing goes stale. Pink Lemonade, Lemon Lime and Blueberry Mint all sit in the same range and bring citrus or coolness to offset the sweetness of mixed fruit. If you lean towards sharper, sweeter blends, Strawberry Kiwi and Red Sour Raspberry are worth a look. Keeping two flavours on the go is a cheap way to avoid the palate fatigue described earlier.

If sealed pods start to feel limiting, refillable vape pods are the natural next step. You fill them from a bottle, which lowers the cost per millilitre and opens up a huge choice of liquids, including short fills and nicotine salts. The trade-off is more handling: you fill the pod yourself, you replace coils when they wear, and you accept a bit of mess. Many people like the control. Others quickly decide the convenience of a sealed pod was worth paying for.

If your priority is a different puff rating, we also list 6,000 puff and 15,000 puff products, plus much larger formats. A higher rating means more vapour per product but usually a bigger or heavier device, so the right choice depends on how much you vape and how much you want to carry. Whichever way you go, check that any pod you buy is made for your specific device. Pods are not interchangeable across brands, and often not even across lines within one brand.

We also stock other nicotine products, including pouches and heated tobacco. If you use more than one, keep track of your total nicotine intake rather than treating each product separately.

Delivery, age checks and returns summary

Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day. UK delivery is free once your basket reaches £20, which a five pod multibuy clears comfortably. A single pod at £5.99 will not, so postage applies if you are only topping up. The shipping information page has the current delivery options and timings, and it is worth a read before you order if you need something by a particular day.

Everything sold here is 100% genuine, sourced through official UK distribution. With prefilled pods, that matters more than it sounds. A compliant UK pod is limited to 2ml and to a maximum of 20mg nicotine, and it carries the correct labelling and safety information. Products sold outside that framework carry none of those guarantees. When your order arrives, check that the packaging is intact and the labelling is present, and keep the outer box until you have confirmed everything is as expected.

Age checks apply to every order. Sales are strictly 18+, and the process is explained on our age verification page. If we cannot confirm your age, the order will not be sent and will be refunded. Identification may also be requested at the point of delivery, so make sure someone eligible is available to receive the parcel.

On returns, vape consumables cannot be sent back once they have been opened, for hygiene and compliance reasons. If something arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, or if we have picked the wrong item, we will put it right. Contact us with your order number and a clear photo, using the same route mentioned in the troubleshooting section, and we will take it from there.

A final reminder. This product contains nicotine, which is an addictive substance. It is intended for adult smokers and current vapers, and it is not suitable for under 18s, non-smokers, or anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep it away from children and pets.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Zero-mess flavour change — snap in, done
  • Consistent draw from a factory-primed coil
  • Long shelf-life, easy to travel with

Cons

  • Costs more per ml than freestanding e-liquid
  • Pods are proprietary to a specific device

Customer Buying Tips

  • Check device compatibility: a pod must match your exact device family (e.g. "Elfa Pro" pods only fit Elfa Pro devices).
  • Store sealed pods upright, below 30 °C — heat and sunlight drain flavour.
  • Rotate flavours: using the same pod flavour back-to-back dulls your palate within a week.

Frequently asked questions

Does this listing include a device?

No. It is a prefilled replacement pod for the IVG Pro 12 system only. There is no battery, no charger and no device body in the pack. You need to already own the matching IVG Pro 12 device for the pod to work. If you are starting from scratch, look at the IVG Pro 12 starter kit, which pairs a device with a first pod.

What does the Mixed Berry flavour taste like?

Expect a blended fruit profile with a bright, slightly tart front and a sweeter, jam-like middle. IVG does not publish a note-by-note breakdown, so this is a general description of how mixed berry blends read, not a verified ingredient list. The name does not mention ice or menthol, so expect a warmer finish than the iced flavours in the same line.

How many puffs does one pod give?

It is rated at 10,000 puffs by the manufacturer. That is a test figure using a consistent draw, so your own total will depend on how long and how often you puff, and on the strength you choose. Treat it as a way to compare products rather than a fixed promise. A UK pod holds no more than 2ml of liquid.

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg?

Adults who have recently stopped smoking often begin on 20mg because it tends to feel satisfying in fewer puffs. Adults who already vape regularly, or who smoked lightly, often prefer 10mg. Twenty milligrams is the highest strength allowed in the UK for this format. If a strength feels too strong, choose the lower one next time. Nicotine is addictive, so more is never better.

What does BUY 5 FOR £25 actually save?

Five pods at the single price of £5.99 would total £29.95. The offer brings that to £25.00, which is a saving of £4.95 and an effective price of £5.00 per pod. It also takes your basket past the £20 threshold for free UK delivery. Check your basket total shows the offer before you pay, and contact us if anything looks wrong.

Will this pod fit other IVG devices?

No. Pods are made for one specific device family, so always match the line name on the pod to the line name on your device. These are IVG Pro 12 pods and are meant for the IVG Pro 12 system. Other IVG products, such as the rechargeable 2400 kits, are separate designs and do not take these pods.

Can I refill the pod myself?

No. This is a sealed, prefilled pod and it is not designed to be refilled. Trying to open or top one up can damage the coil, cause leaks and spoil the flavour. When the pod is empty, replace it. If you want to fill your own, a refillable pod system with bottled e-liquid is the better route, and we stock those too.

How should I store spare pods?

Keep them in their original packaging, upright, at room temperature and away from direct sunlight, radiators and hot cars. Heat can push liquid through the airflow holes and cause leaks, while cold can make the first draw feel stiff. Rotate your stock so that older pods are used first, and keep everything out of reach of children and pets.

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day. UK delivery is free on baskets over £20, which the five pod offer clears on its own. A single pod will attract standard postage. Delivery options and timings are shown at checkout and explained on the shipping information page.

Are these pods genuine, and who can buy them?

Yes, all stock is 100% genuine and comes through official UK supply channels. Pods are compliant with UK rules on tank size and nicotine strength. Sales are strictly to adults aged 18 or over, and age verification applies to every order. These products contain nicotine and are for adult smokers and vapers only, not for non-smokers or anyone under 18.
