What the IVG Smart Max Exotic Fruits pod is

IVG Smart Max Refill Pack Exotic Fruits is a prefilled replacement pod for the Smart Max system from IVG, rated by the manufacturer at 10,000 puffs. It is a consumable, not a device. You click it into compatible hardware, wait a moment for the wick to settle, and vape until the flavour fades. That is the whole routine, and it is a big part of why this format has taken over from the single-use bars that used to dominate UK shelves.

On this listing you get a factory-sealed pack holding two prefilled pods, a short compatibility and safety leaflet, and a choice of 10mg or 20mg nicotine salt. The flavour is Exotic Fruits, a mixed-fruit blend rather than one named fruit. It sits in a refill range that runs to more than twenty flavours, so if this one is not quite your style, the rest of the IVG range gives you plenty of other directions to try.

It helps to be clear about what "refill pack" means here. Each pod contains e-liquid and a coil in one sealed unit. You do not top it up, and you do not unscrew anything. When a pod is spent you lift it out and click in the next. That is the trade on offer: you give up the tinkering that comes with refillable tanks in return for a format that is clean, quick and predictable. If you are still weighing up the format, the prefilled vape pods collection puts every sealed-pod option in one place, so you can compare strengths, puff ratings and flavours side by side.

Who is it aimed at? Adult nicotine users who already own a Smart Max device and want a fruit flavour to run through it, plus anyone who likes the idea of a long-rated pod without handling bottles, droppers or spare coils. It is sold strictly to over 18s, and age is checked at checkout. Nicotine is addictive, and this product is not intended for anyone who does not already use it.

The rest of this page walks through the flavour, how the pod works, the figures on the listing, first use, strength choice, care and troubleshooting, so that you can decide before you buy rather than after.

Reading the Exotic Fruits flavour profile

Exotic Fruits is a name that promises a great deal and specifies very little, so it is worth being straight about what the listing does and does not tell us. The product is tagged as a mixed-fruit flavour. It does not itemise the fruits, and there is no tasting breakdown from IVG that we can quote. We would rather say that plainly than invent a list of notes and send you away expecting something the pod does not deliver.

What we can describe is how this style of blend usually behaves. Mixed exotic flavours in nicotine salt pods tend to lean sweet and rounded rather than sharp, with a juicy, tropical-leaning character that fills the mouth on the inhale and fades fairly quickly on the exhale. Fruits such as mango, pineapple, passion fruit and guava turn up often in blends sold under names like this, though we cannot confirm which of them, if any, are in this particular pod. Think of it as a fruit cocktail rather than a single fruit pressed into a glass.

Nothing in the name points to a cooling finish. Other flavours in the same range announce theirs, as Pineapple Ice and Polar Mint do, so it is reasonable to expect Exotic Fruits to be warmer and sweeter than those. If you like a menthol edge on everything you vape, you may find this one rounder than you want. If you prefer your fruit plain and soft, that is more or less the point.

To triangulate before you buy, a few neighbours in the range make useful reference points. Triple Mango is the one to try if you would rather have a single dominant fruit. Tropical fruits covers similar territory under a different name. Kiwi Passionfruit Guava and Fruit Fusion are other multi-fruit options if you want to compare how different blends handle the same idea.

One practical point about mixed-fruit flavours is that they reward shorter, gentler draws. Long hard pulls heat the coil, flatten the nuance and push everything towards plain sweetness. Take it easy for the first few days and you will get a much clearer idea of the pod's character. Your palate matters too. The listing's own buying tips suggest rotating flavours, because using the same one back to back tends to dull how it tastes within about a week.

How the sealed pod system works

Inside the plastic shell there are three working parts: a reservoir of nicotine salt e-liquid, a cotton wick that carries the liquid to the heat, and a coil that warms it into vapour. The battery is not one of them. That lives in the device, and the pod simply makes contact with it when you click it into place. When you draw on the mouthpiece, the device powers the coil, the wick feeds it, and you taste the result. Check your device leaflet for the exact way it fires, since that varies by model.

This is a closed system, which means the pod is sealed at the factory and is not designed to be opened or topped up. If you want to see how the wider category works, the closed-pod kits range shows the devices these pods are built around. The benefit of that sealed design is consistency: the coil is already primed and matched to the liquid, so you are not guessing at wattage, resistance or wicking.

The 10,000 puff rating deserves a sentence of context. UK rules cap a prefilled pod at 2ml, and a single pod of that size cannot physically supply a five-figure number of draws on its own. The listing describes the rating as a manufacturer figure for the product, and as the page itself says, it is a lab measurement. Real use depends on how hard and how often you draw. Treat it as a way of comparing one product with another, not as a promise about any one pod.

Nicotine salt is worth a short explanation as well. It is nicotine combined with an acid, a form that tends to feel smoother in the throat than the older freebase type, which is why it is so common in pod systems. The listing gives the strength as 20mg per millilitre at the top end, which is the legal ceiling for UK products.

Finally, compatibility. Pods in this category are proprietary. A pod must match your exact device family, so a Smart Max pod is for Smart Max hardware, not for any pod device you happen to own. If you are unsure, ask before you order.

The figures on the listing, checked

Here are the numbers exactly as they appear on the product page, without rounding anything up in the shop's favour.

  • Brand: IVG
  • Format: prefilled pod, sold as a refill or replacement
  • Flavour: Exotic Fruits
  • Puff rating: 10,000, a manufacturer figure
  • Nicotine strengths: 10mg and 20mg, nicotine salt
  • In the pack: two prefilled replacement pods, sealed in foil, with a compatibility and safety leaflet
  • Multibuy: buy four for £23, shown in the price table as £5.75 each
  • Dispatch: same day on weekday orders placed before 4pm

Several things are deliberately missing from that list. We do not quote a battery capacity, a coil resistance or an e-liquid volume for this pack, because none of them appear in the product data and we will not guess. The battery belongs to the device. The only volume figure we can state with confidence is the legal one: a UK prefilled pod holds no more than 2ml.

On the puff count, you can see how this pack sits against its peers in the 10,000 puff range, which is a useful sanity check if you are comparing pods from several brands. Remember that the rating is a comparison tool. A pod that claims more is not automatically better value, and one that claims less is not automatically worse.

The multibuy arithmetic is simple. Four for £23 works out at £5.75 each. Check the price shown at the top of the page and the total in your basket before paying, because the multibuy applies once the quantity reaches four. Spend over £20 and standard UK delivery is free, so a four-pod order clears the threshold comfortably.

Fitting your first pod, step by step

Start with clean, dry hands and the pack to hand. The listing gives a short method, and it works, but a few small habits make the difference between a flavourful first session and a disappointing one.

  • Peel the seal. Remove the film or foil covering the pod. If you click it in with the seal still on, you will get no vapour and may assume the pod is faulty.
  • Click it into place. Push the pod firmly into your compatible device until it sits flush. A faint click and no wobble is what you are after.
  • Wait 60 seconds. This is the step people skip. The cotton wick needs time to soak up the liquid, and drawing on a dry wick is the fastest route to a harsh, burnt hit.
  • Take a gentle first draw. Two or three soft pulls will finish saturating the wick. After that, vape as you normally would.
  • Swap when the flavour fades. When the taste thins out or turns scorched, the pod is spent. Lift it out and fit the second one from the pack.

A couple of extras are worth knowing. Hold the device upright while the pod is wicking rather than leaving it flat on a table, so the liquid settles towards the coil. If a new pod seems weak, resist the urge to take long, hard draws to force flavour out of it. That heats the coil faster than the wick can keep up, and you will shorten the pod's life.

If you have fitted a pod and nothing happens, the most common culprits are a seal left on, a pod that has not seated properly, or a flat battery. We cover those in the troubleshooting section below, and the general FAQ page answers the wider questions about ordering, delivery and product use.

Finally, keep the second pod sealed in its foil until you need it. Opening both at once only exposes the spare to air and warmth for no benefit.

Choosing between 10mg and 20mg

Two strengths are listed, 10mg and 20mg, and the gap between them matters more than the numbers suggest. Both are expressed per millilitre of liquid, and 20mg is the highest strength the UK allows. There is no 0mg option on this pod, which is worth knowing if you were hoping for a nicotine-free version of the flavour.

Because these are nicotine salts, the strengths feel different from what the same figures would suggest in older freebase liquid. A 20mg salt delivers nicotine efficiently and can feel firm at the back of the throat on a strong draw. A 10mg salt is noticeably softer and is often chosen by people who vape little and often rather than in long sessions.

As a rough guide, and not as advice about your health, many adult smokers who move to pod systems start at 20mg because it is the closest in character to a cigarette. Occasional or lighter nicotine users commonly find 10mg plenty. If you are unsure, think about how you actually use a device. If you reach for it constantly through the day and find yourself taking long, repeated draws, you may be better served by the higher strength so that each draw does more. If you vape in short bursts and find 20mg harsh, 10mg is the sensible place to begin.

Do not choose a strength by habit alone. Nicotine strength and nicotine intake are not the same thing, because how deeply and how often you draw changes how much you take in. Start where you think you belong, give it a few days, and move down a step if it feels like too much. Nicotine is addictive, and this range is intended for adults who already use it.

If you also use refillable devices and want to understand strengths across formats, the nicotine salt e-liquids range lists the same 10mg and 20mg choices in bottled form. It is a handy way to see how a strength you already know from one format translates to another.

Who this pod suits, and who should skip it

A pod like this makes sense for a fairly specific person, and it is better to be honest about that than to pretend it suits everyone.

It suits you if you already own, or are about to buy, an IVG Smart Max device and want a fruit flavour to run through it. It suits you if you like a sweet, mixed-fruit profile and would rather not pick a single named fruit. It suits you if you value convenience: no bottles to carry, no coils to change, no liquid on your fingers, and a spare pod in the pack for when the first one runs out. It also suits people who travel, since a sealed pod in a pocket is a lot less fiddly than a bottle in a bag.

It is a poorer fit in a few cases. If you do not own a compatible device, a standalone pack of pods will not do anything for you, so sort the hardware first. If you prefer dry, tobacco or menthol flavours, there are other options in the same line that will serve you better than a sweet fruit blend. If you like to experiment with mixing your own liquids or tuning your wattage, a sealed pod will frustrate you, and a refillable setup is a more natural home.

And a firm boundary: this is for adults only. You must be 18 or over to buy, and we verify age at checkout. The age verification page explains how those checks work. If you have never used nicotine, or are buying on behalf of someone under 18, this is not the product for you, and we cannot sell it.

Finally, consider how you use flavour. Some people find a sweet fruit pod delightful for the first week and cloying by the third. If that sounds like you, buy a single flavour first rather than stocking up, and use the multibuy only once you know it holds your interest.

Battery, charging and keeping spares fresh

The pod has no battery of its own. Power, charging and battery capacity all belong to the Smart Max device, which is why this listing does not state a milliamp figure for the pod. If a page claims a battery size for a pack of pods, it is describing something else.

That said, the battery has a direct effect on how a pod tastes, so it deserves a few lines here. A device running low gives a thin, lukewarm vapour, and many people assume the pod has gone flat when in fact the charge is the problem. Before you swap a pod that seems weak, charge the device and try again. Use the cable and charging method given in your device leaflet, and avoid leaving it plugged in unattended for long stretches. Charging details differ between models, so follow the guidance supplied with yours.

Storage is the other half of keeping a pod in good form. The listing's own advice is to keep sealed pods upright and below 30 degrees Celsius, because heat and sunlight drain flavour. In practice, that means not leaving them on a car dashboard, on a windowsill or beside a radiator. A drawer or a bag in a cool room is ideal. Keep the foil intact until you are ready to use a pod.

A few more habits help. Do not leave a fitted pod in a bag where it can be knocked or squeezed, since pressure can force liquid out of the mouthpiece. Changes in cabin pressure can also cause leaks, so if you are flying, carry spares sealed and upright. Keep pods, packaging and liquid well away from children and pets.

The listing describes the pods as having a long shelf life, and they are easy to carry, but no use-by date is stated on the page, so check the pack when it arrives. When a pod is finished, do not bin it loose. Take it to a recycling point or a retailer that accepts used vape products, and check your local council's guidance for what is accepted where you live.

Pros, cons and the honest trade-offs

Every format has a price, and a sealed pod is no exception. Here is a plain account of where this one earns its place and where it does not.

What works in its favour

  • It is clean. You snap it in and you are done, with no bottles, droppers or spills.
  • The coil is factory primed, so the draw is consistent from the first session.
  • It travels well, and the pack includes a second pod for later.
  • The flavour range around it is wide, so changing your mind costs little.
  • There is a multibuy of four for £23 for anyone who settles on a favourite.

What counts against it

  • It costs more per millilitre than bottled e-liquid, because you are paying for the convenience and the coil.
  • Pods are proprietary, so they only fit the device family they were designed for.
  • Only 10mg and 20mg are offered, with nothing lower.
  • The flavour is fixed. You cannot mix or adjust it.
  • A sealed pod generates more plastic waste than a refillable tank.

None of these is a deal breaker on its own. They simply determine whether the format is right for you. If clean convenience matters most, the cons are small. If you care mostly about lowest running cost or total control over your setup, the cons begin to weigh more heavily and a refillable route will probably suit you better.

On value specifically, the multibuy is the main lever. Four pods for £23 brings the price per pod down to £5.75 on the page's own table, which is the sensible way to buy once you know the flavour suits you. Our vape deals page collects the other bundles and offers across the shop, which is worth a look if you are buying for the month rather than the week.

One last honest note: the review score and the sales figures on a product page tell you what other people thought, not what you will think. Flavour is personal.

When a pod tastes wrong or stops working

Most pod problems turn out to be one of a handful of causes, and the majority can be fixed in under a minute. Work through these in order before you assume something is faulty.

  • No vapour at all. Check that the seal has been peeled off, that the pod is clicked in fully, and that the device has charge. These three account for most "dead" pods.
  • A burnt or scorched taste. This usually means the coil has run dry. Either the pod is near the end of its life, or you drew too soon after fitting it or too hard and too long. Give a fresh pod a full 60 seconds to wick before you start.
  • Weak flavour from a new pod. Try charging the device first. If the battery is fine, the cause may be palate fatigue, which is real. Swap to a different flavour for a day or two and come back.
  • Gurgling or liquid at the mouthpiece. This is usually condensation or a pod that has been stored on its side or in the warm. Wipe the mouthpiece with a dry tissue, hold the device upright, and take a couple of gentle draws.
  • An intermittent connection. Wipe the metal contacts on the pod and in the device with a dry cloth, then re-seat the pod.

Do not try to prise a pod open, refill it or pierce it. The coil is part of the sealed unit, so there is nothing inside for you to replace. If you are browsing for loose coils, those are for refillable systems and not for a sealed pod like this one.

If you have worked through the list and the pod still misbehaves, it may genuinely be faulty. Faulty items are replaced free of charge, so get in touch through the contact page with your order number and a short description of what happened. Photos help if there is a leak or visible damage.

Note that opened consumables cannot be returned for health and safety reasons unless they are faulty, so take a moment to confirm the cause before you set a pod aside.

Pairing, upgrades and other puff ratings

Think of this pod as one half of a pair. The other half is the device, and getting that match right is more important than any detail of the flavour. If you do not have the hardware yet, browse the big-puff vape kits to see the devices that sit alongside pods of this kind, and make sure the one you pick is compatible with the Smart Max pod format before you buy a pack of refills.

Within the same family, the obvious next step is to try a neighbouring flavour. If Exotic Fruits suits you, Triple Mango, Tropical fruits, Peach Pineapple Mango and Kiwi Passionfruit Guava all explore related fruit territory. If you find it a little too sweet, an ice or mint option in the same range gives you a cooler, sharper finish. Rotating between two flavours is also a good way to stop your palate tiring of either.

If you are weighing up bigger or smaller commitments, puff ratings are a rough guide to how long a product is meant to last. For a longer-lived option you can look at the 15,000 puff range, and for something lighter there are 6,000 puff products in the shop as well. At the far end sit the 30,000 and 50,000 puff devices, which are built for people who want to charge and forget. Bigger is not automatically better, though. A higher rating usually means a larger or heavier product, and it does not guarantee that the flavour will stay as good through the whole life of the device.

Other formats exist too, and they are worth a mention for completeness. Refillable setups with bottled e-liquid typically cost less per millilitre and give you control over strength and flavour. Nicotine pouches and heated tobacco products work in quite different ways and appeal to a different kind of user. These are separate choices for adults with different preferences, and none of them is a recommendation from us about your health.

If in doubt, start small. One pack of this pod, one device you are sure about, and a few weeks of honest use will tell you more than any amount of reading.

Delivery, returns and buying with confidence

Orders placed before 4pm on a weekday leave us the same day. That is the headline, and it matters because a pod is the sort of thing you tend to need when the last one has just run out. Stock is listed as available today, and we only list product sourced through UK distributors.

On delivery, the figures on the listing are as follows. Royal Mail Tracked 24, the next-day service, costs £1.99 on orders under £20 and is free over £20. DPD Next Working Day costs £3.99, or £2.99 on orders over £20, and is free over £100. Everything is sent in discreet plain packaging. The shipping page sets out the full detail for UK orders, so it is worth a read if you have a deadline.

At checkout, your age is verified, and orders cannot go through without it. That applies to every order, whatever the size.

Returns are straightforward but strict, for good reason. Unopened, unsealed product can be returned within 14 days. Opened consumables cannot be returned for health and safety reasons, which is standard across the trade for anything that goes near your mouth. If an item turns out to be faulty, it is replaced free of charge. Keep your order confirmation and, if something is wrong, tell us as soon as you notice rather than weeks later.

A short checklist before you click the button:

  • Confirm you have, or have ordered, a compatible Smart Max device.
  • Pick your strength deliberately, not by default.
  • Check the basket total, particularly if you are using the four for £23 multibuy.
  • Order over £20 if you want delivery to be free.

If anything on this page is unclear, ask before you order. Questions about stock, compatibility or delivery are exactly what the team is there for, and a quick message is cheaper than a wrong pack.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Zero-mess flavour change — snap in, done
  • Consistent draw from a factory-primed coil
  • Long shelf-life, easy to travel with

Cons

  • Costs more per ml than freestanding e-liquid
  • Pods are proprietary to a specific device

Customer Buying Tips

  • Check device compatibility: a pod must match your exact device family (e.g. "Elfa Pro" pods only fit Elfa Pro devices).
  • Store sealed pods upright, below 30 °C — heat and sunlight drain flavour.

Frequently asked questions

How many puffs does the IVG Smart Max Refill Pack Exotic Fruits give?

The manufacturer rates it at 10,000 puffs, and that figure comes from lab testing. Because a UK prefilled pod is capped at 2ml, a single pod cannot supply that many draws alone, so treat the number as a way of comparing products rather than a promise about one pod. Real life varies with how often you draw, how long each draw is, and how well the device is charged. If you take short, gentle draws you will usually get more from each pod than if you take long, hard ones.

What does the Exotic Fruits flavour actually taste like?

The listing tags it as a mixed-fruit flavour but does not itemise the fruits, so we do not claim specific notes. In general, exotic fruit blends in nicotine salt pods are sweet, rounded and juicy, with a tropical lean. Nothing in the name suggests a menthol or ice finish, which other flavours in the range advertise openly. If you want a reference point, Triple Mango and Tropical fruits are neighbours in the same line.

Which device does this pod fit?

It is a replacement pod for the IVG Smart Max system, and pods in this category are proprietary, meaning they only fit the device family they were designed for. A pod from another brand or another IVG range will not necessarily fit. If you are not sure whether your hardware is compatible, contact us before ordering and we will confirm it for you.

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg?

Both are available as nicotine salt. 20mg is the highest strength allowed in the UK and tends to feel firmer in the throat, so many adult smokers start there. 10mg is gentler and suits lighter or occasional use. Pick the strength that matches how you actually use a device, and move down a step if it feels like too much. Nicotine is addictive, and this product is for adults who already use it.

How many pods come in a pack?

The listing states two prefilled replacement pods per pack, sealed in foil, along with a short compatibility and safety leaflet. Keep the second pod sealed until you need it so that it stays fresh. The multibuy of four for £23 refers to four of the listed items, so check your basket total to confirm the quantity and price before you pay.

Can I refill the pod when it runs out?

No. It is a sealed, factory-primed unit with the e-liquid and coil built in, and it is not designed to be opened or topped up. Trying to prise it open risks leaks and damage and gains you nothing. When a pod is finished, remove it and fit the next one. If you prefer to refill your own, a refillable pod or tank setup is the better route.

Why does my new pod taste burnt?

Usually the coil has run dry. The most common cause is drawing before the wick has soaked up liquid, so wait a full 60 seconds after fitting a new pod. Long, hard draws can also scorch the coil faster than the wick can feed it. Check the device battery as well, because a low charge can make vapour taste thin or off. If a pod burns straight out of the pack, it may be faulty, and we will replace it.

How quickly will my order arrive, and is delivery free?

Orders placed before 4pm on a weekday are dispatched the same day. Royal Mail Tracked 24 costs £1.99 under £20 and is free over £20. DPD Next Working Day is £3.99, or £2.99 over £20, and free over £100. All parcels go out in discreet plain packaging. The shipping page has the full detail for UK orders.

Can I return an opened pod?

Opened consumables cannot be returned for health and safety reasons. Unopened, unsealed product can be returned within 14 days. If a pod is faulty, tell us and it will be replaced free of charge, so it is worth contacting us before you assume you are out of luck. Include your order number and a short description or photo of the problem to speed things up.

Do I need to prove my age to buy this?

Yes. You must be 18 or over, and age is verified at checkout on every order. This applies to all nicotine products in the shop. If the check cannot be completed, the order cannot go ahead. The age verification page explains how those checks work, so it is worth a read if you have not ordered from us before.
