Overview of the MVP 20K Prefilled Pods in Strawberry Watermelon

The MVP 20K Prefilled Pods Strawberry Watermelon are sealed, factory-filled replacement pods for use with a compatible MVP pod device. There is no bottle to open, no liquid to pour and no priming by hand. You remove the spent pod, click the new one into the device and carry on. The strawberry watermelon flavour sits in the fruit category, which is consistently one of the most popular choices among UK adult vapers who have moved away from cigarettes.

Because this is a pod-refill product, it helps to be clear about what you are buying. The pod holds the e-liquid and the heating element (the coil). It does not hold the battery. The battery lives in the device, so when we talk about charging we mean the device, and when we talk about flavour, coil behaviour and longevity we mean the pod.

Key facts at a glance:

  • Brand: MVP
  • Format: prefilled replacement pod (pod refill), not a standalone device
  • Flavour: strawberry watermelon, a sweet fruit blend without a menthol finish
  • Headline rating: 20K, which is the manufacturer's puff-rating label and needs careful reading (see the performance section)
  • Pod capacity: UK rules cap the e-liquid capacity of a pod or tank at 2ml, and refill bottles at 10ml
  • Nicotine: UK maximum of 20mg/ml (2%) for nicotine vaping products, including the disposables that used to be sold; available strengths vary by listing, so check the variant you select
  • Intended users: adults aged 18 and over only

This page is written to give you a straight picture rather than a sales pitch. Where a figure is a manufacturer claim, we say so. Where a figure is typical for the category rather than confirmed for this exact pod, we say that too. Where the answer depends on the pack in your hand, we point you to the pack. Vaping products contain nicotine, which is addictive, and they are intended for adult smokers and existing vapers, not for young people or people who have never smoked.

Performance and puff delivery: how to read the 20K figure

The 20K in the name is a puff rating. Puff ratings are produced by manufacturers using machine-draw testing at a fixed puff volume and duration, and they are best treated as a ceiling under ideal conditions rather than a promise. Real-life use varies with how long you draw, how often you puff, the power the device delivers and how full the pod is.

There is also a practical point worth being upfront about. UK rules cap pod and tank capacity at 2ml. Using the commonly quoted rule of thumb of around 200 to 400 puffs per millilitre for pod systems of this type, a single 2ml pod works out at roughly 400 to 800 puffs for most people. A single 2ml pod cannot realistically deliver 20,000 puffs. So before you buy, check the listing and the pack to see what the 20K actually refers to: a multi-pod pack, the combined total across the pods supplied, or a headline figure for the wider MVP system. Treat any single-pod figure that looks inflated with some scepticism, whichever brand it comes from.

What affects real-world puff delivery:

  • Draw length: long, slow draws use more liquid per puff than short, gentle ones.
  • Nicotine strength: people on higher strengths tend to take fewer puffs, while people on lower strengths often puff more frequently.
  • Device power setting: a higher output vaporises more liquid per second and shortens pod life.
  • Puff spacing: chaining puffs without a pause heats the coil more and uses liquid faster than spaced use.
  • Storage: a pod kept upright and at room temperature wicks more evenly than one left in a hot car or a pocket.

In use, a pod of this type should give a smooth, consistent draw from the first few puffs after priming. Vapour volume is moderate rather than cloud-chasing, which suits mouth-to-lung use. Flavour is normally steady for most of the pod's life, then thins out in the last 10 to 15 percent of the liquid. That fade is your cue to swap, and it is better to change the pod at that point than to push on and risk a harsh, dry-tasting draw.

The most useful number is your own. Write down the day you fit a pod and the day you swap it, and after two or three pods you will know your personal average. That figure tells you far more about cost and longevity than any headline puff count.

Flavour profile: strawberry and watermelon

Strawberry watermelon is a pairing that works because the two fruits sit at different ends of the sweetness range. The strawberry is the first thing you notice on the inhale: a rounded, jammy sweetness with a slightly tart edge. The watermelon follows behind it, lighter and juicier, with the clean, slightly watery sweetness you get from the pink flesh of the fruit rather than the rind. On the exhale the two blend into a soft, sweet finish that lingers for a moment on the palate.

There is no ice or menthol in the name, so expect a warm fruit profile rather than a cold finish. If you want a chill on the exhale, look at the cooled variants of this fruit pairing instead. If you find menthol harsh on the throat, the plain version is the gentler option.

What to expect from the flavour over the life of a pod:

  • First few puffs: slightly muted while the wick saturates. This is normal and settles within a minute or two.
  • Middle of the pod: the clearest and most balanced flavour, with both fruits distinguishable.
  • Last stretch: sweetness can start to dominate and the fruit notes flatten as the coil works with less liquid. Swap the pod when you notice this.

Sweet fruit flavours rely on sweeteners and flavour concentrates that can leave a residue on the coil over time. That is why chain vaping a fruit pod often tastes burnt sooner than a lightly used one. Leaving a short gap between puffs keeps the flavour cleaner for longer.

Many vapers also notice flavour fatigue, where a favourite flavour seems to dull after a few days of constant use. If that happens, rotating between two flavours, or taking a day with water and a different pod, usually brings the sensitivity back. It is a taste-bud effect, not a fault with the pod.

Design and build quality of the pod

Prefilled pods in this class are normally moulded from a clear or tinted plastic with an integrated mouthpiece, a sealed fill channel, metal contact points on the base and a small silicone seal around the airflow path. The aim is a single part that is easy to handle, hard to spill and quick to swap. We describe those features as typical of the category, so check the pack in your hand for anything specific to this variant.

What to check when you open the pack:

  • Tamper seal and wrapping: the pod should arrive sealed. Do not use a pod that arrives open, cracked or visibly leaking.
  • Contact pins or plates: these should be clean and undamaged, because they carry power from the device to the coil.
  • Fit: the pod should seat in the device with a clear click and no wobble. A pod that rattles or sits proud of the housing is not making full contact.
  • Liquid level: if the pod has a window, you should see liquid close to the top at the start. This also lets you judge when it is running low.
  • Mouthpiece: it should be clean, smooth and free of moulding flash.

On handling, a prefilled pod is lighter and simpler than a refillable one because there is no fill port to seal. That removes a common source of leaks, but it also means the pod is a single-purpose part. You cannot top it up, and trying to open or refill a sealed pod risks damaging the seal and the coil, so don't.

Leak resistance depends on how the pod is treated as much as how it is made. Pressure changes on flights, heat in a car and long periods lying on its side can all push liquid into the airflow path. Store the device upright where you can, keep it out of direct sun, and give it a moment before the first draw if it has been somewhere warm or cold.

Overall, the build expectation for a pod at this level is a tidy, functional part rather than a premium one. It is made to be used and replaced, not kept, and it should be judged on whether it seals, seats and delivers consistent flavour, not on how it looks on a shelf.

Battery and charging: what applies to the device

The pod has no battery of its own. Power comes from the MVP device the pod clicks into, so every battery question comes down to that device. Pod-system batteries in this size class are typically somewhere between about 400 and 1,000 mAh. The exact figure for your device is printed on its packaging or product listing, and you should rely on that rather than on a general number.

A rough guide to what that means in practice: a 2ml pod is somewhere in the region of 400 to 800 puffs, and a battery in the middle of the range above will often cover part of a pod to one pod on a full charge, depending on the power setting and your puffing style. Plan on charging the device at least every day or two with regular use, and top it up before a long day out rather than waiting for it to die.

Charging guidance:

  • Charge via USB-C where the device has a USB-C port, using a standard 5V charger or a computer port. A reputable brand charger is a safer choice than an unbranded one.
  • Use the cable supplied, or a good quality replacement. Avoid frayed, bent or damaged cables.
  • Do not charge under a pillow, on a sofa cushion or on any soft surface, and do not leave a device charging unattended overnight.
  • Unplug once the charge indicator shows full. Lithium cells last longer when they are not held at 100 percent for hours.
  • Do not use the device while it is charging unless the manufacturer says it is designed for that.

Battery safety matters more than most people think. UK fire services and Trading Standards regularly warn about lithium cells that overheat when damaged, charged badly or carried loose with keys and coins. If the device becomes unusually hot, swells, smells of burning or is visibly damaged, stop using it, unplug it and move it somewhere safe and non-flammable. Do not leave it in a hot car.

When the device finally reaches the end of its life, do not put it in a general waste bin. It contains a lithium battery and must go to a proper electrical recycling point (covered in the safety and recycling section below).

Coil and mesh technology

Modern prefilled pods commonly use a mesh coil rather than a traditional round-wire coil. A mesh coil is a thin, flat sheet of resistance material with a large number of tiny openings, usually backed by an organic cotton wick. Because the sheet is flat and wide, it covers far more surface area than a wire does, so it heats the e-liquid more evenly and with fewer hot spots. This is the approach we describe for this pod, as it is the norm for the category. Treat resistance and wattage figures as typical rather than confirmed unless the pack states them.

Why mesh is used in pod systems:

  • Even heating: a larger heated area means the liquid vaporises more uniformly, which tends to give steadier flavour from puff to puff.
  • Quick response: the coil reaches working temperature fast, so the first draw after a pause is usually clean.
  • Efficient use of power: pod coils in this style typically sit in the region of 0.8 to 1.2 ohms and run at modest wattage, which suits a small battery.
  • Consistent wicking: the cotton behind the mesh draws liquid across the whole surface instead of one narrow strip.

On the downside, mesh is not immune to wear. Sweet e-liquids like strawberry watermelon leave caramelised residue on the surface, which slowly reduces flavour and can produce a burnt note late in a pod's life. Because the coil is built into the pod, you never have to replace it separately. The whole pod is the consumable, and a fresh coil comes with every new pod.

Dry hits are the other risk. If the cotton is not saturated, or the pod is almost empty, the coil heats without enough liquid to vaporise and you get a sharp, scorched taste. Give a new pod a minute or two to wick before the first puff, take shorter draws, and stop using a pod that tastes burnt rather than trying to power through it.

Nicotine strength guidance for UK vapers

UK law caps nicotine in vaping products at 20mg/ml, which is 2 percent. That limit applies to pods, refill liquids and the disposables that used to be sold, so you will not find anything stronger on a legitimate UK listing. Pod products of this type are commonly made with nicotine salts, which give a smoother throat feel than freebase nicotine at the same strength. Strengths on offer vary by variant, so check the one you select. Typical options in the UK market are 10mg/ml and 20mg/ml, and some ranges also include lower or nicotine-free choices.

A sensible way to pick a strength:

  • Lighter or occasional smokers, or people moving to vaping from a few cigarettes a day: a lower strength, such as 10mg/ml, is usually enough.
  • Regular smokers coming off a pack a day or more: 20mg/ml is the most common starting point, because it is the closest to what the body is used to receiving.
  • Existing vapers cutting down: step down one strength at a time and give it a couple of weeks before reassessing.

Signs you may be on too high a strength: coughing, a harsh throat hit, light-headedness, nausea or a racing heart after a few puffs. Signs you may be too low: constant puffing, cravings that don't settle, or going back to cigarettes between pods. The right strength is the lowest one that keeps cravings manageable without making you feel unwell.

Strength does not change the pod's capacity, but it does change how you use it. People on higher strengths usually take fewer puffs, which can make a pod last longer. People on lower strengths often puff more, which can shorten it.

Nicotine is addictive. If you have a heart condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take regular medication, speak to your GP or pharmacist before using any nicotine product. Local stop-smoking services can also help if you want support to quit nicotine altogether. This page does not give medical advice.

Who these pods are for, and who should skip them

These pods are aimed at adult smokers and existing vapers who want a sealed, low-effort pod with a familiar fruit flavour. If you want to open a pack, click a pod in and get on with your day, this format is built for that.

They tend to suit:

  • Adults switching from cigarettes who want a straightforward format with no liquid to handle.
  • Existing MVP device owners who need a replacement pod in a fruit flavour.
  • People who dislike refilling, spillage and sticky fingers.
  • Fruit flavour fans who prefer a sweet, juicy profile to tobacco or menthol.
  • Vapers who want predictable swaps, where each pod arrives with a fresh coil and a known amount of liquid.

They are less suited to:

  • Anyone under 18. It is illegal to sell nicotine vaping products to under-18s in the UK, and we do not want your custom.
  • Non-smokers. If you have never smoked, there is no reason to start using nicotine.
  • People who want the lowest running cost. A refillable pod kit with bottled nicotine salts is usually cheaper per millilitre over time.
  • Cloud chasers. A small pod system is designed for mouth-to-lung use, not large vapour volume.
  • Anyone unsure about compatibility. These are replacement pods, so they only work in a device they are made for. Confirm your device first.

If you are not sure whether this is the right format, a refillable pod kit gives you more control, while a prefilled pod gives you more convenience. Neither is wrong. It comes down to whether you value choice or simplicity.

How to use the pods

Using a prefilled pod is simple, but a few habits make a real difference to flavour and pod life. Follow the manufacturer's instructions that come with your device, and use this as a general guide.

  • Step 1 - Check compatibility: confirm the pod is made for your MVP device before you open the pack.
  • Step 2 - Inspect the pod: look at the seal, contacts and liquid level. Do not use a pod that is cracked or leaking.
  • Step 3 - Remove the old pod: switch the device off if it has a power control, then pull the spent pod straight out.
  • Step 4 - Fit the new pod: line it up and press until it clicks fully into place.
  • Step 5 - Let it wick: wait a minute or two so the cotton can saturate before your first puff.
  • Step 6 - Take gentle draws: two to three seconds per puff, with a short pause between, is plenty. You do not need to pull hard.
  • Step 7 - Swap when the flavour fades: when the taste thins, the draw gets harsh or the liquid sits low, replace the pod.

A few other habits are worth building in. Keep the device upright when you can. Do not try to refill a prefilled pod. Wash your hands after swapping pods, because there may be residual liquid on the contacts. Store spare pods in their packaging at room temperature, out of direct sunlight and well away from children and pets. Nicotine liquid is harmful if swallowed or if it gets on the skin or in the eyes.

If you are new to pod devices, start with short puffs and notice how your throat and head feel before settling into a routine. If you feel dizzy or sick, stop and put the device down.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most pod problems have a simple cause and a simple fix. Work through these before assuming the pod is faulty.

  • No vapour or no response: check the battery has charge, the pod is fully seated and the contacts are clean. Remove the pod, wipe the contacts with a dry cloth and refit it.
  • Device flashes or shows a pod error: this normally means poor contact or a pod that doesn't suit the device. Re-seat it. If it persists, try a different pod to find out whether the pod or the device is at fault.
  • Weak flavour from a new pod: it may not have wicked yet. Wait a couple of minutes, then take a few gentle draws without chaining them.
  • Burnt or scorched taste: the coil is running dry or has worn out. Replace the pod. Do not keep going on a burnt one, because it tastes unpleasant and the draw can irritate your throat.
  • Gurgling or spitting: excess liquid has pooled in the airflow path. Remove the pod, tap the mouthpiece gently on a tissue, and let it sit upright for a few minutes.
  • Leaking: look for cracks or a poorly seated pod. Avoid heat and pressure changes and wipe the contacts and device clean. A pod that keeps leaking should be replaced.
  • Device not charging: try another cable and another power source. Check the port for lint or debris and clean it gently with something non-metallic.
  • Device gets hot: stop using it, unplug it and leave it somewhere safe to cool. If it happens again, stop using the device and contact the supplier.
  • Harsh throat hit: try shorter draws, a lower strength on your next pod or a pause between puffs.

If you have tried these steps and the pod still doesn't work, keep the packaging and your order details and get in touch. Faulty goods are covered by your statutory rights, and we would rather sort it out than have you struggle with a dud.

Value for money and how it compares

With prefilled pods, the best way to judge value is by cost per millilitre and cost per day, not by the puff number printed on the pack. Divide the pod price by its capacity (2ml in the UK) to get a cost per ml. Then divide the pod price by the number of days one pod lasts you to get a cost per day. Both figures are more reliable than a headline puff rating.

Honest points on cost:

  • Per millilitre, prefilled pods cost more than bottled nicotine salts used in a refillable kit. You are paying for convenience and a fresh coil with every pod.
  • Per day, the gap is often smaller than people expect, particularly if you were buying disposables or replacing coils frequently.
  • Multi-pack deals usually lower the cost per pod. Check whether the 20K label refers to a multi-pod pack, as that changes the maths.
  • Compared with cigarettes, most regular smokers find vaping cheaper, but your own numbers are the ones that matter.

How it compares, where fair:

  • Closed-pod brands such as Vuse ePod: a similar prefilled approach with wide retail availability and a simple device. The trade-off is a locked system and a narrower flavour range than some competitors.
  • Refillable pod kits such as Oxva Xlim or Voopoo Vmate: cheaper to run and open to many e-liquid brands, but you handle liquid, and leaks are more likely if you overfill.
  • Smok Novo-style systems: flexible and widely available, with both prefilled and refillable pods in some ranges. Pod compatibility between generations can be confusing.
  • Rechargeable pod ranges from Elf Bar and Lost Mary: similar convenience and strong flavour choice, though the pods are brand-specific.

Since 1 June 2025, single-use disposable vapes can no longer be sold in the UK. Rechargeable devices with replaceable pods are the compliant way to get a similar experience, and a pod system also produces less waste than a bin full of whole disposables. That said, no pod system is a bargain if you buy the wrong pod for your device, so confirm compatibility first. If you want maximum control over flavour and cost, a refillable kit is the better fit. If you want low effort and a flavour you already like, a prefilled pod is a reasonable choice.

Storage, safety and recycling in the UK

A few simple habits keep pods and devices safe and keep them working. Store pods upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep every vaping product out of the reach of children and pets. Nicotine is harmful if swallowed or absorbed through the skin, and accidental exposure needs prompt medical advice.

Safe handling checklist:

  • Carry the device in a bag or case, not loose with keys, coins or other metal objects.
  • Keep spare pods in their packaging until you need them.
  • Wash your hands and wipe up any spilt liquid straight away.
  • Never vape where it is not allowed, and never in a car with children.
  • Do not modify, open or try to refill a sealed pod.

Recycling used pods and devices. Vapes and their parts should never go into household bins or kerbside recycling. The lithium battery in a device can start a fire inside a bin lorry or recycling plant. In the UK you have several options for responsible disposal:

  • Retailer take-back: shops that sell vaping products are required to take back waste vapes, so many will accept your used pods and devices, whether or not you bought them there.
  • Household waste recycling centres: most council tips have a small electricals or WEEE area, and many now have dedicated vape recycling bins.
  • Dedicated drop-off points: some supermarkets, convenience stores and vape shops host recycling bins. Look up your nearest point through your local council or a recycling locator.

Where you can, drain nothing, do not dismantle anything and put used pods in a bag before you carry them to a drop-off point so that any residual liquid doesn't leak. Treat the device and the pod as electrical waste and recycle them as such. For the pod itself, check with the drop-off point whether it accepts pods separately or only complete devices, as practice varies.

Finally, remember the age rules: the legal age to buy nicotine vaping products in the UK is 18, and we may ask you to verify your age when you order or on delivery.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Zero-mess flavour change — snap in, done
  • Consistent draw from a factory-primed coil
  • Long shelf-life, easy to travel with

Cons

  • Costs more per ml than freestanding e-liquid
  • Pods are proprietary to a specific device

Frequently asked questions

Which nicotine strength should I choose?

The UK maximum is 20mg/ml, and strengths available vary by variant, so check the one you select. Lighter smokers usually do well on a lower strength such as 10mg/ml, while regular smokers often start at 20mg/ml. Pick the lowest strength that keeps cravings under control without making you feel unwell.

Is the 20K puff count for a single pod?

UK rules limit a pod to 2ml of e-liquid, which realistically gives a few hundred puffs for most people, so 20K cannot describe a single pod. Check the listing and the pack to see what the figure refers to, such as a multi-pod pack or the wider system, and judge value by your own cost per day.

How do I charge it, and how often?

The pod has no battery, so you charge the MVP device it fits into, normally through a USB-C port with the supplied cable and a standard 5V charger. Most people charge every day or two, depending on device battery size and use. Do not charge unattended overnight or on soft surfaces.

Can I swap flavours, and are there other variants?

Yes, you can swap to any other compatible MVP pod whenever you like, and there is no need to finish a pod first. Fully remove the old pod, click the new one in and let it wick for a minute or two. Other flavours and strengths are listed on our site, and availability changes from time to time.

How long will a pod last?

It depends on your puffing style, nicotine strength and device power. A 2ml pod typically lasts most users from a day to a few days. Note the dates you fit and swap a pod, and after two or three you will have a reliable personal average.

Is it good value for money?

Prefilled pods cost more per millilitre than bottled liquid in a refillable kit, but you get convenience and a fresh coil with each pod. Divide the pod price by 2ml and by the number of days it lasts you to see the true cost. Multi-pack offers usually bring the per-pod price down.

Who should and shouldn't buy these pods?

They suit adult smokers and existing vapers who want a sealed, low-effort fruit pod for a compatible MVP device. They are not for anyone under 18, non-smokers, or people who are pregnant or have heart conditions without speaking to a doctor first. They also don't suit anyone who wants the lowest running costs, as a refillable kit is cheaper.

Do you deliver across the UK, and how do I recycle used pods?

We deliver to UK addresses, with delivery options and cut-off times shown at checkout, and we may ask you to confirm you are 18 or over. Used pods and devices should not go in household bins. Take them to a retailer take-back point, a council recycling centre or a dedicated vape recycling bin.

What is your warranty and returns policy?

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 cover faulty goods, so if a pod arrives defective, keep the packaging and contact us for a replacement or refund. For hygiene reasons, opened pods generally can't be returned unless they are faulty. Check our returns page for the exact terms and timescales.
