Overview

The Blue Razz Citrus Riot BAR Edition Nic Salts 10mg by Riot in Blue Razz Citrus at 20mg. Free UK delivery over £20, same-day dispatch on weekday orders before 4pm.

Overview: Riot BAR Edition Nic Salts 10mg Blue Razz Citrus

Riot BAR Edition Nic Salts 10mg Blue Razz Citrus is a 10ml bottle of nicotine salt e-liquid from Riot, designed to give you the flavour style of a bar-format disposable in a refillable bottle. The flavour is blue raspberry with a citrus edge, and the nicotine is a 10mg/ml salt, which sits at the gentler end of the nic salt range sold in the UK. It is aimed at vapers who like sweet, tangy, fruit-led profiles and who want to run them through a pod kit or small refillable device rather than throw a device away every few days.

It helps to be clear about what this product is, because the BAR Edition name can make people think it is a ready-to-use device. It is not. This is e-liquid only. You need a compatible refillable pod kit, pen-style device or similar low-power system to use it. Nothing in the bottle charges, heats or produces vapour on its own. The range exists partly because the sale of single-use disposable vapes was banned in Great Britain from 1 June 2025, and a large number of former disposable users moved to refillable kits and 10ml salt bottles as the practical replacement.

Here is what you get at a glance:

  • Product type: nicotine salt e-liquid, 10ml bottle
  • Nicotine strength: 10mg/ml, half of the UK legal maximum of 20mg/ml
  • Flavour: Blue Razz Citrus, a blue raspberry candy note with a tart citrus lift
  • Best used in: low-power refillable pod kits and pen-style devices, mouth-to-lung
  • Brand: Riot, in the BAR Edition salts line

On this page we cover how the flavour tastes, what 10mg feels like compared with 20mg, which devices and coils suit it, how to fill and prime your pod, what to do when something goes wrong, how long a bottle tends to last, and how it compares with similar bottles from other brands. We have written it for UK adult smokers and vapers. We keep the claims plain: nothing here is a medical claim, vaping is not risk free, and this product is only suitable for adults aged 18 and over who already smoke or vape. If you do not currently use nicotine, this is not for you.

Nicotine strength: what 10mg means and who it suits

Nicotine salts are made by combining nicotine with an acid, commonly benzoic acid, which lowers the pH of the liquid. The practical effect is a smoother throat hit at a given strength, which is why salts can be sold at higher concentrations than traditional freebase liquids without feeling harsh. In the UK the ceiling for any nicotine e-liquid is 20mg/ml, the same cap that applied to disposables before they were taken off the market. The 10mg in this bottle is exactly half of that ceiling.

In everyday terms, 10mg salt is a middle-of-the-road strength. It is enough for many light to moderate smokers to feel satisfied, and it is gentle enough that you can vape through a bottle at a normal pace without feeling overloaded. Because salts absorb quickly, the nicotine arrives faster than the same milligram figure in a freebase liquid would, so it is easy to underestimate how much you are taking in if you chain-vape on a high-output device.

A rough guide to choosing a strength:

  • 10mg salt suits lighter smokers (a few cigarettes a day up to roughly ten), people who vape throughout the day and want more flavour with less throat hit, and anyone stepping down from 20mg.
  • 20mg salt is more usual for people who were smoking a pack a day or more, or who find 10mg leaves them reaching for a cigarette within an hour or two.
  • Below 10mg is for people who are mostly vaping out of habit and want to reduce further.

Signs the strength is wrong for you are fairly easy to spot. If you are puffing constantly and still craving, you may need a higher strength or a slightly firmer draw. If you feel dizzy, queasy, get a headache, or have an unpleasant tight feeling in the chest, the strength or the power is too high, and you should stop, take a break and drop down. This is general vaping guidance, not medical advice. If you want help quitting smoking altogether, your pharmacist or local NHS stop smoking service can give personal support.

One more point: salts are designed for low-wattage devices. Running a 10mg salt at high power gives you a very large dose per puff and a hot, flat taste. Match the strength to the hardware, not just to your cravings.

Flavour profile: blue raspberry with a citrus lift

Blue raspberry is a sweet-shop flavour rather than a literal fruit. It is the bright, slightly tangy berry note associated with sweets, ice lollies and slush drinks, and it leans artificial in a deliberate and pleasant way. Riot pairs it here with citrus, which gives the profile a sharper edge and stops it collapsing into a flat sugary taste. The name points towards lemon or lime style acidity, and that is how most people read it on the palate.

How the flavour tends to unfold across a single puff:

  • On the inhale: a sweet, candy-like berry note arrives first, with a light tartness behind it.
  • Mid-draw: the citrus comes forward, brightening the berry and adding a clean, slightly sour edge.
  • On the exhale: a soft blue raspberry sweetness lingers, with the citrus fading quickly rather than sitting heavy on the tongue.
  • Aftertaste: short and fairly clean, with a faint sweetness rather than a syrupy coating.

The product title does not mention ice, menthol or any cooling additive, so we treat this as a fruit-first flavour rather than a cold one. Some sweet-berry liquids carry a mild cooling effect even when it is not in the name, so if a cool finish matters to you, ask us before you buy and we will point you towards a variant that states it clearly. If you want to add an icy edge yourself, the safest route is to buy a separate cooling variant and use it in a different pod rather than mixing liquids in one tank.

This profile suits people who like fruit drinks, sour sweets and the more tart end of the bar-style flavours. It is less suited to anyone who prefers tobacco, creamy desserts, or very subtle flavours. If you have vaped other blue raspberry liquids and found them cloying, the citrus component here makes this one more refreshing across a long day, because the tartness resets your palate between puffs and slows the sweetness fatigue that sets in with heavily sweetened e-liquids.

Flavour intensity is also affected by your device. A new coil at a sensible wattage gives the clearest, brightest version of this profile. A tired coil gives a muted version that tastes more sweet and less fruity.

Performance: throat hit, vapour and day-to-day use

With a 10mg salt in a typical pod kit, you should expect a soft to moderate throat hit, a smooth draw and a modest cloud of vapour. Salts are not built for volume. They are built for flavour and nicotine delivery at low power, which is exactly the experience people were getting from bar-format disposables. If you are coming from a sub-ohm tank and a high-VG freebase liquid, the vapour will look noticeably thinner, and that is normal rather than a fault.

For most users the performance points that matter are these:

  • Throat hit: light to medium at 10mg. Smoother than a 10mg freebase and noticeably gentler than 20mg salt.
  • Draw style: mouth-to-lung, meaning you draw into your mouth first and then inhale. This is the style salts are designed for.
  • Vapour: moderate. Enough to see and enough to carry flavour, without the heavy plumes of a high-power setup.
  • Flavour delivery: clearest in the first few puffs after a pause, then gradually settling as the coil warms.
  • Nicotine delivery: quick and fairly smooth, which is why many ex-smokers find salts easier to switch to than freebase.

In regular use, a 10ml bottle in a small pod kit will see you through a good stretch of days. The exact figure depends on your device, your wattage and how often you vape, and we go into estimates in the value section below. What we can say is that a salt liquid should be consumed at a measured pace. If you find you are using far more than expected, check whether the coil is flooding or whether your power setting is too high for the resistance of the coil.

It is also worth being realistic about consistency. Every salt liquid will taste slightly different in different hardware. Mesh coils tend to give a rounder, fuller version of a fruity flavour, while smaller round-wire coils give a crisper, sharper version. Neither is wrong. If you do not love the flavour in one device, try it in another before deciding the liquid is the problem.

Bottle design, packaging and build quality

The liquid is supplied in a 10ml plastic bottle with a narrow, long nozzle. That nozzle is the part most people notice first, because it is what lets you fill the small pod ports on modern kits without spilling. UK rules limit nicotine e-liquid bottles to 10ml, require child-resistant closures and tamper-evident seals, and require clear health warnings and ingredient information on the label. Riot's BAR Edition bottles follow that format, and the label carries the flavour name, strength and the standard nicotine warning.

What to check when your bottle arrives:

  • Tamper-evident ring: the ring around the cap should be intact before you open the bottle for the first time.
  • Label details: flavour name, 10mg/ml strength, batch number and best-before date should be legible. Keep the batch number if you ever need to contact us about a bottle.
  • Nozzle condition: the tip should be straight and open, not crushed or blocked.
  • Weight and fill level: a 10ml bottle will usually look slightly under-full because of the air space UK rules and manufacturing practice allow for.

The design leans on bright, colour-matched artwork in the BAR Edition style, which makes it easy to tell flavours apart in a drawer or bag. That sounds like a small point, but when you are running more than one flavour, it prevents mix-ups. Always keep bottles closed when not in use, and keep them in a cool place away from direct sunlight and heat. A car dashboard or windowsill is a poor place to store any e-liquid, because heat and light degrade flavour and can alter the liquid over time.

For safety, nicotine e-liquid should be stored out of reach of children and pets. A spilled bottle of nic salt on skin can be absorbed, so wash any contact area with water straight away. Empty plastic bottles can generally be recycled with your normal household plastics once rinsed and capped, but check your local council guidance, since rules vary. Do not tip leftover liquid down a sink in large amounts.

Battery and charging: matching the liquid to your device

Because this is an e-liquid, there is no battery in the box. The battery that matters is the one in the device you pair it with, and the choice is worth thinking about because salts behave best with a modest, steady power supply. Most refillable pod kits that suit nic salts carry a built-in battery somewhere in the range of roughly 400mAh to 1000mAh, with a charging port on the base, usually USB-C on newer models and micro-USB on older ones.

Some practical guidance on what to look for:

  • Battery capacity: a 500mAh to 800mAh pod kit will typically get a light to moderate user through a day. Heavier users often prefer 1000mAh or above so they are not charging mid-afternoon.
  • Output style: draw-activated kits with no buttons are the simplest and are closest to the disposable experience. Adjustable-wattage kits give more control but need a bit more care with salts.
  • Charging port: USB-C is more convenient and charges faster in most cases.
  • Pass-through use: some kits can be vaped while charging. We would avoid doing this, since it can heat the device and shorten battery life.

Basic charging habits keep the battery healthy and safe. Use the cable that came with the device or a reputable replacement, plug it into a standard phone-style USB adapter or computer port, and do not leave the device charging unattended overnight. If the casing feels very hot, bulges, or smells odd, stop using it and take it away from flammable material. Never use a damaged cable or leave the device on a soft surface such as a bed or sofa while it charges.

When the device finally reaches the end of its life, do not put it in a household bin. Vapes and vape batteries contain lithium cells that can cause fires in waste lorries and recycling plants. In the UK, you can take old devices to a retailer that offers take-back, or to a household waste recycling centre that accepts small electricals. Many council sites and supermarkets now have dedicated drop-off points for waste vapes. Using them keeps the cells out of landfill and is the right thing to do whichever brand of liquid you buy.

Coil and mesh technology: what suits a 10mg salt

The coil is the heating element inside your pod or tank, and it has a bigger effect on how this liquid tastes than most people expect. Nicotine salts are intended for coils with higher resistance, because higher resistance means lower power and less heat, and less heat means a smoother, more controlled nicotine delivery. As a rule of thumb, coils between about 0.8 and 1.2 ohms are the sweet spot for salts in a mouth-to-lung setup, though some modern kits use 0.6 ohm mesh coils and run them at low wattage.

The main coil types you are likely to meet:

  • Round-wire coils (about 1.0 to 1.2 ohm): crisp flavour, lower vapour, longer battery life. A good match for 20mg salt and for people who want something close to a cigarette draw.
  • Mesh coils (about 0.6 to 1.0 ohm): a flat mesh screen that heats a larger surface of the cotton. This gives a fuller, rounder flavour and slightly more vapour, and it is the style most bar-format disposables used. It works well with a fruity profile like Blue Razz Citrus.
  • Ceramic coils: found in some pod kits. They tend to last well and give a clean taste, though they can be a little muted on very sweet liquids.

For 10mg salt, we suggest starting with a mesh coil around 0.8 to 1.0 ohm if your device supports it. That combination usually shows the tangy citrus note clearly and gives enough vapour for an easy, satisfying draw. If you find the nicotine hits harder than you want, move to a higher-resistance coil or lower the wattage.

Coil life depends on how much you vape and how sweet the liquid is. Sweet, sugary-leaning liquids can leave residue on the coil, which dulls flavour over time. A coil often lasts one to two weeks in typical use, though this varies. Signs it is time to change: flavour fades, the draw turns harsh, or you notice a burnt taste even with a freshly filled pod. Always prime a new coil before use, which means letting the liquid soak into the cotton for several minutes, otherwise you risk a dry hit that can damage it from the first puff.

Who this liquid is for, and who should skip it

Riot BAR Edition Blue Razz Citrus at 10mg is built for a specific kind of vaper. It is a reasonable fit if you recognise yourself in the list below.

  • Current smokers who want to switch and smoke a light to moderate amount. 10mg is often a comfortable starting point for them.
  • Former disposable users who liked bar-style fruit flavours and want a refillable setup after the single-use ban.
  • Existing vapers stepping down from 20mg salt who want to cut their nicotine intake gradually.
  • People who value flavour and prefer a smoother, sweeter profile over a heavy throat hit.
  • Anyone running a simple pod kit and wanting an easy, low-effort liquid with no mixing or steeping.

It is probably not the right choice in these cases:

  • Anyone under 18, and anyone who does not already use nicotine. Nicotine is addictive and this product should never be used as a way to start.
  • Heavy smokers on twenty or more cigarettes a day, who often find 10mg leaves them unsatisfied and who may do better with 20mg.
  • Sub-ohm and cloud-chasing users, since a 10mg salt in a high-power setup is the wrong tool and will deliver far too much nicotine too fast.
  • People who dislike sweet or sour flavours, or who want a tobacco, menthol or dessert profile.
  • Anyone pregnant, breastfeeding, or with a heart or blood pressure condition, who should talk to a doctor or pharmacist first.

We also want to be straightforward about the wider picture. Vaping is widely regarded as less harmful than smoking for adult smokers who switch completely, but it is not harmless, and the long-term effects are still being studied. The best outcome for your health is to stop using nicotine altogether if you can. If you are a non-smoker, please do not start, and if you are a parent buying for someone under 18, please do not. Age verification is required on all orders and you may be asked to confirm your age on delivery.

How to fill, prime and use your pod

Using a nic salt bottle is simple, but a few steps make a big difference to flavour and to how long your coil lasts. Here is the routine we recommend for a typical refillable pod kit.

  • Step 1, prepare: wash and dry your hands and turn the device off or unplug it from the charger. Give the bottle a gentle shake.
  • Step 2, open the pod: remove the mouthpiece or open the fill port. Check which hole is the fill port and which is the air vent, since filling into the wrong one causes leaks.
  • Step 3, fill: push the bottle nozzle into the fill port and squeeze slowly. Stop at or just below the maximum line. Do not overfill, and do not cover the central airflow tube.
  • Step 4, close up: refit the plug or mouthpiece firmly and wipe away any liquid from the outside.
  • Step 5, prime: stand the pod upright and wait five to ten minutes so the cotton in the coil can soak up the liquid. New coils need the full ten minutes.
  • Step 6, first puffs: take two or three short, gentle draws without pressing a fire button hard. If the flavour is clear and there is no dry or burnt taste, you are good to go.

Everyday use tips:

  • Use slow, steady draws of around two to three seconds. Short, sharp pulls can cause gurgling and leaks.
  • Top up when the pod is about a third full rather than letting it run completely dry. Running dry is the main cause of burnt coils.
  • Keep the device upright when you are not using it, and store it somewhere cool.
  • If you change flavours, rinse the pod with warm water, dry it fully, and fit a fresh coil if the old one still holds the previous taste.

On liquid strength and device settings, if your kit is adjustable, begin at the lower end of the recommended wattage and move up only if the flavour is weak. Salts taste best a little cooler, and most users end up happier at lower settings than they initially expected.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with salt liquids come from the hardware, not the liquid. Before deciding a bottle is faulty, run through the checks below.

  • Burnt or acrid taste: usually a dry or worn coil. Refill the pod, wait ten minutes, and try again. If the taste stays, replace the coil.
  • Weak or washed-out flavour: often coil fatigue. Sweet liquids leave residue, so try a fresh coil. Also check that the pod is not running low, and that you are not vaping at too high a wattage, which can mute flavour.
  • Gurgling or spitting: too much liquid around the coil, usually from overfilling or very fast draws. Wipe the mouthpiece, tilt the device slightly, and take slower draws.
  • Leaking from the pod or base: check the pod seal, make sure you used the correct fill port, and do not fill past the max line. A cracked pod needs replacing. Changes in air pressure on flights can also push liquid out, so carry kits empty when travelling.
  • No vapour or no response: check the battery charge, the connection between pod and battery, and whether the coil has been primed. Wipe the contacts with a dry cloth.
  • Throat hit too strong: lower the wattage, use a higher-resistance coil, or switch to a lower-strength liquid.
  • Throat hit too weak: make sure the coil is properly primed, try a slightly tighter draw, or consider moving up to 20mg.
  • Dizziness, nausea or headache: stop vaping, drink water, get fresh air and take a break. Lower your strength or power before you try again.
  • Sticky bottle neck or dried residue: wipe the nozzle clean after each fill so the cap does not seize.

If you have worked through these steps and the liquid still tastes wrong, with an off smell, unusual colour or separation, stop using it and get in touch with your order number and the batch code from the label. We will look into it. Sealed bottles last a long time when stored properly, but liquids that have been left in heat or sunlight can change.

Value for money and how long a bottle lasts

Value with a 10ml nic salt is mostly about cost per day compared with the alternatives, and for most people a refillable setup works out cheaper than a run of disposables, even after you include the occasional coil or pod. We do not quote a fixed figure here because prices on our store move, so check the price shown on this page at the time you order.

How long does 10ml actually last? Here is a reasonable way to work it out. Many pod-kit users consume somewhere between one and two millilitres of salt liquid per day, depending on their device, their wattage and how much they were smoking before. At that rate, a 10ml bottle lasts roughly five to ten days. A lighter user who vapes mainly when out or after meals could stretch it to two weeks. A heavy user on a larger pod may go through it faster. These are estimates, not guarantees, and your own results will vary.

Where the cost sits:

  • The liquid: one bottle per week or so for a typical user.
  • Coils or pods: replace roughly every one to two weeks, so factor one coil per bottle or so.
  • The device: a one-off cost that can last for months if looked after, and which can be recycled at the end.

Compared with a single-use bar that held about two millilitres of liquid, a 10ml bottle contains around five times as much liquid, and you keep the device. The flavour range is also wider, because you can change liquid without buying new hardware. The trade-off is convenience: you have to fill, prime and maintain the kit yourself.

Where you can save more: buy two or three bottles at a time if a multi-buy is available, keep the same flavour across a couple of coils to avoid wasting liquid when rinsing, and store the bottle well so it does not spoil. Also, avoid running a salt at high power, since that is the single biggest cause of wasted liquid and burnt coils.

How it compares with similar bottles

Blue raspberry with citrus is a crowded corner of the market, so it is fair to ask how this stacks up against alternatives. Here is an honest, brand-neutral view based on how these ranges are generally positioned.

  • Elfliq (Elf Bar group) 10ml salts: these are designed to echo Elf Bar disposable flavours. If you are trying to recreate one specific Elf Bar flavour, Elfliq is likely to be the closer match. Riot's BAR Edition is aimed at the same bar-style flavour territory but is its own interpretation.
  • IVG Salts and similar mainstream 10ml ranges: broad flavour lists, consistent quality and wide availability. Some people find their fruit profiles a little sweeter and less sharp than a citrus-forward liquid like this one.
  • Nasty Salt and other cult brands: often more complex, sometimes with a bolder throat feel. Better if you want a very distinctive taste, though usually not as closely matched to the disposable experience.
  • Freebase 50/50 or shortfill liquids: cheaper per millilitre and better suited to sub-ohm tanks, but not a good match for pod kits and typically a harsher hit at nicotine levels that satisfy smokers.
  • The same liquid at 20mg: if you were using bar-style disposables at the 20mg limit, 20mg salt is the like-for-like step. The 10mg version is for those who want less.

Where Riot's BAR Edition tends to do well is in being easy and recognisable. The flavours are straightforward, the bottle is standard, and the nicotine strength options let you choose a suitable level. Where it may fall short is in subtlety. If you are the kind of vaper who likes layered, evolving flavours or highly specific profiles, a boutique brand may suit you better.

The honest summary is that this is a sensible, mainstream choice for bar-style fruit flavour at moderate strength. It is not trying to be a boutique liquid, and it is better judged on whether you like the flavour and whether it works in your device. If you are unsure, buying a single bottle first is a low-risk way to find out before committing to more.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Best value per ml in the category
  • Choose your own device and coil
  • Available in a wide strength ladder

Cons

  • Refilling can leak if you overfill
  • Coil priming has a small learning curve
  • You handle the bottle — less discreet than pods

Customer Buying Tips

  • Match the strength to how much you smoked: 20+/day → 10-20 mg nic salt; 10/day → 10 mg; under 5/day → 3-6 mg freebase.
  • Match the ratio to your device: pod kits take 50/50, sub-ohm tanks take 70/30 shortfill.
  • Don't overfill: leaving the airhole clear prevents gurgling and leaking.
  • Shake before use so the nicotine and flavour integrate evenly.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg nic salt?

10mg suits lighter smokers, people who vape throughout the day and anyone stepping down from 20mg. Heavier smokers who got through around a pack a day usually find 20mg more satisfying. If you are unsure, start at 10mg and move up only if you are still craving within an hour or two.

Does this bottle need charging, and how do I charge my device?

The bottle itself needs no charging because it is only e-liquid. Your pod kit or pen device has the battery, and you charge it using its own USB cable, ideally with a standard phone-style adapter. Do not leave it charging unattended overnight, and recycle old devices at a drop-off point rather than putting them in household waste.

Can I swap to other flavours or mix this with other liquids?

Yes, you can swap flavours at any time. Rinse the pod, let it dry, and ideally fit a fresh coil so the old taste does not carry over. We would not recommend mixing different liquids in the same pod, because the result is unpredictable and it can shorten coil life. Browse the other Riot BAR Edition flavours on our store to find a variant you like.

How long will a 10ml bottle last?

Most pod-kit users get through 1 to 2ml a day, so a bottle often lasts around 5 to 10 days. Lighter users may stretch it to two weeks. It depends heavily on your device, your power setting and how often you vape.

Is it good value compared with disposables?

For most regular users, yes. A 10ml bottle holds about five times the liquid of a typical single-use bar, and you keep the device and recycle it later. You do need to budget for replacement coils or pods every week or two, which narrows the gap but usually still comes out cheaper over a month.

Who should and should not buy this?

It is for adult smokers and vapers who want a bar-style blue raspberry and citrus flavour at a moderate strength. It is not for anyone under 18, non-smokers, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or people with heart conditions without medical advice. It is also a poor fit for sub-ohm, high-power setups.

Can I use it in a sub-ohm tank or any device?

It is designed for low-power mouth-to-lung devices such as refillable pod kits and pen-style vapes. Using a salt at high wattage in a sub-ohm tank delivers a large dose of nicotine very quickly and tastes harsh. Stick to coils of around 0.6 to 1.2 ohm at low wattage.

Do you deliver across the UK?

Yes, we deliver to UK addresses. Delivery options and costs are shown at checkout, and you may be asked to confirm that you are 18 or over on order or on delivery. Our delivery page has the latest details on timings.

What is your returns and warranty policy on e-liquid?
