SKE Crystal CL6000 Prefilled Pods and Refill Containers Fresh Menthol Mojito: what you are buying

SKE Crystal CL6000 Prefilled Pods and Refill Containers Fresh Menthol Mojito is a nicotine salt prefilled pod for the SKE Crystal CL6000 system. It is rated at 6,000 puffs, comes in 10mg and 20mg strengths, and is priced at £5.49 per pod. Within the CL6000 range it is the mint and menthol option, sitting among flavours that otherwise lean towards fruit, ice and sour profiles. This page is written for UK adults who smoke or already vape, and it sets out what we can say with confidence, what we have chosen not to claim, and how to decide whether this pod suits you.

Pod systems occupy a particular slot in the UK market. A pod is a sealed cartridge that holds e-liquid and a coil, and it clips into a reusable, rechargeable device. When a pod runs out you replace the pod rather than the whole product, which is the practical difference from a single-use disposable. Since the ban on single-use vapes took effect in June 2025, prefilled pod formats such as this one have become a common route for adults who liked the grab-and-go simplicity of a disposable but want something that creates less waste.

Here is the short factual summary of the listing:

  • Product: SKE Crystal CL6000 Prefilled Pods and Refill Containers, Fresh Menthol Mojito flavour
  • Format: prefilled pod, nicotine salt e-liquid
  • Puff rating: 6,000 (a manufacturer's rating, real use varies)
  • Strengths: 10mg and 20mg
  • Price: £5.49 per pod, with a listed multibuy of four for £23 (read the value section before relying on it)
  • Brand: SKE, which has a large catalogue on this site

Just as important is what is missing from that list. We have not verified the battery capacity of the CL6000 device, the e-liquid volume of the pod, the coil resistance or the charging time, so we do not print numbers for them. Where later sections touch on those topics, they explain how the category normally works and tell you where to check the pack. Stock is sourced through UK distributors, and every order is age-checked before it ships.

Puff delivery: what 6,000 puffs means in real use

A puff rating is a manufacturer's estimate, usually produced under machine conditions with a fixed draw length and interval. It is useful for comparing products on the same basis, and it is not a promise. The 6,000 figure on this pod is better read as an upper planning number: the point at which a careful, steady vaper might expect the pod to be nearly finished. Longer draws, closely spaced puffs and any higher power setting a device applies all tend to use up e-liquid faster than the test figure implies.

Turning the rating into days is simple arithmetic, and it helps you decide how many pods to order at once:

  • At around 100 puffs a day, 6,000 puffs lasts roughly 60 days
  • At around 200 puffs a day, roughly 30 days
  • At around 300 puffs a day, roughly 20 days
  • At around 400 puffs a day, roughly 15 days

Those are ceiling figures. Most people do not count their puffs, so the more reliable check is to note the date you fit a pod and see how long it actually lasts. After two pods you will hold a personal number that is worth more than any printed rating.

Strength changes the picture too. People who choose 20mg often take fewer and shorter puffs because each one carries more nicotine, so a 20mg pod can last longer in calendar terms than a 10mg pod used by the same person, who may draw more often to feel satisfied. That is a tendency rather than a rule, and it is a good reason to choose the strength you are comfortable with instead of the one you hope will stretch the pod.

On delivery, expect what you would from a nicotine salt pod system in general. Vapour production is moderate and the draw is typically a snug mouth-to-lung pull, which suits people moving across from cigarettes. If you are used to large sub-ohm clouds, this is a different experience. The throat hit comes mainly from the nicotine strength and the menthol, and it is easy to notice at 20mg.

On the numbers, £5.49 spread across a 6,000 puff rating comes to about 0.09 pence per puff, or roughly 9 pence per hundred puffs. Whether you reach the full rating or not, the pod is priced a little below the £5.99 that several other CL6000 flavours carry.

The Fresh Menthol Mojito flavour profile, and the rest of the CL6000 range

Fresh Menthol Mojito is a mint-led flavour with a cooling finish. The word menthol in the name tells you the cooling is meant to be noticeable rather than a faint background note, and mojito points to the familiar pairing of mint with a citrus edge. The name describes a flavour direction, not something you drink, and the exact balance between the mint, the citrus suggestion and the sweetness is the maker's recipe. Individual perception varies, so treat this as an informed expectation rather than a tasting note from a lab.

In use, expect the cooling sensation to build on the exhale and linger briefly at the back of the throat. At 20mg the menthol and the nicotine throat hit stack on top of each other, which some people enjoy and others find sharp. At 10mg the same flavour comes across smoother, with the mint reading more clearly. Mint and menthol profiles also tend to feel crisp after coffee, after a meal or first thing in the morning, which is one reason they are a staple of every vape shop shelf.

If you have been vaping sweet fruit flavours and want a change, a menthol pod is a useful palate reset. If you are coming from menthol cigarettes, a mint-and-menthol e-liquid is the closest flavour family, though no vape will taste identical to a cigarette and it is better to expect a different experience than a copy.

The CL6000 range gives you plenty of alternatives if mint is not your preference. Flavours listed across the line include:

  • Blue Razz Lemonade: blue raspberry with a lemonade tartness
  • Cherry Ice: dark cherry with a cooling layer
  • Watermelon Ice: juicy melon with chill on the exhale
  • Lemon and Lime: a straightforward citrus pairing
  • Pink Lemonade: a softer, sweeter lemonade style
  • Sour Pineapple: tropical fruit with a sharp edge
  • Strawberry Burst: sweet berry in a fruit-forward style
  • Berry Medley: a mixed berry blend

Fresh Menthol Mojito is the clear choice from that list for anyone who wants cooling without a fruit centre. Cherry Ice and Watermelon Ice also cool, but fruit sits at the front of the flavour, so they are a different experience.

Design and build: what to check when the pod arrives

The listing image shows the pod alongside its box, and the product follows the usual prefilled pod design: a compact cartridge that seats into the device body, with a mouthpiece at one end and a coil assembly inside. We have not published dimensions or weight because we have not verified them, so the useful discussion here is about what a well-made pod looks like and how to check yours on arrival.

Before fitting the pod, take thirty seconds to inspect it:

  • Casing: look for cracks, scuffs that expose the liquid chamber, or a loose-fitting mouthpiece. A pod that looks damaged should not be used.
  • Liquid level: if the pod has a viewing window, you should see e-liquid filling most of it. A tiny amount of settled air is normal.
  • Contacts and airflow openings: the metal contacts at the base should be clean, and any air holes should be clear of residue.
  • Seals or protective film: remove any transit film or plug as the pack instructs, and keep the instructions leaflet if one is supplied.

The product name includes the words refill containers, which is how the CL6000 range is named. This listing is for the prefilled pod in the Fresh Menthol Mojito flavour, so check what your box contains when it arrives and follow the maker's leaflet for anything beyond the pod itself. If a refill container is supplied, never fill past the marked line, never mix strengths, and keep it away from children and pets.

The device that takes the pod is sold separately as a kit, and pods are not universal. A CL6000 pod is intended for the CL6000 system, and you should not assume that it fits other SKE Crystal devices or other brands. If you are unsure, match the CL6000 name exactly before ordering.

Storage is part of build quality in practice. Keep spare pods upright, out of direct sun and away from heat sources such as a car dashboard, because warm e-liquid thins and can leak. A pocket is fine for a fitted pod, but loose pods in a bag are better in a small case so that the contacts do not pick up lint.

Battery and charging

The battery sits in the CL6000 device, not in the pod. That is worth stating plainly, because it means this £5.49 purchase is the consumable part of the system: you are buying liquid and coil, and the rechargeable device does the rest. We have not verified the device's battery capacity in milliamp hours, so we do not quote one. Check the box or the maker's leaflet for the exact figure and the charging connector.

What we can say with confidence is how a 6,000 puff pod relates to a battery. Even a generous pod battery is unlikely to run a full pod on a single charge, so plan to recharge the device several times per pod. Most people settle into a routine of topping up when the device is not in use, such as overnight or at a desk, and the arithmetic of one pod covering many charges is part of why a rechargeable device makes sense.

Sensible charging habits matter more than the exact capacity:

  • Use the cable that came with the device where possible, or a reputable cable of the same connector type
  • Plug into a standard low-power USB port or a plain 5V adapter rather than a high-output fast charger
  • Charge on a hard, clear surface, not under a pillow or on a sofa cushion
  • Do not leave it charging unattended for long periods or overnight in a bedroom
  • Unplug once the indicator shows the battery is full, and stop using it if it becomes hot, swollen or damaged

Lithium cells are safe when treated properly, and UK fire services regularly publish guidance on the subject because poorly stored or damaged vape batteries are a recurring cause of incidents. If a device gets wet, is crushed or dropped hard, do not charge it.

When the battery finally reaches the end of its useful life, the device is electrical waste and should not go in the general bin. The recycling section at the end of this page covers where to take it. Treat the pods the same way once they are empty, because they contain residual liquid and belong in a proper drop-off point rather than a drawer.

Coil and pod technology

A prefilled pod holds a coil that heats the e-liquid into vapour as you draw. The manufacturer has not given us a verified coil type or resistance for this listing, so we are not going to claim one. It is still useful to understand the main designs you will see across the category, because it explains the differences in flavour and lifespan between products.

  • Mesh coils use a flat or cylindrical grid of metal with a larger heating surface. They tend to heat evenly and give fuller flavour with less chance of a burnt note.
  • Standard wire coils use a wound wire around a cotton wick. They are simple, compact and widely used in small pods, though flavour can be a touch less consistent.
  • Ceramic coils use a porous ceramic body. They are valued for clean flavour and are often paired with thinner liquids.

Whichever design is inside, the principle is the same. Liquid wicks into the coil from the chamber, a draw triggers heating, and the vapour travels up the mouthpiece. Everything depends on the wick staying saturated, which is why priming a fresh pod and avoiding rapid back-to-back puffing both help.

The e-liquid is a nicotine salt formulation, as the listing attributes show. Nicotine salts use an added acid that makes inhaled nicotine feel smoother than traditional freebase nicotine at the same strength, which is why salts are the usual choice for small pod systems and why UK strengths cluster at 10mg and 20mg. Because salt liquids are normally thin, the pod design relies on a well-sealed chamber, so do not squeeze or press on the sides.

Flavour type also influences how long a coil stays clean. Heavily sweetened liquids tend to leave more residue on the coil over time, while mint and menthol blends are usually less sugary. For that reason, many vapers find that cooling flavours keep tasting consistent for longer, though this is a general observation and not a measured result for this pod.

Finally, a prefilled pod is a sealed unit. Do not attempt to open it, pierce it or force liquid in with a syringe. You will damage the coil seal and risk a leak or a harsh taste, and the pod is not designed to be rebuilt.

Choosing between 10mg and 20mg

This pod is offered in 10mg and 20mg. Those numbers mean milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid, so 10mg is a one percent strength and 20mg is two percent. UK rules cap nicotine in e-liquid at 20mg per millilitre, which means 20mg is the strongest you will find on any legal UK product, in disposables, pods or bottles alike.

A short guide to choosing:

  • 20mg suits people who currently smoke a fair number of cigarettes a day and want the vape to feel like a real replacement. It gives a firmer throat hit and more nicotine per puff, so you may find you draw less often. With a menthol flavour the throat sensation is stronger still.
  • 10mg suits lighter smokers, people who already vape at a moderate level, and anyone who finds a hard throat hit unpleasant. It is also the sensible starting point if you are unsure, because it is easier to go up than to cope with a strength that is too sharp.

There is a trade-off in picking too low. If a strength does not satisfy you, you may end up vaping more frequently to compensate, which uses the pod faster and can leave you feeling less settled. Equally, picking too high can bring jitters, a scratchy throat or mild nausea, which are signs to switch down.

Nicotine salt liquids at 20mg are noticeably stronger than they feel, because the smooth throat feel is deceptive. If you have only used lower-strength freebase liquids in the past, do not assume that 20mg salt will feel familiar. Many first-timers on salts do better at 10mg and move up only if needed.

Do not mix pods of different strengths in one device without allowing the first to finish, and keep a note of which strength is fitted, since the pods look the same from the outside. If you share a household with other vapers, labelling spare pods is a small habit that prevents mistakes.

Nicotine is addictive. These products are intended for adult smokers and existing vapers. If you do not currently use nicotine, this is not a product to start on, and if you are pregnant or have a medical condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using any nicotine product.

Who this pod suits, and who should skip it

Plenty of purchases go wrong because the product was fine and the buyer was wrong for it. Here is an honest breakdown.

This pod is a sensible choice if:

  • You are an adult smoker or existing vaper who likes mint and menthol flavours and wants something cooler than a standard fruit pod
  • You already own, or plan to buy, a SKE Crystal CL6000 device and want a long-rated pod to go in it
  • You want the convenience of a prefilled pod with no mixing, filling or coil building
  • You prefer replacing a pod over buying a new device each time, partly for lower waste
  • You want a strength choice of 10mg or 20mg without a lot of other options to wade through

You should probably skip it if:

  • You are under 18 or you have never smoked or vaped. This is a nicotine product and it is not for you.
  • You do not own a compatible CL6000 device. The pod will not work on its own, and pods are not universal across brands.
  • You dislike menthol. Cooling is the point of this flavour, so if you find it harsh, choose a fruit flavour in the same range instead.
  • You want large clouds or adjustable airflow. A small pod system is built around a tight mouth-to-lung draw and moderate vapour, not volume.
  • You would rather save per millilitre. A refillable tank with bottled nicotine salts costs less over time, though it needs more effort and more accessories.
  • You want a device you never have to charge. Single-use products are no longer sold, and a rechargeable system asks for a habit of charging.

There is also the middle ground. If you are not sure whether you will like menthol, you might try the pod at 10mg first, because the cooling and the nicotine are both gentler. If you decide mint is not for you, the same device takes any other CL6000 pod, so the investment in the device is not wasted.

How to fit, prime and use the pod

Fitting a prefilled pod takes less than a minute, and doing it properly prevents most of the problems covered in the next section. The steps below are general good practice for the category, so follow the leaflet in your pack if it differs.

  • Check the device is charged. A low battery can cause weak vapour, which people sometimes blame on the pod.
  • Unwrap the pod and remove any protective film, seal or plug from the mouthpiece or base.
  • Push the pod firmly into the device until it seats fully. If it feels loose or the device does not respond, remove it and refit it straight.
  • Wait two to five minutes. This lets the e-liquid soak into the coil and wick. Skipping the wait is the most common cause of a dry, burnt first puff.
  • Take two or three gentle draws without inhaling into your lungs, to prime the coil. Then vape as normal, with steady, medium-length puffs.

Whether your CL6000 device is draw-activated or has a button varies by design, and we do not state it here because we have not verified it. Your leaflet will say, and most devices in this class are simple to operate either way.

A few habits that help the pod last and taste consistent:

  • Take puffs of two to four seconds with a short gap between them, instead of long back-to-back draws
  • Keep the device upright when not in use, with the mouthpiece pointing up
  • Wipe the mouthpiece and the pod contacts with a dry cloth now and then
  • Do not draw hard without airflow, and never block any air openings
  • Replace the pod when the flavour turns flat, the taste goes burnt or the vapour thins noticeably, rather than pushing through the last of it

When you swap pods, remove the old one by pulling it straight out, and fit the new one right away so the contacts do not collect dust. Keep used pods away from children and pets, and take them for recycling rather than leaving them in a drawer.

Troubleshooting: when the pod is not behaving

Most pod complaints trace back to a handful of causes. Work through these in order before deciding that a pod is faulty.

  • No vapour at all. Check the battery first, then remove and refit the pod to make sure it seats fully. Confirm that any protective film is gone. If the device uses a button, make sure it is pressed as the leaflet instructs.
  • Weak or dry first puffs. The coil has probably not saturated yet. Wait a few minutes after fitting the pod, take a few gentle priming draws and try again.
  • Burnt taste. This usually appears when the pod is nearly empty, when you chain-puff, or when you skipped the soak time. Slow down and give the wick time to refill between puffs. If the taste persists with a mostly full pod, replace it.
  • Gurgling or spitting. Condensation or excess liquid may be sitting in the airway. Wipe the mouthpiece, blow gently through the pod away from your face, or take a dry puff with the device held upright to clear it.
  • Leaking. Check the casing for cracks, make sure the pod is seated and keep the device upright. Warm environments can make liquid thinner and more likely to seep. If a pod is visibly leaking from the casing, stop using it and replace it.
  • Flavour fades after a while. This can be coil wear, a nearly empty pod, or taste fatigue from using the same flavour constantly. Switching flavour for a day or two often resets your palate.
  • Device does not charge. Try another cable and port, clean the charging socket gently and give it a few minutes before judging it. If it still fails, contact the supplier.
  • Sore throat or dizziness. A strength that is too high for you can cause this. Stop, rest and consider dropping to 10mg.

If you have tried these steps and a pod still does not work, keep the packaging, note your order number and photograph the fault. That makes any report to customer service quicker to resolve. Faulty or damaged goods are a matter for the retailer under UK consumer law, and it is much easier to deal with if you have evidence on hand.

Value for money and how it compares

At £5.49 per pod, this is one of the cheaper ways into the CL6000 range, since several other flavours are listed at £5.99. The pod is rated at 6,000 puffs, which gives a headline cost of about 0.09 pence per puff. That is a rating-based figure, so a real-world number will usually be higher, but it gives a fair basis for comparing against other products.

About the multibuy. The listing carries a deal of four for £23, which works out at £5.75 per pod. Against the £5.99 flavours that is a small saving. Against this particular flavour, four single pods at £5.49 come to £21.96, which is less than £23. The deal is therefore only helpful if you are mixing flavours at the higher price, so check your basket total before assuming a multibuy beats the individual price.

How it compares with other options we sell:

  • SKE Crystal 600 prefilled pods: priced around £2.95 and rated at 600 puffs, so roughly 0.49 pence per puff on the rating. The upfront price is lower, but the per-puff cost is about five times higher, and these are made for a different system.
  • SKE 30K Pro Max pods: listed around £8.99 and rated at 30,000 puffs, about 0.03 pence per puff. That is a markedly lower cost per puff on paper, but these pods suit a different, larger device and a different style of use. They are not interchangeable with the CL6000.
  • Bottled nicotine salt e-liquid with a refillable pod device: usually the cheapest per millilitre in the long run, with the most flavour choice. It also means more handling, a separate bottle and more things to keep track of.

None of these is automatically the right answer. A CL6000 pod makes sense when you value simplicity, you already own the matching device and you want a mid-sized, mid-priced pod with a flavour you like. If you are comparing mid-sized pod systems from other brands, remember to compare the whole package: device cost, pod price, rated puffs and whether you can get a strength you want.

Free UK delivery applies on orders over £20, so two or three pods in one order pass the threshold, which makes bundling a sensible way to avoid paying for postage.

UK rules, delivery and recycling

Selling and buying nicotine products in the UK comes with a few firm rules, and they are worth knowing as a buyer. Sales are strictly 18+, and every order here is age-checked before it ships. Nicotine in e-liquid is capped at 20mg per millilitre, which is why this pod stops at 20mg. Pods and tanks in the legal UK market are small by design, and bottles are limited in size, so be wary of any product that appears to sidestep those limits.

Single-use vapes have been banned since June 2025. A rechargeable device with replaceable pods is a different category, which is why pod systems such as the CL6000 continue to be sold. That does not make the waste question go away, though. Used pods, spent batteries and old devices still need to be disposed of responsibly.

Where to recycle:

  • Take-back at shops. Retailers that sell vapes are required to accept used vaping products for recycling, so most specialist vape shops will take them without a purchase.
  • Household waste recycling centres. Many have small electricals or battery bins where vapes and pods can go. Check your local council's website before you travel.
  • Drop-off finder. The Recycle Your Electricals postcode search is a quick way to find a nearby point that takes small electrical items.
  • Never in the general bin or kerbside recycling. The lithium battery and residual e-liquid make that unsafe and can cause fires in waste vehicles.

On delivery, orders over £20 ship free within the UK, and orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day. Stock is genuine and sourced through UK distributors, and the pod is packed with the age-restricted nature of the product in mind. You will find the full delivery terms on the delivery page, and the returns terms on the returns page.

One last note on safe keeping. Nicotine products and chargers should be stored out of reach of children and pets. Spare pods contain liquid that is harmful if swallowed, so treat them like any other nicotine product and keep them in a secure place.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Zero-mess flavour change — snap in, done
  • Consistent draw from a factory-primed coil
  • Long shelf-life, easy to travel with

Cons

  • Costs more per ml than freestanding e-liquid
  • Pods are proprietary to a specific device
  • Only sold at 20 mg or 10 mg — no lower strengths

Customer Buying Tips

  • Check device compatibility: a pod must match your exact device family (e.g. "Elfa Pro" pods only fit Elfa Pro devices).
  • Store sealed pods upright, below 30 °C — heat and sunlight drain flavour.
  • Rotate flavours: using the same pod flavour back-to-back dulls your palate within a week.
  • Prime the pod for 60 seconds after fitting to avoid a dry hit.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg for the Fresh Menthol Mojito pod?

Choose 20mg if you smoke regularly and want the vape to feel like a full replacement, and 10mg if you are a lighter smoker, an existing moderate vaper or simply unsure. Menthol adds to the throat sensation, so 10mg is the gentler place to start. UK law caps nicotine at 20mg per millilitre, so 20mg is the strongest available.

How do I charge the SKE Crystal CL6000 device?

The battery is in the device rather than the pod, so you charge the device with its supplied cable or a cable of the same connector type. Use a standard low-power USB port, charge it on a hard surface, and do not leave it unattended overnight. We have not verified the battery capacity or charging time, so check the leaflet in your pack.

Can I swap flavours without changing the device?

Yes. The CL6000 range is built around pods you fit into the same device, so you can move between flavours such as Cherry Ice, Watermelon Ice, Lemon and Lime or Blue Razz Lemonade by changing the pod. Remove the old pod, fit the new one, wait a couple of minutes for the coil to soak, then vape as normal.

How long will one pod last?

The pod is rated at 6,000 puffs, but that is a manufacturer's figure and real use varies. At around 200 puffs a day it could last roughly a month on paper, and heavier use will shorten that. Note the date you fit it, and you will have a personal figure after your first pod.

Is the Fresh Menthol Mojito pod good value at £5.49?

On the puff rating it works out at about 0.09 pence per puff, and it is priced slightly below the £5.99 that several other CL6000 flavours carry. Be careful with the four for £23 multibuy, because four single pods at £5.49 cost £21.96, which is cheaper. Check the basket total before you pay.

Who should avoid this pod?

Anyone under 18, and anyone who has never smoked or vaped, should not use it, since it contains nicotine, which is addictive. It also does not suit people without a compatible CL6000 device or people who dislike strong menthol. If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, speak to a healthcare professional first.

Will this pod fit other SKE Crystal devices or other brands?

Do not assume so. Pods are not universal, and a CL6000 pod is intended for the CL6000 system, so it may not fit other SKE Crystal devices such as the Crystal 600 or devices from other brands. Match the CL6000 name exactly before ordering, and ask us if you are unsure.

How fast is UK delivery, and is it free?

Delivery within the UK is free on orders over £20, and orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day. All orders are age-checked before they ship, so have your details ready at checkout. Full delivery terms are on the delivery page.

What if my pod arrives damaged or does not work?

Keep the packaging, photograph the problem and contact customer service with your order number, and we will help sort it out. Under UK consumer law goods must be as described and of satisfactory quality, so a faulty or damaged item is a matter we take seriously. For hygiene reasons, opened or used e-liquid products are not normally returnable unless faulty.

How do I dispose of used pods and the device?

Do not put them in the general bin or kerbside recycling, because of the lithium battery and leftover e-liquid. Flavour holds up to the last puff

Flavour holds up all the way through. Some brands get weaker after a few days but this stays consistent.

Genuine and well-packed

Cracking flavour, honestly. Been through a few of these already. Can't fault it at the price.

Perfect strength for me

Honestly, I was unsure at first but this has been great. Flavour is strong and lasts the full session. No complaints at all.
