What the Ruthless Bar Nic Salts Box Of 10 in Antidote on Ice Actually Is

The Ruthless Bar Nic Salts Box Of 10 in Antidote on Ice is a multipack of nicotine salt e-liquid, listed at £19.99 for the whole box. It is a refill product, not a device. You pour the liquid into a compatible refillable pod kit or a small tank and vape it from your own hardware. That distinction matters because shoppers who know the Ruthless Bar name from ready-made vapes sometimes expect a battery and a mouthpiece in the box. There is neither here. What you receive is liquid, in bulk, in a single flavour.

Nicotine salt e-liquid, usually shortened to nic salt, uses nicotine in a salt form blended with an acid, rather than the freebase nicotine found in traditional juices. In everyday use that tends to mean a smoother throat feel at higher strengths and a quicker, steadier nicotine delivery in low-power devices. It is the style of liquid most adults use in small pod kits, which is also why it became the natural choice for people who started on pod-style disposables and now want something reusable.

The key facts at a glance:

  • Product: Ruthless Bar nic salt e-liquid, box of 10 bottles.
  • Flavour: Antidote on Ice, an ice-led flavour.
  • Bottle size: 10ml per bottle, which is the largest size UK rules allow for nicotine e-liquid. Ten bottles give you 100ml in total.
  • Type: nicotine salt e-liquid for low-power pod kits and small refillable tanks.
  • Price: £19.99 for the box, which works out at roughly £2.00 per bottle.
  • Strength: set by the option you choose on the product page. Single bottles from the same Ruthless Bar Saltz family are sold in 10mg and 20mg, so those are the strengths to expect, but always read the selector before you order.
  • Age: strictly 18+. Nicotine products are for adult smokers and vapers only.

The rest of this page walks through how the liquid behaves, what hardware suits it, how to choose a strength, how to fill and look after your device, what to do when something goes wrong, and how the box compares with other multipacks on the UK market. We keep the claims plain and the numbers tied to arithmetic you can check yourself.

Performance and Puff Delivery in Real Use

A bottle of e-liquid does not carry a puff count the way a disposable does, so performance depends on three things working together: the liquid, the device and the way you vape. With this box you control two of the three. The liquid is the constant, and your pod kit and habits decide the rest.

The simplest way to size up what you are buying is volume. A 10ml bottle fills a standard 2ml pod about five times, allowing for a little loss when you prime. Ten bottles therefore give you roughly fifty pod fills. For context, a UK-legal 2ml disposable was usually marketed at around 600 puffs. That figure is a marketing yardstick rather than a measurement, and real use varies a lot, but it does show the scale: this box holds the same total liquid as fifty of those 2ml disposables.

In a typical pod kit, nic salt in a flavour like this delivers a tight, mouth-to-lung style draw. You take a slow, steady pull, hold briefly in the mouth and then inhale. The vapour is thinner and cooler than the large clouds produced by high-power sub-ohm tanks, and that is by design. Nic salts are built for low wattage, usually in the region of single digits up to the low teens, depending on the coil and the device.

What you can expect in day-to-day use:

  • Quick start: after a fresh fill and a short wait for the wick to soak, the first puffs should be consistent rather than dry.
  • Steady throat feel: at 10mg the hit is gentle, and at 20mg it is firmer, with the ice element adding a cool edge on top.
  • Low maintenance: because you are working with a ready-mixed nic salt, there is no steeping, mixing or measuring.
  • Consistency across the box: ten bottles of the same flavour and strength means you are not re-learning your vape each time you open a new one.

One honest caveat. Ice flavours are sensitive to power. If your device lets you raise the wattage, you will often find that more heat flattens the cooling and brings out a harsher, drier note. Keep the power at or just below the lower end of what the coil maker recommends and you will get the most balanced result from this liquid.

Flavour Profile: Antidote on Ice

The flavour on this listing is Antidote on Ice, and the product is tagged as ice-led. That tells us two confirmed things: there is a named flavour blend underneath, and the dominant finish is cold. The listing does not break the blend down into individual fruit or candy notes, and we would rather say so than guess at a recipe that Ruthless has not published on the page. If the detail matters to you, the first bottle will tell you quickly, and the advice below will help you read it.

Ice flavours in e-liquid work by pairing a flavour base with a cooling agent. The cooling agent does not change the taste so much as the sensation: a cold feeling on the tongue, in the throat and in the nose on the exhale. Because that sensation is strong, it can mute sweetness and soften fruit notes, which is why the same base tastes different in an ice version than in a standard one.

How to judge it properly when you try the first bottle:

  • Start with three or four slow puffs. Your palate needs a moment to settle, and the first puff or two often gives a misleading impression.
  • Note the top, the middle and the finish. The top note is what you taste on inhale, the middle is the body as the vapour sits in your mouth, and the finish is what lingers after you exhale through your nose.
  • Judge it again after a day. Cooling intensity feels different when you are used to it, and a flavour that seemed sharp on day one often settles into something easy to vape.
  • Compare strengths separately. Nicotine adds its own bite, so a 20mg bottle can seem to taste sharper than a 10mg bottle of the same flavour even though the recipe is identical.

Cooling flavours also behave differently with the seasons. Many vapers find an ice blend refreshing in warm weather and a little brisk in winter, particularly if the room is cold and the vapour is already cool. If you are not sure you will enjoy a cooling finish all day, a good approach is to use this as your main flavour for a week and note whether you reach for it or avoid it. A box of ten is a commitment, and that quick test is cheap insurance.

Finally, keep your flavours separate. Mixing two liquids in the same pod is a recipe for muddy taste and clogged coils. When you switch from another flavour to Antidote on Ice, rinse the pod, let it dry and fill it fresh, so the ice note is not fighting leftover sweetness.

Bottle Design, Packaging, Storage and Recycling

Ten 10ml bottles come together in one box. UK rules require nicotine e-liquid bottles to have child-resistant and tamper-evident closures, a clear health warning, a list of ingredients and the nicotine content printed on the label. That means the bottles are built around a push-and-twist cap, and most use a narrow nozzle that fits the fill port on a pod without needing a funnel. If you have not used one before, expect a slightly fiddly cap for the first few openings. It is designed that way on purpose.

Plastic bottles of this type are lightweight and squeezable, which helps with controlled filling, but the nozzle can release a surprise drop if you squeeze too hard. Hold the bottle gently, keep the nozzle straight over the fill port, and go slowly.

Storage matters more than most people realise, especially with ten bottles to get through:

  • Keep them cool and dark. Heat and sunlight degrade e-liquid over time. Avoid windowsills, radiators and hot cars.
  • Store upright. It reduces the chance of leaks from the nozzle.
  • Keep out of reach. Nicotine liquid must be stored away from children and pets. Leave the bottles in the original box and put the box somewhere high or locked.
  • Check the best-before date. The date is printed on the box or the bottle. Rotate so the oldest bottle gets used first.
  • Close the cap firmly after each fill. A loose cap lets air in and can thicken the liquid slowly over weeks.

When you finish a bottle, do not just throw it in the bin. Empty nicotine bottles are best handled according to your local council guidance, and many councils accept rinsed, empty plastic bottles with other household plastics. Check your council page, as rules vary by area. If you also use a device, the pod kit itself counts as electrical waste. Retailers that sell vapes in the UK are required to take back waste vapes and small electricals, and vape-recycling drop-off points are available at many vape shops, supermarkets with electrical recycling bins, and household waste recycling centres. You can search the Recycle Your Electricals postcode finder to find the nearest one. Never put a vape device, pod kit or battery in household rubbish or general recycling, because the lithium cell inside is a fire risk in collection vehicles.

Battery and Charging: What Your Device Needs

This box contains liquid only, so there is no battery in it and nothing to charge. Battery life and charging belong to the pod kit or device you use, and it is worth thinking about because the two work together. A good liquid in a poorly charged device will still taste flat or burnt.

Refillable pod kits that suit nic salts typically carry batteries somewhere between a few hundred and around one thousand milliamp hours, and most recharge over a USB-C cable. We are not attaching a specific mAh figure to this liquid, because it depends on the hardware you choose. What we can say is how the pairing tends to work in practice.

  • Nic salts are efficient. Because you can use a strong liquid at low power, you take fewer puffs per day than on a low-strength freebase juice, and the battery tends to last longer between charges.
  • Charge before the battery is flat. When the battery runs very low, many devices deliver weaker, uneven heat, which brings on dry or burnt-tasting puffs. Plug in when the indicator drops low rather than at the last moment.
  • Use the cable that came with the device. A standard low-power USB source or a phone charger is usually fine. Avoid unbranded fast chargers, and do not leave a device charging unattended overnight or on soft surfaces like a bed or sofa.
  • Keep batteries away from heat. Do not store the device in a hot car or alongside keys and coins in a pocket.
  • Replace damaged devices. If a device gets hot while charging, swells or smells odd, stop using it and take it to a recycling drop-off point.

The UK disposable ban is worth a short mention here. Single-use vapes have not been legal to sell in Great Britain since 1 June 2025, so a refillable setup is now the usual route for adults who want the pod-style experience. A rechargeable device filled from a box like this is the straightforward way to do that, and it also keeps one battery in use for months instead of sending a new battery to landfill every few days.

Coils, Mesh and Wicking: Matching the Liquid to Your Hardware

Nic salt liquids are made to work with coils in small pod systems. The pod or tank you choose holds a coil, a wick, and a reservoir that takes the liquid from the bottle. Understanding those three parts helps you choose hardware that will do justice to a flavour like Antidote on Ice.

Coils in pod systems for nic salts are generally between about 0.6 and 1.2 ohms. A higher resistance means less power and a tighter draw, and a lower resistance means more power and a looser draw. The exact numbers depend on the maker, but the pattern holds.

  • Mesh coils: a flat, perforated sheet that heats a wide surface area evenly. Mesh tends to give fuller flavour and denser vapour and is popular with nic salts. It usually suits a slightly higher power setting and a liquid that is not too thick.
  • Round wire coils: a traditional wound wire that heats quickly and gives a slightly lighter, crisper draw. It is typical in compact pod kits.
  • Ceramic coils: a ceramic core that tends to be gentle on flavour and long-lasting, with a slower ramp-up. Many people find ceramic a reliable partner for sweeter or cooler liquids.

All three types sit against cotton or a similar wicking material. If the wick is not fully saturated, the coil heats dry cotton and you get a burnt, acrid taste. That is the single most common cause of a spoiled coil, and the fix is simple: let a fresh fill rest for five to ten minutes before your first puff.

Refillable pod kits in the style of the Vaporesso XROS, the Uwell Caliburn or the OXVA Xlim families are all designed for liquids of this kind. Check the maker's recommended wattage range and the pod capacity on the packaging, and make sure the pod has a clear fill port. Avoid using a nic salt at 20mg in a high-power sub-ohm tank. Those devices are built for much weaker freebase liquids at higher power, and the combination is harsh, wasteful and uncomfortably strong.

As a rule of thumb, expect a coil to last somewhere between one and three weeks of regular use. Sweeter, thicker or cooling-heavy liquids can build up residue sooner. If the flavour fades or the vapour turns thin, change the coil or pod before assuming the liquid is at fault.

Choosing Your Nicotine Strength

UK rules cap nicotine in e-liquid at 20mg per millilitre, which is 2 percent. That limit applies to bottles like these and also to any vape sold in the UK, including the ready-made disposables that used to dominate the market. Nic salts are sold at strengths up to that cap, with 10mg and 20mg being the two most common choices. The Ruthless Bar Saltz single bottles in our range follow that pattern, and the strength you select on this listing is the strength you will get in all ten bottles.

Pick a strength based on how you use nicotine now, not on how you want to use it later.

  • 10mg (about 1 percent): suits lighter users, people who have been vaping a lower-strength product, and anyone who finds nicotine at 20mg too sharp. It also works well if you vape often through the day and want something gentle on the throat.
  • 20mg (2 percent): suits adults who smoked around ten or more cigarettes a day, or who used to rely on 20mg disposables. It gives the firmest hit and the fastest satisfaction in small pod kits, which means you tend to take fewer puffs.

If you are moving from a disposable that was already at 20mg, 20mg is the most natural match. If you are unsure, starting a step lower is more comfortable than starting high, because it is easy to step up and unpleasant to step down after an overdose of nicotine. Signs that your strength is too high include dizziness, nausea, headache, a racing heart or a throat that feels raw. If you notice any of these, stop, take a break, and consider a lower strength.

Remember that ice flavours influence how strength feels. The cooling effect can mask harshness, so a 20mg bottle in an ice flavour can seem milder than it is. Because of that, it is wise not to chain-vape on a high strength simply because it tastes smooth.

Nicotine is addictive. These products are for adults who already use nicotine. If you do not smoke or vape, do not start. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or managing a health condition, speak to a pharmacist or doctor before using any nicotine product. If you are looking for a nicotine-free option, check that the strength selector on this product page offers one rather than assuming it does.

Who It Suits and Who Should Skip It

This box is aimed at a fairly specific adult shopper. It will feel like a sensible buy if you recognise yourself in the first list below, and a poor fit if you see yourself in the second.

It suits:

  • Adults who already use a refillable pod kit and want a steady supply of one flavour at a lower per-bottle cost than buying singles.
  • Former disposable users who are adjusting to the UK ban on single-use vapes and want a reusable, rechargeable setup.
  • People who like a cold, crisp finish and want a flavour they can rely on all day.
  • Households with more than one vaper, where ten bottles are shared across devices and the cost is split.
  • Adults moving away from smoking who want a simple, ready-to-use nic salt without mixing or steeping.

You may want to look elsewhere if:

  • You use a high-power sub-ohm tank. Those setups are designed for larger shortfill bottles and lower nicotine strengths. A nic salt at 20mg is not made for them.
  • You want a disposable. There is no battery or mouthpiece in this box, and single-use vapes are no longer available to buy in Great Britain.
  • You are not sure you like ice flavours. A box of ten is a lot of one flavour. Try a single bottle of a related Ruthless Bar Saltz flavour first if you want to test the style.
  • You vape only occasionally. Ten bottles will take a long time to finish, and e-liquid does not improve with age. A smaller purchase may be more sensible.
  • You are under 18 or do not smoke. Nicotine products are not for you, and we cannot sell to anyone under 18.

None of that is a judgement. It is simply how the product is designed. A multipack of nic salt rewards people who vape every day, own the right hardware and have already settled on a flavour they like.

How to Fill, Prime and Use It

Filling a pod takes a minute and costs nothing, but doing it carefully makes a visible difference to taste, battery life and the number of leaks you deal with. This is the routine most refillable pod kits recommend.

  • Wash and dry your hands. Nicotine liquid on skin is unpleasant, and oils from your fingers can affect the pod seal.
  • Switch the device off and remove the pod. Some kits let you fill with the pod in place, but removing it gives you better control.
  • Open the fill port. It is usually a small silicone plug on the side or top. Do not touch the coil opening in the centre.
  • Open the bottle and place the nozzle in the port. Hold the pod upright or at a slight angle and squeeze slowly. Stop when the liquid is about a millimetre or two below the maximum line, so there is room for air.
  • Close the port, wipe the pod and refit it. A tissue is enough to remove stray liquid from the outside.
  • Wait five to ten minutes. This lets the wick soak fully and is the best guard against burnt first puffs.
  • Take the first few puffs gently. Short, slow draws warm the coil and avoid flooding it with unvaporised liquid.

Vape at your own pace. With nic salts, you will usually find that a few puffs are enough, so there is no need to chain-vape. If your device has adjustable airflow, start with the tighter setting for a smoother, more flavourful draw and open it up a little if the vapour feels too warm.

Look after the pod while it is in use. Store the device upright when you can, so liquid stays near the wick rather than collecting in the airflow channel. Wipe the mouthpiece daily. When you change flavour, rinse the empty pod under warm water, shake it dry and allow it to air for a few hours before refilling. Never refill a pod that is cracked or has a failed seal.

Troubleshooting Common Problems

Most problems with refillable pod kits come down to a handful of causes. Here is a reference you can come back to when something is not quite right.

  • Leaking from the pod: usually overfilling, a loose fill-port plug, or a pod with a worn seal. Fill to just below the maximum line, press the plug in firmly and replace the pod if it keeps weeping.
  • Burnt or acrid taste: the wick is dry or the coil is spent. Let the liquid soak for longer after filling, take shorter puffs, and swap the coil if the taste does not clear after a refill.
  • Weak flavour: the coil is tired, the power is too high or you are vape-fatigued. Change the coil, drop the wattage if you can, and take a day or two on a different flavour to reset your palate.
  • Gurgling and spitting: too much liquid in the airflow channel. Remove the pod, tap it dry and blow gently through the mouthpiece. Fill a touch lower next time.
  • Nothing happens when you draw: check that the battery is charged, the pod is seated firmly and the contacts are clean. If your device has a lock mode, make sure it is off.
  • Throat hit is too harsh: the strength may be too high for you. Reduce power, loosen the airflow or move to a lower strength next time.
  • Cooling is too intense: shorten each puff, open the airflow a little and avoid exhaling hard through the nose. Some people alternate with a non-ice flavour during the day.
  • Sticky or crusted pod: residue from sweet or cooling liquids. Rinse the pod with warm water and let it dry fully before refilling.
  • Device gets hot: stop using it, let it cool and check for blocked airflow. If it continues, retire the device and recycle it.

If a bottle arrives damaged, leaking or with a broken seal, contact us with your order number and a photo before you use it. Do not use a bottle with a damaged tamper-evident seal.

Value for Money

The box is listed at £19.99 for ten bottles, which comes to roughly £2.00 a bottle and about 20p per millilitre. For comparison, other Ruthless Bar Saltz single bottles in our range have listed at £3.45 each, with a 4 for £10 offer, which is £2.50 a bottle on the offer. Buying a box saves a small amount per bottle and gives you a larger stock in one go, and it saves you reassembling an order each time you run low.

The more useful way to think about value is cost per fill. A 10ml bottle fills a 2ml pod about five times, so the box gives roughly fifty fills. At £19.99, that is about 40p of liquid per fill. Add the cost of a pod or coil every couple of weeks, and the running cost of a refillable setup is typically far below that of replacing single-use devices every few days.

  • Per bottle: roughly £2.00.
  • Per 2ml fill: roughly 40p.
  • Total liquid: 100ml.
  • Delivery: free UK delivery applies on orders over £20, and this box is listed at £19.99, so adding any small item to the basket takes the order over the threshold. Orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same working day.
  • Authenticity: every product on the site is 100 percent genuine.

Where the value drops away is if you do not finish the box. E-liquid has a printed best-before date, and flavour can fade as bottles age, so a purchase of ten is only a bargain for someone who will use it. If you vape lightly, consider a single bottle first, then step up to a box once you are sure.

Remember also that the box only covers liquid. You will need compatible hardware, a charging cable and spare pods or coils, and those costs sit on top. If you are building a setup from scratch, price those in before you decide on volume.

How It Compares With Other Nic Salt Multipacks, and the UK Rules That Apply

A box of ten nic salt bottles is a crowded category in the UK. Here is an honest view of where this one sits against a few multipacks on our own site, kept to differences that hold true without leaning on figures we cannot verify.

  • Hayati Pro Max 10ml nic salt box of 10: a wide flavour range that mixes fruit, sweet and ice options. If you like to try something different every time, that breadth is a real advantage over a single-flavour box. This Ruthless Bar box is narrower but gives you a single, cooling flavour you can settle into.
  • Elux Legend 10ml nic salt box of 10: a recognisable name for people who came to nic salts through disposables. Flavour choice is broad, and the profile leans toward fruit and ice. A reasonable alternative if you want a known disposable brand in liquid form.
  • Bar Juice 5000 10ml nic salts box of 10: a familiar name on UK shelves with a sizeable catalogue. It suits people who want a long list of familiar flavours and who are happy to browse.
  • Crystal Pro 10ml nic salt box of 10: another multipack option with its own flavour line. Worth comparing if you want to match a specific flavour you already use.

On the whole, differences between these ranges come down to flavour direction, number of flavours, available strengths and pack price rather than anything dramatic in performance. If your priority is variety, a bigger-range brand gives you more choices. If your priority is a specific ice-led flavour in a ten-pack, this box does the job.

The UK rules that apply to all of them are the same:

  • Nicotine cap: 20mg per millilitre for e-liquid and for any vape, including disposables.
  • Bottle size: 10ml maximum for nicotine e-liquid, with child-resistant and tamper-evident closures.
  • Tank size: 2ml maximum for refillable pods and tanks.
  • Age: you must be 18 or over to buy or use these products.
  • Disposables: single-use vapes have been banned from sale across Great Britain since 1 June 2025.
  • Recycling: used vapes and batteries go to a vape-recycling drop-off point or a household waste recycling centre, not into household bins.

Frequently asked questions

Which nicotine strength should I choose?

Choose based on your current nicotine use. 10mg suits lighter users or those who find 20mg too sharp, and 20mg suits adults who smoked around ten or more cigarettes a day or used 20mg disposables. UK law caps nicotine at 20mg per millilitre, and the strength you select on the product page applies to all ten bottles. If you are unsure, start lower.

Does the box need charging, and how do I charge my device?

The box contains liquid only, so there is nothing to charge. Charging applies to the refillable pod kit you use it in. Most pod kits recharge over USB-C. Use the supplied cable, avoid leaving the device charging unattended overnight, and charge before the battery runs completely flat to avoid weak or burnt-tasting puffs.

Can I swap flavours, and are other flavours available?

This listing is for Antidote on Ice, so all ten bottles are the same flavour. Other flavours in the Ruthless Bar Saltz family are available as single bottles on our brand page. When changing flavour in a device, rinse the pod, let it dry and refill so the old taste does not carry over.

How long will a box of ten bottles last?

It depends on how often you vape. Ten 10ml bottles give 100ml, which is roughly fifty fills of a standard 2ml pod. A light user may take several months, while a heavy daily user could get through a bottle in a few days. Check the best-before date and use the oldest bottle first.

Is the box good value compared with buying single bottles?

At £19.99 for ten bottles, the box works out at roughly £2.00 a bottle and about 40p per 2ml pod fill. Single Ruthless Bar Saltz bottles in our range have listed at £3.45, or 4 for £10, so the box is cheaper per bottle. It only makes sense if you will actually use all ten before they expire.

Who should and shouldn't buy this?

It suits adult smokers and vapers who use a refillable pod kit and like a cold, ice-led finish. It does not suit anyone under 18, non-smokers, or people using high-power sub-ohm tanks, which need different liquids. If you are pregnant or have a health condition, speak to a pharmacist or doctor before using nicotine.

Can I use it in a disposable vape?

No. This is a refill liquid for rechargeable pod kits and small refillable tanks. Sealed single-use disposables cannot be refilled, and they have not been legal to sell in Great Britain since 1 June 2025. Check that your device is designed for nic salts and has a fill port before you use the liquid.

How does UK delivery work?

We offer free UK delivery on orders over £20, and orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same working day. The box is listed at £19.99, so adding a small item will take the order over the free-delivery threshold. A delivery charge applies below it, and the exact cost is shown at checkout. All orders require an adult to be 18 or over.

What are the warranty and returns terms?

E-liquid is not covered by a manufacturer warranty in the way a device is, but your statutory rights apply if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described. Contact us with your order number and a photo if a bottle arrives damaged or leaking. Opened e-liquid generally cannot be returned for hygiene and age-restriction reasons, so check the returns page for current terms.

Where do I recycle empty bottles and old vapes?

Rinse empty plastic bottles and follow your local council guidance, as rules vary by area. Used vape devices and batteries must not go in household bins. Take them to a vape-recycling drop-off point, which many vape shops, supermarkets and household waste recycling centres provide, and use the Recycle Your Electricals postcode finder to locate one.
