Overview

The Pineapple Lemonade Caliypso 100ml Shortfill E-Liquid by Caliypso in Pineapple Lemonade at 0mg. Free UK delivery over £20, same-day dispatch on weekday orders before 4pm.

Caliypso Pineapple Lemonade 100ml at a Glance

Caliypso Pineapple Lemonade is a 100ml shortfill e-liquid from the Caliypso range, built for people who vape on a sub-ohm tank or a larger refillable device and want a fruit-and-citrus flavour without buying a drawer full of tiny bottles. The liquid arrives in a 120ml bottle with 100ml of e-liquid inside, which leaves roughly 20ml of empty space on purpose. That gap is there so you can add nicotine shots if you want nicotine, or simply leave it alone and vape the liquid at 0mg.

The flavour is what the name promises: ripe pineapple sitting alongside a tangy, sweetened lemonade note. It is a straightforward two-flavour concept, and that suits a shortfill well, because there is no elaborate blend to fall apart when the liquid is diluted slightly by a nicotine shot.

A shortfill sits in a different corner of the market from the pre-filled devices and pod systems most people start with. If you are used to a disposable, you will find this is more hands-on. You fill a tank yourself, you choose a coil, and you decide how much nicotine, if any, goes into the bottle. The payoff is cost per millilitre and flexibility. If you would like to compare other flavours and sizes before committing, the full short fill e-liquids range lets you browse them side by side.

This page walks through what a buyer typically wants to know before ordering: what the flavour tastes like, how a shortfill differs from other bottle types, the numbers behind the strengths, how to mix nicotine tidily, which devices suit it, how to store it and what to do when a tank tastes wrong. It also covers who this liquid probably is not for, because a good fit matters more than a quick sale.

Everything here is written for adults who already vape or smoke and are weighing up a move to a bigger bottle. Nicotine is addictive, and vaping is not risk-free. If you are under 18, or you do not currently use nicotine, this product is not for you, and age confirmation is part of the checkout process.

The Flavour Profile, Sip by Sip

Start with the inhale. Pineapple leads, and it reads as the sweet, juicy kind you would expect from tinned chunks rather than the sharp, almost sour bite of a fresh fruit. That sweetness is checked by lemon, which arrives a beat later and stops the whole thing turning heavy or sticky on the palate. Picture a glass of cloudy lemonade with a splash of pineapple juice stirred in, minus the fizz.

The exhale is where the lemonade character really shows. Lemon tends to linger slightly longer than the pineapple, leaving a gentle tartness at the back of the throat and a clean, lightly sugared finish. Nothing in the name suggests menthol or a cooling agent, so expect a warm, rounded fruit flavour rather than an icy blast. If a chilly finish is what you are after, other bottles from the same brand are a better starting point.

How you set up your device changes what you taste. At lower power the pineapple generally stays rounder and sweeter, because the coil is not hot enough to push the more volatile citrus notes to the front. Turn the wattage up and the lemon brightens, the sweetness thins and the vape feels crisper but also warmer in the throat. Neither is wrong. It comes down to preference, and a change of five watts or so is often enough to shift the balance.

Airflow plays its part as well. A tight draw concentrates the flavour and suits anyone who likes a more intense, almost boiled-sweet hit. A wide-open airflow gives a cooler, airier cloud that dilutes the taste a little but feels smoother. When you add nicotine shots the flavour dips slightly, since you are thinning the original liquid with an unflavoured nicotine base. With a simple fruit pairing like this one, the change is usually modest.

It is a flavour built for steady, all-day vaping rather than a one-off novelty. Sweet fruit liquids can dull the palate if you chain-vape them, an effect many people call vaper's tongue, so swapping to a second flavour for a day or two now and then keeps the taste lively when you return.

How a Shortfill Differs From Nic Salts and Standard Bottles

Three bottle types cause most of the confusion for newcomers: shortfills, ready-mixed 10ml freebase bottles and nicotine salts. They are not interchangeable, and choosing the wrong one for your device is the most common reason people end up disappointed with a purchase.

A shortfill is sold at 0mg nicotine in a bottle larger than the volume of liquid inside. In the UK, e-liquid that contains nicotine is sold in bottles of no more than 10ml, so bigger sizes are supplied nicotine-free with spare room for you to add nicotine yourself. Caliypso Pineapple Lemonade follows exactly that model: 100ml of liquid in a 120ml bottle, with the decision about nicotine left entirely to you.

Nicotine salts work differently. They use a form of nicotine that feels smoother at higher strengths, and they come in 10ml bottles at fairly high strengths, designed for low-power pod devices where a small amount of liquid goes a long way. If you vape on a compact pod system, take a look at nicotine salt e-liquids rather than a shortfill. A high-VG shortfill is thicker, and thick liquid can wick poorly through the tiny coils inside many pod devices, which leads to weak flavour and the occasional burnt hit.

Ready-mixed freebase bottles in 10ml sit somewhere in the middle. They contain nicotine already, they suit a range of tanks, and they are convenient if you only need a small amount. The trade-off is price per millilitre. Once you are getting through a few millilitres a day, buying 10ml at a time costs more than a 100ml bottle and leaves you handling far more packaging.

The practical question is simple. Do you own a tank or refillable device that handles a thicker liquid, and are you comfortable measuring a nicotine shot or two into a bottle? If so, a shortfill is usually the most economical route. If not, a nic salt or a pre-filled device will fit your habits better.

Specs and Numbers Worth Knowing Before You Buy

Numbers first, because they settle most questions before they are asked. Here is what the listing covers:

  • Product: Caliypso Pineapple Lemonade shortfill e-liquid
  • Flavour: pineapple with a tangy lemonade finish
  • Liquid volume: 100ml
  • Bottle size: 120ml, leaving roughly 20ml of headroom
  • Nicotine as supplied: 0mg/ml
  • Base: a high-VG blend, with the exact VG/PG ratio printed on the bottle label
  • Best suited to: sub-ohm tanks and devices built for thicker liquid
  • After one 10ml 18mg shot: about 1.6mg/ml in 110ml
  • After two 10ml 18mg shots: 3mg/ml in 120ml

The strength figures are simple dilution maths. One 10ml shot at 18mg/ml carries 180mg of nicotine, which spreads across 110ml of finished liquid to give about 1.64mg/ml. Two shots carry 360mg across 120ml, which lands on exactly 3mg/ml. If your shots are 20mg/ml instead, two of them give roughly 3.3mg/ml. Always read the strength printed on the shot bottle rather than assuming.

How long does 100ml last? That depends entirely on how you vape. Someone using 3 to 5ml a day on a modest sub-ohm setup might get 20 to 30 days from a bottle. A heavy user on a high-wattage build, going through 8 to 10ml daily, will see it vanish in under two weeks. Track your own usage for a few days after filling a tank and you will have a realistic figure to plan reorders around.

Bottle design is worth a mention too. Shortfill bottles are usually soft plastic with a narrow nozzle, which makes filling a tank a clean process but means you should squeeze gently. The tamper seal and child-resistant features vary by batch, so treat the label on your delivery as the final word on ratio, volume and ingredients.

Adding Nicotine Shots: A Tidy Step-by-Step Guide

Mixing nicotine into a shortfill takes about two minutes, and the main skill is tidiness. Wash and dry your hands first, then work on a clean surface with some kitchen roll under the bottle. Nicotine liquid on bare skin is best avoided, so wipe up spills immediately and wash with soap and water if any gets on your hands.

Begin by checking what you have. You need the shortfill bottle, one or two nicotine shots, and nothing else. Each shot is a 10ml bottle of nicotine in an unflavoured base, commonly sold at 18mg/ml. Twist off the cap of the shortfill and, if the nozzle pulls out, take it out to give a wider opening. If it does not come out, you can squeeze the shot in slowly through the nozzle instead.

Open the nicotine shot and squeeze the contents into the shortfill in a steady stream. Add the second shot if you are aiming for 3mg/ml. Because the shortfill bottle has roughly 20ml of headroom, two 10ml shots will bring the level close to the neck, so go slowly and stop if the bottle is nearly full. Never force in more than the bottle can hold.

Refit the nozzle and cap firmly, then shake the bottle hard for around 30 seconds. The nicotine base is a different viscosity to the flavoured liquid, and without a proper shake you can end up with uneven strength through the bottle. Leave it to rest for a few hours, ideally overnight, then give it another short shake before you fill your tank.

Finally, label the bottle. A mixed bottle looks identical to an unmixed one, and the difference matters for anyone else in the house. Write the date and strength on a sticky label or directly on the plastic with a permanent marker. Keep empty shot bottles for recycling only once they are rinsed, and never pour leftover nicotine liquid down the sink in bulk. If in doubt, check how your local council handles small quantities of waste e-liquid.

Choosing a Nicotine Strength When You Mix

How much nicotine you add depends on how you vape now and what device you are using. Sub-ohm tanks deliver a large amount of vapour per puff, so the strengths that feel comfortable are lower than the figures people see on small pod devices. That is why shortfill mixes tend to top out around 3mg/ml with two standard shots.

0mg (no shots). Right for anyone who wants flavour and vapour without nicotine, or who has finished stepping down and no longer wants any. Nothing needs mixing, and you can fill the tank straight from the bottle. If you like the idea of nicotine-free options generally, the nicotine-free e-liquids range has more to choose from.

About 1.6mg/ml (one 18mg shot). A light setting that suits people who are partway through reducing, or who vape occasionally. Because the total volume is 110ml, the bottle will not be completely full, which is fine as long as the cap is tight and you shake properly.

About 3mg/ml (two 18mg shots). A common choice for steady daily vaping on a sub-ohm tank. It gives a noticeable but not harsh throat feel at higher wattages. If you find it too strong at high power, turn the wattage down or move to one shot before changing anything else.

If you smoke heavily or you found 3mg/ml unsatisfying on a sub-ohm device, a shortfill may not reach the strength you need at a comfortable volume. A nicotine salt in a pod system is usually the more practical option, because those liquids are made for higher strengths in small, low-power hardware.

A few cautions apply. Nicotine is addictive, it raises heart rate and blood pressure, and it is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have a medical condition or you are unsure what is right for you, speak to a GP or pharmacist. Never add nicotine to a shortfill intended for someone who does not already use it.

Devices and Coils That Suit This Liquid

A 100ml shortfill wants a tank that can make full use of it. The natural home for a high-VG liquid is a sub-ohm tank, which is built around a wide-bore coil with generous wicking holes. Coils in the 0.15 to 0.6 ohm range are the usual choice. Lower-resistance coils run at higher wattage and give more vapour and a stronger flavour. Coils nearer 0.5 ohm sit at modest power and feel closer to a restricted-lung draw with a bit of extra air. Check the wattage range printed on the coil and stay within it.

Many modern vape kits ship with a sub-ohm tank and a compatible coil, which makes them the simplest route if you are buying a device at the same time as the e-liquid. Look for a tank capacity of at least 2ml and a top-fill design, because filling from the bottle nozzle is much less fiddly than a bottom-fill system.

Coils are consumables. With a sweet fruit liquid like pineapple lemonade, plan on swapping one roughly every one to two weeks, depending on how much you vape and how high you run the power. Keeping a spare pack of coils in a drawer saves you from a flavourless evening. Make sure the coil series matches your tank exactly. They are not universal, and a near match will not seat properly.

Refillable pod systems can work too, but only the ones designed for thicker liquid. Check the manufacturer's guidance on supported VG ratios. If a pod uses a coil of 0.8 ohm or higher and is marketed for nicotine salts, a high-VG shortfill may wick slowly and taste burnt. Pod devices with larger wicking ports and lower-resistance coils usually handle it without trouble. When in doubt, ask before you buy.

Whatever you choose, prime new coils properly. Drip a few drops of liquid directly onto the exposed cotton, fill the tank, then wait five to ten minutes before the first puff. Skipping this step is the single biggest cause of burnt coils in their first hour, and it is entirely avoidable.

Who This E-Liquid Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere

Not every vaper needs a big bottle, and being honest about that saves money. Caliypso Pineapple Lemonade is a good match for people who already own a sub-ohm tank or a similar refillable device, vape daily and get through a few millilitres every day. At that rate a 100ml bottle is cheaper per millilitre than a stack of 10ml bottles and means fewer reorders.

It also suits people who like to control their own nicotine. If you are reducing strength gradually, a shortfill lets you step down in small increments, from two shots to one to none, without changing flavour or buying a new product each time. Likewise anyone who prefers to vape at 0mg has a straightforward option here: leave the bottle alone and fill the tank.

Flavour-wise, it is aimed at fans of bright, sweet fruit and citrus rather than tobacco, dessert or bakery profiles. If your usual choice is a creamy custard or a rich tobacco blend, this will feel quite different, though the lemon edge makes it less cloying than many fruit liquids.

Who should look elsewhere? Newcomers who have never vaped and want zero setup are usually better served by a disposable vape or a closed pod kit, where there is nothing to fill, mix or prime. People who rely on higher strengths, around 10mg or 20mg, will find that a shortfill with shots cannot reach those figures at a comfortable volume, so a nicotine salt in a pod device is the more practical route. Anyone who needs something pocketable all day may find a 120ml bottle and a tank bulky, though a small decant bottle is the usual workaround.

Finally, remember who vaping is for. It is for adults who already use nicotine or who want an alternative to smoking. It is not recommended for non-smokers or anyone under 18, and there is no benefit in starting if you do not currently smoke or vape.

Storing, Resting and Keeping It Fresh

Storage matters more than most people expect, particularly with fruit liquids. Light, heat and oxygen all degrade e-liquid over time, and bright pineapple and citrus notes are among the first to fade. Keep the bottle somewhere cool and dark, such as a cupboard or drawer, away from radiators, windowsills and the inside of a parked car. A bottle left in direct sun for an afternoon can darken noticeably and lose some of its sparkle.

Store it upright with the cap pushed or screwed down fully. A leaning bottle can seep from the nozzle, and a loose cap invites dust and lets flavour evaporate. Wipe the nozzle after each fill, because the sweeteners in fruit liquids can dry into a sticky film that makes the next fill messier.

Safety is non-negotiable. Even at 0mg the bottle should be out of reach of children and pets. Once you have added nicotine shots, the contents become a nicotine-containing liquid that can be harmful if swallowed or if it gets onto skin in quantity. Label mixed bottles with the date and strength, and keep them well away from food and drink. Fruity flavours and colourful packaging can look appealing to small children, so a high shelf or a lockable box is a sensible habit.

For shelf life, check the best-before date printed on the bottle or box. Unopened, a shortfill generally keeps well when stored properly. Once mixed with nicotine, aim to use the bottle within a few months. Use it sooner if the colour darkens, the smell turns sharp or the taste goes flat.

As for resting, this is a simple fruit blend, so it does not need weeks of steeping. After mixing in shots, a good shake and a rest of several hours to overnight is plenty. If you notice a few air bubbles in the liquid, loosen the cap for ten minutes or so and let them settle before you fill the tank.

Honest Pros and Cons

Every product has trade-offs, and this one is no exception. Here is a fair summary, so you can weigh it up against your own habits before ordering.

What works in its favour:

  • Strong value per millilitre compared with 10ml bottles, especially for daily vapers.
  • Flexible nicotine: leave it at 0mg, or mix to about 1.6mg or 3mg with standard shots.
  • A recognisable, easy-to-like flavour that does not ask you to learn a complex blend.
  • One large bottle means fewer orders, less packaging and fewer last-minute top-ups.
  • Suits the popular sub-ohm tanks sold with most modern kits.

What counts against it:

  • It needs a compatible device, so it is no use in a closed pod kit or a disposable.
  • You have to buy and mix nicotine shots separately if you want any nicotine.
  • Strengths above roughly 3mg/ml are not practical in the bottle.
  • Sweet fruit liquids can shorten coil life, so you will go through coils faster than with an unsweetened flavour.
  • The bottle is bulky for carrying, and decanting is a small extra chore.

If the pros sound right for you, there is a sensible way to build on the purchase. Take a look at the current vape deals to pair the bottle with a tank or spare coils, or browse the 5 for 10 e-liquid offers if you like to keep a few different 10ml flavours on rotation alongside your main bottle. A second flavour gives the palate a break and stops one profile from wearing thin. On balance, the case for this bottle is strongest when you already own the right tank, you vape every day and you like a bright, sweet fruit profile. If any of those three is missing, weigh the cons more heavily before you order, and if you are unsure, a smaller bottle or a different format is a cheaper way to find out.

Troubleshooting Common Problems

If a tank tastes wrong, the liquid is rarely the culprit. Most problems trace back to coils, power or technique, and they are quick to fix once you know what to look for.

  • Burnt or acrid taste. Usually a worn coil or a dry wick. Replace the coil, prime the new one properly, and do not chain-vape at high wattage, which can empty the wick faster than it refills.
  • Flat or muted flavour. Often a tired coil, or vaper's tongue after days on the same sweet flavour. Swap in a fresh coil and try a different flavour for a day to reset your palate.
  • Gurgling and spitting. Condensation in the airflow or an overfilled tank. Tip the tank upside down, wipe the drip tip and make sure you have not filled past the maximum line.
  • Leaking from the tank. Check that the coil is screwed in fully, that the o-rings are seated and that the fill port is shut. Over-tightening can damage seals, so firm is enough.
  • Dry or weak hits. Wicking cannot keep up with the power setting. Lower the wattage slightly, take slower pulls and give the coil a few seconds between puffs. High-VG liquid is thick, so it benefits from a coil with larger wicking holes.
  • Throat harshness. At higher nicotine strengths, high wattage tends to make the throat hit feel sharper. Try lowering the power or removing one shot rather than changing the flavour.

Sticky residue around the tank and bottle neck is normal with sweet liquids. A damp cloth sorts it out, and it is worth doing before it dries hard. If your coil keeps failing early despite correct priming and sensible power, check that you are using the right coil series and wattage range for your tank.

When none of this helps, or you suspect a faulty bottle, it is worth getting in touch. The contact page is the quickest route, and it helps to have your order number and a clear description of the problem ready when you write.

Delivery, Age Checks and Getting Help

Ordering is simple, but a few details are worth knowing before you click. E-liquid is an age-restricted product, so the checkout process includes an age confirmation step, and we cannot sell to anyone under 18. The age verification page explains what is needed and why, so you can sort it in advance rather than hitting it for the first time at the last step.

Delivery options and timings are set out on the shipping page, and they can vary depending on the method you choose and where you live. It is worth reading it before you order if you are on a deadline, because dispatch times and delivery windows are easier to plan around when you know them up front. Larger shortfills are heavier than a single pod kit, so bear that in mind if you are ordering a mixed basket.

When the parcel arrives, give the bottle a quick check. The cap should be sealed, the label should show the flavour, volume and ratio, and the bottle should not be leaking. If something looks wrong, photograph it before opening anything and get in touch straight away. Opened or mixed e-liquid is hard to deal with after the fact, so it pays to inspect it first.

For anything not covered on this page, the site FAQ and the contact team are the best next stop. Questions about nicotine strengths, coil compatibility or whether a particular device suits a high-VG liquid are all things the team can usually answer. Buying the right gear the first time is cheaper than correcting it later.

If you are still undecided, remember that a shortfill is the most economical route only if you already have the right hardware. If you are not sure, start by checking your tank's specifications, then come back to the bottle. And if the flavour sounds like your sort of thing, the rest of the Caliypso range is worth a browse alongside it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Caliypso Pineapple Lemonade 100ml nicotine-free?

Yes, as supplied it contains 0mg/ml nicotine. It is a shortfill, so the 120ml bottle holds 100ml of liquid and leaves roughly 20ml of room for you to add nicotine shots yourself if you want them. If you prefer no nicotine at all, leave the bottle as it is and fill your tank directly. Always check the label on your bottle for the latest details.

How many nicotine shots can I add to the bottle?

You can add up to two standard 10ml shots, because the bottle has about 20ml of headroom. One shot gives a lighter mix and two gives a stronger one. Do not try to squeeze in more than the bottle holds, and do not add shots to a bottle that already contains nicotine. Shake well after mixing, and label the date and strength.

What strength will I get with two 18mg nicotine shots?

Two 10ml shots at 18mg/ml in a 120ml bottle give 3mg/ml. One shot gives about 1.6mg/ml across 110ml. If your shots are 20mg/ml, two give roughly 3.3mg/ml. The maths is simple dilution, so always read the strength printed on the shot bottle instead of assuming, and mix only when you are sure of the figures.

Which devices work best with this shortfill?

It is designed for sub-ohm tanks and refillable devices that handle high-VG liquid, typically with coils between about 0.15 and 0.6 ohm. It is not intended for disposables or closed pod kits, and compact pod systems with high-resistance coils may wick it poorly. Check your device's recommended VG ratio and wattage range, and use the correct coil series for your tank.

How long will a 100ml bottle last me?

That depends on your usage. A moderate user taking 3 to 5ml a day may get 20 to 30 days from a bottle, whereas a heavy sub-ohm user at high wattage could finish it in under two weeks. Measure how much liquid your tank uses over a few days and divide 100ml by that figure to get a reliable estimate for your own habits.

Does it need to steep after I add nicotine?

Not for long. This is a simple fruit blend, so a thorough shake and a rest of a few hours, or overnight, is plenty. If you see air bubbles after mixing, loosen the cap for around ten minutes to let them settle. Shake the bottle again briefly before filling your tank so the nicotine and flavoured liquid are evenly combined.

Why does the flavour taste different at higher wattage?

Higher power heats the coil more, which tends to push the lemon forward and thin out the pineapple sweetness, so the vape feels crisper and warmer. Lower power usually keeps the pineapple rounder and sweeter. Adjust in small steps of a few watts, staying inside the range printed on your coil. Also check that your coil is not worn, since a tired coil mutes flavour.

How should I store the bottle once it is open?

Keep it upright, tightly capped, in a cool and dark place away from heat, sunlight and cars. Wipe the nozzle after each fill, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Once you have added nicotine, label the bottle with the date and strength, and aim to use it within a few months for the best flavour and consistency.

Can I return an opened or mixed bottle?

Opened or mixed e-liquid is generally difficult to deal with once it has been used, so check the bottle as soon as it arrives. If it is damaged, leaking or not what you ordered, contact the team through the contact page with your order number and a photo. The shipping page also sets out delivery and returns details.

Do you check my age when I order?

Yes. E-liquid is an age-restricted product and we cannot sell to anyone under 18, so age confirmation is part of the checkout process. The age verification page explains what is required. If you have any trouble completing the check, the contact team can talk you through what to do before you place your order.
