Caliypso Triple Melon Lemonade 100ml at a Glance

Caliypso 100ml Shortfill E-Liquid Triple Melon Lemonade is a nicotine-free vape juice in a large bottle, priced at £7.99 on VapeShopOnline. It sits in the Caliypso range, a line of 37 listings that share one format, one strength and one price, and differ only in flavour. This one pairs a trio of melons with a lemonade finish, which places it on the juicy, refreshing side of the fruit category rather than the heavy dessert side.

The idea behind a shortfill is simple. You receive 100ml of flavoured liquid at 0mg nicotine, in a bottle that is larger than the liquid inside it. The spare headroom is there so that an adult who already uses nicotine can add nicotine shots and reach a low to moderate strength. Everyone else can vape the liquid exactly as it arrives, with no mixing at all.

Here is the short version of what the listing covers:

  • Product: Caliypso Triple Melon Lemonade shortfill e-liquid
  • Flavour: three melons with a tangy lemonade finish
  • Liquid volume: 100ml
  • Nicotine as supplied: 0mg/ml
  • Price: £7.99 per bottle
  • Format: shortfill, with nicotine shots sold separately and entirely optional
  • Age restriction: adults aged 18+ only

Because every bottle in the range costs the same, choosing between them comes down to taste alone. Nobody has to weigh up a price gap or a strength difference, which makes the range easy to shop when you are working your way through several flavours.

The rest of this page is organised so you can jump to whatever you need. There is a close look at the flavour, an explanation of how the 100ml format works, the numbers that matter before you order, a step-by-step guide to adding shots, advice on strength, device and coil pairing, storage, honest pros and cons, troubleshooting, and the practical details on delivery and age checks. Read the lot if you are new to shortfills, or skip straight to the part that answers your question.

What Melons and Lemonade Taste Like Together

Start with the name, because it tells you most of what to expect. Three melons give the liquid its body, and lemonade supplies the sharp, sweetened edge that stops the whole thing turning syrupy. The listing does not spell out which three melons are involved, so it would be wrong to promise specifics. Blends of this type commonly lean on watermelon for the juicy sweetness, honeydew for a soft, pale and slightly floral note, and a cantaloupe-style melon for something rounder and a touch muskier. Treat that as a general guide to the family of flavours rather than a recipe card.

On the inhale, expect a cool, watery sweetness. Melon flavours tend to read as light, and light flavours suit big, airy draws from a sub-ohm tank. The lemonade shows up as the vape moves across the tongue, bringing a gentle tartness that tightens the sweetness and keeps it from sticking around.

The exhale is where the three-melon idea earns its keep. Instead of one flat watermelon note, the layers tend to separate slightly, so you notice the juicy front and then something softer behind it. The lemon finish cleans up the end of each puff, which is why this style of flavour is often easy to vape for long sessions without palate fatigue.

One point worth stressing is that the listing carries lemonade and lemon tags only. There is no ice or menthol tag, so do not buy this expecting a frosty, throat-chilling hit. Any sense of coolness comes from the fruit and the citrus, not from a cooling agent. If that sounds like what you want, good. If you prefer arctic blasts, you will probably find it milder than you hoped.

For comparison, the plainer Original Lemonade from the same brand shows what the lemonade base tastes like with no melon on top. Trying both is a fair way to hear exactly what the melon blend adds.

How a 100ml Shortfill Bottle Actually Works

Shortfills exist because of how UK rules treat nicotine. E-liquid that contains nicotine is limited to small bottles and a capped strength, which is why nicotine-containing refill bottles are small. A large bottle is only possible if it holds nicotine-free liquid. So the manufacturer fills a big bottle with flavoured, nicotine-free liquid, leaves some empty space, and lets the buyer decide whether to add a separate nicotine shot. That is the whole trick, and it is why the format is called a shortfill: the bottle is deliberately "short" of being full.

Bottles in this size class are commonly a little bigger than the 100ml of liquid they hold, so check the label on yours for the exact capacity. The gap matters only if you plan to add shots. If you do not, you can ignore it entirely and simply pour or squeeze from the bottle as you would any other.

You can browse the wider shortfill e-liquids collection to see how this bottle compares with other brands, and the format is worth understanding before you decide it is the right buy. Compared with nic salts, a shortfill is a different animal. Nicotine salt e-liquids come in 10ml bottles with the nicotine already inside, usually at higher strengths, and they are designed for small pod devices that like thinner liquid. A shortfill is designed for larger tanks that hold more liquid and produce bigger vapour with a lower strength, or none.

Here is the practical difference in everyday use:

  • A shortfill gives you far more millilitres for your money, which suits anyone who vapes frequently.
  • A shortfill needs a suitable tank and coil, whereas many nic salts work in basic pod devices.
  • A shortfill arrives at 0mg, so any nicotine is something you add deliberately, in measured amounts.
  • A shortfill generally suits larger airflow and warmer, cloudier vapour, rather than the tight, strong draw of a pod.

None of these points makes one format better. They simply fit different habits, and the Caliypso bottle sits firmly in the tank-and-big-bottle camp.

Specs and Numbers Worth Checking First

Numbers help when you are deciding whether a bottle is worth buying, so here are the ones that matter, with the arithmetic shown.

At £7.99 for 100ml, the liquid costs roughly 8p per millilitre before any nicotine shots. That figure is a handy yardstick when you compare against small bottles, since a 10ml bottle needs ten purchases to match one of these. Nicotine shots, if you want them, are bought separately and add to the cost, so work out the total with your chosen strength included before you compare.

Here is a quick reference of the figures in this listing:

  • Liquid per bottle: 100ml
  • Nicotine as supplied: 0mg/ml
  • Price per bottle: £7.99
  • Approximate cost per ml: 8p
  • Flavour tags on the listing: lemonade and lemon
  • Puff count: not applicable, because this is a liquid and not a disposable
  • VG/PG ratio: printed on the bottle label, so check it before pairing with a device

The puff-count line deserves a word of explanation. Disposable vapes are marketed by puff count because the battery and liquid are sealed together. A bottle of liquid has no such figure, since how long it lasts depends entirely on your device, your wattage and your habits.

You can still make a sensible estimate. Suppose you get through about 3ml of liquid a day in a sub-ohm tank, which is only an example and varies a lot between people. At that rate 100ml lasts a little over a month. If you vape lightly, say 1ml a day, the bottle stretches to over three months, and in that case storage and freshness become more important, which is covered further down the page.

One last point about numbers: the delivery threshold. Free UK delivery applies on orders over £20, and since one bottle is £7.99, three bottles come to £23.97 and clear the line, while two come to £15.98 and do not. If you are stocking up anyway, a third bottle in another flavour often makes more sense than paying for delivery on two.

Adding Nicotine Shots: A Careful Step-by-Step

This section is for adults who already use nicotine and want to turn the 0mg bottle into a low-strength liquid. If you do not use nicotine, skip it. Nothing about the flavour requires a shot, and nicotine is addictive, so nobody should start using it because a bottle happens to have room.

The process is straightforward once you have done it once. Work somewhere you can wipe clean, keep the bottle away from children and pets, and take your time.

  • Step one: Wash and dry your hands, and lay a paper towel under the bottle. Nicotine liquid on bare skin is best avoided.
  • Step two: Open the shortfill bottle. Many have a screw cap with a child-resistant mechanism, and the nozzle tip pulls out of the neck beneath it.
  • Step three: Open the nicotine shot and squeeze the contents into the shortfill bottle. A 10ml shot is the usual size.
  • Step four: Push the nozzle back in firmly and fasten the cap until it is tight.
  • Step five: Shake the bottle for around thirty seconds, then give it a few more shakes over the next hour. Thicker liquid needs a little persuasion to blend fully.
  • Step six: Let it rest for a short while before use, and shake again just before you fill the tank.

A few cautions are worth repeating. Never pour the shot into a nearly full bottle, since the whole point of the headroom is to hold it. If the bottle is already topped to the brim with other liquid, you will spill. Always wipe spills straight away, and wash your hands afterwards.

It is also worth knowing that a shot dilutes the flavour slightly. You are adding a different liquid, so the melon and lemon notes sit a touch further back than in the unmixed bottle. For most people the change is small, but if flavour is your priority, a lower number of shots keeps it closest to what the maker intended.

Keep the empty shot bottle and any leftover packaging out of reach, and dispose of them as your local rules require.

Picking a Strength When You Mix Your Own

Choosing a strength is mostly arithmetic, and the arithmetic is gentler than people expect. The bottle starts at 0mg, so everything you add comes from the shots, and the numbers below assume the common 10ml shot at 18mg/ml. Check the strength printed on any shot you buy before you rely on these figures.

  • No shots: 0mg/ml, with 100ml of liquid.
  • One shot: 180mg of nicotine in 110ml, which comes to about 1.6mg/ml.
  • Two shots: 360mg of nicotine in 120ml, which comes to 3mg/ml and fills the bottle to the top.

Those are the realistic options. Anything stronger is not practical inside the headroom, because reaching, for instance, 6mg/ml with 18mg shots needs five of them, which is more than the bottle can hold. If you need a higher strength than a shortfill can offer, a nic salt is the more sensible product, and you can look through nicotine-free e-liquids as well if you would rather skip nicotine altogether.

How should you pick between the options? Think about the device. Shortfills are used in tanks that produce large, airy puffs, and a bigger puff delivers more liquid in one go. That means a low strength in a large tank can feel more noticeable than the same number would in a restrictive pod. People moving from a pod kit to a sub-ohm tank often find that a lower figure than they expect is enough.

A sensible approach is to start low and adjust. If one shot feels thin, you can step up to two on the next bottle. Going the other direction is just as easy, because the unmixed 0mg bottle is always there to dilute. Do not try to correct strength by guesswork mid-bottle, since adding extra liquid makes the sums harder to track.

If you vape purely for the flavour, 0mg is a perfectly reasonable choice, and the melon and lemonade notes come through most clearly without a shot to dilute them.

Tanks, Kits and Coils That Suit This Liquid

Not every device is a good match for a large bottle of liquid like this one. Shortfills are generally formulated thicker than nic salt liquids, and thick liquid wants a coil with generous wicking holes so it can soak through quickly. That points to sub-ohm tanks and larger refillable devices, which is exactly the territory this bottle is aimed at. The VG/PG split is printed on the label, and it is worth reading before you commit to a particular coil.

If you are buying hardware from scratch, the vape kits collection is the natural starting point, and you should look for a kit with a tank that accepts replaceable coils and lists support for higher-VG liquid in its manual. Under UK rules, tanks hold up to 2ml, which means you will refill often, but it also means a tank is quick to rinse and switch between flavours.

The coil is the part that makes or breaks the experience. A fresh coil with plenty of surface area tends to bring out fruit flavours well, and the replacement coils range lets you match a coil to the tank you already own. As a general pattern:

  • Lower resistance coils pair with higher wattage and warmer, bigger vapour.
  • Higher resistance coils run cooler and use less liquid, which can suit lighter use.
  • Whatever you choose, stay within the wattage range printed on the coil itself.

Priming matters as much as the choice of coil. After you fit a new coil, drip a little liquid directly onto the cotton, fill the tank, and then wait five to ten minutes before the first puff. Skipping this step is the most common reason a brand new coil tastes burnt, and a burnt coil spoils any flavour, however good the liquid is.

Finally, a note on compatibility. A shortfill bottle is not meant for sealed disposables or for pod devices designed around nic salts only. If your device manual says it is limited to nic salts or to thin liquid, follow that advice. Using a liquid outside its design can lead to weak flavour, leaks or a short coil life.

Who This Flavour Suits and Who Should Skip It

Triple Melon Lemonade is a good fit for people who enjoy fruit flavours that are bright rather than heavy. If you already like watermelon-style liquids but find them one-dimensional, the extra melon layers and the lemonade lift give you more to notice. It also suits anyone who vapes steadily through the day, because light fruit flavours tend to stay pleasant over many puffs instead of becoming cloying.

It will also appeal to people who like to rotate flavours. At the same price for every bottle in the brand's range, it costs nothing extra to run two or three on rotation, and a melon blend pairs well as a contrast to something richer. The sweeter, rounder Strawberry Lemonade makes a useful comparison, since it keeps the same lemonade base but swaps the melon trio for berry.

Think twice if any of these describe you:

  • You want a strong ice or menthol hit. The listing carries no cooling tags, so this will feel milder.
  • You use a small pod device built for nic salts. A shortfill is the wrong fit for that hardware.
  • You want a higher nicotine strength than two shots can reach.
  • You prefer dessert, tobacco or sweet-shop flavours. Fruit and citrus will probably feel thin by comparison.
  • You want a no-fuss, no-mixing experience in one sealed unit, in which case a disposable is the simpler route.

There is also the question of whether a shortfill suits you as a first purchase. If you have never used one, the format asks for a tank, coils and a bit of learning. That is manageable, and thousands of adults do it every day, but it is a step up from sealed devices. The guidance in this page should get you there, and the support team can help if you get stuck.

Finally, remember that this product is for adults. Vaping is intended for people who already smoke or use nicotine, and anyone under 18 must not buy it. If you do not currently use nicotine, you do not need to start, and the 0mg bottle is a way of enjoying a flavour without nicotine, not a reason to add it.

Storing the Bottle and Keeping Flavour Fresh

A 100ml bottle takes a long time to finish, which makes storage worth thinking about. Treat it like any other flavoured liquid: it keeps best when it is protected from heat, light and air.

The ideal spot is cool and dark, such as a cupboard or a drawer, away from radiators, windowsills and direct sunlight. Heat can alter the character of the flavour over time, and sunlight tends to darken the colour of the liquid and flatten fruit notes. Never leave the bottle in a car on a warm day, because a hot interior can turn a fresh fruit flavour dull in a surprisingly short time.

Keep the bottle upright, with the cap closed firmly and the nozzle pushed down. A loose tip is a leading cause of sticky mess in bags and pockets, and it also lets air in, which is not ideal for the flavour. If you carry liquid with you, decant a small amount into a smaller bottle designed for the job and leave the main bottle at home.

Here are a few more storage habits worth adopting:

  • Write the date you opened the bottle on a label or a piece of tape, so you can keep track of freshness.
  • Wipe the neck clean after every refill, since residue attracts dust and makes the cap messy.
  • Shake gently before filling the tank, particularly if the bottle has been resting a while.
  • If you have added nicotine shots, store the bottle somewhere children and pets cannot reach, because it now contains nicotine.
  • Check the best before date printed on the bottle, and use the liquid within that window.

Light users who take months to finish a bottle can also decant a portion into a smaller bottle and keep the rest sealed. That limits how often the main bottle is opened and exposed to air.

If a bottle ever smells off, looks strongly discoloured, or tastes noticeably different from when you first opened it, stop using it and contact the shop. Fruit liquids are especially good at showing their age in the aroma, so trust your nose.

Honest Pros and Cons of This Bottle

No product suits everybody, and a fair verdict means weighing both columns. Here is how Triple Melon Lemonade looks from a buyer's side.

What works in its favour

  • It is good value per millilitre at roughly 8p, and the single price across the Caliypso range makes budgeting easy.
  • The 0mg starting point gives you full control, so you can vape it as supplied or add shots deliberately.
  • Melon with lemonade is a refreshing flavour that does not weigh heavily on the palate.
  • The large bottle means far fewer reorders than with 10ml bottles, which also reduces packaging waste.
  • It works well in the sort of tank that gives generous, airy puffs.

What counts against it

  • It needs a suitable tank and coil, so it is not a plug-and-play choice for pod users.
  • Adding shots takes a few minutes and a little care, and it slightly softens the flavour.
  • The strengths you can reach are limited to the low end by the size of the bottle.
  • There is no ice or menthol element, so anyone chasing a cold hit may be disappointed.
  • It lacks a published puff count, because puff counts only apply to sealed devices.

Weigh those points against how you actually vape. If you have a sub-ohm tank, enjoy fruit and want a bottle that lasts, the positives outweigh the negatives for most people. If you use a small pod device or want something with a cold finish, you will be happier looking elsewhere.

This listing does not currently carry a multibuy discount, so if price matters most, keep an eye on the vape deals page, where offers across the store are gathered together and change from time to time. Prices and promotions can move, so check the product page at the time you order.

Fixing Weak Flavour, Leaks and Burnt Hits

Most problems with shortfills come down to the coil, the filling routine or the settings, and almost all of them have a simple fix. Here are the common ones, with what to try first.

  • Weak or washed-out flavour: This is usually a tired coil. Replace it if it has been in use for a couple of weeks, and make sure your wattage is within the printed range. Also check that you shook the bottle after adding shots.
  • Burnt or acrid taste: Almost always a dry hit. Prime the new coil properly, keep the tank above the minimum level, and avoid chain vaping, which does not give the cotton time to re-soak.
  • Gurgling or spitting: Excess liquid is reaching the coil or the drip tip. Wipe the tip, check the tank seal, and consider lowering the airflow slightly.
  • Leaking from the tank: Check the o-rings and make sure the tank is assembled firmly. Do not overfill beyond the stated line.
  • Leaking from the bottle: The nozzle tip may not be seated. Push it in firmly and tighten the cap.
  • Sticky residue: Wipe the neck and the tank threads after every refill.
  • Flavour fading mid-session: Palate fatigue is common with a single flavour. Switch to something different for a day.

If the liquid seems too thick for your coil, the cause may be a mismatch between the liquid and the hardware. Check the VG/PG ratio on the label against the range your coil is rated for, and try a coil with larger wicking holes.

Also bear in mind that adding a nicotine shot can change how the liquid feels in the throat. Even a small amount of nicotine adds a slight scratch that is absent at 0mg, so if you notice sharpness after mixing, that is expected and not a fault.

When you have worked through the list and the problem persists, get in touch with us through the contact page. Tell us which device and coil you are using, what the symptom is, and when it started, since those three details speed up an answer considerably.

Delivery, Age Checks and Where to Get Help

Ordering is straightforward, but a few practical points are worth knowing before you click.

Free UK delivery applies to orders over £20, and orders placed before 4pm are dispatched that day. Every item we sell is 100% genuine, which matters for liquids in particular, since a bottle that has been tampered with or sourced from a dubious supplier can taste wrong or fail to perform. With bottles priced at £7.99 each, three of them take you over the free delivery line, and you can use that to try a second and third flavour without paying for postage.

Because vaping products are strictly for adults, you must be 18 or over to buy. We run age checks on orders. Read the age verification page so you know what to expect before you check out, and have the details ready so nothing delays your order.

For full delivery timings, carriers and charges for orders under the free threshold, the shipping information page is the place to look, and it also sets out how returns work. Check the terms there before you open anything you might want to send back. If your parcel arrives damaged, or you receive the wrong flavour, keep the packaging, take a clear photograph and contact us with your order number so we can sort it out promptly.

Before you buy, run through this short checklist:

  • Do you have a tank and coil that suit thicker liquid?
  • Have you decided between 0mg and one or two nicotine shots?
  • Is there somewhere cool, dark and out of reach to store the bottle?
  • Will your basket clear £20 for free delivery?

If the answer to all four is yes, you are ready to order. If not, the earlier sections of this page cover each point in detail.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Best value per ml in the category
  • Choose your own device and coil
  • Available in a wide strength ladder

Cons

  • Refilling can leak if you overfill
  • Coil priming has a small learning curve
  • You handle the bottle — less discreet than pods

Customer Buying Tips

  • Match the strength to how much you smoked: 20+/day → 10-20 mg nic salt; 10/day → 10 mg; under 5/day → 3-6 mg freebase.
  • Match the ratio to your device: pod kits take 50/50, sub-ohm tanks take 70/30 shortfill.
  • Don't overfill: leaving the airhole clear prevents gurgling and leaking.
  • Shake before use so the nicotine and flavour integrate evenly.

Frequently asked questions

Does Caliypso Triple Melon Lemonade contain nicotine?

No. It is sold as a shortfill at 0mg/ml, so the 100ml of flavoured liquid in the bottle has no nicotine. The bottle is larger than the liquid so that an adult who already uses nicotine can add shots, but that is entirely optional and the liquid can be vaped exactly as supplied. Nicotine shots are not included and are bought separately. Nicotine is addictive, so it should only ever be added by someone who already uses it.

How many nicotine shots can I add to this bottle?

The headroom in the bottle is designed for up to two standard 10ml shots, though you should check the capacity printed on your own bottle. With 18mg/ml shots, one shot gives about 1.6mg/ml and two shots give 3mg/ml. Adding more than the bottle can hold will cause spills and make the strength impossible to calculate, so stay within the available space. For higher strengths, a nic salt is usually a better choice.

What does Triple Melon Lemonade taste like?

Expect a juicy, light melon sweetness, built from three melon notes, with a tangy lemonade finish that keeps it from tasting syrupy. The listing does not name the three melons, so descriptions of specific varieties would only be a guess. It carries lemonade and lemon tags but no ice or menthol tag, so it should taste cool and refreshing from the fruit rather than from a cooling agent.

Can I use this in a pod kit or disposable vape?

A shortfill is not designed for sealed disposables, and it should not be poured into one. Refillable pod devices vary: many are built around thin nic salt liquids and may struggle with a thicker shortfill, which can cause weak flavour or burnt hits. Check your device manual for supported liquid types and the VG/PG ratio printed on the bottle. A sub-ohm tank or larger refillable device is the most natural match.

What is the VG/PG ratio of this e-liquid?

The ratio is printed on the bottle label, and we do not quote a figure on this page so that it cannot go out of date or differ from your bottle. Shortfills in general are formulated thicker than nic salts, so a tank and coil with generous wicking holes is advisable. If you are unsure whether your coil is suitable, read its packaging or contact us with the coil name and we will help.

How long does a 100ml bottle last?

It depends entirely on your device and habits. As a simple example, someone using around 3ml a day would take a little over a month to finish 100ml, while a light user at 1ml a day could take over three months. Higher wattage and bigger airflow use liquid faster. Because lighter users keep the bottle open for longer, good storage matters, so keep it cool, dark and tightly sealed.

How much does it cost, and is delivery free?

The bottle is £7.99, which works out at roughly 8p per millilitre before any nicotine shots. Free UK delivery applies on orders over £20, so three bottles at £23.97 qualify, while two at £15.98 do not. Orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day, and everything we sell is 100% genuine. See the shipping page for charges on smaller orders.

Do I need to be 18 to buy this product?

Yes. Vaping products are strictly for adults aged 18 or over, and we carry out age checks on orders. Have your details ready at checkout, and read our age verification page to see what to expect. Nobody under 18 should buy, handle or use e-liquid, and bottles that contain added nicotine should always be stored out of reach of children and pets.

How should I store the bottle once it is open?

Keep it upright with the cap closed and the nozzle seated, somewhere cool, dark and away from direct sunlight or radiators. Heat and light dull fruit flavours over time, and a loose cap lets air in. Wipe the neck after each refill, shake gently before use, and note the date you opened it. If nicotine shots have been added, keep it well out of the reach of children and pets.

What should I do if the flavour tastes weak or burnt?

Weak flavour usually means a tired coil, so replace it if it has been in use for a couple of weeks and check your wattage against the range printed on the coil. A burnt taste often comes from a dry hit, so prime new coils properly and keep the tank topped up. If you have tried those fixes and the problem continues, contact us with your device and coil details.
