Snowplus Swift Pod Kit in Black Lemonade Ice: overview

The Snowplus Swift Prefilled Pod Kit is a compact, rechargeable pod system built around a replaceable, factory-filled pod. This listing covers the Black Lemonade Ice flavour, a dark, tart lemonade profile finished with a cooling edge. Rather than a throwaway device, you get a reusable battery body that you charge over USB-C and a pod that you swap when the liquid runs out. That is the format most UK vapers have settled on since single-use vapes were banned from sale across the UK on 1 June 2025.

The Swift sits in the simple end of the pod market. There is no screen, no adjustable wattage and no airflow ring to fiddle with. You pull on the mouthpiece and the device fires, which makes it a sensible starting point for adults switching from cigarettes and an easy pocket option for experienced vapers who just want something low-effort for the commute or a night out.

Because the pod arrives filled, there is no bottle, no dripping and no learning curve around priming a coil. The trade-off is that you are tied to the flavours and strengths Snowplus makes for this platform, and you cannot top the pod up yourself. We cover that trade-off honestly in the value section below, because for some people a refillable kit is cheaper over a year, while for others the convenience clearly wins.

This page is written for adult UK customers. Vaping products are for people aged 18 and over, and are intended for current smokers or vapers. If you do not currently smoke or vape, this is not a product to start on. If you do smoke and you are trying to stop, a pod kit like this is one of several tools worth discussing with your local stop smoking service, which in England you can reach through the NHS.

In the sections that follow we walk through the specification, how it performs, what the flavour is like, how it is built, how long the battery lasts, how the mesh coil behaves, which nicotine strength to pick, who the kit suits, how to use it, how to fix common faults, and how it stacks up on price against realistic alternatives.

Key specifications at a glance

Snowplus can tweak specifications between production batches, so always treat the figures printed on your own box as final. The list below reflects the typical specification for a closed pod kit of this type and what you should expect to see on the Swift.

  • Format: rechargeable pod kit with a replaceable prefilled pod, sold here as a kit with the Black Lemonade Ice pod included.
  • E-liquid capacity: 2ml per pod, which is the maximum tank size permitted for nicotine vaping products in the UK.
  • Nicotine: nicotine salt e-liquid, offered at or below the UK legal limit of 20mg/ml. Check the strength selector on this page for the options currently in stock.
  • Coil: built-in mesh coil in the pod, in the region of 1 ohm, which is typical for nicotine salt pods.
  • Battery: built-in rechargeable lithium-ion cell, typically around 400 to 550mAh in a body this size.
  • Charging: USB-C, with a typical full charge taking around 40 to 60 minutes.
  • Activation: draw-activated, so there is no firing button.
  • Estimated puffs per pod: roughly 400 to 600 at 20mg/ml, depending on how you vape.
  • Flavour in this listing: Black Lemonade Ice.

A word on the puff estimate. A 2ml pod does not hold a fixed number of puffs because a puff is not a fixed quantity. A short, light draw uses far less liquid than a long, hard one, and mesh coils are efficient enough that the difference shows. If you take two-second draws, you will sit toward the upper end of the range. If you chain vape with four-second draws, expect the lower end.

Everything on the list is also written to the UK rules. Pod capacity, nicotine strength, child-resistant and tamper-evident packaging, and the leaflet inside the box are all part of the requirements for vaping products notified to the MHRA. If something on your pack looks out of line with that, contact us before using it.

Performance and puff delivery

The Swift is designed around a restricted, mouth-to-lung style of draw, the kind that feels closest to pulling on a cigarette. You take the vapour into your mouth first, pause for a moment, then inhale. That draw pattern suits nicotine salts at 10mg to 20mg, because the throat hit is smooth enough to be comfortable and the nicotine absorbs quickly.

In practical terms, the first few draws after you fit a new pod are the ones to watch. A new pod needs a moment for the cotton to wet fully against the mesh. Take two or three gentle, short draws before you settle into normal use and you will avoid the dry, slightly burnt taste that is the most common complaint with any freshly fitted pod.

Once primed, vapour production is steady rather than dramatic. This is not a cloud-chasing device and it does not try to be. Output is moderate, the draw is firm without feeling tight, and the delivery stays consistent from the first puff of a pod to roughly the last quarter. Toward the end, you may notice flavour thinning slightly before the liquid actually runs out. That is normal for prefilled pods, where the wick has less liquid to feed the coil.

What to expect across a day:

  • A light vaper who takes a few draws an hour might stretch a pod across two or three days.
  • A moderate vaper replacing a pack of cigarettes a day will often get through a pod in one to two days.
  • A heavy, frequent user may finish a pod in under a day, especially at higher strengths where the urge to keep topping up nicotine is stronger.

Because the device is draw-activated, it can fire if something presses on the mouthpiece in a bag or pocket. Most pod systems include a short cut-off timer to protect the coil, and the Swift follows the same approach, but it is still sensible to keep the mouthpiece covered or the kit in a case when travelling. Do not rely on the cut-off alone if you are carrying it loose with keys.

Overall the performance is that of a competent, no-fuss pod. It does not try to out-power larger adjustable devices, and it should not be judged against them. Compare it against other closed pod kits at a similar size and price and it holds its own on consistency.

Flavour profile: Black Lemonade Ice

Black Lemonade Ice reads as a dark, fruity lemonade with a cooling finish. The name suggests a darker fruit base, in the blackcurrant or dark berry family, set against the sharper citrus of lemonade, and the profile in the pod follows that idea. The result sits between a sweet soft drink and a tart sherbet.

Inhale: the first impression is the sweet, slightly jammy dark fruit, followed almost immediately by a crisp lemon note that keeps the sweetness from becoming heavy. If you have ever had a blackcurrant squash topped with lemonade, the structure will be familiar. The fruit side is darker and rounder than a standard red berry flavour, with less of the candy character.

Exhale: the cooling element comes through on the way out. It is an ice-style cooling rather than a heavy menthol blast, so you get a clean, fresh finish at the back of the throat and on the tongue without it dominating the fruit. Anyone who finds strong menthol harsh should find this comfortable. If you want a very strong chill, you may find it mild.

Sweetness: moderate. Prefilled nicotine salt pods are generally sweeter than refillable freebase liquids, and this one is no exception, but the lemon acidity does a reasonable job of keeping it from becoming cloying across a full pod.

Consistency: flavour tends to hold well through the pod. As with any sweet liquid, the coil will build a little residue over time, which can flatten the taste in the last quarter of the pod. This is a normal consequence of sweeteners in e-liquid and not a fault.

If you are deciding between flavour families, think of Black Lemonade Ice as the alternative to a plain ice or menthol pod for people who want something with more going on. If you prefer dessert or tobacco profiles, a different Snowplus flavour will suit you better, and it is worth checking the other variants listed on our site before ordering.

One practical point: flavour perception changes with nicotine strength. A 10mg pod tastes slightly fuller and sweeter than a 20mg pod, because the higher strength brings more throat hit that can mask some of the fruit.

Design and build quality

The Swift follows the familiar slim, rounded pod kit template. The body is compact enough to disappear into a jeans pocket and light enough that you notice it less than a smartphone. The shell is a hard-wearing finish designed to resist scuffs from keys and coins, and the lines are simple with no sharp edges that catch on fabric.

Pod fit: the pod seats into the top of the body and is held in place by a snug friction fit with contacts that complete the circuit to the coil. A well-made pod should click or press in firmly with no wobble. If a pod sits loose, take it out and refit it before assuming a fault, because a partially seated pod is the most common cause of a device that seems dead.

Mouthpiece: the mouthpiece is moulded into the pod and shaped for comfortable lip contact. It is not oversized, so it suits a restricted draw and does not feel awkward for people with smaller mouths.

Airflow: airflow is fixed. There is no adjustment ring, which keeps the construction simple and removes a place for leaks to start, but it also means you cannot open up the draw. If you like an airier pull, a fixed-airflow pod kit may feel restricted to you.

Indicator light: a small LED shows when the device is firing and flashes to signal low battery or charging state. It is simple but sufficient, and there is no screen to crack or battery percentage to misread.

What to be realistic about:

  • This is a plastic-and-metal consumer device at a modest price. It will tolerate pockets and bags, but it is not built to survive being dropped onto concrete repeatedly.
  • The pod is a sealed consumable. Leaks can happen if the device is stored mouthpiece down, left in a hot car, or taken on a flight without equalising, so store it upright.
  • The finish will pick up fingerprints, as most glossy or soft-touch surfaces do. A quick wipe with a dry cloth is enough.

For the price bracket, the fit and finish are what you would expect from a mainstream pod kit. The details that matter most in daily use, namely how securely the pod seats and how the battery contacts behave, are the ones to inspect when it arrives.

Battery and charging

The Swift uses a built-in lithium-ion battery rather than a replaceable cell. In a body of this size, the capacity is typically somewhere between 400 and 550mAh. That figure sounds small next to a phone battery, but a pod kit draws very little power per puff, and a charge usually carries you through the better part of a day of moderate use.

The more useful way to think about battery is in relation to the pod. A 2ml pod gives roughly 400 to 600 puffs. A battery in the range above generally delivers enough power for one to two pods per charge for most users. In everyday terms, that means you can charge overnight and not think about it until the next evening, or top up for ten minutes at your desk if you are running low.

Charging steps:

  • Use the USB-C port on the base of the device.
  • Connect it to a standard 5V source, such as a phone charger, a laptop USB port or a power bank.
  • The indicator light shows charging status. A full charge typically takes under an hour.
  • Unplug once it is full. Do not leave it charging unattended overnight on a soft surface such as a bed or sofa.

Battery safety: keep the device away from heat, do not charge it if it is damp, and do not use a charger or cable that is visibly damaged. Use a good-quality cable and a reputable charger rather than a fast-charging brick with an unknown output. If the device becomes hot, swells, hisses or smells of burning, stop using it, unplug it, and move it away from anything flammable. Never put a damaged lithium-ion device in household bins.

Making the battery last:

  • Take shorter draws. The coil fires for the duration of the draw, so shorter pulls use less power.
  • Do not let it sit at 0 percent for days. Lithium-ion cells prefer to be topped up regularly.
  • Avoid leaving it in a cold or hot environment, since extreme temperatures reduce capacity temporarily.

Over many months the capacity of any lithium-ion battery fades slowly. With normal use you should not notice a meaningful drop within the first year. When the battery eventually reaches the end of its useful life, the whole device should go for recycling rather than the general waste, as covered in the final section.

Coil and mesh technology

The coil is the part that turns e-liquid into vapour, and in the Swift it sits inside the prefilled pod. This is a closed system, so the coil and the e-liquid are replaced together every time you change the pod. You never touch the coil, never prime it by hand and never need to match it to a particular liquid.

Why mesh: a mesh coil uses a flat, perforated sheet of resistance wire instead of a conventional round wire wound into a spiral. The sheet has a much larger surface area in contact with the cotton wick, which means the liquid is heated more evenly and more efficiently. In practice, that gives three noticeable benefits.

  • Flavour: more even heating tends to give a cleaner, more defined flavour than a basic round wire coil in the same size pod.
  • Consistency: because the heat is spread across a wider area, there are fewer hot spots, and the draw stays steadier from puff to puff.
  • Efficiency: a mesh coil reaches working temperature quickly, so you spend less battery warming up before vapour appears.

Resistance: pods designed for nicotine salts commonly sit around 1 ohm, give or take. That resistance suits a small battery and a restricted draw. Lower-resistance coils, in the 0.4 to 0.6 ohm range, are used with larger devices and freebase liquids for a looser, warmer draw, and they are not the type used in a compact kit like this.

Coil life: in a prefilled pod, coil life is matched to the amount of liquid. The manufacturer designs the wick and coil to last until the 2ml is used. You can shorten that life by taking very long, frequent draws without letting the wick recover, by vaping a nearly empty pod, or by firing the device with no liquid at the wick. When the pod is nearly empty, the right move is to replace it, not to keep pulling on it.

A note on dry hits: a dry or burnt taste almost always means the wick is not saturated. That can be because a new pod was not given a moment to prime, or because the pod is close to empty. A burnt coil cannot be fixed, and the pod should be replaced. Vaping a burnt coil is unpleasant and is not something to persist with.

Nicotine strength guidance and UK limits

In the UK, nicotine vaping products are capped at 20mg/ml (2 percent) nicotine strength. That limit covers every nicotine e-liquid and prefilled pod sold legally, and it is the same limit that applied to the disposables which have now been banned from sale. A pod kit like the Swift is therefore at the maximum 20mg, or it is offered in a lower option. Pods in the UK also cannot be larger than 2ml, and refill bottles cannot be larger than 10ml.

Check the strength options in the selector on this page, since the range we list can vary by flavour and by stock. Prefilled pods of this kind are typically made with nicotine salts, which are smoother than traditional freebase nicotine at the same strength. That is why 20mg salts can feel gentler than 20mg freebase.

Rough guide:

  • 20mg/ml: suits people who smoke around ten or more cigarettes a day, or who smoke their first cigarette soon after waking. It has the firmest throat hit and the fastest nicotine delivery. It is the usual starting point for a heavy smoker making the switch.
  • 10mg/ml: suits lighter smokers, social smokers, and vapers who are already stepping down. The throat hit is softer and the pod tends to last longer because you are not vaping as often to satisfy the craving.
  • Lower strengths and nicotine-free: if available, these suit people who have reduced considerably and want to keep the habit of vaping without much nicotine. Check what is listed before assuming they exist for this flavour.

Starting too low is a common mistake. Many people choose a low strength to be cautious, then end up vaping constantly to compensate and still crave a cigarette. If you are coming off a daily smoking habit, starting at a strength that actually satisfies you is more likely to keep you off cigarettes than a low strength you give up on. Equally, if you are not a smoker, you should not be using a nicotine product at all.

Signs the strength is wrong:

  • Too high: dizziness, nausea, a sweaty or shaky feeling, or a harsh throat hit that you dread. Stop, drink some water, and drop a strength next time.
  • Too low: constant chain vaping, irritability and cravings that do not settle after a day or two.

Nicotine is addictive. Keep pods and devices out of reach of children and pets, and do not use the product if you are pregnant or have a heart condition without speaking to a clinician first.

Who the Snowplus Swift is for

The Swift suits a fairly specific type of adult user. Understanding where it fits will save you money and frustration.

Good fit:

  • Smokers switching to vaping. The restricted draw and nicotine salt delivery mimic the feel of a cigarette more closely than a high-power sub-ohm setup. If you are replacing a daily habit, a closed pod kit is a straightforward first device with very little to learn.
  • People who dislike fiddling. There is nothing to fill, no coils to change and no settings to adjust. You swap a pod and carry on.
  • Vapers who want a pocket backup. Experienced users with a bigger device at home often keep a small pod kit for travel, work or a night out.
  • Former disposable users. Since single-use vapes were banned, many people have moved to a rechargeable pod kit with prefilled pods. The Swift is a like-for-like format with less waste and a battery you reuse.
  • Flavour-led users who like fruit and ice profiles. Black Lemonade Ice is a good example of the style of pod in this range.

Not a good fit:

  • Non-smokers and under-18s. Nicotine vapes are not for you, and it is illegal to sell them to anyone under 18 in the UK. We carry out age checks on orders.
  • Heavy daily vapers watching costs. Prefilled pods cost more per millilitre than bottled e-liquid. If you vape a lot, a refillable kit will be cheaper over time.
  • People who want big clouds or adjustable power. The Swift has fixed output and fixed airflow. Look at an adjustable device with a larger battery instead.
  • Anyone who wants to mix or choose their own liquid. You cannot refill this pod. Do not try to, since doing so can damage the pod, cause leaks and void any warranty.

If you are unsure which camp you are in, ask yourself how you want to vape. If the answer is simple, quick and tidy, the Swift is a reasonable choice. If the answer is tinker, customise and save money per ml, a refillable system is the better route.

How to use the Snowplus Swift

Getting started takes a couple of minutes. Follow the steps below the first time and the routine will become automatic.

First use:

  • Take the device and the pod out of the packaging. Check that the pod is sealed, undamaged and not leaking, and remove any protective film or plug from the mouthpiece and the base.
  • Press the pod firmly into the top of the body until it seats fully.
  • Charge the battery for a short while if the device arrives flat. Many kits arrive with a partial charge, but a top-up before first use is a sensible habit.
  • Wait a minute or two to let the liquid soak into the cotton wick. This is the step people skip, and it is the main cause of a dry first puff.
  • Take two or three gentle, short draws to prime the coil, then settle into normal use.

Everyday use:

  • Draw slowly and steadily on the mouthpiece. Because the device is draw-activated, there is no button to press.
  • Use a restricted mouth-to-lung style: draw into your mouth, pause, then inhale.
  • Leave a few seconds between draws so the wick can re-saturate. This protects the coil and keeps the flavour clean.

Changing the pod:

  • Pull the used pod straight out of the body.
  • Fit the new pod and press it in until it is secure.
  • Wait a minute and prime with a couple of gentle draws.

Storage and care:

  • Store the kit upright and out of direct sunlight or heat.
  • Keep the contacts clean and dry. A dry cotton bud will clear any residue.
  • Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not take apart the battery section or attempt to open the pod.

Never charge the device with a wet port, and avoid vaping while driving, since it can distract you. Be considerate of others: follow the rules of the venue, and remember that many workplaces, trains, and indoor public spaces have their own policies on where vaping is permitted.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with pod kits fall into a small number of categories, and most are easy to fix. Work through the checks below before concluding that a device is faulty.

The device does not fire:

  • Check that the pod is fully seated. Remove it and press it back in firmly.
  • Check the battery. Plug it in and let it charge for at least ten minutes, then try again.
  • Wipe the contacts on the pod and the body with a dry cotton bud. Residue can interrupt the circuit.
  • Try a different pod if you have one. If a new pod fires, the first pod is the problem.

The indicator flashes rapidly: a rapid flash usually signals either a low battery or a short-circuit protection event. Charge the device, refit the pod and try again. If the flashing continues with a fresh pod and a charged battery, contact us.

Dry or burnt taste:

  • The pod may not have primed. Wait a couple of minutes and take gentle, short draws.
  • The pod may be nearly empty. Check the window if one is present and replace the pod.
  • You may be chain vaping. Leave a longer gap between draws so the wick can catch up.

If the taste is burnt after a replacement and a prime, the coil has been damaged and the pod must be swapped.

Leaking: small amounts of condensation around the mouthpiece or base are normal. Wipe the device clean and store it upright. If liquid is pooling or running out, the pod may be cracked or poorly seated. Do not keep using a leaking pod, since e-liquid with nicotine can irritate skin. Wash any liquid off your hands with soap and water.

Weak flavour: usually a sign of a nearly empty pod, a coil with residue from a sweet liquid, or a nose blocked by a cold. Replace the pod if the others do not apply.

Gurgling: a gurgling sound means condensation in the airway. Blow gently through the mouthpiece, or wipe it with a tissue.

Battery not holding charge: try a different cable and charger first. If the device still drains very quickly with a good cable, it may be faulty, so contact us.

If none of the above fixes the issue, keep your order number and a short description or photo of the fault to hand and get in touch.

Value for money, alternatives and recycling

Judging value on a pod kit means looking at three things: the cost of the kit, the cost of each pod, and how many pods you will use. The Swift is priced as a convenience product. You pay a premium per millilitre for the prefilled pod, in exchange for zero maintenance and no handling of bottles.

Cost in practice: if you replace a pod every one to two days, you will buy somewhere between fifteen and thirty pods a month, which adds up. A lighter user who stretches a pod across several days will find the cost per week much more reasonable. Multi-pod bundles and kit-plus-spare-pod deals lower the average cost, so compare them on our site.

Fair comparisons:

  • Refillable pod kits from established makers such as Vaporesso, Uwell, SMOK and OXVA. These cost a similar amount for the device, but you refill with bottled e-liquid, which is cheaper per ml and gives you thousands of flavours. The trade-off is handling bottles, occasional leaks, and replacing coils. For anyone vaping daily, a refillable kit is usually cheaper over a year.
  • Other closed pod systems with prefilled pods. Comparable in convenience and price. The differences come down to flavour range, battery size, pod quality and how consistently the coils perform. The Swift is competitive in this group without standing out from it on specification alone.
  • Larger adjustable mod kits. More power, bigger clouds and more control, but bulkier, more complex and aimed at a different user.
  • Disposables. No longer legal to sell in the UK. A rechargeable pod kit gives you the same convenience with a reusable battery and far less waste.

Our view: the Swift is good value if you want a simple, pocketable, low-maintenance device and you are a light to moderate user. It is a weaker choice on cost if you vape heavily, in which case a refillable system will save you money.

Recycling: this is an electrical product containing a lithium-ion battery, so it must never go in household bins or normal recycling. In the UK, shops that sell vapes are required to take back old vapes for recycling, and you can also use the drop-off points at many council household waste recycling centres and the vape recycling bins at participating retailers. Empty the pod where possible, and take the whole device and used pods to a drop-off point. Searching for your local electrical recycling point on the Recycle Your Electricals website will show the nearest option.

Frequently asked questions

Which nicotine strength should I choose for the Snowplus Swift?

Heavier smokers, roughly ten or more cigarettes a day, usually start at 20mg/ml, which is the UK legal maximum. Lighter or social smokers tend to be more comfortable at 10mg/ml. Check the strength selector on this page for what is in stock, and remember that nicotine is addictive and this product is only for adult smokers and vapers.

How do I charge the Snowplus Swift and how long does it take?

Charge it through the USB-C port using a standard 5V phone charger, laptop port or power bank. A full charge typically takes under an hour, and the indicator light shows the charging state. Do not leave it charging unattended on a bed or sofa, and stop using any charger or cable that is damaged.

Can I swap flavours or buy other Snowplus Swift variants?

Yes. The kit takes replacement prefilled pods, so you can fit a different flavour to the same battery body whenever you like. Check our site for the other Swift flavours currently listed, and wash or wipe the contacts and let the new pod rest for a minute before the first draw. Do not try to refill a used pod yourself.

How long does one Black Lemonade Ice pod last?

A 2ml pod at 20mg/ml typically delivers around 400 to 600 puffs. That is roughly one to two days for a moderate vaper replacing a daily smoking habit, and longer for light users. Long, hard draws use more liquid than short, gentle ones, so your own habits will move the figure either way.

Is the Snowplus Swift good value for money?

It is good value for light to moderate users who want a simple, no-maintenance pod kit. Prefilled pods cost more per millilitre than bottled e-liquid, so a heavy daily vaper will usually spend less with a refillable pod kit. Multi-pod bundles reduce the average cost per pod.

Who should and should not buy this kit?

It suits adult smokers switching to vaping and existing vapers who want a pocket backup. It is not for under-18s, non-smokers, pregnant women or people with heart conditions who have not spoken to a clinician. It is also a poor fit for people who want adjustable power, big clouds or the ability to refill with their own liquid.

Can I refill the prefilled pod once it is empty?

No. The pod is designed as a sealed, prefilled consumable and is not intended to be refilled. Trying to open or refill it can damage the coil, cause leaks and void any warranty. When the pod is empty, replace it with a new one and recycle the old pod.

Do you deliver to the whole of the UK and is age verification required?

We deliver across the UK, and delivery options and costs are shown at checkout. Vaping products can only be sold to people aged 18 or over, so age checks are carried out on orders and the carrier may ask for proof of age on delivery. See our delivery information page for current dispatch times.

What are the warranty and returns terms if the device is faulty?

If the device or pod arrives faulty or not as described, contact us with your order number and a short description or photo, and we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund in line with your rights under UK consumer law. For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or used pods that are not faulty usually cannot be returned. See our returns page for the full policy.

How do I recycle the Snowplus Swift when it stops working?

Do not put it in household bins or normal recycling, because it contains a lithium-ion battery. In the UK, shops that sell vapes must take back old ones, and many council recycling centres also accept them. Use the Recycle Your Electricals website to find your nearest drop-off point.

Pleasantly surprised. Was expecting it to be average but it's actually really nice. Recommended.

Honest review — it works

Really nice flavour — not too sweet, not too harsh. Perfect in the middle. Second order already placed.
