Lost Mary Nera 30K Pureview Apple Edition at a glance

The Lost Mary Nera 30K Pureview Prefilled Pod Kit Apple Edition is a rechargeable, prefilled vape kit rated at 30,000 puffs, and it is aimed at adult smokers and existing vapers who are tired of replacing small disposables every couple of days. Apple sits at the centre of the flavour, the PureView display gives you a live read on the device, and the whole thing is designed so that you never fill a tank, change a coil or measure anything out. You take it out of the box, remove any protective film, and start vaping.

Lost Mary is one of the best-known names in the UK disposable and pod market, and the Nera line is its attempt to bridge two worlds. On one side are the classic throwaway bars, which are simple but short-lived. On the other are refillable pod systems, which last longer and cost less per puff but ask more of the user. The Nera 30K sits between them. It is a closed system, so the e-liquid is sealed in the pod at the factory, yet the 30,000-puff rating puts it in the same bracket as setups that used to need a lot more fiddling. If you want to see how the Nera relates to the brand's smaller bars, browse the full Lost Mary range before you decide.

This page covers the Apple Edition specifically. We look at how a prefilled pod kit works, what an apple-led flavour tends to taste like, what the PureView display is for, how to read the numbers on the box, how to set the kit up and charge it, and which nicotine strength to pick, since 10mg and 20mg are both listed. There is also a plain list of strengths and weaknesses, a troubleshooting section for the usual teething problems, and a summary of delivery, returns and age checks.

If you are still weighing up formats, our vape kits category lays the alternatives out side by side, from compact starter sets to larger big-puff devices. Everything on this page is written for adults only. Nicotine products are strictly for people aged 18 or over, and they are not intended for non-smokers or for anyone who is pregnant or has a medical condition without first speaking to a professional.

How a prefilled pod kit works in practice

Strip the jargon away and a prefilled pod kit is two parts that click together: a rechargeable battery body and a sealed pod that holds the e-liquid and the heating coil. There is no tank to open, no bottle to carry and no coil to prime. The liquid goes into the pod at the factory, and the pod is built to be used exactly as it arrives. The exact contents of the box can vary between bundles, so check the product listing for what ships with your order.

Inhaling through the mouthpiece triggers a sensor in the body, which sends power to the coil. The coil heats a small amount of nicotine salt e-liquid into vapour, and you breathe it in. Release the draw and the heating stops. That is why devices like this are described as draw-activated. The Nera 30K follows the same principle and uses a mesh coil, which is designed to heat the liquid across a wide surface instead of a single hot spot. A wide, even heating surface is a large part of why a good prefilled device holds its flavour from the first puff to the last.

The difference between this and a typical throwaway bar is mostly one of scale. A standard disposable is a single sealed cylinder in which the battery, the liquid and the coil all live together and all die together. A kit like this one separates the electronics from the consumable side of things, and that is part of how it reaches a 30,000-puff rating without feeling like a brick. Because the system is closed, you do not top it up, and it is not designed to be opened or refilled. If you want to understand how other sealed pods slot into the same idea, our prefilled vape pods range shows the wider picture.

Closed systems trade flexibility for ease. You cannot change the strength or the flavour partway through, and you cannot drop in your own juice. In exchange, you cannot mis-fill, overfill or flood a coil either, and there is nothing to spill in a bag. For many adults who are moving away from cigarettes, or who simply want a no-fuss vape that behaves the same way every time, that trade is exactly the point.

What to expect from the apple flavour

Apple is one of those flavours that can mean several different things depending on who made it. A green apple vape leans tart and crisp, close to biting through the skin of a Granny Smith. A red apple leans sweeter and rounder, nearer to a juicy eating apple. A candy or toffee apple adds a confectionery layer on top of both. Lost Mary sells this one simply as the Apple Edition, and that name is the only official descriptor we are working from, so treat the notes below as a guide to what apple-led vapes of this type usually deliver, not as a laboratory tasting sheet.

On the inhale, expect a bright, fruit-forward note that arrives quickly. Because the kit uses nicotine salt e-liquid, the vapour tends to feel smoother at a given strength than older freebase liquids would, so the sweetness comes through without much harshness. In the middle of the draw, apple flavours usually soften into something juicier, and on the exhale you are typically left with a light, clean finish rather than a heavy dessert coating. That clean finish is one reason apple stays popular with people who vape through the day: it does not tire the palate as quickly as thick custards or sugary sweets can.

The mesh coil helps with consistency. Its large heating surface is meant to vaporise the liquid evenly, so the flavour should stay steady across the life of the device instead of fading after the first few days. You may notice that the first few puffs of a brand-new kit taste a little muted while the coil saturates. That settles within a handful of draws, and it is a normal part of using any prefilled device rather than a fault.

A few practical notes on taste. Sweet fruit flavours can seem stronger when the device is warm, and chain-vaping tends to blur the subtle top notes. Leave a short gap between sessions and the apple stays fresher on the palate. Sugary profiles can also leave a mouthpiece feeling slightly tacky after a few days, so a quick wipe with a dry cloth is worth the effort. Finally, flavour perception is personal. If you normally prefer menthol, tobacco or heavy desserts, an apple profile may feel lighter than you expect, and if you usually vape fruit, it may feel familiar from the very first puff.

Reading the PureView display day to day

Most disposable vapes leave you guessing. You pull, the vapour thins out, and you have no idea whether the battery has gone, the liquid has run dry or the airflow is blocked. The PureView name on this kit points at how Lost Mary tries to answer that problem: a built-in display that reports on the state of the device so that you can plan around it instead of reacting to it.

In everyday terms, a screen like this exists to show you the things you would otherwise discover by running out. That means how much battery is left and roughly how much e-liquid remains in the pod. The exact layout and any extra indicators can vary between Nera versions and production batches, so check the product listing and the packaging for current detail rather than relying on a photo from a different edition. The principle stays the same. You glance at the display before leaving the house, see that the battery is low, and plug it in. You notice the liquid reading is getting short, and you make sure a replacement is on its way before the day you actually need one.

A good habit is to treat the display as a quick check at natural pauses, such as when you finish a cup of tea or lock the front door, rather than watching it between every pull. A bright screen on a vape is still a bit of a novelty, and it is tempting to keep staring at it. The useful information lives in the trend. If the liquid reading drops faster than it did last week, you are probably drawing longer or more often than before, which is worth knowing if you are trying to keep a lid on how much you vape.

The screen is also a handy troubleshooting tool. A dim or blank display on a kit that has been left unused for a while usually points to a drained battery, whereas an active display paired with weak vapour points you towards the pod seat, the seal or the airflow instead. Checking the screen first saves you from guessing, and it can stop you writing off a perfectly good device. If the display stays completely dark after a proper charge, that is the moment to get in touch with us rather than trying to open the casing yourself.

Specs and numbers worth knowing

Here is what we can confirm for this edition, laid out plainly so you can compare it with other devices.

  • Product: Lost Mary Nera 30K Pureview Prefilled Pod Kit, Apple Edition
  • Format: prefilled, closed pod kit with a rechargeable battery
  • Rated puffs: 30,000 (manufacturer rating)
  • Flavour: Apple Edition
  • Nicotine: nicotine salt, 10mg or 20mg options
  • Display: PureView
  • Charging: USB Type-C
  • Activation: draw-activated, no button
  • Listed price: £10.99 at the time of writing

We have deliberately left out figures that are not confirmed for this edition, such as battery capacity and the exact liquid volume. If a seller quotes those numbers without showing the packaging, treat them with caution and check the box when your kit arrives.

The headline number deserves a little unpacking. A 30,000-puff rating comes from standardised machine draws, which are short and even. Real people draw for different lengths, at different frequencies, and with different airflow settings, so the number is best read as a ceiling for comparison between devices and not as a promise. As pure arithmetic, a person taking 300 puffs a day would be looking at about 100 days on paper. In practice, longer draws use more liquid and more battery, so expect noticeably fewer. What the figure does tell you reliably is the class of device you are buying. It sits well above the usual disposable vapes that are rated in the low thousands, which is why we group it with other 30,000 puff vapes and not with pocket bars.

Price per puff is the other way to read the figures. A kit at this price rated at 30,000 puffs works out cheaply on paper, but the saving only appears if you actually use the device for a long time. If your vaping is occasional, a smaller option may waste less. If you vape most of the day, the larger rating is where the value starts to show.

From box to first draw

Setting this kit up takes about a minute, and most of that is checking that everything is in place. Work through the steps below in order and you will avoid the usual first-day complaints.

  • Check the packaging. Make sure the outer seal is intact and the item matches your order, including the Apple Edition label and your chosen strength.
  • Remove protective film. Peel any plastic film from the body, and take off any stoppers or caps from the mouthpiece or airflow openings. Leftover plastic is a surprisingly common cause of a muffled, airless draw.
  • Seat the pod. The pod should sit firmly and flush against the body. If it feels loose or crooked, remove it and push it in again.
  • Charge if needed. If the display stays dark, connect a USB Type-C cable and give the device some charge before the first draw. Kits often ship with only a partial charge.
  • Draw gently. Take a slow, steady pull of two to three seconds so the coil can wick properly. Expect the first few puffs to taste a little flat.

Be patient with those opening puffs. Pulling hard on a dry or only partly saturated coil is the quickest route to a burnt taste, and a burnt taste is hard to undo. Give the device a minute, take several gentle draws, and wait for the flavour to settle. By the fifth or sixth draw the apple should be at its proper strength.

If your version of the kit has an airflow control, you can adjust it freely during use. A tighter opening feels closer to drawing on a cigarette, with more resistance and often a firmer throat hit. A more open setting gives a looser, airier pull. Neither is wrong, and you can change the setting mid-pod without consequence. Make small adjustments instead of big swings, and give each change a few puffs before judging it.

Finally, keep the packaging until you are sure everything works. If anything arrives damaged, leaks straight from the box or refuses to fire after a charge, take a photo and contact us. Please do not keep forcing a device that is clearly faulty. If you have general questions before you open it, our FAQ page covers ordering, delivery and product basics in one place.

Charging, battery life and sensible habits

A 30,000-puff rating only makes sense on a rechargeable device, and this is one. Charging is by USB Type-C, the same connector used by most modern phones, so you probably already own a suitable cable. You can top up from a wall plug, a power bank or a laptop port when you are away from home.

A few habits will keep the battery healthy. Use a standard, reputable charger and an undamaged cable, and avoid cheap unbranded adapters that push out more power than the device was designed for. Charge on a hard, flat surface, never on a sofa, bed or any soft furnishing, and stay in the room while it is plugged in. Unplug once the display shows that the battery is full. Lithium cells generally prefer regular top-ups to being run down to nothing every time, so there is no need to wait for a flat battery before you plug in. Little and often is kinder to the cell than long gaps and deep drains.

How long a charge lasts depends almost entirely on how you vape. Long draws, frequent sessions and a more open airflow setting all use more power. We have not quoted a charging time or a battery size here because neither is confirmed for this edition, and guessing would do you no favours. Watch the display instead, and you will quickly learn your own pattern. Most people settle into charging every few days, or whenever the battery reading dips low.

Heat is the enemy of any lithium battery. Do not leave the kit on a car dashboard, next to a radiator or in direct summer sunlight, and do not use it if the casing has been crushed or swollen. If the device ever feels unusually hot while charging, unplug it straight away and get in touch with us. Never try to open the casing, remove the cell or modify the device in any way.

When the kit finally reaches the end of its life, do not put it in the household bin. It contains a lithium battery and electronics, so it belongs with waste electrical recycling. Many retailers and council recycling centres accept used vapes, and taking it to one keeps a fire risk out of the refuse lorry.

Who this kit suits, and who should look elsewhere

Think about how you vape before you think about puff counts. A big rating is only a good thing if your habits can actually use it.

This kit suits adults who smoke or already vape and want simplicity. It is popular with people who dislike filling tanks and swapping coils, with heavier users who go through small bars quickly, and with anyone who wants one device to cover several weeks of use. It also suits people who like fruit flavours in general and apple in particular. The display makes it friendly for newcomers to the format, because it replaces the guesswork that makes some disposables frustrating.

It is less well suited to a few groups. If you only vape occasionally, a smaller device may be a better fit, because a 30,000-puff rating is wasted if the kit sits in a drawer and the liquid sits in a pod. If you like to adjust power, swap flavours often or mix your own liquids, a closed system will feel limiting, and you may be happier with refillable vape pods that let you choose the e-liquid yourself. Anyone who wants the lowest possible running cost per millilitre will also usually find that a refillable setup beats any prefilled kit over the long haul.

Buyers who want zero nicotine are best served by nicotine-free liquids in a refillable device, since this Apple Edition is offered in nicotine strengths only. Non-smokers and under-18s should not use it. Nicotine is addictive, and these products are intended for adults who already use nicotine.

It helps to compare it with the other ends of the market. A pocket-sized throwaway is cheaper on the day and easier to hide in a jacket, but it is rarely a bargain if you go through one every few days. Many adults find the maths changes quickly once they move up to a larger format. Our wider range of disposable vapes is worth a look if you want to sample a smaller bar first, and you can always step up later. If you already use a Lost Mary device and like the brand's flavours, this is a natural next step, and apple is a safe pick if you want something familiar rather than adventurous.

Choosing between 10mg and 20mg strength

Two strengths are listed for the Apple Edition: 10mg and 20mg. Both use nicotine salt, which is the standard choice for prefilled pod devices because it feels smoother in the throat at a given strength than traditional freebase nicotine. If you want to understand the e-liquid side of the story, our nicotine salt e-liquids range explains the style in more detail.

The figure on the box is milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid. UK law caps the strength for products like this at 20mg per millilitre, so 20mg is the maximum you can buy, and 10mg is exactly half of that. Strength is not a measure of how much vapour you get. It describes how concentrated the nicotine is in each puff, and that changes how quickly and how firmly the draw hits.

As a rough guide, people who are coming off heavier daily smoking often start at 20mg, because it gives a stronger throat hit and a more noticeable nicotine effect that mimics what they are used to. People who smoked fewer cigarettes, who already vape lower-strength liquids, or who are sensitive to nicotine often find 10mg more comfortable. A device with a very large puff rating also means you may take a lot of draws across a day, and at 20mg that can add up quickly. If you are unsure, starting at the lower strength is a reasonable choice, because you can always move up next time.

Signs that your strength may be too high include a harsh or scratchy throat, dizziness, a racing heart rate or feeling slightly sick after a few draws. If that happens, stop using it and consider a lower strength. Signs that it may be too low include taking much longer and more frequent draws and still feeling unsatisfied. Neither situation is a failure, and it often takes a pod or two to find your level.

This is general information, not medical advice. Anyone with a health condition, or who is unsure whether nicotine is suitable for them, should speak to a pharmacist or doctor. If you want an option that does not involve inhaling anything, nicotine pouches are a separate category for adults who already use nicotine, although they are a different experience altogether.

Pros, cons and honest trade-offs

No device is right for everyone, so here is the plain version, with the good and the less good side by side.

What works well

  • A very high puff rating in a single, rechargeable kit, so you buy and replace less often.
  • No filling, no coils and no priming, which makes it forgiving for newcomers.
  • A display that shows the state of the device instead of leaving you to guess.
  • USB Type-C charging with a cable most households already own.
  • A fruit flavour that suits daily use and is easy to enjoy without much adjustment.
  • Two strengths to pick from, covering lighter and heavier preferences.

What to weigh up

  • It is a closed system, so you cannot change the liquid, the strength or the flavour once you start.
  • The 30,000 figure is a rating, and real use will vary with draw length and frequency.
  • It is larger and heavier than a pocket bar, so it is less discreet in a small pocket.
  • A rechargeable battery needs a bit of care, from safe charging to proper disposal.
  • Sweet fruit profiles can feel samey to people who like to rotate flavours daily.
  • Over a long period, a refillable setup will usually cost less per millilitre.

Whether the good side outweighs the weaker side comes down to how you vape. If you value convenience and you will genuinely use the capacity, the balance tips towards this kit. If you like to tinker, a different format will probably satisfy you more. At the time of writing the kit is listed at £10.99, which is a modest outlay for a device in this class, and our vape deals page is worth checking if you plan to buy more than one flavour. Prices and offers change, so confirm the current figure on the product page before ordering.

If you are tempted to go even bigger, there are devices rated well beyond this one, including the 50,000 puff vapes. Those suit very heavy users, but they are also bulkier and take longer to finish, so it is easy to over-buy. For most adults, 30,000 puffs already represents a long run.

Storage, care and troubleshooting

Store the kit upright where possible, somewhere cool and dry and out of direct sunlight. A drawer, a desk shelf or a bag pocket is fine. A hot car, a window ledge in July or a damp bathroom is not. Keep it well away from children and pets, because nicotine liquid is harmful if swallowed or if it touches the skin. An unopened kit left in sensible conditions should stay in good shape for a long time, and the packaging usually carries a best-before date that you should check on arrival.

Most problems come down to a short list of causes, and you can often fix them in a minute.

  • Weak or flat flavour on a new kit: take several slow draws to let the coil saturate. This usually clears within a handful of puffs.
  • No vapour or a muffled draw: check that every stopper and film is removed, that the pod is seated firmly, and that the battery has charge.
  • Burnt taste: usually caused by chain-vaping or long, hard pulls. Rest the device for a few minutes and draw more gently. If the taste stays after a rest, the pod may be nearly empty.
  • Gurgling or slight moisture at the mouthpiece: wipe it clean, hold the device upright for a while and draw gently. Condensation is normal in small amounts.
  • Screen stays dark: charge the kit using a different cable or port to rule out a faulty lead.
  • Leaking from the pod: stop using it, wipe the outside and contact us. Do not squeeze or open the pod.

Cleaning is simple. Wipe the mouthpiece and the exterior with a dry or very slightly damp cloth, and let it dry fully before drawing again. Never put the device in water, and never use harsh cleaners near the airflow openings.

If you have run through these checks and the device is still not behaving, do not keep trying. Photograph the issue and your order details, then contact our team so we can look into it. Quick, specific information such as when the problem began and what the display shows helps us to respond properly. A faulty pod or battery is rare, but it is better handled early than after weeks of frustration.

Delivery, returns and age checks

Nicotine products are strictly for adults, so age checks come first. You must be 18 or over to buy this kit, and we may ask for age verification before an order is accepted or dispatched. Our age verification page explains how that works and what to expect. Please do not order on behalf of anyone under 18, and keep the kit somewhere children cannot reach once it arrives.

On the practical side, orders over £20 qualify for free UK delivery, which makes it easy to put a second flavour or a spare kit in the same basket. Orders placed and confirmed before 4pm are dispatched the same working day, so a weekday morning order usually leaves us quickly. Every product we sell is 100% genuine, sourced for the UK market, and you should always check that the packaging on arrival matches what you ordered. Our shipping information sets out the carriers, timescales and costs for smaller baskets, and it is the best place to confirm anything about delivery.

When the parcel arrives, check the outer box, then the kit itself. Look for any visible damage, signs of leaking or a missing seal. If anything is wrong, photograph it and get in touch before you use the device. Because nicotine products are inhaled, hygiene rules mean that opened devices are treated differently from sealed goods, so the details of what can be returned and when are set out in our policy pages and FAQ, not guessed at here. Damaged or faulty items are a separate matter, and we want to hear about those promptly.

It is also worth planning ahead. A kit rated at 30,000 puffs can last a long time, but if you tend to run out at awkward moments, order your next one while the display still shows some liquid. That way you are never caught without a device. If your plans change, you may also want to compare the Apple Edition with other flavours from the same range, since the shop carries many different Nera editions. Keep an eye out for multibuy offers, which can make a second device cheaper, and remember that stock and prices can move, so the product page always carries the final word.

Frequently asked questions

How many puffs does the Lost Mary Nera 30K Pureview Apple Edition last?

It is rated at 30,000 puffs. That figure comes from standardised machine draws, so real-world use will vary with draw length, frequency and airflow. Longer, harder pulls use more liquid and battery, so most people will see fewer than the rated number. Treat it as a way to compare devices rather than a guarantee, and use the on-device display to keep an eye on battery and liquid as you go.

What nicotine strengths are available for the Apple Edition?

The Apple Edition is listed in 10mg and 20mg nicotine salt strengths. In the UK, 20mg per millilitre is the legal maximum for these products, and 10mg is half of that. Heavier former smokers often start at 20mg, while lighter users or those sensitive to nicotine tend to prefer 10mg. Pick the strength on the product page before adding the kit to your basket.

Is the Nera 30K Pureview rechargeable, and how do I charge it?

Yes, it is rechargeable through a USB Type-C port. Use an undamaged cable and a standard reputable charger or a computer port, place the device on a hard, flat surface and stay nearby while it charges. Unplug it once the display shows a full battery. We do not quote a charging time because it is not confirmed for this edition, so rely on the display.

What does the Apple Edition taste like?

Lost Mary describes it simply as the Apple Edition. Apple-led vapes usually deliver a bright, fruity inhale followed by a juicy middle and a clean, light finish, with the exact sweetness or tartness depending on the recipe. Nicotine salt keeps the draw smooth. The first few puffs on a new kit can taste slightly muted while the coil saturates, and they settle quickly.

Can I refill the pod or change the flavour?

No. This is a closed, prefilled kit, so the e-liquid is sealed in at the factory and the system is not designed to be opened or refilled. Trying to do so can damage the device and is not recommended. If you want to choose your own liquids, look at a refillable pod system instead, where you control the flavour and the strength.

Do I have to press a button to use it?

No. Like most prefilled pod kits, it is draw-activated, so you simply inhale through the mouthpiece and the device fires. There is nothing to hold down. Start with a slow two to three second pull to let the coil wet itself, and avoid very hard or rapid back-to-back draws, which can cause a burnt taste.

What does the PureView display show?

The display reports on the state of the device, such as the battery level and roughly how much liquid remains, so you are not left guessing. The exact layout can vary between Nera versions and batches, so check the packaging that arrives with your kit. If the screen stays dark after a proper charge, contact us instead of opening the casing.

Why does my new kit taste weak or burnt?

A weak taste in the first few puffs is normal while the coil saturates, so take several gentle draws. A burnt taste usually comes from chain-vaping or long, hard pulls on a coil that has not had time to wick. Rest the device for a few minutes and draw more gently. If the burnt taste persists, the pod may be close to empty.

Is this suitable for non-smokers or anyone under 18?

No. The Apple Edition contains nicotine, which is addictive, and it is for adults aged 18 or over who already smoke or vape. It is not intended for non-smokers, young people, or anyone pregnant or with a health condition unless a doctor or pharmacist has said otherwise. We carry out age checks on orders.

How quickly will my order arrive, and is the product genuine?

Orders over £20 get free UK delivery, and orders confirmed before 4pm are dispatched the same working day. All of our products are 100% genuine and sourced for the UK market. Delivery times and costs for smaller baskets are set out on our shipping page, and you should check the packaging on arrival and contact us if anything looks damaged.
