Lost Vape Centaurus M100 Lunar Pink: overview

The Lost Vape Centaurus M100 Vape Mod Lunar Pink is a compact single-cell box mod from Lost Vape, finished in a soft pink colourway and sold by VapeShopOnline.co.uk to adult vapers in the UK. It is aimed at people who would rather choose their own tank, coil and e-liquid than buy a sealed pod system. The M100 in the name points to its headline figure, a maximum output of 100 watts, which you can dial down as far as 5 watts, and it is powered by one removable 18650 lithium-ion cell.

The Centaurus range is Lost Vape's line of straightforward, pocketable mods, and the M100 sits at the small-and-simple end of it. There is no app, no pod that locks you into one flavour line and no sealed battery. You insert a cell, screw on a tank, set a wattage on the screen and fire. That simplicity is the point, and it is also why a mod like this can be a sensible next step for adults who have used pod kits and now want more control over vapour, flavour and running costs.

One thing to be clear about before you order: this listing is for the mod only. The standard retail pack lists the mod, a USB-C charging cable, a user manual and a warranty card. It does not include a tank, a battery or e-liquid. You will need a tank with a standard 510 thread, one suitable 18650 cell and a bottle of e-liquid. If you are new to mods, read the battery and coil sections below before you buy those extras, because the choice of cell matters more than most first-time buyers expect. Please check the product page for the exact contents of your order.

Lunar Pink is one of several colourways. Others in the range include Knight Black, Midnight Blue, Gunmetal, Interstellar, Icy Mint, Dusty Rose and Galaxy Beige. The colour changes the look of the device and nothing else; the electronics, buttons and menu are the same across all of them. Colour availability can shift from batch to batch, so if the pink is your reason for buying, order while it is in stock.

This guide covers the real specifications, how the mod performs, what to pair it with, how to choose nicotine strength under UK rules, how to look after the cell, how to troubleshoot common problems and how it compares on value with other ways of vaping. Everything on this site is for adults only. You must be 18+ to buy, and nicotine products are not for non-smokers.

Specifications at a glance

The figures below are Lost Vape's published numbers as reported by retailers. Treat them as typical rather than guaranteed, and always check the manual that comes in your box, because small revisions between production batches do happen.

  • Power output: 5W to 100W in variable wattage mode
  • Battery: one removable 18650 cell, not included, with a working voltage window of 3.0V to 4.2V
  • Coil resistance range: 0.1 to 3.0 ohm
  • Temperature control: 100 to 315 degrees C (200 to 600 degrees F) with compatible coil materials
  • Charging: USB-C port, rated at 5V and 2A
  • Display: 0.96-inch screen showing power, battery level and coil resistance, with temperature in temperature-control mode
  • Chipset: Lost Vape's Quest platform, according to retailer listings
  • Connection: 510 thread, suited to atomisers up to 26mm in diameter
  • Size and weight: roughly 92.7mm by 38mm by 26mm, around 100g to 105g
  • Colourway: Lunar Pink
  • In the pack: mod, USB-C cable, user manual, warranty card

What do those numbers mean in practice? The 5W to 100W range is wide for a single-cell device. Five watts is enough to drive a high-resistance coil in a small restricted-lung tank, while the upper end suits low-resistance mesh coils in a sub-ohm tank. You will rarely need to touch the top of the range. Most people settle into a band that suits their coil and leave it there.

The 0.1 to 3.0 ohm resistance window tells you which coils the mod will fire. Almost every commercially sold coil falls inside it, from restrictive 1.0 ohm and higher coils designed for lower power through to 0.15 ohm mesh coils. If you attach a coil below 0.1 ohm, the mod should refuse to fire, which is a safety behaviour rather than a fault.

The 26mm atomiser limit is about appearance and fit. A tank at or below 26mm sits flush or very nearly so on a body 26mm deep. Wider tanks will overhang, which still works but looks unbalanced. Because the footprint of the mod is 38mm by 26mm, most 24mm and 25mm tanks look right on it.

You will notice there is no milliamp-hour figure for the mod itself. That is because it has no built-in battery. Capacity is set by whichever 18650 cell you fit, which is why the battery section later in this guide spends time on how to choose one. Equally, there is no puff count, since puff counts belong to disposables and sealed pod products. How many puffs you get from a charge depends on your cell, your wattage and your puff length, and we give realistic estimates further down.

Performance and puff delivery

A regulated mod does one job: it takes the voltage of the cell, which falls from about 4.2V when full to around 3.0V when empty, and converts it to whatever voltage is needed to deliver the wattage you have set into the coil attached. The Centaurus M100 does this through its Quest-based chipset, so the vapour you get at 45W should feel the same at the start of a charge as it does near the end, until the cell approaches its low-voltage cut-off. Only then does performance drop away or the screen warn you.

The relationship between wattage, resistance and voltage is simple physics. Power equals voltage squared divided by resistance. A 0.2 ohm coil run at 50W needs roughly 3.2V at the coil. The same coil at 100W needs about 4.5V. A 0.6 ohm coil at 30W needs roughly 4.2V. You do not have to do this maths, because the mod does it for you, but it helps to understand why a coil with a tight recommended wattage range (printed on the coil or the packaging) can taste harsh if you push it above the stated figure, or flat and cool if you stay far below it.

The important number for a single-cell mod is the current the battery has to supply. At 100W from a cell working around 3.6V to 3.7V, the battery side current is in the region of 27A to 28A once conversion losses are counted. That is a lot for a single 18650. It does not mean the mod is unsafe, but it does mean three things. First, you need a high-drain cell with a genuine continuous discharge rating comfortably above the current you intend to pull. Second, running at 100W constantly is not what this mod is for. Third, a more moderate setting such as 40W to 70W puts far less stress on the cell and noticeably extends how long it lasts per charge.

Here is a sensible way to think about the output range:

  • 5W to 20W: restricted or mouth-to-lung vaping with higher resistance coils, typically 0.8 ohm and above
  • 20W to 40W: a middle ground for coils around 0.4 to 0.8 ohm, producing warm vapour and moderate clouds
  • 40W to 70W: the typical sub-ohm zone for mesh coils between about 0.15 and 0.4 ohm in direct-to-lung style tanks
  • 70W to 100W: available for low-resistance coils that call for it, but it is demanding on a single cell

In everyday use the response when you press the fire button is quick for this class of device. You should not expect the instant ramp of a high-end dual-cell chipset, but equally you will not be waiting a noticeable beat before the coil heats. Vapour production is governed more by the tank and coil than by the mod. A 0.2 ohm mesh coil at 50W in a decent sub-ohm tank will produce dense, warm vapour, while the same mod on a 1.2 ohm coil at 15W will produce a tight, cooler draw.

Temperature control is an extra tool rather than a headline feature. It works with coils made from nickel, titanium or stainless steel wire, limiting the coil to a set temperature between 100 and 315 degrees C. Its practical benefit is that it can help prevent dry hits when the tank runs low, because the chip cuts power if the coil climbs past your limit. Standard mesh coils sold with most tanks are not temperature-control coils, so for most people variable wattage will be the mode they use daily.

Flavour profile and what shapes it

A mod does not have a flavour of its own. What it does is control how hot the coil runs and how consistently, and that has a direct effect on how e-liquid tastes. This section is about getting good results out of the combination you assemble, because with a mod the flavour is entirely down to the coil, the tank airflow and the liquid you choose.

Wattage and flavour. Lower power within a coil's recommended range tends to give a cooler, more defined taste, with fruit, menthol and sweet notes standing out. Higher power gives a warmer, rounder, heavier vapour, which many people prefer for desserts, custards and tobacco blends. If your vapour tastes sharp or scorched, drop the wattage by 3W to 5W at a time until it smooths out. If it tastes weak and watery, step up in the same small increments.

Coil type and flavour. Mesh coils have a large heating surface and tend to deliver a broad, even flavour with warm vapour. Round-wire coils have a smaller heating area and often give a crisper, more focused taste at lower power. Neither is automatically better. If you mostly vape fruit-and-ice liquids, a mesh coil at moderate wattage works well. If you vape tobacco or nuanced blends, you might prefer a round-wire coil at lower power.

Airflow. Open airflow cools the vapour and can mute some of the finer flavour notes while making the draw easier. Closing the airflow slightly concentrates flavour and warms the vapour. Because you control both power and airflow on this setup, you can dial in your own preference far more precisely than on a sealed device.

E-liquid choice. The M100 sits happily with the three broad families of UK e-liquid:

  • Shortfills in 50ml or larger bottles with room for nicotine shots, popular with sub-ohm users because they are economical per millilitre
  • 10ml nicotine e-liquid bottles, which is the maximum size for nicotine liquid in the UK, in either freebase or nic salt formats
  • Nic salt liquids, which are smoother at higher strengths and well matched to higher resistance coils at lower power

Fresh coils always need priming. Add a few drops of liquid directly onto the cotton, fill the tank, wait at least five to ten minutes so the cotton saturates, and take the first few draws at a low wattage. Skipping this step is the most common reason a new coil tastes burnt in its first hour. Very sweet liquids also leave residue on coils, so if the flavour fades after a week or two, it is usually the coil that needs replacing rather than the mod that is failing.

If you are moving from a pod kit or a disposable, expect a different character. Many people notice a warmer, fuller, more rounded flavour from a mod-and-tank, because the coils are larger and the vapour is produced in greater volume. That is not automatically a better experience for everyone. Some people find it too much and prefer to run lower wattage with a higher resistance coil, which the 5W floor of this mod allows.

Design and build quality

The Centaurus M100 measures roughly 92.7mm tall, 38mm wide and 26mm deep, and weighs somewhere around 100g to 105g without a cell. With an 18650 fitted, you can add roughly another 45g. In practical terms that makes it a device that goes into a jacket or jeans pocket without fuss, noticeably smaller than the dual-cell mods that dominate the 200W category. It is wide enough across the 38mm face to give a stable base for a 24mm or 25mm tank and shallow enough to hold comfortably in one hand.

The Lunar Pink colourway is a soft, light pink. Mods in this price bracket typically use a zinc-alloy body with a painted or coated surface, and the pink finish should be expected to behave like any other coating. As with any coated device, daily pocket wear, keys and coins will eventually leave marks on the paint around the edges. If you care about keeping the colour pristine, a silicone sleeve is an inexpensive extra, although it does hide the finish you paid for. Lighter colours also show dirt and pocket lint more readily than black or gunmetal, so wipe it down now and then with a dry microfibre cloth.

On the front you will find the 0.96-inch display, the fire button and the adjustment buttons used to change power and scroll through the menu. The 510 connector sits on the top deck, ready for your tank. The battery goes in from the base or the rear door, and the USB-C port is positioned so that the mod can be charged while standing upright. The exact button layout and the battery door mechanism are described in the manual that comes with the device, and it is worth reading before you load the cell for the first time.

Things to check when your mod arrives:

  • The fire button has a clean, even click with no rattle or sticking
  • The 510 centre pin is level and moves or sits correctly for your tank type
  • The battery door closes fully, with no gap or play
  • The screen lights up evenly and all digits are legible
  • The finish is free of chips and blemishes, which you should photograph and report immediately if not

Build quality overall is in line with what you would expect at the price: solid enough for daily carry, not rated as a rugged, water-resistant or drop-proof device. If you work outdoors, on a building site or anywhere that you might drop it onto concrete, a tougher design with a rubberised or reinforced body will survive better. The M100 is designed to be slim and tidy, and should be treated accordingly.

The 0.96-inch screen shows the essentials at a glance: wattage, battery level and coil resistance. It is not a large panel and you will not get a rich on-screen menu, but the information it shows is what you need while vaping, and the menu structure is short enough to learn in a few minutes.

Battery and charging

The Centaurus M100 runs from one removable 18650 cell, which is not included. Choosing the right cell is the most important decision you will make after the mod itself, so it deserves care.

Choosing a cell. Buy a high-drain 18650 from a recognised manufacturer, with a continuous discharge rating clearly stated by the maker. For a 100W-capable mod, a cell rated for 30A or more continuous is the sensible target, even if you intend to vape well below the maximum. Typical high-drain 18650 cells offer between about 2,500mAh and 3,500mAh, and the usual trade-off applies: higher capacity cells tend to have lower discharge ratings, and higher discharge cells tend to have lower capacity. A cell labelled 3000mAh and 35A is a typical, balanced example. Avoid unbranded or suspiciously cheap cells, avoid anything advertised with impossible figures such as 9900mAh, and avoid rewrapped cells of unknown origin. Those are the cells that cause problems.

Estimating run time. A 3000mAh cell at a nominal 3.6V holds about 10.8Wh of energy. At 40W, and allowing for roughly 85 percent conversion efficiency, that equates to around 14 minutes of actual firing time. With puffs of three to four seconds, that is in the region of 200 to 240 puffs. At 60W it falls to about 150 puffs, and at 20W it rises to somewhere around 500. These are estimates from simple arithmetic, not measured results, and real-world figures vary with cell age, temperature and coil, but they give you an honest picture. Moderate users get through the day on a charge at 30W to 40W. Heavy users should carry a spare cell.

Charging. The USB-C port is rated at 5V and 2A. You can charge a cell inside the mod, which is convenient, but a separate external charger is gentler on cells, charges them independently of the mod, and lets you swap in a second cell while the first charges. Many experienced vapers use the port occasionally and an external charger routinely. As a rough guide, expect around two to three hours for a 3000mAh cell from empty using the port with a decent 5V adapter. Use a reputable phone-style charger rather than a very cheap unbranded one, and do not leave a charging battery unattended overnight or on a soft surface such as a bed or sofa.

Cell safety basics.

  • Check the wrap for tears or damage every time you change cells, and never use a cell with a damaged wrap
  • Carry spare cells in a plastic case, never loose in a pocket with coins, keys or other metal
  • Insert the cell the right way round, matching the polarity marks in the battery compartment
  • Do not mix cells of different brands, ages or capacities, and rotate two cells so they wear evenly
  • Stop using any cell that gets unusually hot, swells, smells or leaks

Recycling in the UK. Never put a lithium-ion cell or a vape device in your household bin or ordinary recycling, because crushed cells cause fires in bin lorries and recycling plants. Shops that sell vapes are required to take back old devices, and many supermarkets and council household waste recycling centres have battery and small-electrical drop-off points. The Recycle Your Electricals website offers a postcode search for your nearest one. The same rule applies to the mod itself when it eventually reaches the end of its life, since it is electrical equipment.

Coils, mesh technology and tank pairing

The mod is only half of the system. The tank and coil you choose determine how it behaves, and the Centaurus M100's wide resistance window of 0.1 to 3.0 ohm gives you a lot of flexibility. Here is how the main options line up.

Mesh coils. Instead of a round wire wrapped around cotton, a mesh coil uses a flat, perforated sheet of resistance material lining the inside of the coil head. The advantage is a larger heating surface, which usually means quicker wick saturation, even heating and a broad, consistent flavour. Typical mesh coils run between about 0.15 and 0.4 ohm and are designed for 40W to 70W. Their trade-off is that they use more e-liquid and more battery than a higher resistance coil, and they tend to be slightly pricier than basic round-wire coils.

Round-wire coils. These are conventional coils made from wire wrapped around a cotton wick. Resistances range from 0.5 ohm up to 1.5 ohm and beyond. They draw less power, use less liquid and produce cooler vapour with a tighter draw. They suit mouth-to-lung vaping and can be the more economical choice if you are looking to keep running costs down. At the lower end of this mod's wattage range, they are an excellent match.

Tank size and the UK rules. Under UK regulations, a refillable tank sold for use with nicotine liquid is limited to a 2ml capacity, and nicotine e-liquid bottles are capped at 10ml. Tanks designed with larger capacities for other markets are normally fitted with a 2ml section for sale in the UK, and some packs also include a larger spare section intended for non-nicotine use only. A 2ml tank on a 50W mesh coil will empty quickly. A heavy sub-ohm user may refill several times a day, so consider whether that is practical for you.

When choosing a tank for the Centaurus M100, work through this checklist:

  • Diameter: 22mm to 26mm sits neatly on the body, with 24mm and 25mm usually looking tidiest
  • Coil range: make sure the coils you want to use fall within 0.1 to 3.0 ohm and within the wattage the mod can sensibly supply from a single cell
  • Airflow: adjustable airflow is worth having, as it lets you tune both flavour and draw
  • Refill method: top-fill designs are less likely to leak when you refill than bottom-fill ones, particularly for beginners
  • Coil availability: check that replacement coils are easy to find in the UK before committing to a tank, as a tank you cannot get coils for is a wasted purchase

Replace coils whenever flavour dulls, the vapour thins out or you detect any burnt taste that priming and a lower wattage do not cure. For most people, that is every one to three weeks of regular use, depending on how sweet the e-liquid is and how high the power setting. Keep your first spare coil on hand before the original wears out, so you never face a gap.

Nicotine strength guidance

Choosing a nicotine strength is a personal decision, and the right level depends on what you are replacing, how you vape and what power you run. The legal framework is clear. In the UK, nicotine e-liquid is capped at 20mg per millilitre, which is 2 percent, and that limit applies equally to refill bottles, pod liquids and the sealed liquid inside any device. Single-use disposable vapes carried the same cap before they were banned from sale in England, Scotland and Wales on 1 June 2025, so if you are moving from disposables to a refillable setup like this one, the 20mg limit will already be familiar, but the practical choice of strength is quite different.

With a mod and tank, there are two main routes.

  • Freebase nicotine is the traditional type, available at strengths from 0mg through 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg. It has a stronger throat feel at higher strengths.
  • Nic salt nicotine is smoother at a given strength and commonly sold at 10mg and 20mg. It is designed for lower wattage and higher resistance setups.

Because the Centaurus M100 can run anything from 5W to 100W, both work, but the match with your coil matters. As a general guide:

  • Sub-ohm mesh coils at 40W to 70W: lower strengths tend to suit, typically 0mg to 6mg freebase, because each puff delivers a large volume of vapour. Many people use shortfills with a nicotine shot to reach 3mg or 6mg.
  • Mid-range coils around 0.5 to 1.0 ohm at 20W to 35W: 6mg to 12mg freebase is a common starting point.
  • Higher resistance coils of 1.0 ohm and above at 8W to 20W: nic salts at 10mg or 20mg are the usual choice, since vapour volume per puff is smaller.

If you are coming from smoking, a reasonable approach is to start at a strength that stops you reaching for a cigarette without feeling harsh, then reduce gradually if you wish. If your throat feels scratchy, the strength is probably too high for the power you are using. If you find yourself chain vaping and still unsatisfied, it is probably too low. Adjusting by one step at a time gives you a better read than a large jump.

Remember that when you step up to higher wattage and larger clouds, you are taking in more liquid and therefore more nicotine per puff, even at the same strength. People moving from a pod kit to a sub-ohm setup are often surprised by how strongly the same strength hits. If you find yourself dizzy, nauseous or with a racing pulse, stop, put the device down and lower the strength next time. Nicotine is addictive, and these products are intended only for adults who already use nicotine. They are not for non-smokers, under-18s, or anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.

Who the Centaurus M100 is for

The Centaurus M100 makes sense for a particular kind of vaper, and it is just as useful to know who it does not suit.

Good matches:

  • Pod kit graduates. If you have used a refillable pod system and want more control over power, coil choice and flavour, a mod and tank is the usual next step, and a single-cell mod is the least complicated way to take it.
  • Disposable switchers. With single-use vapes no longer legally sold in England, Scotland and Wales, adults who used to rely on them often move to refillable devices. A mod with a decent tank offers lower running costs per millilitre once you are past the initial outlay.
  • People who want a small, simple mod. The single-cell format keeps it pocketable, and the short menu keeps it uncomplicated.
  • Anyone who likes the pink. It is a fair reason to choose a colourway, provided the specification also fits your needs.
  • Second-device owners. A compact mod makes a good backup or travel device alongside a larger setup at home.

Not the right fit for:

  • Complete beginners who want something ready to use. This mod needs a tank, a cell, a charger and e-liquid, and you need to understand cell safety. An all-in-one starter kit is more straightforward for a first device.
  • Heavy all-day sub-ohm users. A single 18650 at 60W will not last a full day for someone who vapes constantly. You will need a spare cell, or a dual-cell or 21700 mod with a larger capacity.
  • People who want maximum power. The 100W ceiling is plenty for most coils, but if you want to run large dual-coil builds at 150W or above, you need a dual-cell mod.
  • Anyone unwilling to handle removable cells. If the idea of checking wraps, rotating cells and using a separate charger does not appeal, a device with a built-in battery is less hassle.
  • Non-smokers and anyone under 18. Nicotine vaping is for adult smokers and existing nicotine users only. Age verification applies to every order, and we cannot supply anyone under 18.

One of the most common mistakes new mod owners make is buying power they do not need. A 100W mod does not make you vape harder or give you a better experience at 100W than at 45W. It simply gives you headroom. Most people end up using this device between 25W and 60W, and the headroom is useful for the occasional low-resistance coil rather than daily use.

How to use the Centaurus M100

Setting up a mod for the first time takes a few minutes. Follow these steps in order and read the manual in your box for the exact button presses, because the click sequences can differ between Lost Vape models.

  • Step 1, inspect the cell. Check that the 18650 wrap is intact and the terminals are clean. Make sure the cell is charged. If it is brand new, give it a full charge first.
  • Step 2, insert the cell. Open the battery compartment and place the cell in with the positive end facing the way shown by the polarity mark. Close the door fully until it clicks or seats.
  • Step 3, attach the tank. Screw the tank onto the 510 connector by hand until it is snug. Do not overtighten, because that can damage the centre pin and the threads.
  • Step 4, prime the coil. Add a few drops of e-liquid straight onto the cotton, fill the tank with e-liquid without covering the central airflow tube, close it up and wait five to ten minutes.
  • Step 5, switch on. Lost Vape mods most commonly use five rapid presses of the fire button to power on and off, though you should confirm this in the manual. The screen will show the power setting, battery level and resistance.
  • Step 6, set the power. Use the adjustment buttons to choose a wattage inside the range printed on your coil. If you are unsure, start at the lower end of the coil's range and increase in small steps.
  • Step 7, take a few gentle puffs. Take the first few draws gently, with short pulls, so the coil fully wets before you move to your normal pace.
  • Step 8, fine-tune. Adjust the wattage and the tank airflow until the vapour feels right. Small changes make a visible difference.

Locking the device. Most mods have a lock mode, usually activated by a set number of clicks, which prevents accidental firing in a pocket or bag. Use it whenever you are carrying the device. The manual lists the exact sequence.

Everyday care. Wipe the 510 connector and the battery contacts with a dry cotton bud now and then. If liquid leaks onto the connector, clean it with a cotton bud lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely before use. Keep the device out of the reach of children and pets, and do not leave it in a hot car or in direct sunlight.

Refilling. Switch the mod off or lock it before you open the tank. Refill slowly and avoid flooding the airflow tube. Never fill past the max line, and remember that UK tanks are limited to 2ml, so you may be refilling more often than you expect when running high wattage.

Storage. If you are not going to use the mod for several weeks, remove the cell, store it in a plastic case at room temperature and empty the tank to avoid leaks.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with a single-cell mod come down to a handful of causes. Work through the likely ones before assuming the device is faulty.

The mod will not turn on. Check the cell is inserted the right way round and is charged. Wipe the cell terminals and the battery contacts with a dry cloth. Try a second cell if you have one, because a deeply discharged or damaged cell will not wake the chip. Confirm you are using the correct number of clicks for power on, as set out in the manual.

Error messages about the atomiser or coil. Messages such as check atomiser, no atomiser or short circuit usually mean the mod cannot read a valid coil. Unscrew the tank and screw it back on, making sure it is fully seated. Clean the 510 centre pin and the inside of the tank base. Try the coil in a different tank if you have one. If the screen shows an unusually low resistance, the coil may have failed or be shorting, and it needs replacing. Remember the mod will not fire coils under 0.1 ohm or above 3.0 ohm.

Dry or burnt hits. The cause is almost always an unprimed or worn coil, an empty tank, too high a wattage or chain vaping with no gap for the wick to re-saturate. Refill, wait a few minutes, drop the wattage by 5W and take shorter puffs. If it persists, replace the coil. Very sweet liquids can gunk a coil within days.

The tank is leaking. Check that the coil is screwed in tightly, the O-rings are in place, the tank sections are fully tightened and the airflow is not over-open for a thin liquid. Do not overfill. Leaks onto the mod can enter the connector, so wipe it clean straight away.

The battery drains quickly or the mod cuts out under load. This is the classic sign of a cell that cannot supply enough current at your chosen wattage. Reduce the power, try a fresh cell with a higher discharge rating, or replace an old cell. Cells lose capacity over hundreds of charge cycles, and a cell that is two years old with heavy daily use may simply be worn out.

It will not charge, or charges slowly. Try a different USB-C cable and a different 5V adapter. Check the USB-C port for pocket lint and clear it gently with a wooden toothpick, never metal. Make sure the cell is seated correctly. If the mod still will not charge, try the cell in an external charger to see whether the cell or the mod is at fault.

The device gets warm. Some warmth is normal under heavy use, especially at high wattage. If it becomes hot to hold, stop vaping, switch it off, remove the cell once it is safe to do so and let everything cool. Do not continue using a mod that overheats repeatedly, and contact us if it keeps happening.

Fire button problems. A sticking or unresponsive button is sometimes caused by liquid or debris underneath it. Do not take the device apart. If cleaning the outside with a dry cloth does not help, contact us with your order number and a description of the fault.

For anything you cannot fix, keep the packaging and your order confirmation, and get in touch. Do not attempt to open or modify the electronics.

Value for money and how it compares

At the time of writing the Lost Vape Centaurus M100 is listed at £27.95, and orders over £20 qualify for free UK delivery. That is the price of the mod alone. To make a working setup you need to add a tank, a cell and e-liquid, so the true cost of getting started is higher than the headline figure. A realistic budget is the mod, plus a decent tank in the low-to-mid teens of pounds, plus a branded high-drain 18650 and ideally a charger, plus your first bottle or shortfill. Add those and the total for a full setup typically lands well above the sticker price of the mod.

Where the value comes from is running cost. A sealed pod system has a cheap entry price but you keep buying proprietary pods. A single-use product is a recurring cost with an environmental price attached, and has been banned from sale in England, Scotland and Wales since June 2025 anyway. A refillable mod with a standard tank lets you buy liquid in 10ml bottles or 50ml shortfills, and compare the cost per millilitre. Over a few months, that tends to work out substantially cheaper than repeatedly buying pods, particularly if you vape heavily.

An honest look at how it compares with the alternatives follows.

  • Versus pod kits. Pod kits are simpler, usually smaller and have built-in batteries with no cell-handling. They suit beginners and people wanting minimal fuss. The M100 gives you more power, a free choice of tank and coil, and lower consumables cost per millilitre, in exchange for more setup and more things to buy.
  • Versus larger dual-cell mods. Rugged dual-cell mods such as the Geek Vape Aegis Legend line offer higher power ceilings, longer run time and tougher builds. They are also bigger, heavier and usually more expensive. The M100 is lighter and slimmer, which is its main advantage, while its single cell is the main compromise.
  • Versus single-cell mods from other brands. Brands such as Eleaf, Aspire, Voopoo and Vaporesso all sell single-cell or small-format mods at similar prices. Differences come down to chipset behaviour, menu design, build finish and colour choice rather than any dramatic gap in performance. The M100's combination of a 5W to 100W range, 0.1 ohm minimum resistance and a broad choice of colourways is competitive, and if one of those other devices suits your preferred look or interface, it is a fair alternative.
  • Versus 21700-format mods. A mod built around a larger 21700 cell will usually run longer between charges than an 18650 device. If battery life is your main priority, that is a real advantage over the M100, although the devices are larger.

Weaknesses are worth stating plainly. The single 18650 limits run time at higher wattages, there is no cell in the pack so you must budget for one, the 100W maximum asks a lot of a single cell, and the screen and menu are functional rather than elaborate. Strengths are the compact size, the wide wattage and resistance range, the choice of colours including Lunar Pink and the flexibility to use almost any 510 tank.

Our verdict is straightforward. If you want a small, simple mod, you are comfortable with removable cells and you intend to run in the sensible 25W to 60W zone, the Centaurus M100 is fair value. If you want a one-box solution, long battery life or maximum power, look elsewhere. Every device we sell is 100 percent genuine, and orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Lost Vape Centaurus M100 Lunar Pink come with a battery and a tank?

No. The standard pack contains the mod, a USB-C charging cable, a user manual and a warranty card. You need to buy one 18650 high-drain cell and a tank with a 510 thread separately, plus e-liquid. Check the product page for the exact contents of your order.

What nicotine strength should I use with the Centaurus M100?

It depends on your coil and wattage. For sub-ohm mesh coils at 40W to 70W, most people use 0mg to 6mg freebase because each puff is large. For mid-range coils around 20W to 35W, 6mg to 12mg is common. For high resistance coils at low power, nic salts at 10mg or 20mg are typical. UK nicotine e-liquid is capped at 20mg per millilitre, and you should start at the lowest strength that satisfies you.

How do I charge it, and how long does it take?

You can charge the cell inside the mod through the USB-C port, which is rated at 5V and 2A, or use a separate external charger. As an estimate, a 3000mAh cell takes roughly two to three hours from empty. Use a reputable 5V adapter and never leave a charging battery unattended or on a soft surface.

Does the colour change how the mod works, and can I use different flavours?

No. Lunar Pink is a colourway only, and the electronics and menu are identical across the range. The mod has no flavour of its own, so you can use any compatible e-liquid in any tank you choose. Switching flavours is simply a matter of emptying and rinsing the tank, or fitting a fresh coil if you want a clean change.

How long will one battery charge last?

It depends on your cell, wattage and puff length. As a rough estimate, a 3000mAh cell gives about 200 to 240 puffs at 40W, around 150 at 60W and roughly 500 at 20W. Heavy sub-ohm users should carry a spare cell. Cells also lose capacity over hundreds of cycles, so expect to replace them eventually.

Is the Centaurus M100 good value at £27.95?

The price is for the mod alone, so add the cost of a tank, a branded cell, ideally an external charger and e-liquid. Once set up, running costs per millilitre are usually lower than buying pods, and single-use disposables are no longer legally sold in England, Scotland and Wales. It is fair value for a compact single-cell mod if you are happy to assemble your own setup.

Who should and shouldn't buy this mod?

It suits adult smokers and vapers who want a small, simple mod with control over power and coils, including those moving on from pod kits or disposables. It is less suitable for complete beginners wanting an all-in-one kit, heavy all-day sub-ohm users needing longer battery life, and anyone who does not want to handle removable cells. It is not for non-smokers or anyone under 18.

Is it safe to run at 100W on a single 18650?

At 100W a single cell has to supply roughly 27A to 28A, which is demanding. Use a genuine high-drain cell with a continuous rating of 30A or more, buy from a reputable brand, and run at a lower wattage whenever you can. Most people vape comfortably between 25W and 60W, which is much easier on the cell. Stop using any cell that overheats, swells or has a damaged wrap.

How does UK delivery work, and is there an age check?

Delivery is free across the UK on orders over £20, and orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day. You must be 18+ to buy, and age verification applies to every order. All products are 100 percent genuine.

What are the warranty and returns arrangements, and how do I recycle old kit?

The pack includes a warranty card, so keep it with your order confirmation. If your mod arrives faulty, contact us with your order number and photos and we will help, and your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 also apply. Batteries and coils are usually treated as consumables, so check the card for exact terms. For recycling, never bin cells or devices; take them to a shop that sells vapes, a supermarket battery point or a council recycling centre, and find your nearest via the Recycle Your Electricals postcode search.
