Ruthless Original Bar Nic Salts Box of 10 overview

The Ruthless Original Bar Nic Salts Box of 10 in Arctic Cherry Lemonade at 10mg is a multipack of ten 10ml bottles of nicotine salt e-liquid. It is written for UK adults who already vape, or who are moving away from cigarettes, and who use a refillable pod kit often enough that buying ten bottles in one go makes more sense than reordering single bottles every few days. This page explains what is in the box, how the flavour behaves, which hardware it suits, and where it sits against other multipack nic salt ranges.

One point needs to be clear straight away. Although this item is filed under accessories in our catalogue, it is a consumable refill, not a device. The box contains liquid only. There is no battery, pod, coil or charger in it, so you need a compatible refillable pod kit or low-power vape device to use it. If you are looking for a ready-to-use device, this is not that product, and it is worth checking what you already own before you order.

The Original Bar line is built around the flavour profiles that vapers know from bar-style devices: bright fruit, a cooling finish, and a sweetness that is easy to vape through the day. Arctic Cherry Lemonade follows that pattern. Expect a cherry-led fruit profile with lemonade tartness behind it and a cool, menthol-style chill on the exhale. At 10mg/ml (1%) it sits in the lower-to-middle part of the nic salt range, which tops out at 20mg/ml in the UK.

Ten bottles of 10ml each gives you 100ml of liquid in total. At 10mg/ml that works out to 100mg of nicotine per bottle and 1,000mg across the whole box. Those numbers are useful for working out how long a box will last, which we cover in the value section further down.

Please note: nicotine is addictive and vaping is not risk free. Vape products are for adults aged 18 and over who currently smoke or vape. If you do not already use nicotine, this product is not for you.

Specifications at a glance

The figures below come from the product name, the pack format and the usual construction of 10ml nic salt bottles sold in the UK. Where a detail varies between batches or is not something we can confirm from the listing, we have said so. Always check the label on the bottle you receive, as that is the authoritative source for ingredients, batch code and best-before date.

  • Product: Ruthless Original Bar Nic Salts, box of 10
  • Flavour: Arctic Cherry Lemonade (cherry, lemonade, cooling finish)
  • Nicotine strength: 10mg/ml (1%)
  • Nicotine type: nicotine salt, which is smoother at a given strength than freebase nicotine
  • Bottle size: 10ml each, which is the maximum bottle size allowed for nicotine e-liquid in the UK
  • Quantity: 10 bottles, 100ml total
  • Nicotine per bottle: 100mg (10mg/ml x 10ml)
  • Nicotine per box: 1,000mg
  • PG/VG ratio: nic salt liquids in this style are commonly around 50VG/50PG, which suits low-power pod devices; confirm the exact ratio on the bottle
  • Best suited to: refillable pod kits and mouth-to-lung (MTL) devices, roughly 8W to 15W
  • Recommended coil resistance: about 0.6 to 1.2 ohm, mesh or ceramic coils work well
  • Not included: device, pod, coil, battery, charger
  • Age restriction: 18+, with age verification at checkout and on delivery
  • UK limits: maximum 20mg/ml nicotine strength, maximum 10ml per bottle of nicotine e-liquid

If you are comparing this against a different multipack, line the figures up on a like-for-like basis: total millilitres, nicotine strength and nicotine type. Those three numbers tell you far more about what you are buying than any marketing label does.

Flavour profile of Arctic Cherry Lemonade

Arctic Cherry Lemonade is a three-part flavour: cherry, lemonade and a cooling layer. How those parts are balanced decides whether you will enjoy it for a full bottle, so here is what to expect.

  • Inhale: sweet red cherry leads, closer to cherry sweets than fresh fruit. A lemon note follows it and keeps the sweetness from feeling flat. The lemon is closer to still lemonade than to sour sherbet, so it adds brightness rather than sharpness.
  • Exhale: the cooling element arrives here. It is a mild-to-medium chill felt in the throat and the front of the mouth rather than a strong blast through the nose. If you find full menthol harsh, this level of cooling is generally manageable.
  • Aftertaste: a lingering sweet lemon-and-cherry finish with a light freshness. It does not leave a heavy, syrupy coating, though sweeter liquids always leave some residue.

Because this is a bar-style profile, sweetness is the dominant character. If you prefer dry, tobacco-led or minimally sweetened flavours, this will probably feel too sugary. If you like fruit sweets, iced drinks or the flavours you may have used in disposable devices, it will feel familiar.

Device settings change the flavour noticeably. At the lower end of the range, around 8W to 10W, the flavour is softer and the cooling is gentle. At 12W to 15W the cherry becomes more candy-like, the lemon sharpens and the cooling is stronger, but the liquid also runs through the coil faster and the vapour is warmer. We suggest starting low and moving up in small steps until the flavour is clear without tasting hot.

The cooling comes from a cooling additive in the formulation, and we cannot confirm which specific compound is used. That does not change how you use it, but it is worth knowing that cooling sensations vary between people. Some users find them mild, others find them pronounced after a few days.

A practical note on flavour fatigue: a box of ten means ten bottles of the same flavour. Most vapers experience some loss of taste if they use a single sweet flavour constantly, often called vaper's tongue. If you notice the flavour fading, swapping to a different flavour for a day or two, drinking water, and avoiding vaping straight after coffee or smoking usually brings it back. You can also split your order across flavours by picking a different variant on the product page.

Performance and vapour delivery

E-liquid does not have a puff count the way a sealed device does, and anyone quoting a puff figure for a bottle is estimating. What we can do is give you a realistic range based on how pod kits consume liquid, so you can plan rather than guess.

At typical pod-kit settings of 10W to 12W and a puff of around three seconds, a pod device uses somewhere in the region of 7 to 12 milligrams of liquid per puff. A 10ml bottle weighs a little over 10 grams, so a single bottle is likely to give roughly 1,000 to 2,000 puffs, and the box of ten roughly 10,000 to 20,000 puffs. Short, light draws sit at the top of that range and long, hot draws at the bottom. Treat these as planning figures, not guarantees.

It is worth knowing that the puff counts printed on disposable packaging are often generous, and the single-use format is no longer sold in the UK in any case. Comparing by millilitres is more reliable than comparing by puffs, and that is how we have framed the value section below.

In terms of sensation, a 10mg nic salt is a moderate experience:

  • Throat hit: light to medium. Nic salts are smoother than freebase at the same strength, and 10mg is well below the 20mg ceiling.
  • Vapour volume: modest to moderate. With a roughly 50/50 PG/VG mix and a low-power coil you get a soft, quick-dissipating cloud rather than the dense clouds of sub-ohm vaping.
  • Flavour intensity: good on mesh coils at mid power, slightly muted at the very bottom of a device's range.
  • Nicotine delivery: quicker and gentler than freebase at an equivalent strength, which is the main reason salts became the default for pod kits.

The overall result is a liquid designed for steady, discreet, frequent use rather than occasional large hits. That is consistent with how most ex-smokers use a pod device: many short puffs spread through the day.

Nicotine strength guidance: is 10mg right for you?

Choosing the wrong strength is the most common reason people are unhappy with a liquid that is otherwise fine. Too low and you keep vaping without feeling satisfied. Too high and you get headaches, nausea, dizziness or a harsh throat. Here is a practical way to think about it.

  • 10mg/ml (this product): a sensible starting point for lighter smokers, people who smoked around ten cigarettes a day or fewer, and existing vapers who want to reduce their intake. It also suits people who vape frequently through the day, because spreading nicotine across lots of puffs at 20mg can be too much.
  • 20mg/ml: the maximum strength permitted in the UK for nicotine vaping products, including everything that was once sold as a disposable. It is generally aimed at heavier smokers or people who find lower strengths leave them reaching for a cigarette.
  • Below 10mg: useful when you are stepping down further, but not what this listing covers.

Signs that 10mg may be too low for you: you are vaping constantly without feeling settled, you feel strong cravings an hour after your last session, or you find yourself drifting back to cigarettes. Signs it may be too high: lightheadedness, queasiness, a racing feeling, or a throat hit that feels harsh even at low power. If you notice the second group, take a break, drink water, and move to a lower strength next time.

Some practical rules of thumb. A first-time switcher who smoked a pack a day often begins at 20mg and aims to step down; someone who smoked a handful a day usually does better at 10mg or less. Your device matters too: a tight, low-power MTL setup delivers nicotine efficiently, so you may feel 10mg more than you would in a looser, airier device.

If you are unsure, it is more sensible to start at 10mg and step up than to start at 20mg and feel unwell. Because both strengths are widely stocked in this style of liquid, changing later is easy. NHS stop smoking services can also help you decide, and combining vaping with local support improves the odds of quitting smoking altogether.

Coil technology and device compatibility

Nic salts behave best in low-power, restricted-airflow devices. That means refillable pod systems and small mouth-to-lung kits, not high-wattage sub-ohm tanks. Using 10mg salt in a 50W direct-lung setup wastes liquid, produces harsh vapour and delivers far more nicotine per puff than the label strength suggests.

When you choose a device for this liquid, look at the following.

  • Coil resistance: roughly 0.6 to 1.2 ohm works well. Lower values in that range give warmer vapour and more flavour at slightly higher power; higher values suit tight draws and lower wattage.
  • Coil construction: mesh coils spread heat across a larger surface and usually give more consistent flavour and longer coil life. Ceramic and cotton-wicked round-wire coils are also suitable. Both can handle a 50/50 salt liquid.
  • Power range: 8W to 15W is the sweet spot. Many pod kits regulate this automatically; adjustable kits let you tune it.
  • Pod capacity: UK rules cap refillable tank and pod capacity at 2ml, which is why the bottle is sized at 10ml: you refill from the bottle several times.
  • Fill port: a 10ml bottle with a narrow nozzle fits the side-fill or top-fill ports on most pod kits without a separate bottle adapter.

Refillable pod kits of the type sold by Vaporesso, Oxva, Geekvape, SMOK and Voopoo are all examples of devices in this category. We are not suggesting any specific device is required, just that this is the class of hardware where nic salts perform as intended.

Coil life. Sweet, fruity liquids leave more residue on the coil than unsweetened ones, so expect a coil to last roughly one to three weeks depending on how much you vape. Signs that a coil is nearing the end include a burnt or flat taste, reduced vapour and a rougher draw. Replacing the coil rather than pushing power up is almost always the right fix.

Do not use this liquid in devices that are not designed for refilling with a bottle, and do not add it to a sealed pre-filled pod unless the manufacturer states that the pod can be refilled.

Bottle design, packaging and build quality

A liquid does not have build quality in the way a device does, but packaging matters for safety, shelf life and ease of use. Here is what to look for on the box and bottles.

  • 10ml bottles: the standard UK format for nicotine e-liquid, usually plastic with a narrow tip so you can fill small ports without spilling.
  • Child-resistant, tamper-evident caps: required for nicotine liquids sold in the UK. You push down and turn to open, and a breakable ring shows if the bottle has been opened before.
  • Nicotine warning label: a prominent health warning that the product contains nicotine, which is highly addictive. This is a legal requirement, along with an ingredient list, batch code and best-before date.
  • Outer box: the box of ten keeps the bottles together for storage and transport. It is not a substitute for proper storage once opened.

On arrival, do a quick check: the tamper ring should be intact, the cap should feel snug, and the label should be legible. If a bottle is leaking, split or missing its tamper ring, do not use it and contact us with a photo so we can sort a replacement. We cover returns further down.

Storage matters. Keep bottles out of direct sunlight and away from heat, as both degrade nicotine and flavour over time. A cupboard or drawer is ideal. Store them upright, tightly capped, and out of reach of children and pets. Nicotine liquid is toxic if swallowed or if it contacts skin in quantity, so wipe up spills promptly and wash your hands after refilling.

With ten bottles in hand, it makes sense to open one at a time and keep the rest sealed. Sealed bottles keep their quality for much longer than a half-used one that has been opened and closed repeatedly. Check the best-before date on the label, which is typically a year or more from manufacture.

Battery and charging for your pod device

The liquid itself has no battery and needs no charging. This section is about the device you pair it with, because battery habits affect how this liquid tastes and how much of it you use.

Most refillable pod kits carry batteries of roughly 400mAh to 1,000mAh, with the smaller capacities in slim, pen-style kits and the larger in chunkier devices. At the low power settings this liquid suits, a 500mAh to 800mAh battery typically gives you a day or so of moderate use before a top-up. Heavier use, or running the device at the higher end of its power range, shortens that.

  • Charging port: most current pod kits use USB-C. Use the cable supplied with the device or a reputable replacement.
  • Charger choice: a standard 5V phone-style adapter is fine for most pod kits. A fast charger is rarely needed and offers no real benefit.
  • Do not charge unattended or overnight: lithium-ion cells are safe when treated properly, but a damaged battery or poor-quality charger is the common cause of problems. Stay nearby while it charges.
  • Keep it cool: do not charge or leave a device in a hot car or on a radiator.

A weak battery affects flavour as well as run time. As voltage drops, some pod kits deliver less power to the coil, so a liquid that tasted full at the start of the day can taste thin by the evening. If your flavour fades along with the battery, top it up before assuming the liquid is the problem.

When a device reaches the end of its life, never put it in your household bin. Vape devices contain lithium batteries and are classed as waste electrical equipment. In the UK, retailers that sell vapes are required to take back used devices, and household waste recycling centres also have small electrical collection points. Look for the vape recycling drop-off at your nearest participating shop or council site. Remove the pod and liquid first where you can.

How to use Ruthless Original Bar Nic Salts

If this is your first time refilling a pod, the process is simple, but it pays to do it carefully. Follow these steps with a device that is switched off or locked.

  • Wash and dry your hands, and work over a flat surface with a tissue or cloth underneath.
  • Check your coil. A new or tired coil changes the experience more than any liquid does. Replace it if the flavour has dulled.
  • Shake the bottle gently, then open it using the push-and-turn cap.
  • Open the fill port on your pod. This is usually a silicone plug on the side or top.
  • Fill slowly, aiming the nozzle at the side wall of the fill port rather than straight down the centre. Stop at or just below the max line, and do not overfill: leave a small air gap.
  • Close the port firmly, then wipe any liquid from the outside of the pod.
  • Let it soak for five to ten minutes so the cotton or mesh is saturated. Skipping this step is the single most common cause of a burnt first taste and a ruined coil.
  • Take a couple of gentle puffs without firing, if your device allows, to draw liquid into the coil, then start with short puffs at a low power.

Take it easy for the first few puffs and let the coil settle. Use short draws of two to three seconds rather than long, hard pulls. Longer puffs do not give more flavour; they give hotter vapour and burn through liquid and coil life faster.

When refilling, keep to the same liquid per pod. Mixing flavours in a single pod can taste muddy and makes it hard to tell what is causing a problem if something goes wrong. Never mix nic salts with freebase nicotine liquid in the same pod, as the combined strength is difficult to estimate.

If you are not sure how often to refill, a good habit is to top up when the pod is about a third full rather than running it fully empty. A dry coil burns quickly, and a bit of discipline here extends coil life considerably.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with a pod and liquid combination come down to the coil, the fill technique or the battery. Work through these before concluding the liquid is at fault.

  • Burnt or harsh taste: usually a dry or worn coil. Replace the coil, let a fresh one soak for ten minutes, and avoid chain vaping. Check you have not set the power too high.
  • Weak or flat flavour: could be a tired coil, a low battery or vaper's tongue. Change the coil, charge the device and switch to a different flavour for a day or two.
  • Gurgling or spitting: too much liquid in the chamber or a flooded coil. Empty any excess, wipe the pod and air-dry it, then refill to a lower level.
  • Leaking from the pod: a poorly seated fill plug, overfilling, or a cracked pod. Reseat the plug, fill less, and check the pod for damage.
  • Throat hit too strong: lower the power, shorten your puffs or move to a lower nicotine strength.
  • Dizziness or nausea: you may be taking in more nicotine than you need. Stop, drink water, have something to eat, and consider a lower strength or less frequent use.
  • No vapour: check the battery, make sure the pod is seated, and see whether the airflow is blocked. If it still fails, try a new coil or pod.
  • Liquid has darkened: some darkening over time is normal for sweet liquids and does not always mean the liquid is unusable. If it smells or tastes off, do not use it.

If a problem persists across more than one coil, take a look at the device rather than the liquid. Faulty devices are common causes of leaks and weak output. If you suspect a faulty bottle, such as a broken tamper seal or a strange smell on opening, stop using it and get in touch with the batch code and a photo so we can help.

Who this is for and who should skip it

Being honest about who benefits from a product is more useful than listing every possible user. Here is how we see it.

It is a good fit if you:

  • currently smoke or vape and want a refillable alternative to disposables, which are no longer sold in the UK
  • use a refillable pod kit with a coil in the 0.6 to 1.2 ohm range
  • like sweet, fruity, cooled flavours and want one you can vape through the day
  • want a moderate nicotine strength rather than the 20mg maximum
  • get through enough liquid that buying ten bottles at once saves effort or money

It is probably not for you if you:

  • do not currently use nicotine, or are under 18
  • are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a heart condition, unless a health professional has advised otherwise
  • prefer unsweetened, tobacco or dry flavours
  • dislike cooling sensations on the exhale
  • use a high-wattage sub-ohm tank, where this liquid will taste harsh and run through quickly
  • want to try several flavours first, in which case a single bottle is more sensible than a box of ten

UK rules worth knowing. Nicotine vaping products in the UK are capped at 20mg/ml, and this applies to e-liquid and to everything that was previously sold as a disposable. Nicotine e-liquid is limited to 10ml bottles, and refillable tanks and pods are limited to 2ml. Single-use disposable vapes have been banned from sale since June 2025, which is a major reason refillable kits and nic salts have become the main route for many adult vapers.

Recycling and disposal. Empty bottles can often go in household plastic recycling once fully empty, but check your local council guidance because rules differ. Used devices, batteries and coils should not go in your general bin. Take them to a vape retailer with a take-back scheme or a household waste recycling centre with a small electricals bay. If you are unsure where your nearest drop-off point is, your council website or the national recycling locator will tell you.

Value for money and comparison with other nic salts

The simplest way to judge value is cost per millilitre, and a ten-pack is designed to bring that figure down compared with buying single 10ml bottles. Because you are buying 100ml in one go, the saving on each bottle usually adds up, and it also reduces how often you pay for delivery. The right figure to compare is the total price divided by 100, and you can then set that against the single-bottle price of the same liquid and against other brands.

Here is how to think about how long the box will last. A moderate pod user vaping around 2ml to 3ml a day uses roughly 60ml to 90ml a month, so a 100ml box is a month or more of supply. A lighter user may stretch it to two months or beyond, while a heavy user at 5ml a day gets closer to three weeks. Once opened, bottles should be used within a few months for best flavour, so a box of ten suits regular users rather than occasional ones.

How it compares fairly with alternatives.

  • Versus other 10ml nic salt ranges such as Elfliq, IVG Salt or Pod Salt: all offer 10ml bottles in a similar 10mg to 20mg band and similar PG/VG mixes. The difference is mostly flavour, and Ruthless Original Bar leans towards sweet, iced fruit. If you like a bar-style profile this is a reasonable match; if you want a wider catalogue of unusual flavours, some of those ranges have a bigger selection.
  • Versus freebase liquids: freebase tends to be cheaper per bottle and suits higher-powered devices, but it is harsher at similar strengths and not suited to small pod kits.
  • Versus the old disposable route: refillable pods with salt liquid generally cost less per millilitre, produce less waste and are the legal route now, though they require a little maintenance such as changing coils.
  • Versus buying single bottles: a box makes sense once you know you like the flavour. If you have never tried it, buy one bottle first, because ten bottles of a flavour you dislike is poor value however low the unit price.

On balance, this is a reasonable value choice for regular pod users who already know they like a cherry-and-lemon profile with a cool finish. It is less compelling for experimenters or for anyone who uses a device that doesn't suit nic salts. The sensible approach is to match the strength, flavour and hardware first, and only then decide whether buying in bulk makes sense for you.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg nicotine strength?

10mg/ml suits lighter smokers, people stepping down, and those who vape often through the day. 20mg/ml is the UK maximum and is usually chosen by heavier smokers. If you are unsure, start at 10mg and move up only if it does not satisfy you, as starting too high can cause nausea and headaches.

Does this box need charging?

No. The box contains e-liquid only, with no battery or charger. You will need to charge the pod kit or device you use it with, normally via USB-C. Avoid charging overnight or unattended, and use a reputable cable and adapter.

Can I get other flavours or strengths in this range?

Yes, the Ruthless Original Bar range is sold in several flavours, and strengths are typically offered at 10mg and 20mg. Use the variant selector on the product page to see the options currently available. Make sure the flavour and strength shown match what you want before adding to your basket.

How long will a box of ten last?

A box holds 100ml in total. A moderate pod user vaping 2ml to 3ml a day will usually get around a month or more from it, while lighter use stretches further and heavy use gets closer to three weeks. Unopened bottles keep well when stored cool and out of sunlight, and the label shows the best-before date.

Is the box of 10 better value than single bottles?

Usually the cost per millilitre is lower in a box, and you pay for delivery once rather than repeatedly. It only makes sense if you already like the flavour and will use all ten bottles within a reasonable time. If you have never tried Arctic Cherry Lemonade, buy a single bottle first.

Who should and shouldn't buy this?

It suits adult smokers and existing vapers who use a refillable low-power pod kit and like sweet, cooled fruit flavours. It is not for under-18s, non-smokers, people who are pregnant, or anyone who dislikes sweet or cooling flavours. It is also a poor match for high-wattage sub-ohm devices.

Which devices can I use it with?

Refillable pod kits and low-power mouth-to-lung devices, ideally with a coil of about 0.6 to 1.2 ohm running at roughly 8W to 15W. Do not use it in sealed pre-filled devices that cannot be refilled. High-wattage sub-ohm tanks are not recommended, since the liquid will taste harsh and be used up quickly.

Do you deliver across the UK, and is there age verification?

We deliver to UK addresses, and our current delivery options and timescales are shown on the delivery information page and at checkout. Because vape products are age restricted, you must be 18 or over, and age checks apply when ordering and when the parcel is delivered. Someone aged 18 or over needs to be available to receive it.

What is the returns and warranty position?

For safety and hygiene reasons, opened e-liquid generally cannot be returned. If a bottle arrives damaged, leaking, tampered with or is not what you ordered, contact us with your order number and a photo and we will arrange a replacement or refund. Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected, and the full returns policy is on our returns page.

How do I dispose of empty bottles and old vape devices?

Rinse empty bottles and check your local council guidance, as many accept clean plastic bottles in household recycling. Devices, batteries and coils should never go in general waste. Take them to a vape retailer that offers take-back, or to a recycling centre with a small electricals collection point.
