Ohm Brew Nic Salts 10ml 18mg Fizzy Cherry Cola: overview

Ohm Brew Nic Salts 10ml 18mg Fizzy Cherry Cola is a nicotine salt e-liquid from Ohm, supplied in a 10ml bottle at a strength of 18mg/ml. It is made for the refillable pod kits that many UK adults moved to when sealed disposables lost their appeal, and for anyone who would rather buy a bottle of liquid than a fresh throwaway device every few days. The flavour combines two familiar soft drink ideas in one bottle: dark, sweet cherry and sharp, fizzy cola. If you have ever ordered a cherry cola from a fountain or picked one up from a corner shop fridge, you already know the general direction.

It helps to be clear about what this product is and what it is not. It is a bottle of liquid, not a device. On its own it does nothing, and it is not meant for sealed disposables that have no fill port. It belongs in refillable pod systems and other low-power devices that are designed for nicotine salt liquids. The 10ml size is the largest bottle the UK allows for nicotine-containing e-liquid, which is why the same format appears across the whole nic salt category. The 18mg/ml strength sits in the upper-middle part of the legal range, below the 20mg/ml ceiling that applies to every nicotine e-liquid and disposable sold in the UK.

Ohm Brew is a familiar name on UK vape shop shelves. This nic salt line is the 10ml, pod-friendly side of the brand, as opposed to the larger shortfill bottles built for sub-ohm tanks. If you have used any popular 10ml salt before, the format will feel familiar: a small plastic bottle with a narrow nozzle, a child-resistant cap, and a label carrying the legally required warnings.

This page walks through the flavour, the specifications, how the liquid behaves in a pod, what devices suit it, how to choose a nicotine strength, who should buy it and who should not, how to fill and look after it, what to do when something goes wrong, how it compares on value, and the UK rules that apply. Where something is a general trait of the category rather than a figure published by Ohm, we say so, so that you can check the bottle label when it arrives.

  • Product: Ohm Brew Nic Salts, Fizzy Cherry Cola
  • Size: 10ml
  • Strength: 18mg/ml nicotine salt
  • Flavour family: cherry and cola, sweet with a fizzy edge
  • Best suited to: refillable pod kits and low-wattage mouth-to-lung devices

Flavour profile: what Fizzy Cherry Cola tastes like

Cherry cola is one of the older pairings in the soft drink world, and e-liquid makers have been recreating it for years. The recipe is usually built from three parts: a cherry note, a cola note, and something that gives the whole thing a bubbly lift. In this case the name signals that the fizz is a deliberate feature, not an accident. Ohm does not publish a note-by-note breakdown, so treat the description below as the style of the flavour rather than a formula.

Here is how a cherry cola of this type typically unfolds across a single puff:

  • On the inhale: a bright, sweet cherry arrives first. It tends to lean towards the candy and syrup end of cherry rather than the tart, fresh-fruit end, closer to a cherry sweet or a maraschino than a bowl of orchard fruit.
  • Mid-draw: the cola builds. Cola flavourings usually rely on a blend of warm caramel, a hint of vanilla and a citrus-spice edge. This is the part that makes it taste like a drink rather than a fruit juice.
  • On the exhale: the fizzy impression comes through. In liquids like this it is usually a slight tingle and a sharpness at the back of the tongue that imitates carbonation. It is a sensory trick, not actual bubbles, and it varies from person to person.
  • The aftertaste: a lingering sweetness with a faint caramel note and a trace of cherry. It tends to stay on the palate between puffs.

Compared with a straight cherry liquid, the cola element rounds off the sweetness and adds some depth, so the flavour is less sugary than a pure cherry candy. Compared with a straight cola liquid, the cherry adds a fruity brightness that lifts it away from the heavy, dark profile some cola e-liquids have. The balance between the two is a matter of taste, and with nic salts, where each puff is small and the throat hit is gentle, the flavour tends to come across a little more rounded than it would in a high-power setup.

This is a sweet flavour. If you prefer dry or tart profiles, or you do not enjoy fizzy drinks, you may find it rich after a while. If you like sweet drink-style flavours, it is an easy one to live with across a day, because the cola note keeps it from being as cloying as a pure candy liquid.

Specifications and bottle design

The details below describe the product as listed. Where a figure is a general feature of nic salts rather than a number published by Ohm, it is marked as such, and the bottle label is always the final word.

  • Brand and range: Ohm, Ohm Brew Nic Salts
  • Flavour: Fizzy Cherry Cola
  • Bottle size: 10ml
  • Nicotine strength: 18mg/ml, which is 1.8 percent
  • Nicotine type: nicotine salt, made with an organic acid so the nicotine feels smoother at a given strength than a freebase liquid would
  • Total nicotine in the bottle: about 180mg (18mg per ml multiplied by 10ml)
  • Intended devices: refillable pod kits and low-wattage mouth-to-lung systems
  • VG/PG ratio: nic salts of this kind commonly use a balanced blend of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol, and the exact ratio is printed on the bottle label, so check it when the product arrives

The arithmetic on nicotine content is worth a moment because it shows you what you are handling. A typical 2ml pod filled from this bottle holds about 36mg of nicotine in total, spread across every puff you take from that fill. A full 10ml bottle holds roughly five such pod fills. That is one reason nic salts are sold at modest volumes, and why the bottle should always be kept out of reach of children and pets.

On the bottle itself, UK rules require nicotine-containing e-liquid to carry a health warning, an ingredients list, batch information and a child-resistant, tamper-evident closure. The nozzle on a 10ml salt bottle is deliberately narrow, which helps you fill the small port on a pod without spilling. Squeeze gently rather than hard, because the plastic is soft and a firm squeeze sends a burst of liquid out.

Build quality in a bottle like this comes down to a few practical points: whether the cap seats firmly, whether the nozzle drips after use, and whether the label stays legible after a few weeks in a bag or pocket. Wipe the nozzle after each fill and keep the bottle upright, and it should stay tidy. Store it away from heat and direct sunlight, since both can darken the liquid and dull the flavour over time.

Performance and vapour delivery

Nicotine salt liquids behave differently from freebase liquids, and that shapes how this bottle performs. The acid in a nic salt lowers the pH of the nicotine, so at a given strength the throat hit is softer and the nicotine reaches the bloodstream more quickly. In practice that means you can use a higher strength such as 18mg without the harshness a freebase liquid of the same strength would give, and each puff tends to feel more satisfying even though the vapour is thin.

Vapour volume from a pod kit is modest by design. Salts are made for low-power devices with a tight, restricted draw, so you get a cooler, smaller cloud than you would from a sub-ohm tank. The compensation is flavour concentration and a quick nicotine hit. If your priority is a big cloud, a 10ml salt is the wrong format and a shortfill with a sub-ohm tank is the better route. If you want something discreet that behaves like a cigarette, this is the right category.

How long a fill lasts depends on the device, your puff length, and how often you vape. Rough guidance, rather than a published figure:

  • A 2ml pod filled with a salt like this commonly gives somewhere in the region of a few hundred puffs for a moderate user, though the real number swings widely with puff length and device efficiency.
  • A 10ml bottle holds around five pod fills, so it can last anything from a few days for a heavy user to a couple of weeks for a lighter one.
  • Heavy chain vaping drains pods faster and can overheat the liquid in the wick, which spoils the flavour, so pacing yourself improves both economy and taste.

Flavour delivery is where salts often shine. Because the liquid is vaporised at lower temperature, delicate notes survive better, and a layered flavour such as cherry and cola tends to come through as two distinct elements rather than blending into a vague sweetness. The fizz impression in particular benefits from a cooler vapour, since a hot, dry puff flattens the tingle.

A final point on consistency: the first few puffs after filling can taste weaker while the wick saturates. Give a new fill a few minutes, take a couple of gentle priming draws, and flavour will settle to its normal strength.

Device pairing, battery and charging

The bottle has no battery, so charging applies to the device you pair it with. This is a common point of confusion for newcomers, because disposable listings talk heavily about battery capacity, while a liquid listing has none. What you need to know is which kinds of kit work well with a 10ml nic salt, and how to look after the battery in whichever you choose.

Suitable device types include:

  • Refillable pod kits with a small battery: slim, pen-style or compact box kits with batteries in the region of 400 to 1,000mAh. These are the usual home for a salt and are very easy to carry.
  • Larger pod mods with an adjustable wattage: batteries from around 1,000 to 1,500mAh, giving you a bit more control over flavour and vapour.
  • Refillable pod replacements for disposables: some kits are sold specifically as reusable alternatives to the sealed disposable format, and they are designed to be filled from bottles like this.

These battery figures are typical of the device category, not a specification of this liquid, so always check the manual for your own kit.

Charging is nearly always by USB-C on current kits. A few practical habits will extend battery life and keep things safe:

  • Use the cable that came with the device, or a reputable replacement, and a standard USB charger rather than a high-output fast charger unless the manual permits it.
  • Do not vape while the device is plugged in, and do not leave it charging overnight unattended.
  • Unplug it once the indicator shows full. Typical charge times for small pod kits run from about 30 to 90 minutes.
  • Keep the device out of hot cars, direct sun and pockets with keys or coins.
  • If the casing swells, smells odd or gets unusually hot, stop using it and take it to a proper recycling point.

Pair the liquid with a device that suits salts. A kit designed for high-wattage sub-ohm vaping will overheat a salt, produce a harsh hit, and burn through your nicotine far too quickly. Low power and a snug draw are what this liquid is made for.

Coil and mesh technology

The coil is the part of a pod that heats the liquid, and different coil types change how a nic salt tastes and how long a fill lasts. You do not buy a coil with the liquid, but your choice of coil or pod determines how this cherry cola behaves, so it is worth understanding.

Most modern pod kits use one of two main designs:

  • Standard round-wire coils: a coil of resistance wire wrapped around a cotton wick. Resistances for salts usually sit between about 0.8 and 1.8 ohms. Higher resistance means gentler heat, a tighter draw and longer life from each fill, which suits an 18mg salt.
  • Mesh coils: a flat mesh of resistance material that heats over a wider surface. Mesh tends to give more even heating, a quicker ramp-up and slightly fuller flavour, and it generally resists dry hits better than a single wire when the pod runs low.

For a flavour with distinct layers such as cherry and cola, either type works, but the lower the heat, the clearer the separation between the two notes. A coil running too hot will make the cherry taste cooked and the cola taste burnt-sugary. If your kit lets you choose a coil resistance, a coil in the mid-to-high resistance range paired with a modest power setting will serve this liquid best.

Coil life with sweet liquids is shorter than with unsweetened ones. Cherry cola contains sweeteners and flavouring compounds that build up as a dark film on the coil, a process often called gunking. Expect a coil or pod to last roughly one to two weeks for regular use, shorter if you chain vape. Signs that it is time to change it include a muted or burnt flavour, a gurgling sound, a weaker throat hit, or a pod that leaks more than usual.

Switching flavours is easiest with a fresh coil. If you move from a strong menthol or a heavily spiced liquid to this cherry cola, a clean coil prevents leftover flavours from bleeding into the cola, a problem vapers call ghosting.

Nicotine strength: is 18mg the right choice?

Choosing a nicotine strength is the most important decision you make with a bottle like this, and it is worth getting right instead of defaulting to the highest number on the shelf. The 18mg/ml strength means 18 milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid. In the UK, the legal maximum is 20mg/ml, so 18mg sits close to the top of what is available.

Because this is a nicotine salt, 18mg feels smoother but also delivers more nicotine more quickly than an 18mg freebase liquid. That is the central point. Many people who switch from freebase to salts at the same number find the salt noticeably stronger. As a rough guide for adults who already smoke:

  • Around 20 cigarettes a day or more: 18 to 20mg salts are the usual starting point for a pod kit.
  • Around 10 to 20 cigarettes a day: 18mg is a reasonable fit, and 12mg is worth trying if 18mg feels strong.
  • Fewer than 10 cigarettes a day: 10 to 12mg is more likely to feel comfortable, and 18mg may be too strong.
  • Social or light smokers: consider 6mg or lower in a salt, or a different format entirely.

This is general guidance, not medical advice. Everybody absorbs nicotine differently, and the device you use also matters, since a tight, high-resistance pod delivers differently from a looser draw.

Signs the strength is too high include dizziness, a racing heart, nausea, a headache, hiccups, or a sharp throat tickle on every puff. If you notice any of these, stop and step down a strength. Signs it is too low include constant cravings, taking many more puffs than expected, and returning to cigarettes. Adjust in small steps, and give each change a few days before judging it.

If you do not smoke, you should not start vaping. Nicotine is addictive, and the main benefit of vaping applies to adult smokers who are trying to switch. Never give nicotine liquids to anyone under 18, and keep bottles locked away from children.

Who it is for, and who should skip it

A liquid like this suits a fairly specific group of adult vapers, and it is honest to say so. It is not the right choice for everyone.

It is a good fit if you:

  • Already smoke or vape nicotine and want a smoother, more cigarette-like hit from a compact pod kit.
  • Prefer sweet, drink-style flavours over tobacco, menthol or dessert profiles.
  • Want to move from sealed disposables to something refillable, so you spend less per week and create less waste.
  • Enjoy cherry or cola flavoured sweets and fizzy drinks and want a vape that echoes them.
  • Like to switch between flavours and would rather buy several 10ml bottles than commit to a single large one.

You should probably skip it if you:

  • Have never smoked or vaped. Nicotine is addictive and there is no reason to start.
  • Are under 18. It is illegal to sell nicotine vaping products to anyone under 18 in the UK, and illegal to buy them on behalf of someone under 18.
  • Use a sub-ohm tank or a high-wattage mod. A nic salt in that kind of device is wasteful and unpleasant, and a shortfill with a freebase nicotine shot is better suited.
  • Want big clouds. Pod-friendly salts produce modest vapour.
  • Dislike very sweet flavours. This is a sweet, soft-drink style liquid and will not suit someone who wants a dry or neutral taste.
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a heart condition or other medical concern, without first speaking to a healthcare professional.

For adults trying to quit smoking, UK health services offer support and, for many people, free or low-cost stop smoking services. Vaping is widely regarded as less harmful than smoking, but it is not risk free, and the aim for many users is eventually to reduce nicotine and stop. If you want to cut down over time, a bottle in this strength is a starting point, and you can step down to lower strengths as your habit eases.

How to use: filling, priming and your first pod

Filling a refillable pod is simple once you have done it a couple of times, and a calm, tidy approach avoids most leaks and flooded coils. These steps apply to the majority of pod kits, but follow your device manual if it differs.

Here is the process in order:

  • Step 1, power down and unplug. Make sure the device is off and not charging. Remove the pod from the battery section.
  • Step 2, open the fill port. Most pods have a silicone bung or a small sliding cover. Pull it back or lift it to expose the hole.
  • Step 3, tilt and fill. Hold the pod at a slight angle, place the bottle nozzle against the edge of the fill port, and squeeze slowly. Avoid dripping straight onto the centre column, since that is the airway.
  • Step 4, stop below the maximum. Leave a small air gap at the top, usually a millimetre or two below the fill line. Overfilling causes leaks and gurgling.
  • Step 5, close the port and wipe. Press the bung back firmly, wipe the outside with a tissue, and wipe the bottle nozzle before closing the cap.
  • Step 6, wait. Leave the filled pod for five to ten minutes so the wick can absorb the liquid. This is the step most people skip, and it is behind most dry hits on a new pod.
  • Step 7, prime and vape. Fit the pod, take two or three gentle draws without pressing the button if your device is draw-activated, then begin as normal.

A few habits improve your experience. Take slow, steady draws of two to four seconds instead of long, hard pulls, since a salt works best with a gentle mouth-to-lung style puff. Pause between puffs so the wick can re-saturate. Keep the device upright when not in use, and carry it in a pocket or bag where the mouthpiece will not be pressed against a hard surface.

Store the bottle with the cap tightly closed, upright, in a cool, dark place. Do not decant nicotine liquid into unlabelled containers, and always wash your hands after a spill. Nicotine can be absorbed through the skin, so wipe up leaks promptly.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with pod vaping have simple causes. Working through them in order will solve almost everything.

  • Dry or burnt taste. Usually the wick has not absorbed enough liquid, or the pod is running low. Refill, wait five to ten minutes, and take shorter draws. If the burnt taste continues after a fresh fill, the coil has failed and needs replacing.
  • Weak or washed-out flavour. Often a sign of a worn coil or of vaping too fast. It can also be vaper's tongue, a temporary dulling of taste. Change the coil, drink some water, and try a different flavour for a day to reset your palate.
  • Leaking from the pod or battery. Common causes are overfilling, a poorly seated pod, or temperature and pressure changes, for example on a flight. Fill to just below the line, make sure the pod clicks fully into place, and wipe any residue off the contacts.
  • Gurgling or spitting. Excess liquid in the airway or condensation. Blow gently through the mouthpiece, wipe it, and avoid overfilling.
  • Device does not fire. Check the battery charge, make sure the pod is clean and properly inserted, and wipe the contact points with a dry cotton bud. If your device has a lock, check that it is not engaged.
  • Throat hit is too harsh. This may mean the strength is too high for you, the power is too high, or the coil is burnt. Try a lower nicotine strength or a gentler setting.
  • Cherry or cola note disappears. Taste fatigue is common with a single sweet flavour. Rotate between two flavours and let your taste buds recover.
  • Darker liquid colour over time. Many sweet and caramel-style flavours darken with age and light exposure. A slight change is normal, but if the liquid smells off or the flavour turns sour, replace it.

If you run through these checks and the problem remains, the fault may be with the device rather than the liquid. Contact the shop or the device maker and have the order number to hand.

Value for money and how it compares

Value in vaping is not just about the sticker price. It is about how much usable vaping you get per pound, how often you have to replace parts, and how much waste you create along the way. Here is how a 10ml nic salt such as this one stacks up against the alternatives, fairly and without exaggeration.

Against sealed disposables. A disposable bundles liquid, coil and battery in one sealed unit that you discard when it is empty. A 10ml bottle of salt filled into a reusable pod kit usually costs less per puff over time, because you only replace the liquid and, every week or two, a coil or pod. The upfront cost is higher, since you need a device, but the weekly running cost tends to be lower and there is far less waste. On the other hand, disposables need no filling, no charging routine beyond plugging in, and no maintenance. If you value pure convenience and vape lightly, a disposable can still make sense.

Against other 10ml nic salts. The UK market is crowded with 10ml salts from well-known names. Many of them offer cherry, cola and fizzy drink flavours, and prices are broadly similar across the category. Where this liquid stands out is in the specific pairing of cherry and cola with a fizzy character, which is less common than plain cherry or plain cola. Where it does not stand out is in anything technical, because nic salts at a given strength are fundamentally alike, and the real differences are in flavour and personal taste. If you already have a favourite salt brand, there is no technical reason to switch, and the decision comes down to whether you want this flavour.

Against shortfills. A 50ml shortfill is cheaper per ml, but it is made for sub-ohm tanks and needs nicotine shots to reach a nicotine strength, so it is a different style of vaping. A 10ml salt is simpler, more portable and suited to pod kits.

A few ways to get more from each bottle:

  • Keep your coil fresh, so you do not waste liquid on a failing wick.
  • Take shorter, gentler puffs, which are more economical and give better flavour.
  • Buy a multi-pack if the shop offers a discount for several bottles, and store spares in a cool, dark place.
  • Choose the right strength, so that you are not vaping more often than necessary to compensate for a strength that is too low.

UK rules, storage, safety and recycling

Vaping products are tightly regulated in the UK, and knowing the rules helps you buy and use them sensibly. Here is what applies to a product like this one.

  • Age restriction. You must be 18 or over to buy nicotine vaping products in the UK. It is also an offence to buy them for someone under 18. Expect age verification at checkout and on delivery.
  • Bottle size. Nicotine-containing e-liquid is limited to 10ml per bottle, which is why this product comes in that size.
  • Strength limit. The maximum nicotine strength is 20mg/ml for e-liquids and for disposable vapes. This bottle, at 18mg/ml, sits under that limit.
  • Labelling. Bottles must carry a health warning, ingredient information, batch details and a child-resistant, tamper-evident cap.
  • Disposable vape ban. Single-use disposable vapes are banned for sale in Great Britain, which is one of the reasons so many adults have moved to refillable kits and bottled liquid.

Storage and safety. Keep bottles upright, capped, and out of reach of children and pets. Nicotine in concentrated form is poisonous if swallowed or absorbed through the skin in large amounts. If liquid is swallowed or gets in the eyes, seek medical advice straight away and have the bottle to hand. Do not store liquids in a hot car or near a heater. Do not mix liquids from different bottles unless you know what you are doing, and never add anything to nicotine liquid that is not designed for vaping.

Recycling. Empty bottles are small pieces of plastic, and plastic and device waste should not go in household bins. Batteries in particular can start fires if crushed in a bin lorry. Take empty bottles, spent pods and old devices to a proper drop-off point. Many UK supermarkets and household waste recycling centres accept small electricals, and some vape shops run take-back schemes. Remove batteries where you can do so safely and follow the local guidance. Refillable kits help here because a single device replaces dozens of disposables over its life.

Frequently asked questions

What does 18mg mean, and is it the right strength for me?

18mg means 18 milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid, or 1.8 percent, which is just under the UK limit of 20mg/ml. It tends to suit adults who smoke around ten to twenty cigarettes a day, while lighter smokers often prefer 10 to 12mg. Nic salts feel smoother but hit faster than freebase, so if you feel dizzy or sick, step down a strength.

How do I charge it?

The bottle is liquid and has no battery, so there is nothing to charge in the box. You charge the pod kit you fill it into, usually by USB-C with the cable supplied with the device. Charging often takes 30 to 90 minutes depending on the kit, and you should unplug it once full and never vape while it is plugged in.

Can I swap flavours, and are there other flavours in the range?

Yes, you can change flavour whenever you like by emptying the pod, rinsing it, and letting it dry before refilling. Ohm Brew sells other flavours in the nic salt range, which you can find in our Ohm category. Fitting a fresh coil when you swap from a strong flavour helps avoid ghosting from the old one.

How long will a 10ml bottle last?

It depends on your device and how often you vape. A 10ml bottle fills a typical 2ml pod about five times, which can mean a few days for a heavy user or a couple of weeks for a lighter one. Gentler, shorter puffs and a fresh coil make a bottle go further.

Is this good value compared with a disposable?

For regular vapers it usually works out cheaper per puff, because you reuse the device and only replace the liquid and a coil or pod every week or two. The upfront cost of a refillable kit is higher, and you have to fill and maintain it. A disposable is simpler but costs more over time and creates more waste, and single-use disposables are now banned from sale in Great Britain.

Who should and should not buy this?

It suits adult smokers or existing nicotine vapers who like sweet, soft-drink flavours and use a pod kit. It is not for non-smokers, anyone under 18, people who are pregnant or have heart conditions unless a clinician agrees, or users of sub-ohm tanks who want big clouds. If you dislike very sweet flavours, a different profile would suit you better.

Will it work in my device?

It works in refillable pod kits and low-wattage mouth-to-lung devices designed for nicotine salts, and it does not fit sealed disposables with no fill port. Using it in a high-wattage sub-ohm tank will give a harsh, wasteful experience. Check your device manual for its recommended liquid type and power range.

Why does my pod leak or taste burnt?

Leaks usually come from overfilling or a pod that is not fully seated, so fill to just below the line and click the pod firmly into place. A burnt taste normally means the wick is dry or the coil is worn, so wait five to ten minutes after filling and replace the coil every week or two. Sweet liquids like cherry cola gunk up coils faster than unsweetened ones.

Do you deliver across the UK, and how fast?

We deliver to addresses across the UK, and orders are age-checked because nicotine products are restricted to adults aged 18 and over. Delivery options and timescales are shown at checkout, and tracking details are sent once the order ships. Someone aged 18 or over should be available to receive the parcel if ID may be requested.

What if something is wrong with my order, and what is the returns policy?

If the bottle arrives damaged, leaking or is not what you ordered, contact us with your order number and a photo and we will arrange a replacement or refund. For hygiene and safety reasons, opened liquids cannot normally be returned, so check the label and flavour before using it. Faulty devices bought separately are covered by the maker's warranty and your statutory rights.

Proper value for the price

Flavour holds up all the way through. Some brands get weaker after a few days but this stays consistent.

Does what it says on the tin

My partner tried this and now we've both switched. Smooth hit, proper flavour, fair price.

Big flavour, small price

Cracking flavour, honestly. Been through a few of these already. Can't fault it at the price.

Super happy with the order

Honestly, I was unsure at first but this has been great. Flavour is strong and lasts the full session. No complaints at all.
