Ohm Brew Lemon and Lime Lolly 10ml 18mg nic salt overview

Ohm Brew Nic Salts Lemon and Lime Lolly is a 10ml nicotine salt e-liquid at 18mg/ml, built around a sharp citrus candy profile. It sits in the Ohm Brew range of bottled nic salts and is aimed at adults who already smoke or vape and want a bright, sweet-and-sour fruit flavour without a menthol or ice finish. The bottle size, the strength and the nic salt formulation are all fixed by the product name, so this page treats those as given and concentrates on what they mean in everyday use.

Nicotine salts differ from traditional freebase e-liquid in the form of nicotine used. A nic salt pairs nicotine with an organic acid, which lowers the pH of the liquid and produces a smoother throat sensation at a given strength. That is why an 18mg nic salt feels noticeably gentler than an 18mg freebase would, and why nic salts are normally used in low-wattage pod kits and small refillable devices rather than in high-power sub-ohm tanks.

In practical terms, here is what you are buying:

  • Size: a 10ml bottle of nicotine salt e-liquid, which is the largest bottle size permitted for nicotine-containing refills in the UK
  • Strength: 18mg/ml (1.8%), which sits under the UK limit of 20mg/ml
  • Flavour: tart lemon and lime with a sweet, boiled-sweet finish
  • Intended use: refillable pod kits and other low-power mouth-to-lung devices
  • Age restriction: sold to over-18s only

This guide covers flavour, throat hit, device pairing, coil choice, strength guidance, who the bottle suits, how to fill and prime a pod, fault-finding, value for money and how it compares with similar bottles. Where we quote numbers such as puffs per bottle, treat them as typical ranges rather than guarantees, because device, wattage and puff length change real-world results considerably. Always read the label on the bottle you receive for the exact ingredient list, VG/PG ratio, batch code and best-before date.

Flavour profile: what a lemon and lime lolly tastes like

In the UK, a lolly can mean an ice lolly or a hard boiled-sweet lolly on a stick. A lemon and lime lolly flavour usually points to the second idea: a glassy, sugar-sweet candy with a sour citrus backbone, closer to a sherbet sweet or a lemon-lime boiled sweet than to freshly squeezed juice. That is the territory this e-liquid is working in, so expect a confectionery take on citrus rather than a natural, pith-and-zest one.

On the inhale, the lemon note tends to lead. It reads as bright and slightly acidic, with a clean, sharp edge that wakes the palate. The lime sits just behind it with a greener, marginally bitter quality that stops the lemon from tasting flat or purely sugary. On the exhale the sweetness takes over, and you get that rounded, sugary candy finish that lingers for a second or two before it fades.

Things you can reasonably expect from this profile:

  • A sweet-and-sour balance that leans fruity rather than sour enough to make your face pucker
  • No cooling or menthol component, so the flavour stays clean and warm rather than icy
  • A light, non-creamy body, which is why it often pairs well with low-wattage pod devices that keep the flavour crisp
  • A sweetness level typical of candy-style nic salts, so it will not taste like a dry or tart lemon juice

Temperature changes how the flavour behaves. At lower wattage the citrus stays crisp and the lolly sweetness is subtle. Turn the power up and the sugars caramelise slightly, the sweetness grows, and the lime edge can get muddied. If you are using an adjustable device, start low and move up in small steps until the balance suits you.

One honest caveat applies to every sweet fruit flavour: flavour fatigue. After several days of vaping the same profile, many people find it tastes fainter, an effect often called vaper's tongue. Citrus profiles tend to tire the palate less quickly than heavy dessert flavours, but if the taste seems to fade, it is worth switching to a different flavour for a day or two, drinking some water, and coming back to it. If you want a cooling finish, look for an ice or menthol variant rather than expecting this bottle to provide one.

Throat hit and vapour production at 18mg

Performance with an e-liquid is mostly about three things: how the nicotine feels in the throat, how much vapour you get, and how efficiently the liquid gets used. At 18mg/ml in a nic salt base, the throat hit is firm but smooth. You will feel it, particularly if you are used to lower strengths, but it should not be harsh in the way a freebase liquid at the same strength would be. The acid used in the salt formulation is what tames the edge.

Nic salts are also absorbed into the bloodstream faster than freebase nicotine, which is why they are popular with people trying to move away from cigarettes. Many users find a handful of short puffs gives a satisfying nicotine feeling, and they take fewer puffs per session as a result. That is a double-edged characteristic: it can help with cravings, but it also makes it easy to take in more nicotine than you intended if you chain vape.

Vapour production is moderate. Nic salt liquids are formulated for mouth-to-lung inhaling on small devices, and the cloud is typically smaller than what you would get from a sub-ohm kit. Bottles in this style commonly sit around a balanced VG/PG ratio, but check the label on your own bottle for the exact split, since that affects both vapour and flavour carry.

As a rough guide to how long a bottle lasts:

  • Many pod kits use somewhere between 100 and 200 puffs per ml, depending on wattage and how long each puff is held
  • On that basis a 10ml bottle gives roughly 1,000 to 2,000 puffs
  • Light users may stretch a bottle over a week or more, while heavier users may finish one in three to four days

These are estimates, not promises. A short two-second draw on a 0.8 ohm coil at 12W uses far less liquid than a long five-second pull at higher power.

Because 18mg is a strong setting, pay attention to how you feel. Nausea, dizziness, headaches, a racing heart or sweating are common signs of taking in too much nicotine too quickly. If any of those happen, stop vaping, get some fresh air, and consider dropping to a lower strength or taking fewer puffs per session. This bottle is designed for people who need a stronger nicotine hit, not for casual or occasional use.

Bottle design and build quality

The packaging matters more with nicotine e-liquid than with most consumables, because there are legal safety requirements built into it. A 10ml nicotine bottle sold in the UK is expected to carry a child-resistant cap, a tamper-evident seal or ring, a health warning, the nicotine content in mg/ml, an ingredients list and batch information. Bottles in this category are usually made from soft plastic with a narrow nozzle, so you can squeeze liquid into a small pod fill port without a dropper. Check the specifics of the bottle you receive, but that is the standard format for this product type.

Things worth checking when your bottle arrives:

  • Seal integrity: the tamper-evident ring should be intact before you open it for the first time
  • Label legibility: nicotine strength, ingredients, warnings and the batch code should all be clearly printed
  • Nozzle tip: a narrow, clean tip makes filling pods much easier and keeps spills down
  • Cap action: the child-resistant cap should need a push-and-turn to open and then close firmly again

Soft plastic bottles are practical but not perfect. They can pick up small amounts of residue around the nozzle, and squeezing too hard can push out more liquid than intended. Squeeze gently, wipe the tip after filling, and keep a tissue handy. The small capacity also means you will use a lot of bottles over time, so if you decide to buy several at once, store spares upright in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat.

Nicotine safety deserves repeating. Liquid nicotine is toxic if swallowed and can be absorbed through the skin. Keep bottles out of reach of children and pets at all times, wash any skin splashes with soap and water straight away, and never decant the liquid into unlabelled containers such as drinks bottles. Most e-liquids carry a shelf life of around one to two years if stored properly, so check the best-before date on the packaging and avoid using liquid that has darkened significantly, smells off or tastes different from when you first opened it.

Devices and battery: what to pair with this e-liquid

An e-liquid does not have a battery of its own, so the battery question here is really about the device you pair it with. Nic salt liquids are designed for refillable pod kits and other low-power mouth-to-lung devices. Popular examples in the UK market include the Vaporesso XROS series, OXVA Xlim, Uwell Caliburn, Geekvape Wenax, SMOK Novo and VooPoo Vmate families. Any refillable pod system designed for nic salts and using coils in the 0.6 to 1.2 ohm range is a sensible match.

Battery capacity in these devices typically runs from roughly 400mAh in the smallest pen-style kits to around 1,000mAh in larger pod mods. As a rough guide:

  • A 500 to 800mAh pod kit will usually last a moderate user most of a day at 10 to 20W
  • Heavier users or those running higher wattage may need to top up mid-day
  • Devices with USB-C charging recharge fully in about one to two hours in most cases

Charging well keeps the battery healthy and safer. Use a reputable 5V plug and the cable supplied with the device, avoid cheap unbranded chargers, and do not leave a device charging unattended overnight or on soft furnishings. If a battery is swollen, damaged, unusually hot or smells odd, stop using it and dispose of it properly.

Sub-ohm tanks and high-power mods are not a good match for this bottle. An 18mg nic salt at 40 or 60W would deliver far too much nicotine too quickly, taste harsh, and burn through liquid at an alarming rate. If you currently use a sub-ohm setup with low-strength freebase liquid, you will need to switch device style as well as liquid if you move to nic salts.

Recycling is part of responsible ownership. Vape devices and batteries should never go in household bin or general recycling. In the UK, retailers that sell vapes are expected to accept waste vape devices for take-back, and local council recycling centres and many supermarket electrical drop-off points also accept small electricals and batteries. Empty e-liquid bottles can usually be recycled as plastic once fully empty, but check your local council guidance because rules differ between areas.

Coil and mesh technology that suits nic salts

The coil is the part of your pod or tank that turns e-liquid into vapour, and the right match makes a real difference to how this lemon and lime lolly flavour tastes. For nic salts, the most common choices are:

  • Standard wire coils (0.8 to 1.2 ohm): simple, widely available and fine for casual use, with moderate flavour and good battery efficiency
  • Mesh coils (typically 0.6 to 1.0 ohm): a flat mesh surface heats more evenly, which tends to improve flavour consistency and vapour volume at low power
  • Ceramic coils: a porous ceramic wick holds up well to sweeteners and often lasts a little longer, though the flavour may feel slightly muted

For a sweet-and-sour citrus candy flavour, a mesh coil in the 0.8 ohm region is a popular choice because it keeps the lemon crisp while still carrying the sweet finish. A higher resistance coil of about 1.0 to 1.2 ohm gives a tighter draw closer to a cigarette, and it uses less liquid per puff, which suits those moving directly from smoking.

Sweet e-liquids make coils work harder. Sugars and sweeteners caramelise on the heating element over time, creating a darker residue that dulls flavour and eventually causes a burnt taste. With a candy-style liquid like this one, expect a coil to last somewhere around one to two weeks of regular use, sometimes less if you vape at higher wattage or chain vape. Replace the coil when the flavour fades, when you notice a scorched taste, or when the pod starts gurgling or leaking.

Always prime a new coil. Fill the pod, wait five to ten minutes for the cotton to soak through, and take a few gentle puffs without pressing the fire button if your device allows it. Skipping this step is the most common reason a new coil tastes burnt on the first hit. If a coil does burn, replace it rather than trying to rescue it, because the scorched taste lingers in the cotton and will spoil the next several fills.

Avoid sub-ohm coils below roughly 0.5 ohm with this bottle. Those coils are built for high-wattage vaping with low-strength liquids, and pairing them with 18mg nic salt would give an unpleasantly strong, harsh and wasteful experience.

Nicotine strength guidance: is 18mg right for you?

Nicotine strength is shown in milligrams per millilitre. 18mg/ml equals 1.8% nicotine by volume, which makes this a high-end strength for a nic salt. In the UK, the legal maximum for nicotine e-liquid is 20mg/ml, so 18mg sits close to the top of what is allowed. That makes it suitable for some current smokers, but too strong for many other people.

As a general guide, not medical advice:

  • 20 or more cigarettes a day, or smoking within half an hour of waking: 18mg to 20mg nic salt is a common starting point
  • 10 to 19 cigarettes a day: 10mg to 12mg is often enough, with 18mg reserved for those who find lower strengths unsatisfying
  • Under 10 cigarettes a day: 5mg to 6mg is usually a better fit
  • Existing freebase vapers on 3mg to 6mg in sub-ohm kits: do not jump straight to 18mg nic salt; start at 10mg to 12mg

Signs that a strength is too high include nausea, dizziness, headaches, a racing heart, sweating or hiccups. Signs that it is too low include constant cravings, still reaching for cigarettes, and chain vaping to compensate. If you are trying to quit smoking, the idea is usually to step the strength down gradually over weeks or months as cravings fade. Many people move from 18mg to 12mg, then to 6mg, and eventually to zero or a very low strength.

Because nic salts are absorbed faster, 18mg of salt can feel stronger than the number suggests. If you are unsure, it is safer to start slightly lower and move up than to begin too strong and feel unwell. Support is available through NHS stop smoking services and community pharmacies, which can help you plan a switch or quit attempt. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or take medication that could interact with nicotine, speak to your GP or pharmacist before using any nicotine product.

Finally, vaping is for adults who already use nicotine. If you do not smoke or vape, there is no reason to start, and this strength in particular is not suited to anyone without an established nicotine habit.

Who this e-liquid is for, and who should skip it

Lemon and Lime Lolly at 18mg is a fairly specific proposition. It combines a strong nicotine level, a nic salt formulation and a sweet-sour fruit flavour, and not everyone will find that combination works for them.

It is likely to suit:

  • Adult smokers moving to vaping who smoke a pack a day or close to it and need a strong nicotine delivery to feel satisfied
  • People already using refillable pod kits who want a bright citrus flavour for daytime vaping
  • Vapers who prefer sweet-and-sour candy profiles over tobacco, menthol or creamy dessert flavours
  • Anyone who wants a light, clean flavour that pairs well with low-wattage mouth-to-lung devices

You may want to look elsewhere if:

  • You do not currently smoke or vape. Nicotine is addictive and this strength is not suitable for beginners without a smoking background
  • You are under 18. It is illegal to sell nicotine products to anyone under 18 in the UK
  • You are sensitive to nicotine or only occasionally vape; a lower strength such as 6mg or 10mg will be more comfortable
  • You use a sub-ohm tank or a high-wattage mod, where an 18mg nic salt will taste harsh and use up quickly
  • You prefer a cooling or menthol finish, in which case an ice variant is a better fit
  • You dislike sweetness in your flavours; a tobacco or unsweetened profile would suit you better
  • You are pregnant or have an underlying health condition and have not discussed nicotine use with a doctor

It also helps to be realistic about what a flavour like this will do over time. A single sweet-and-sour profile is enjoyable but can wear thin if you vape it all day. Some people buy two or three flavours and rotate them. If you are one of those people, a lemon and lime lolly works well as a daytime option alongside a richer evening flavour.

For smokers trying to cut down or quit, the strength is only one part of the picture. Device choice, puff habits and support from a stop smoking service make just as much difference to whether a switch sticks.

How to fill, prime and vape it

Getting the basics right will improve flavour, protect your coil and cut down on leaks. This process applies to most refillable pod kits, but always check your device manual for specific guidance.

  • Step 1, prepare: wash and dry your hands, switch the device off, and remove the pod or tank from the battery section
  • Step 2, open the fill port: most pods have a silicone bung or sliding cover on the side or the top
  • Step 3, fill: tilt the pod, place the bottle nozzle in the port and squeeze gently until the liquid reaches just below the maximum fill line, avoiding the central airflow tube
  • Step 4, close up: push the bung firmly back in and wipe away any spills with a tissue
  • Step 5, wait: leave the filled pod upright for five to ten minutes, or ten to fifteen if the coil is brand new, so the cotton soaks fully
  • Step 6, prime: take two or three gentle draws without firing the device to pull liquid through the coil
  • Step 7, start low: if your device is adjustable, begin around 10 to 12W with a 0.8 to 1.0 ohm coil and increase slowly until the flavour feels right

When vaping, use a mouth-to-lung style: draw into the mouth for two to three seconds, pause briefly, then inhale into the lungs. With a strong nic salt, short and measured puffs are sufficient. Long, forceful draws increase nicotine intake and can cause coughing or dizziness.

A few simple habits help:

  • Top up before the pod is completely empty, as vaping on a dry coil burns the cotton
  • Keep the device upright when not in use to reduce leaking
  • Do not mix this liquid with other flavours, additives or nicotine boosters, as this can change the nicotine strength unpredictably and may damage coils
  • Do not overfill, which can cause flooding and leaks through the airflow
  • Wipe the mouthpiece and the base of the pod regularly to keep things hygienic

If you are travelling by air, remember that pressure changes can push liquid out of a full pod. Fill pods only partially, keep the device in a sealed bag, and check the airline rules about carrying batteries and e-liquid in hand luggage before you fly.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with nic salt vaping are quick to fix once you know what is causing them. Here are the ones that crop up most with sweet citrus liquids.

  • Burnt or scorched taste: usually a coil that has been dry or worn out. Replace the coil, prime the new one thoroughly, and avoid chain vaping while the cotton is still soaking. Lowering the wattage slightly also helps
  • Flavour seems weak or fades quickly: either the coil is nearing the end of its life or you are experiencing vaper's tongue. Swap the coil if it has been in use for more than two weeks, or take a day off this flavour and drink plenty of water
  • Leaking from the pod or into the battery section: check that the coil is fully tightened, the fill port bung is seated and the pod is not overfilled. Pressure changes and leaving the device lying on its side in a pocket can also cause leaks
  • Gurgling or spitting: too much condensation or flooded airflow. Hold the device upright, blow gently through the mouthpiece to clear it, and wipe the base with a tissue
  • Dry hits: the coil is not getting enough liquid. Top up, wait a few minutes for the cotton to soak, and take shorter puffs with a pause between each
  • Throat feels too harsh: the wattage may be too high, the puffs too long or the strength too strong for your habit. Reduce power, shorten puffs, or move to a 10mg or 12mg bottle
  • Sore or dry mouth and throat: drink more water. Nic salts and propylene glycol can dry the mouth, especially at higher strengths
  • Device will not fire: check the battery charge, clean the contacts between the pod and the battery section, and make sure the pod is seated correctly
  • Liquid has changed colour: some darkening over time is normal, particularly with sweet flavours exposed to light and warmth. If it smells off or tastes noticeably different, stop using it

If a problem persists after you have tried these steps, the issue may be with the device rather than the liquid. Try a fresh coil, a different charger and a thorough clean of the contacts. If you still cannot resolve it, contact the retailer or the device manufacturer with details of what happened and when. Never try to force open a battery or modify a device, and stop using anything that gets unusually hot.

Value for money and running costs

Value for money in vaping comes down to cost per millilitre, cost per day, and how often you need to replace coils and hardware. Because UK rules cap nicotine e-liquid bottles at 10ml, you will be buying small bottles regularly, so it helps to calculate the numbers yourself rather than relying on the headline price alone.

A simple way to estimate running costs:

  • Liquid: work out the price per ml by dividing the bottle price by 10, then multiply by how many ml you use per day. Many pod-kit users go through roughly 1.5 to 3ml a day, though your own habit may be higher or lower
  • Coils: a pack of replacement coils usually lasts from one to two weeks per coil when used with sweet flavours, so budget for roughly two to four coils a month
  • Device: a refillable pod kit is a one-off cost that can last for many months with proper care

Buying multi-packs or bundle offers often reduces the cost per bottle, and it is worth keeping a couple of spares at home so you never run out. Check the current price and any multibuy discounts on this product page before you decide.

It is also worth being clear about how this format compares with the alternatives. Since the UK ban on single-use vapes came into force on 1 June 2025, refillable kits with bottled e-liquid are the legal route for most vapers, and over time they usually work out cheaper than repeatedly buying disposables used to. Compared with cigarettes, vaping with refillable devices typically costs a fraction per week, though the exact saving depends on how heavily you smoked and which kit you choose.

Fifty-millilitre shortfill bottles may look cheaper per ml, but they are designed for freebase nicotine and for sub-ohm devices. They are not a direct substitute for a nic salt 10ml bottle, and adding nicotine shots to a shortfill gives a different experience from a ready-made nic salt. For anyone using a pod kit and wanting a strong, smooth hit, the 10ml nic salt is the format intended for the job.

The honest summary: the bottle is small but the nic salt format means you tend to use less liquid than you would with a freebase in a sub-ohm kit. Value is solid if you actually need 18mg and use a suitable pod device, and poor if you buy it and then find the strength too high.

How it compares with other citrus nic salts, and the UK rules to know

Lemon and lime flavours are common across the nic salt market, so it is fair to ask how this bottle compares. Other 10ml nic salt ranges sold in the UK, including brands such as Elfliq, IVG, Nasty and Hayati, all carry citrus or candy-style fruit options, and they are broadly similar in format: 10ml bottle, strengths up to 20mg, designed for pod devices. The differences tend to come down to a few areas rather than any large gap in quality.

  • Sweetness: some competing lemon and lime flavours are drier and more tart, while a lolly profile like this one leans sweeter and more confectionery-like
  • Cooling: many citrus ranges include an ice variant by default. This bottle does not advertise a cooling component, so check for an ice version if that is what you want
  • Strength choice: a number of brands sell a wider spread of strengths, including 5mg, 10mg and 20mg. Check the product listing to see which strengths of this flavour are available
  • Price: 10ml nic salt prices vary between brands and retailers, so compare the cost per ml and any multibuy offers

No single brand is right for everyone. Your best check is to try a small bottle, see how it works with your own device and coil, and judge the flavour yourself. If you already like sweet-sour sweets, a lolly profile is a reasonable one to start with.

Finally, some UK rules worth knowing:

  • Nicotine e-liquid is capped at 20mg/ml, and refill bottles are limited to 10ml
  • Nicotine vaping products cannot be sold to anyone under 18, and it is also illegal for adults to buy them on behalf of under-18s
  • Single-use disposable vapes have been banned from sale in the UK since 1 June 2025, so refillable kits with bottled e-liquid are the standard route
  • Devices and batteries should be taken to a proper recycling drop-off point, not put in household bins
  • Always keep e-liquid out of reach of children and pets

This page is general product information for adult nicotine users. It is not medical advice, and anyone with health concerns should speak to a GP, pharmacist or NHS stop smoking service.

Frequently asked questions

Is 18mg the right nicotine strength for me?

18mg is a high strength suited mainly to adults who smoke around 20 cigarettes a day or who light up shortly after waking. If you smoke fewer cigarettes or only vape occasionally, 10mg or 12mg is usually more comfortable, and lighter smokers often do well on 5mg or 6mg. If you feel nauseous, dizzy or get headaches, the strength is probably too high for you.

Can I use this in a sub-ohm tank?

It is not recommended. Nic salts are designed for low-wattage mouth-to-lung devices such as refillable pod kits, and an 18mg nic salt in a high-power sub-ohm setup would taste harsh and deliver a lot of nicotine very quickly. Use a pod kit with a coil of around 0.6 to 1.2 ohm instead.

How do I charge the device I use with this e-liquid?

The e-liquid itself has no battery, so charging applies to your pod kit or vape device. Use the USB cable that came with it and a reputable 5V plug, and avoid leaving it charging unattended or overnight. Most USB-C pod kits charge fully in roughly one to two hours.

Does this flavour come in other strengths or variants?

Many nic salt ranges offer the same flavour in several strengths, such as 5mg, 10mg and 20mg, as well as other flavours in the same family. Check the listing on this store for the Ohm Brew options currently available. If you want to change flavour without changing strength, look at other 18mg or 20mg bottles from the same brand.

How long does a 10ml bottle last?

It depends on your device, wattage and how often you vape. As a rough guide, a 10ml bottle gives around 1,000 to 2,000 puffs in a typical pod kit, which can be three to four days for a heavy user or a week or more for someone who vapes lightly. Longer puffs and higher power use liquid faster.

Is it good value for money?

Value depends on whether 18mg suits you and whether you use a pod device that is made for nic salts. Work out the price per ml and the cost per day, include the cost of coils, and compare any multibuy offers on the page. Refillable vaping generally costs less than smoking and less than buying single-use vapes used to.

Who should not buy this product?

It is for adult nicotine users only. People under 18, non-smokers, non-vapers, pregnant women and anyone with a heart condition or other health concerns should not use it without medical advice. It is also a poor fit for people who vape occasionally, who prefer lower strengths, or who use high-power sub-ohm kits.

Do you deliver to the whole of the UK?

We deliver to addresses within the UK, and the available delivery options and timings are shown at checkout. Because nicotine products are age-restricted, you may be asked to confirm that you are over 18 when you order or when the parcel arrives.

What is your returns and warranty policy?

E-liquid is a consumable, so unopened and sealed bottles may be returned in line with our returns policy, while opened bottles generally cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons. If your bottle arrives damaged, leaking or incorrect, contact customer support with your order number and a photo and we will put it right. Any warranty on the device you use with the liquid is handled by the device manufacturer.

Can I mix this with other flavours or add nicotine shots?

It is best not to. Mixing liquids or adding nicotine boosters changes the nicotine strength and the balance of the formulation, and it can lead to a harsh throat hit or coil damage. If you want a different taste, use a separate bottle in a clean pod rather than blending them.

Flavour holds up to the last puff

Switched from a well-known brand and this is actually better, especially for the price. Will reorder.

Delivery was super fast and the product is genuine. I've had fakes before so this was a relief.
