IVG Pro 12 Prefilled Pods Box of 5: what you are buying

IVG Pro 12 Prefilled Pods Box of 5 is a multipack of replacement pods for the IVG Pro 12 rechargeable pod system. Each pod arrives sealed and already filled with nicotine salt e-liquid, with the coil built in. There is no bottle to open, no coil to fit and no mess to manage. You click a pod into the device, wait a few minutes for the wick to saturate, and vape. When the pod runs dry, you take it out, fit the next one from the box and recycle the empty. Five pods in one order covers a long stretch of use before you need to think about restocking.

It helps to be clear about what the box is not. It is a consumable accessory, not a complete vape. The pods contain no battery and no charging port, so they only work in the matching IVG Pro 12 device, which is sold separately as the IVG Pro 12 starter kit. If you already own the device, this box is the straightforward way to keep it running. If you do not, you will need the kit first, because pods from other product lines are built around their own devices and should never be assumed to fit.

The IVG Pro 12 pod family is large. Across the range there are 52 flavours, and the pods are offered in 10mg and 20mg nicotine salt strengths, with a separate zero nicotine version for people who want the hand-to-mouth habit without the nicotine. The range carries a manufacturer rating of 10,000 puffs per pod, which we unpack honestly further down, because a rating is not a promise.

This page is written for adults in the UK who already smoke or vape. Vapes contain nicotine, which is a highly addictive substance, and they are not for under 18s, non-smokers or anyone who is pregnant. Below you will find flavour notes, strength guidance, battery and charging advice, a plain-English look at coil technology, troubleshooting, a value breakdown, fair comparisons with the alternatives and answers to the questions we are asked most often.

Performance and puff delivery

The headline number for the IVG Pro 12 range is 10,000 puffs per pod. That figure comes from the manufacturer, and it is worth understanding what it represents. Puff ratings are normally worked out from the amount of e-liquid in the pod divided by an assumed amount used per puff, so they describe a theoretical maximum under a gentle, consistent draw. They are a useful way to compare one product against another, but they are not a measured guarantee of what you will get.

UK rules cap a pod at 2ml of e-liquid, and that fixed ceiling is part of why real-world results differ so much from one person to the next. Short, gentle draws stretch a pod. Long, deep and frequent draws shorten it. Some people find a firmer 20mg strength satisfies them in fewer draws, while others at 10mg take more puffs but each one is milder. Neither pattern is a rule, only something that shows up in how people describe their own habits.

What you can expect on the day is the consistent, mouth-to-lung style airflow typical of a prefilled pod system, with a smooth throat hit at 10mg and a firmer one at 20mg. Output is set by the device rather than by you, so there is no wattage dial to tune. That keeps things simple, and it also means the first pod in a box tastes the same as the fifth, provided they are the same flavour and strength.

  • Things that shorten a pod: long drags, chain vaping, constant top-ups of the habit through the day, and leaving the pod in a hot place where the e-liquid thins and is drawn through faster.
  • Things that stretch a pod: short, gentle draws, pausing between puffs so the wick can re-saturate, and storing the device upright when it is not in use.
  • Things that change nothing: the colour of the pod and the order in which you use the box. Each pod is independent.

A practical way to find out how long a pod lasts for you is to write the start date on the box lid when you fit the first pod, then note the date each one runs out. After one box you will have five real data points and a reliable average, which is more useful than any figure printed on packaging. It also shows you whether 10mg or 20mg suits your routine, and it gives you a sensible reorder point so that you are never left without a spare.

Flavour profile across a 52-flavour family

The IVG Pro 12 pod family runs to 52 flavours, which is wide enough that most tastes are covered. The list below groups a selection by character. Descriptions are based on the flavour names and on how these styles usually taste in nicotine salt pods, so treat them as a guide to direction rather than a laboratory analysis. Flavour perception is personal, and it shifts with strength, so a flavour that seems sweet at 10mg may read as sharper at 20mg.

  • Banana Ice: ripe, slightly creamy banana with a cool finish on the exhale. The cooling keeps a sweet profile from becoming cloying.
  • Blue Raspberry Ice: the sharp, sweet blue raspberry taste familiar from sweets and slush drinks, with menthol cooling over the top.
  • Cherry Ice: a straightforward cherry with a chilled edge, closer to cherry candy than to fresh fruit.
  • Double Mango: a rounder, heavier tropical mango with no cooling, for people who want fruit without menthol.
  • Fizzy Cherry: cherry with a tangy, sparkling note that mimics fizzy sweets.
  • Grape Ice: a juicy purple grape taste with a cold exhale.
  • Classic Menthol: a clean menthol with minimal sweetness, a natural stepping stone for people used to menthol cigarettes.
  • Pink Lemonade: a sweet-sour citrus with a soft, sherbet-like finish.
  • Tobacco: a traditional tobacco style for adults who want something closer to what they are leaving behind.

Availability in the box of 5 follows the options shown on the product page, so pick your flavour and strength there before adding to the basket. If you are new to the range, a sensible approach is to choose one fruit flavour and one menthol or mint flavour across your first two boxes, then keep whichever you reach for more often.

One more note on flavour. After several days on the same sweet flavour, many vapers find the taste seems to fade. This is usually called vaper's tongue, and it is a matter of your palate tiring rather than a fault with the pod. Swapping to a mint, menthol or tobacco pod for a day or two tends to reset things. Because pods are individually sealed, keeping two flavours on the go costs you nothing extra.

Design and build quality

Prefilled pods are simple objects, and the quality markers are correspondingly basic. A pod worth fitting has an intact seal at the fill point, a mouthpiece free of cracks or residue, clean electrical contacts at the base and no e-liquid smeared on the outside when it comes out of the packet. They are moulded plastic bodies with an integrated mouthpiece, and they are meant to be handled by the body rather than by the mouthpiece or contacts.

The pod sits in the IVG Pro 12 device and is designed for that device alone. The fit should feel firm and positive when you push the pod home. A pod that rocks, or sits proud of the body, is not seated properly, and a poorly seated pod is a frequent cause of a no-vapour complaint. Press it in until it stops, then give it a gentle tug to confirm it is held.

When you open your box, run through this quick check on every pod before fitting it:

  • Look for any cracks in the plastic and any sign that the fill point has been disturbed.
  • Check that the contacts at the base are visible, clean and free of sticky residue.
  • Hold the pod up to the light and confirm there is e-liquid inside and no large bubble taking up the chamber.
  • Wipe away any film of e-liquid from the outside with a dry tissue before it goes near the device.

If a pod fails any of those checks, do not fit it. Set it aside, keep the packaging, and contact us with your order number and a clear photograph so that we can sort it out. A damaged or leaking pod can foul the contacts in the device, and that is a bigger problem than a single missing pod.

For carrying, a box of five takes up little space. Keep spare pods upright in the box, away from heat and away from anything that might press on them in a bag. Pods are filled and sealed at the factory, but they are not designed to be squeezed, dropped repeatedly or left on a dashboard in summer sunshine.

Battery and charging: what the pods do and do not include

The pods in this box contain no battery. All the power comes from the IVG Pro 12 device, so charging is something you do to the device, not the pods. We do not quote a battery capacity on this page because that figure belongs to the device and is shown on the starter kit listing and on its packaging, and we would rather point you to the source than guess at a number.

Because the device is rechargeable, you charge it between sessions instead of throwing it away. One device can work through many boxes of pods, which is the central cost and waste argument for a pod system over a single-use vape. It is also the reason a box of five makes sense: you are paying for the consumable part only.

Sensible charging habits protect the device and are worth following:

  • Use the cable supplied with the device, or a good quality replacement, and plug it into a standard USB adapter of the kind used for phones or into a computer port.
  • Do not charge on a bed, a sofa or a pillow, where heat cannot escape, and do not leave it charging unattended overnight.
  • Unplug once the indicator shows it is full. A full device does not need to stay on charge.
  • Do not use the device if it feels unusually hot, looks swollen or has damaged casing. Stop using it and take it for electrical recycling instead.
  • Avoid vaping while it is plugged in unless the device instructions say that is fine.

When the battery runs low you will usually notice weaker vapour and a duller flavour before the device stops completely. That is easy to mistake for a dying pod. If a fresh pod seems flat, charge the device first and try again before you blame the pod. Likewise, avoid leaving the device in a hot car or a freezing coat pocket, as extreme temperatures strain lithium batteries and affect how the e-liquid flows.

Coil and mesh technology in a prefilled pod

In a prefilled pod the coil is built into the pod itself. There is no separate coil to buy, fit or prime, and when the e-liquid runs out the coil goes with it. That design is the main reason prefilled pods are so easy to live with: every new pod is also a new coil, so you never carry a burnt-out coil from one session to the next.

Pod coils generally come in two broad families. Standard wire coils use a thin spiral of resistance wire wrapped around a cotton wick. Mesh coils use a flat or curved strip of fine metal gauze that touches more of the wick at once. Mesh tends to heat more evenly, which many people associate with fuller flavour and fewer hot spots, while a wire coil can be a little quicker to warm up. Neither is automatically better, and the quality of the particular build matters more than the label.

We are not going to state a coil type, resistance or wattage for the IVG Pro 12 pods, because the listing does not give one, and a made-up figure helps nobody. What we can say is how to get the most from any integrated coil:

  • Let it prime. A dry coil burns. Waiting a few minutes after fitting a new pod lets the cotton soak up e-liquid before power reaches the coil.
  • Take gentle first puffs. Two or three light draws pull e-liquid across the wick before you settle into normal use.
  • Space your puffs. Rapid, back-to-back draws can outrun the wick and give a harsh, scorched taste.
  • Be wary of very sweet flavours. Sugary e-liquids leave more residue on a coil over time, which is why the last stretch of a sweet pod can taste different from the first.

If you notice a burnt taste, stop and swap pods rather than pushing through it. Continuing to vape on a scorched coil will not clear it, and it is unpleasant. A fresh pod from the box is the fix.

Choosing 10mg or 20mg nicotine strength

The IVG Pro 12 pods are offered in two strengths, 10mg and 20mg, both using nicotine salt. In the UK, 20mg per millilitre, which is 2 percent, is the legal ceiling for nicotine-containing e-liquid, so 20mg is as strong as pods on sale here can be. Nicotine salts feel smoother in the throat than the freebase nicotine used in older e-liquids, which is why they can be offered at higher strengths without being harsh.

A useful rule of thumb is to match the strength to the way you currently smoke or vape, then adjust after a few days. These are guides, not prescriptions:

  • 20mg: suits adults who smoke regularly or who have been using a similar strength already. It delivers the firmer throat hit that many people expect from a cigarette.
  • 10mg: suits lighter or social smokers, adults stepping down from a higher strength, and anyone who finds 20mg too sharp. It is also the common choice with mint and menthol flavours, which already add their own throat sensation.
  • Zero nicotine: a separate IVG Pro 12 listing exists for people who want to keep the hand-to-mouth routine without any nicotine at all.

Flavour affects how strength feels. Menthol and ice flavours add a cool sharpness that stacks on top of the throat hit, so a 20mg ice pod can feel noticeably harsher than a 20mg mango. If you are unsure, start at 10mg in an ice flavour or 20mg in a sweet one and see which feels right.

Listen to how you feel. If you notice lightheadedness, nausea or a racing heart after vaping, that usually means the strength is more than you need. Stop, take a break, and move to a lower strength. If the cravings return within a few minutes of every session, the strength may be too low. Nicotine is addictive, and we do not recommend vaping to people who do not already use nicotine. Anyone with a medical condition, or who is pregnant, should speak to a doctor or pharmacist rather than rely on a product page.

Who this box suits, and who should skip it

A box of five pods is a sensible purchase for a specific kind of buyer. It is a poor purchase for several others, and it is better to say so plainly than to pretend one product fits everybody.

This box suits:

  • Adults who already own an IVG Pro 12 device and want a stock of pods so they never run dry.
  • Adult smokers moving to vaping who like the simplicity of a closed, prefilled system with no wattage settings or coil changes.
  • Former single-use vape users looking for a rechargeable alternative that produces less waste per day of use.
  • People who like to rotate between a few flavours and want several pods on hand at once.
  • Households where more than one adult uses the same device and wants the same flavour and strength.

You should skip it if:

  • You are under 18. Nicotine products are strictly 18+ in the UK and we do not sell to anyone younger.
  • You do not currently smoke or vape. Nicotine is addictive, and starting is not something we recommend.
  • You are pregnant or have a medical condition and have not taken advice from a healthcare professional.
  • You do not own an IVG Pro 12 device. These pods are not a standalone product, and they should not be assumed to fit devices from other lines.
  • You want to fill your own e-liquid, choose your own strength by the millilitre or adjust power. A prefilled system is deliberately fixed and a refillable kit would suit you better.
  • You want the smallest possible pocket device with no maintenance. A pod system asks you to charge a device and change pods, which is light work but not zero work.

If you sit somewhere in the middle, for instance you are curious but unsure about commitment, the starter kit with one pod is the cheaper way to test the system before buying a full box.

How to fit, use and dispose of your pods

Fitting a prefilled pod takes under a minute. These steps apply to the general design of prefilled pod systems, so always read the instructions inside your device packaging first, since they take priority over anything written here.

  • Step 1. Check that the device is charged, and wash and dry your hands so the contacts stay clean.
  • Step 2. Remove the pod from its packaging and take off any protective cap or seal shown in the instructions. Never pierce or cut a pod to open it.
  • Step 3. Push the pod into the device until it seats firmly. If the device uses a magnetic or snap fit, you will feel it lock in.
  • Step 4. Wait three to five minutes so the wick can saturate. Skipping this step is the most common route to a dry, burnt first puff.
  • Step 5. Take two or three gentle puffs, then vape as normal. Most pod devices are draw-activated, so there is usually no button to press.

To change pods, pull the old one straight out, keeping it upright so no e-liquid runs into the contacts, and fit the new one. If you need to put a part-used pod aside, stand it mouthpiece up in a cool place and wipe the contacts with a dry cloth before refitting.

Disposal matters. Empty pods contain residual e-liquid and electronic parts such as the coil and contacts, so they belong in electrical recycling, not the household bin or the plastic recycling box. In the UK, you can take used vapes and pods to recycling points that accept small electricals. Shops that sell vapes are expected to offer take-back, and most council household waste recycling centres run dedicated bins for small electrical items. Check your local council website for your nearest drop-off point. Also, never put a device with a battery in general waste, as damaged lithium batteries are a fire risk in bin lorries and recycling plants.

Since 1 June 2025, single-use disposable vapes can no longer be sold in the UK. A rechargeable system with replaceable pods is one of the main legal routes for adults who liked the simplicity of a disposable, and recycling the empty pods is part of making that route worthwhile.

Troubleshooting common pod problems

Most problems with prefilled pods have simple causes. Work through the likely ones before assuming a fault, and keep the packaging if you do need to contact us.

  • No vapour, or the device does not respond: check the battery first, then remove the pod and refit it, pressing until it seats fully. Wipe the contacts with a dry cloth. Try a second pod from the box to find out whether the problem lies with the pod or the device.
  • Burnt or dry taste: usually a pod that was not primed, or one being drawn on too rapidly. Rest it for a few minutes. If the taste stays, the pod is likely spent, and a new pod is the cure.
  • Gurgling or spitting: excess e-liquid in the airway. Remove the pod, hold it upright, blow gently through the mouthpiece to clear the air path and wipe away any liquid before refitting.
  • Leaking: can follow temperature swings or air pressure changes, such as a long car journey or a flight. Wipe the pod and device, keep pods upright and avoid squeezing them in a bag. A pod that leaks persistently should be replaced.
  • Weak flavour from a new pod: often a low battery, or palate fatigue after several days on one flavour. Charge the device and try a different flavour for a day.
  • Throat hit too harsh: the strength is probably higher than you need, or you are using a cooling flavour at 20mg. Move to 10mg for the next box.
  • Pod runs out much faster than the rating suggests: normal for heavy or long-draw use. Ratings are a theoretical ceiling, not a typical result.

If you have tried those steps and something still seems wrong, contact us with your order number, the flavour and strength you bought, and a short description or photograph of the issue. A faulty or damaged item should be raised promptly so we can look at it properly. Never try to open or repair a pod or device yourself, and never use one that has been damaged by water or crushed, because the battery is a sealed lithium cell.

Value for money and the multibuy maths

Prefilled pods are priced per pod, so the useful question is what a pod costs per unit of use. The single IVG Pro 12 pod listings have been priced at £5.99 each, with a multibuy of five for £25. At the multibuy rate that works out at £5.00 per pod, a saving of £4.95 across five compared with paying the single price five times. A box of five packaged in one order is the simplest way to buy at that quantity, and you should compare the live price on this page against those figures to see exactly what you are paying.

Measured against the manufacturer rating of 10,000 puffs, £25 for five pods works out at about £0.50 per thousand rated puffs, against roughly £0.60 per thousand at the single-pod price. Real-world numbers will differ from the rating, so this is a way to compare similar products rather than a prediction of your spend. If you take less than the rated puffs from a pod, the real cost per puff goes up for every pod type equally.

  • Device cost is a one-off. The IVG Pro 12 starter kit has been listed at £7.99, after which you only pay for pods.
  • Buying in fives reduces reordering. Fewer orders means fewer parcels and a lower chance of running out at an awkward moment.
  • Free UK delivery applies to orders over £20. If your basket total passes that, there is no delivery charge, and orders placed before 4pm are dispatched that day.
  • All stock is genuine. We buy from authorised suppliers, so what arrives is the real product, with the manufacturer packaging and warnings intact.

The honest caveat is that the cheapest way to vape is still a refillable kit with 10ml bottles of e-liquid, because the cost per millilitre is lower. What you are paying for with prefilled pods is convenience: no filling, no spills, no coil changes. If that convenience is worth a modest premium to you, the maths on a five-pod box is reasonable. If it is not, a refillable device is the better fit.

How it compares with the alternatives

No product is the right answer for everyone, so here is a fair look at where IVG Pro 12 pods sit against the other things you might be weighing up.

  • Against disposable vapes: single-use vapes can no longer be legally sold in the UK, so the comparison is now historical. Pod systems cover the same convenience while letting you keep the battery and replace only the pod, which means less electronic waste per day of use.
  • Against other closed pod systems: major tobacco-company and independent pod brands such as Vuse and others sell prefilled cartridges for their own devices. Their ranges are often narrower, while IVG offers a larger flavour list, 52 flavours in this family. Brand-specific devices can have refinements that a budget-friendly system does not, so it is worth trying more than one if flavour and feel matter to you.
  • Against refillable pod kits and 10ml bottles: these cost less per millilitre and let you pick nicotine strength and flavour freely, but they ask you to fill, prime and sometimes change coils. A prefilled pod is quicker and cleaner, and it costs more over time.
  • Against IVG's own lines: the IVG 2400 rechargeable kits have been listed at £6.99 and suit buyers who want a lower entry point. The IVG Pro 10K line carries a similar puff rating and is a sibling range worth comparing before you commit. Which suits you depends on which flavours you prefer, since each line has its own device and its own pods.

On balance, the IVG Pro 12 box of five is a fair choice if you want a simple, rechargeable, closed system with plenty of flavours and a rated puff count that stays high. It is a weaker choice if you want to adjust power, refill your own e-liquid or carry the smallest device possible. Take the time to compare before you buy, and remember that the most useful measure is how long a pod actually lasts you in daily use.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg nicotine?

Choose 20mg if you smoke regularly and want a firmer throat hit, and 10mg if you are a lighter smoker, stepping down or find 20mg too sharp. Mint, menthol and ice flavours add their own throat sensation, so many people go lower with those. If you feel lightheaded or sick after vaping, the strength is probably more than you need.

How do I charge the IVG Pro 12, and do the pods need charging?

The pods contain no battery and never need charging. You charge the IVG Pro 12 device with its supplied cable using a standard USB adapter or computer port. Do not charge it on soft furnishings or leave it plugged in overnight, and unplug it once it is full.

Can I use different flavours, or swap flavours between pods?

Yes. Each pod is sealed and independent, so you can use one flavour today and another tomorrow by simply swapping the pod. Pull the old pod straight out, keep it upright, and store it mouthpiece up in a cool place if you want to return to it. Choose your flavour and strength on the product page before adding the box to your basket.

How long does one pod last?

The range carries a manufacturer rating of 10,000 puffs per pod, but real use varies widely with how long and how often you draw. Treat the rating as a ceiling. The easiest way to find your own figure is to note the date you fit each pod and the date it runs out.

Is a box of 5 good value?

At the five-pod multibuy price of £25 each pod works out at £5.00, against £5.99 for a single pod, a saving of £4.95 over five. Check the live price on this page against those figures. Refillable kits cost less per millilitre, so prefilled pods are about convenience rather than the lowest running cost.

Who should buy these pods, and who should not?

They suit adults in the UK who already own an IVG Pro 12 device and smoke or vape nicotine. They are not for under 18s, non-smokers, pregnant women or anyone without a compatible device. If you want to refill your own e-liquid or adjust power, a refillable kit is a better fit.

Will these pods fit other IVG vapes?

Do not assume so. These pods are made for the IVG Pro 12 device, and other IVG lines such as the 2400 and Pro 10K have their own devices and pods. Check that your device is an IVG Pro 12 before ordering.

Do you deliver to the UK, and how quickly?

Yes, we deliver across the UK. Delivery is free on orders over £20, and orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day. You must be 18 or over to buy.

What is the warranty or returns policy on pods?

Pods are consumable items, so there is no long manufacturer warranty on them, but faulty or damaged goods are covered by your statutory consumer rights. If a pod arrives leaking, cracked or not working, contact us promptly with your order number and a photo. Our returns policy page sets out the full detail.

How do I recycle used pods?

Do not put empty pods in household bins or the plastic recycling box, because they contain residual e-liquid and electronic parts. Take them to a shop that accepts vape take-back or to the small electricals container at your council recycling centre. Your local council website lists the nearest drop-off point.
