Overview: Slush Brew Purple Mix 10ml at 3mg

Slush Brew by Ohm Brew in Purple Mix is a 10ml bottle of nicotine e-liquid at 3mg/ml, aimed at adult smokers and existing vapers in the UK who refill their own tanks and pods. The Slush name describes the idea well: a cold, drinkable, crushed-ice fruit flavour rather than a dessert, custard or tobacco profile. Purple Mix sits in the grape-and-berry corner of that idea and is built to taste like a purple frozen drink.

At 3mg/ml (0.3 percent) this is a low-strength liquid, which is the strength most people choose when they vape on a sub-ohm tank or a higher-wattage device and take long, airy draws. It is not a disposable, and it is not a pod-system nic salt in the usual 10mg to 20mg range. You need a refillable device to use it, and a little knowledge of coils and wattage helps, which the rest of this page covers in plain terms.

Here is a quick specification list, based on what the product name and format tell us:

  • Brand and range: Slush Brew, made by Ohm Brew
  • Flavour: Purple Mix, a purple fruit blend served chilled
  • Bottle size: 10ml, the largest bottle size UK rules allow for nicotine e-liquid
  • Nicotine strength: 3mg/ml, which works out at 30mg of nicotine across the whole bottle
  • Type: refill e-liquid for tanks, pod kits and sub-ohm devices
  • Age restriction: 18+ only, with age checks at order and on delivery

Always read the label on the bottle you receive for the exact VG/PG ratio, ingredient list and batch code. Labelling can change between batches, and what is printed on the bottle is the final word. Nothing on this page is medical advice. Nicotine is addictive, and this product is for adults who already smoke or vape. If you do not use nicotine today, you should not start.

Flavour profile: what Purple Mix is meant to taste like

The phrase 'Purple Mix' tells you the family rather than a single fruit. In e-liquid, purple flavours usually lean on grape, blackcurrant and dark berries, sometimes with a touch of blueberry or plum for body. The Slush part of the name adds a second layer: a chilled finish that is meant to feel like an iced fruit drink rather than a hard menthol blast. We would rather describe the style honestly than invent a note-by-note recipe the maker has not published, so treat the descriptions below as a guide to what the style generally delivers.

On the inhale, expect a juicy, rounded fruit sweetness with a slightly tart edge from the berry side. On the exhale, the flavour tends to stay on the palate for a few seconds, and the cooling effect arrives late and softly instead of punching the back of your throat. Because the nicotine is only 3mg/ml, there is very little throat hit to compete with the flavour. That makes the fruit and the chill the main event, and it is one reason low-strength fruit-ice liquids are popular with sub-ohm users.

A few things shape how the flavour comes across in practice:

  • Wattage: lower power keeps the fruit brighter and the cooling cleaner. Higher power thickens the sweetness and can flatten the chill.
  • Coil age: a fresh coil shows the most contrast between fruit and cool. As a coil ages, sweeteners build up and the flavour turns muddier.
  • Airflow: a tighter airflow concentrates flavour. A wide-open airflow gives a cooler, more diluted draw.
  • Steeping: leaving a new bottle for a day or two with the cap on, in a cool dark place, can let the flavour settle, though many fruit liquids taste fine straight away.

If you have tried grape ice, blackcurrant ice or mixed berry ice before, Purple Mix should feel familiar, though no two makers blend them the same way. If you dislike any cooling sensation at all, a Slush-style liquid is probably not for you, and a plain fruit with no ice will suit better. If you enjoy a cold fruit drink on a warm day, this is the sort of profile worth trying in a small 10ml size before you commit to anything larger.

Performance and vapour delivery

E-liquid does not have a puff count the way a disposable does, because the number of puffs you get depends on your device, your power setting and how you draw. We can still give you honest, usable numbers. A 10ml bottle holds ten millilitres of liquid, and a typical vaper uses somewhere between 2ml and 6ml a day depending on style. That puts a single bottle at roughly two to five days for most people.

Converted into puffs, the rough guide looks like this:

  • Low-power mouth-to-lung kit (around 10W to 15W): each three-second puff uses roughly 0.01ml, so a 10ml bottle can stretch to around 1,000 puffs or a little more.
  • Mid-power pod or small tank (around 15W to 30W): expect somewhere between 400 and 700 puffs per bottle.
  • Sub-ohm tank (around 40W to 70W): each draw uses noticeably more liquid, so a bottle may last only 200 to 350 puffs.

Those figures are estimates, not lab results. Your own numbers will move with the coil, the puff length and how often you vape. The useful takeaway is that a low-nicotine liquid used in a high-powered device is gone quickly, which is worth knowing before you judge value.

For vapour production, that depends on the VG share in the bottle. Higher-VG liquids produce thicker clouds and a smoother, softer throat feel, while higher-PG liquids carry flavour a little sharper and give more throat hit. Check the label and pick a device that suits the ratio. A slush-style fruit liquid generally performs well in sub-ohm and restricted-lung setups, because the low nicotine keeps the draw gentle and the flavour has room to develop.

One more point on performance: because 3mg is low, you will often vape more often and take bigger draws than you would on a higher-strength liquid, as your body looks for the nicotine amount it is used to. That is normal, and it is the main reason some people step up a strength if they find themselves vaping constantly with little satisfaction.

Design and bottle build quality

Nicotine e-liquid in the UK has to follow specific packaging rules, and the Slush Brew bottle is a standard example of the format. Expect a 10ml plastic bottle with a long, thin nozzle for filling small tank ports and pod cartridges without spilling. The cap is child-resistant, meaning it needs a push-and-turn or squeeze-and-turn action, and there is a tamper-evident ring that breaks the first time you open it. Always check the ring is intact when the parcel arrives. If it looks already opened, contact us before using the bottle.

The label carries the information UK law expects: product name, nicotine strength, ingredients, health warnings, batch information and the contact details of the responsible company. By law, nicotine-containing e-liquids sold in the UK must also be notified to the medicines regulator, the MHRA, before they go on sale. As a shopper, you can look for the standard health warning on the packaging as a quick sanity check that you are buying from a regulated supply chain.

Practical points about the bottle itself:

  • Squeeze response: soft plastic lets you control the flow drop by drop. Squeeze gently, because a hard squeeze on a thin nozzle can overfill a pod.
  • Nozzle fit: thin nozzles fit most standard tank fill ports, though a few very narrow pod ports are fiddly. A steady hand or a small funnel tip helps.
  • Light protection: e-liquid is happier away from sunlight. Store the bottle upright, in a cool, dark place, with the cap fully closed.
  • Child safety: nicotine is harmful if swallowed or if it gets on the skin of a small child. Keep every bottle well out of reach of children and pets, even though the cap is child-resistant.

When the bottle is empty, do not pour leftover liquid down the sink. Let any last drops dry out, then check your local council's guidance on whether small plastic bottles go in household recycling, since small items can be difficult for sorting machinery. The device you vape with is a different matter, and we cover that in the battery section below.

Battery and charging: matching a device to this liquid

E-liquid has no battery of its own, so the battery question is really about the device you pair it with. Getting this right makes a real difference to how Purple Mix tastes and how safely you vape.

Most devices that suit a 3mg liquid fall into three groups:

  • Pod kits with a built-in battery: typically 400mAh to 1,000mAh, charged by USB-C. These suit lower-powered, tighter draws. A 3mg strength is on the low side for them, so many pod users prefer a higher strength.
  • Mid-size box mods with a built-in battery: commonly 1,500mAh to 3,000mAh, giving a day of moderate use at 25W to 50W.
  • Replaceable-cell mods: using one or two 18650 or 21700 cells, usually 2,500mAh to 5,000mAh each. These handle high-wattage sub-ohm vaping and are where low-strength liquids such as 3mg are most at home.

Charging tips that apply to any of them:

  • Use the cable supplied with the device, or a good-quality USB-C cable from a known maker, and a standard wall adapter rated for modest output.
  • Do not leave a device charging overnight or unattended. Lithium cells are safe when treated properly, but they are not meant to be left on charge for hours with nobody watching.
  • Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface, away from bedding and sofas.
  • Never carry loose 18650 or 21700 cells in a pocket with keys or coins. Use a plastic case.
  • If a battery looks swollen, dented or hot while charging, stop using it and contact the manufacturer.

When a vape device or battery reaches the end of its life, do not put it in your household bin or recycling box. Vapes and batteries contain lithium and can cause fires in waste lorries and recycling plants. In the UK, shops that sell vapes are required to take back old vapes and batteries, and household waste recycling centres run WEEE or battery collection points. Many supermarkets also have battery recycling bins near the entrance. Use your postcode on a recycling locator to find the nearest drop-off point.

Coil and mesh technology for a 3mg e-liquid

The coil is where the liquid becomes vapour, so matching the coil to the liquid is the single most useful setup choice you can make. A low-strength fruit-ice liquid like Slush Brew Purple Mix is usually vaped with one of three coil styles.

Sub-ohm mesh coils (0.1 to 0.4 ohm). Mesh coils use a flat sheet of woven metal wrapped against cotton, which gives a large heating surface. That surface spreads heat evenly, which tends to produce consistent flavour and thick vapour. Mesh coils generally run well between 40W and 80W, though you should always follow the wattage range printed on the coil. For a 3mg liquid, this is the most common pairing, since the airy draw balances out the low nicotine.

Regular round-wire coils (0.4 to 1.0 ohm). These are the older, simpler coil design, with round wire wrapped around cotton. They suit lower to mid wattages, around 15W to 35W, and can deliver a slightly more focused flavour. A 3mg liquid works with them, though you may find the strength a little thin.

Pod and mouth-to-lung coils (0.6 to 1.2 ohm). Tighter draws on small pod devices. If you use one, check whether the liquid's VG share suits the coil, because very thick liquids can struggle to soak into the small cotton wicks in pod cartridges and cause dry hits.

Some practical coil habits will protect your flavour:

  • Prime every new coil. Drip liquid directly onto the cotton through the coil's fill holes and let it soak for five to ten minutes before the first puff.
  • Start low. Begin at the bottom of the coil's recommended wattage range and work up in small steps until the flavour is right.
  • Replace on time. Sweet, fruity liquids shorten coil life because sugar-like sweeteners caramelise on the coil. Many people replace coils every one to two weeks.
  • Do not chain vape. Wait a few seconds between draws so the cotton can re-wet.

If the label shows a high-VG ratio, a sub-ohm mesh coil is the natural choice. If the label shows a balanced or higher-PG ratio, a pod or mouth-to-lung coil will cope better.

Nicotine strength guidance: is 3mg right for you?

3mg/ml is a low nicotine strength. In the UK, the legal ceiling for nicotine e-liquid and for refillable or disposable vapes alike is 20mg/ml, so 3mg sits near the bottom of the range. Common strengths on the shelf are 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg for freebase liquids, and 10mg and 20mg for nic salts. Choosing between them comes down to how much you smoked or vaped before, and what kind of device you use.

Here is a straightforward way to think about it:

  • 3mg freebase: suits sub-ohm vaping with large, airy draws. Because you inhale a big volume of vapour, a little nicotine goes a long way.
  • 6mg freebase: a common starting point for former light smokers moving to a mid-power device.
  • 12mg to 18mg freebase: for people who smoked heavily and use a tight, low-wattage draw.
  • 10mg to 20mg nic salt: built for small pod kits and low-power use, with a smoother throat feel at higher strengths.

If you currently use a 20mg disposable or a 20mg nic salt pod and move to 3mg on a sub-ohm tank, the difference can be dramatic. Many people find they crave nicotine and end up vaping all day. If that sounds like you, a 6mg or 12mg liquid is a more realistic place to start. If you vape on a sub-ohm device and want to reduce nicotine over time, 3mg is a sensible step down.

3mg is also used for people who want to keep the habit of vaping with minimal nicotine, and as a mixing base. Some vapers combine a 3mg bottle with a higher-strength bottle to reach a custom strength. If you do, keep a note of the maths, and never mix anything other than e-liquid made for vaping.

A short word on safety: nicotine is addictive, and no strength is risk-free. If you feel dizzy, sick or have a racing heart after vaping, stop, drink water and consider a lower strength or a break. Pregnant or breastfeeding people, anyone with heart conditions, and anyone unsure should speak to a pharmacist or GP. The NHS offers free stop-smoking support if your goal is to quit nicotine entirely.

Who Slush Brew Purple Mix is for

Every flavour and strength has an audience. Being clear about who this product suits, and who it does not, saves you money and avoids a disappointing first bottle.

It is a good match for:

  • Sub-ohm vapers who take long, airy draws and want a low-nicotine fruit liquid they can vape through the day without it feeling harsh.
  • Vapers stepping down from 6mg or 12mg who want a gradual nicotine reduction without giving up flavour.
  • Fruit-and-ice fans who already enjoy grape, berry or blackcurrant profiles and want a chilled, drink-style version.
  • People who mix their own strength and need a flavoured low-nicotine base to blend with a higher-strength bottle.
  • Anyone moving away from disposables now that single-use vapes are banned for sale in the UK, who is ready to learn a refillable device and wants a simple, low-strength starting liquid for a sub-ohm kit.

It is probably not the right choice for:

  • Heavy smokers just starting out. If you smoke 15 or more cigarettes a day and use a small pod, 3mg is unlikely to feel satisfying. You may relapse to smoking, which defeats the purpose.
  • Anyone who dislikes cooling sensations. The slush style includes a chill, and some people find it uncomfortable on sensitive teeth or throats.
  • Non-smokers and under-18s. Nicotine products are for adults who already use nicotine. It is illegal to sell them to anyone under 18, and we check.
  • People who want a ready-to-use device. This is a liquid, not a kit. You need a compatible tank or pod and a charged battery.

If you are not sure where you fit, think about your current habit. Are you a light or moderate vaper who uses a sub-ohm tank? 3mg is a reasonable fit. Are you a heavy smoker trying a small pod for the first time? A higher strength is more likely to help you stay off cigarettes. If you want personal advice about quitting, your local pharmacy or stop-smoking service can offer it free of charge.

How to use Slush Brew Purple Mix

Using a 10ml refill bottle is simple once you have done it a couple of times. Follow these steps for a clean fill and a good first vape.

  • Check your device is switched off and, if it is a tank, that it is not currently being used. Wash and dry your hands first.
  • Open the tank or pod. On most sub-ohm tanks you unscrew the top cap, or slide the top section open, to reveal the fill port. On pod devices, pull the pod out and find the small rubber fill plug.
  • Press and turn the bottle cap to open the child-resistant lid. Keep the bottle upright while opening so nothing spills.
  • Fill slowly, tilting the tank slightly and aiming the nozzle at the inside wall. Never fill over the central chimney tube, because liquid pours down into the airflow and causes leaks and gurgling.
  • Stop below the maximum line. Leave a little air space at the top. Overfilling is a common cause of leaks.
  • Close the tank securely, wipe any spillage off the outside, and wait five minutes if the coil is new so the cotton can soak.
  • Set the power at the low end of the coil's recommended range. Take a few gentle, slow draws, and raise the wattage only if the flavour is faint.

For daily use, a few habits keep things tidy:

  • Take slow, steady draws of three to five seconds on a sub-ohm tank. Shorter draws on a pod.
  • Refill before the tank is nearly empty. Running the tank dry burns the coil and ruins the flavour.
  • Keep the tank upright when you can, and store the device standing up overnight.
  • Rinse the tank with warm water and dry it fully every time you change coils or flavours.

Keep the bottle in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and heat, and well away from children and pets. Do not mix this liquid with other substances, and do not heat it in any way other than through a vaping device. If any liquid touches your skin, wash it off with soap and water. If it gets in your eyes or is swallowed, seek medical help straight away and keep the bottle to hand so you can read the label to the responder.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most problems with a new bottle are really device problems. Here are the ones we hear about most often, and how to handle them.

  • Dry or burnt taste. Usually a coil that is not primed, a tank that ran low, or power set too high. Replace the coil if the burnt taste stays, prime the new one properly, and lower the wattage.
  • Gurgling or spitting. Too much liquid has pooled near the coil. Check you did not overfill, tilt the device and gently blow through the mouthpiece with the device off, or reduce the airflow slightly.
  • Leaking from the tank. Look for a cracked seal, a cap that is not fully tightened, or overfilling. Dry the tank, check the O-rings, and refill to a lower level.
  • Flavour seems weak or flat. A tired coil is the most frequent cause. Replace it. Check also that the wattage is within the coil's range and that the airflow is not wide open.
  • Vaper's tongue. Sometimes you lose the ability to taste a flavour after vaping it for hours. Switch to a different flavour for a day, drink water, and the sense usually returns.
  • Throat feels dry or irritated. Hydrate well. The cooling effect can feel harsher on a dry throat, and a lower wattage or a different airflow setting may soften it.
  • Weak nicotine feeling. That is expected at 3mg. If it is a problem, consider a higher-strength bottle rather than vaping harder, and do not exceed what the device and coil are designed to handle.
  • Device does not fire. Check the battery charge, make sure the tank is threaded on properly, and clean the contact pin. Some devices have a lock that needs five quick presses of the button to release.

If a coil is gunked up with dark residue after only a few days, it is a sign that the liquid is quite sweet or the wattage is too high. Fruity, sweet liquids always shorten coil life compared with unsweetened or tobacco flavours, and it is worth keeping a spare coil in your bag.

If you have tried these steps and the liquid still tastes wrong, or the bottle arrived damaged or with a broken seal, contact our team with your order number and a photo. Do not keep using a bottle you are unsure about.

Value for money

A 10ml bottle is a small unit, so the useful measure of value is cost per millilitre and cost per day of use, not just the sticker price. Compare it against the alternatives you are actually considering.

Against a disposable. Single-use vapes have been banned from sale in the UK since June 2025, so this comparison is now about what you can legally buy. Where they were sold, a disposable held around 2ml of liquid in total. A 10ml refill bottle holds five times that, plus it is paired with a device you keep, so the running cost per millilitre is lower once you have the kit. The trade-off is the upfront price of a device and the time it takes to learn how it works.

Against a 50ml or 100ml shortfill. Larger shortfill bottles are cheaper per millilitre, but they come nicotine-free and need nicotine shots added to reach a strength, and most shortfills are made for sub-ohm use. If you want a ready-to-use 3mg liquid with no mixing, the 10ml bottle is simpler, even if it costs a little more per ml.

Against other 10ml fruit-ice liquids. There are plenty of 10ml iced fruit liquids from established UK makers at similar prices. Where Slush Brew differs is the drink-style concept and the purple profile. We would not claim it beats every rival on flavour, because taste is personal. Grape and berry ice flavours from other makers can be close in style, and some people prefer a sharper or sweeter version. Our advice is to buy one bottle, give it a week, and decide.

Against nic salts. Nic salt 10ml bottles in 10mg and 20mg strengths are made for small pod devices. They cost about the same per bottle, but they are intended for a different type of device. If you use a pod kit, a nic salt is a better match. If you use a sub-ohm tank, 3mg freebase is the better fit.

A fair way to judge value is to work out how many days a bottle lasts for you. If a bottle gives you three days, you can compare the price directly against the cost of the cigarettes it replaced. Remember that coils are a running cost as well, and sweet liquids use them up a bit faster. Think about the price of replacement coils when you add up the weekly total.

Honest comparison, storage and buying notes

To finish, here is a balanced summary of strengths and limits, plus the practical notes that help you buy well.

What works in its favour:

  • Clear, drink-style concept: a cold purple fruit flavour that is easy to understand.
  • Low 3mg strength that suits sub-ohm vaping and gradual nicotine reduction.
  • Standard 10ml size with a thin nozzle, a child-resistant cap and a tamper-evident seal.
  • Sits at a sensible price point for a branded 10ml liquid.

What to weigh up:

  • 3mg will not satisfy most heavy smokers on a small pod device.
  • Sweet, iced liquids shorten coil life, so budget for extra coils.
  • A cooling profile is not for everyone, and the only way to be sure is to try it.
  • Ten millilitres goes quickly in a high-powered sub-ohm tank.

Storage. Keep the bottle capped, upright and out of direct sunlight. Heat and light can darken the liquid and dull the flavour over time. Most e-liquid carries a best-before date, so check the label and use older bottles first. Keep it away from children, pets and food.

Compatibility. This liquid is made for refillable vape devices. It is not designed for old cartridge systems that need specific proprietary pods unless the pod has a refill port, and it should not be used in any device you cannot refill. If you are new to vaping, ask yourself which device you plan to use before you choose a strength.

Responsible buying. We sell to adults aged 18 and over only, and a carrier may ask for ID on delivery. Dispose of empty bottles responsibly, and take old devices and batteries to a proper recycling drop-off point rather than the bin. If you want to stop using nicotine altogether, free local stop-smoking services and NHS resources can support you.

Overall, Slush Brew by Ohm Brew Purple Mix 10ml 3mg is a fit-for-purpose, low-strength fruit-ice liquid. It is one option among many, and the sensible approach is to match it to a suitable device, set the power sensibly, and judge it on your own palate.

Frequently asked questions

Which nicotine strength should I choose, and is 3mg right for me?

3mg/ml is a low strength that suits sub-ohm tanks and big, airy draws, and it is also a useful step for people reducing their nicotine. Heavy smokers or people using a small, tight-draw pod usually need a higher strength such as 6mg, 12mg or a nic salt, otherwise the liquid can feel unsatisfying. The UK limit is 20mg/ml, so 3mg is far below the ceiling.

Is 3mg strong enough if I am switching from smoking or a disposable?

For most smokers, probably not on a small pod, because 3mg delivers far less nicotine per puff than a 20mg disposable or a 20mg nic salt. It can work on a high-powered sub-ohm device where you inhale a lot of vapour, and many people go up a strength if they find themselves vaping constantly. A pharmacist or stop-smoking adviser can help you pick a sensible starting point.

How do I charge the device I use with this liquid?

The e-liquid has no battery, so charging depends on your device. Use the supplied USB-C cable or a reputable replacement, charge on a hard surface, and never leave it charging overnight or unattended. For loose 18650 or 21700 cells, use a proper external charger and keep them in a plastic case when carrying them.

Does Slush Brew come in other flavours or strengths, and can I swap?

Slush Brew is sold in several flavours and strengths, so you can move to a different flavour or to a higher or lower strength by picking another listing. Rinse your tank and consider a fresh coil when you change flavour, otherwise the old taste can linger. Stock and range can change, so check the product page for what is currently available.

How long does a 10ml bottle last?

It depends on your device and how often you vape, but most people get between two and five days from a 10ml bottle. On a low-powered mouth-to-lung kit it can stretch to around 1,000 puffs, while on a high-wattage sub-ohm tank it may be nearer 200 to 350 puffs. Treat these as estimates rather than guarantees.

Is it good value compared with other options?

Per millilitre it is cheaper to run than a disposable was, but a 50ml or 100ml shortfill with nicotine shots costs less per ml if you are happy to mix. The 10ml size makes sense when you want a ready-to-use 3mg liquid and want to try a flavour without committing to a large bottle. Remember to include replacement coils in your running costs, since sweet liquids wear them faster.

Who should and should not buy this product?

It suits adult smokers and existing vapers who use a refillable sub-ohm or mid-power device and want a low-strength, chilled purple fruit flavour. It is not for under-18s, non-smokers, or anyone who is pregnant or has a heart condition without medical advice. It is also a poor match for heavy smokers on a small pod who need a higher nicotine strength.

What are the UK delivery and age-check arrangements?

We sell only to customers aged 18 and over, and your order may be age-checked at checkout and again on delivery by the courier. UK delivery options and costs are shown at checkout, and delivery times depend on the service you choose. Someone aged 18 or over needs to be available to receive the parcel in case ID is requested.

What is the warranty and returns position for e-liquid?

E-liquid does not carry a device-style warranty, but your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still apply if the item is faulty, damaged or not as described. For hygiene and safety reasons, sealed liquids that have been opened are generally not returnable unless they are faulty. If your bottle arrives leaking or with a broken tamper seal, contact us with your order number and a photo.

Can I use this liquid in a disposable vape or a pre-filled pod?

No. This is a refill liquid for devices with a fill port, such as tanks and refillable pod kits, and it should not be forced into sealed disposables or pre-filled pods. Single-use disposable vapes can no longer be sold in the UK, so a refillable kit is the practical route. Recycle old devices and batteries at a shop take-back point or a household waste recycling centre, never in the bin.

Does the job perfectly

Switched from a well-known brand and this is actually better, especially for the price. Will reorder.
