Tick Tock Magic 8000 Berry Blaze pods: what you are buying

Tick Tock Magic 8000 Prefilled Refill Pods Berry Blaze is a sealed, ready filled replacement pod for the Tick Tock Magic 8000 device, carrying a manufacturer rating of 8,000 puffs. It is a mixed berry flavour made with nicotine salt, it comes in 10mg or 20mg, and it costs £6.49 per pod.

The first thing to be clear about is what this listing is. It is a pod, not a complete device. If you already own a Magic 8000, this is the part you click in when the previous pod runs flat. If you do not own the device yet, the complete kit on the Tick Tock Magic 8000 kit page is the better starting point, because it includes the hardware that this pod plugs into.

Here is the specification in plain terms, limited to what the product data actually supports.

  • Puff rating: 8,000, as stated by the manufacturer.
  • Format: prefilled closed pod, so there is nothing to top up and nothing to assemble.
  • Flavour: Berry Blaze, listed as a mixed berry profile.
  • Nicotine: 10mg or 20mg nicotine salt, chosen at the point of purchase.
  • Price: £6.49 per pod.
  • Age restriction: strictly 18+, with age confirmed at checkout.

Where a figure is not on that list, we have deliberately left it off this page. Battery capacity, coil resistance and exact liquid volume are not published in the data we hold for this product, and a confident invention helps nobody. The sections below explain what each of those things means in general, what the UK rules require of any product in this category, and how to judge the pod from the numbers that are real.

This page is written for adults who already smoke or vape. Nicotine is addictive, and these pods are not intended for anyone under 18 or for people who have never used nicotine.

Pod or kit: understanding the difference before you order

Plenty of returns in this category come from one avoidable mistake, which is buying a pod when the buyer needed a complete device, or the reverse. The distinction is simple once it is spelled out.

A kit is the device plus a first pod. It contains the battery, the charging port, the airflow path and the electronics, along with one filled pod so you can use it straight away. A refill pod is only the consumable part. It holds the liquid and, in a closed pod system, the heating coil as well. It has no battery of its own and does nothing without a compatible device to power it.

That is why this listing is useful if you already have a Magic 8000. You skip paying for a second charger and a second body, and you buy only the part that wears out. If you are starting from nothing, you need the device first. The Magic 8000 kit covers that, and the parent listing for the Magic 8000 prefilled refill pods shows the pod range as a group.

A few practical points follow from this.

  • These pods are matched to the Magic 8000 device. Do not assume they fit other Tick Tock hardware, and do not assume pods from other brands fit the Magic 8000.
  • The Tick Tock Mini 2000 Berry Blaze pod shares the flavour name but belongs to a different, smaller device. The names look alike, so check the product title before checkout.
  • A pod is sealed. You cannot refill it, and you should not try to open it, since doing so damages the coil and the seals and can cause leaks.

If you are unsure which device you own, look at the body of it. The model name is normally printed on the casing or the box. When in doubt, buy the complete kit rather than a pod that may not fit.

Performance and puff delivery across an 8,000 puff rating

An 8,000 puff rating is a manufacturer figure. It is calculated under test conditions with a machine drawing at a set length and rhythm, and real use rarely matches it exactly. That does not make the number meaningless. It makes it a comparison tool, useful for ranking products against each other rather than for predicting your own pod to the day.

What shifts the real result is how you draw. Short, gentle pulls use less liquid per puff than long, hard ones, and a person taking a few puffs in the evening will see the pod last far longer than someone drawing steadily all day. Treat the figure as a ceiling that careful use gets close to, and heavy use falls below.

To make that concrete, here is the arithmetic at three different rates of use, assuming the full rating is reached.

  • About 150 puffs a day: roughly 53 days from a single pod, which works out at around 12p a day.
  • About 300 puffs a day: roughly 27 days, which is around 24p a day.
  • About 500 puffs a day: roughly 16 days, which is around 41p a day.

These are worked examples, not promises. Count your own habits honestly and you will land somewhere on that range.

On delivery of vapour, closed pod systems in this class are designed to give a consistent draw from the first puff to near the last. You should expect the flavour and the throat feel to stay broadly steady through most of the pod's life, then fade towards the end. The signs that a pod is nearly finished are a thinner flavour, a slightly harsher or warmer draw, and less vapour per puff. When you notice those together, it is time for a fresh pod rather than pushing on.

One habit protects performance more than any other. Leave a newly fitted pod for a minute or two before the first draw. That gives the wick time to saturate, and it prevents the dry, scorched first puff that people sometimes blame on the product itself.

The Berry Blaze flavour profile

Berry Blaze is listed as a mixed berry flavour, which tells you the direction without promising an exact recipe. Mixed berry profiles in nicotine salt pods generally lean on a sweet, rounded fruit base with a tart edge from the darker berries, and Berry Blaze fits that family. The word blaze in the name suggests a bolder, more energetic take than a plain single berry, but manufacturers do not publish ingredient breakdowns, so we describe the character rather than inventing tasting notes.

Here is how a flavour like this tends to behave in use.

  • On the inhale: a layered berry sweetness rather than one dominant fruit, which keeps the draw interesting for longer than a single note does.
  • On the exhale: a lingering fruit finish, with tartness more noticeable at the back of the tongue than at the front.
  • Over a full pod: mixed fruit profiles tend to wear well, because the blend gives your palate several things to register. Single note flavours are the ones people tire of first.

Flavour is personal, and descriptions only go so far. If you like blueberry, raspberry or blackcurrant style vaping, this is the right neighbourhood. If you prefer menthol, tobacco or dessert flavours, a mixed berry will not be what you are after, and it is better to know that now than after opening the pack.

If you want to compare before committing, several nearby pods in the same range sit close to this one on the fruit spectrum.

Palate fatigue is real. If a flavour that tasted vivid last week now seems muted, the issue is often your taste buds rather than the pod. Switching to a different profile for a few days usually resets it, which is one of the quiet advantages of a pod system over a fixed device.

Pod design, fit and build quality

A prefilled pod is a small sealed component, and its build quality shows up in three ways: how it seats, how it seals, and how it behaves when you carry it around.

Seating. The pod should push into the Magic 8000 device with a firm, even fit and sit flush against the body. A pod that wobbles, or that stands slightly proud of the casing, has not fully seated. Remove it and refit it with a straight push rather than an angled one. Poor contact between the pod and the device is the most common cause of a pod that seems dead on arrival, and it very often turns out to be a seating issue.

Sealing. Because the liquid is already inside, the pod relies on its seals to keep it there. Quality control across the category is generally good, but the seals are designed for normal conditions. Heat, pressure changes and rough handling are what stress them. Keep spare pods somewhere cool, and keep them upright where you can.

Handling. The pod is plastic and is not built for rough treatment. A few habits help.

  • Hold it by the body when fitting, not by squeezing the mouthpiece.
  • Do not pull or twist the mouthpiece, which is part of the sealed assembly.
  • Keep pods away from keys and coins in a pocket, where they can be scratched or cracked.
  • Check a new pod for visible cracks or leaked liquid before fitting. If anything looks wrong, do not use it, and contact us.

A closed pod also has a design benefit that is easy to overlook. It cannot be overfilled, mis-filled with the wrong strength or contaminated with dust, because you never open it. For adults who want a vape that behaves the same way every time, that predictability is a large part of the appeal.

Nicotine is an addictive substance, and pods should be stored out of reach of children and pets. Spare pods contain liquid that should not be swallowed or allowed on skin or eyes. Keep the original packaging if you can, since it carries the manufacturer's warnings and batch details.

Battery and charging: what the device does and what the pod does not

Readers often look for a battery size on a pod listing. There is none to find here, and the reason is worth understanding. A refill pod does not contain a battery. The power comes from the Magic 8000 device that the pod clicks into, so the capacity, the charging port and the charge time all belong to the device and not to the pod.

We do not publish a milliamp hour figure for the Magic 8000 device in this listing, because it is not in the product data we hold and we will not guess. What we can tell you is how a rechargeable pod device generally behaves, so you can plan around it.

  • Swapping pods does not reset the battery. The device keeps whatever charge it had, so a fresh pod on a flat battery still will not work.
  • You will probably charge the device more than once per pod. A high puff rating pod outlasts a typical charge, so expect to recharge several times before the liquid runs out. Watch your own device to see how it behaves.
  • Weak vapour with a full pod often points to a low battery. If the draw feels thin and the pod is not yet near its end, charge before you blame the liquid.

Safe charging matters more than fast charging. Rechargeable devices use lithium-ion cells, which are safe in ordinary use and demand sensible handling.

  • Use the cable that came with the device, or a reputable replacement, and a standard phone-style charger from a recognised maker.
  • Charge on a hard, clear surface, not on a bed, sofa or under a pillow.
  • Do not leave a device charging unattended for long periods or overnight.
  • Stop using any device that becomes unusually hot, swells, smells odd or shows damage, and dispose of it through a proper recycling point.

Please do not put a device in general household waste or recycling bins. Lithium cells cause fires in bin lorries and sorting plants, and the UK has dedicated routes for vape waste, which the how-to section below covers.

Coil and mesh technology, stated without guesswork

The coil is the heating element that turns liquid into vapour, and in a closed pod system it sits inside the pod. That arrangement has a useful consequence. Every time you fit a new pod, you also fit a new coil, so there is no separate coil to buy, prime or replace. For people who do not want to learn about resistance values and wicking, that is a real convenience.

We have not been given a coil type or resistance for this specific pod, so we do not state one. What we can explain is the difference between the two designs you are likely to meet in the category, so the terms make sense when you see them elsewhere.

  • Round wire coils are a wound wire around a cotton wick. They are a long-established design, with a more concentrated heat point.
  • Mesh coils use a flat, perforated sheet of metal, which gives a larger surface area for heating. The usual claim for mesh is more even heating, steadier flavour and a quicker response, and it is common in high puff rating pods because it suits the way large capacity liquid is drawn through.

Which one a pod uses affects how it feels more than how long it lasts. What decides lifespan is the liquid volume and your draw pattern, and what decides how pleasant the draw is, is how steadily the wick is fed.

You can judge the coil in practice, whatever its design, by three observations.

  • Priming. A well-fed coil gives a smooth first puff after a minute's wait. Dry or scorched hits point to a coil not yet saturated, or to a pod that has run low.
  • Consistency. The flavour should stay steady through the early and middle life of the pod.
  • Fade pattern. A gradual thinning near the end is normal. A sudden burnt taste in the middle of the pod is not, and usually means over-rapid drawing.

Chain-drawing, which means puffing repeatedly with no gap, is the habit that stresses a coil most. Leaving ten or fifteen seconds between puffs lets the wick refill and keeps the flavour clean to the end.

Choosing between 10mg and 20mg nicotine salt

This pod comes in 10mg or 20mg. Both are nicotine salt, and 20mg per millilitre is the highest strength the UK allows in a vape product, which is why you will not see anything above it on a lawful shelf. Choosing between the two is the most important decision on this page, so it deserves a proper explanation.

Nicotine salt formulations are designed to feel smoother than traditional freebase liquid at the same strength. That smoothness is why a strength that sounds modest on paper can still feel substantial in use. A 20mg salt delivers nicotine efficiently, and a 10mg salt is distinctly lighter.

  • 10mg suits adults who smoke lightly or occasionally, adults who already vape at a lower strength, and anyone who finds stronger salts harsh or dizzying.
  • 20mg suits adults who smoke daily at a moderate or heavy level, and those who want a throat feel closer to smoking. It is the maximum, so it is not the place to start if you are unsure.

A reasonable rule is to pick the lower strength that satisfies you, not the higher strength that sounds safe. If you take twenty puffs and feel lightheaded, nauseous or jittery, the strength is too high. If you find yourself drawing constantly without feeling satisfied, it may be too low, and a stronger pod could mean fewer puffs overall.

Strength also interacts with the puff rating in a way that surprises people. The 8,000 figure does not change between 10mg and 20mg. What changes is how many puffs you personally need. Someone on 10mg may draw more often to feel settled, which uses the pod faster. Someone on 20mg may draw less often, which stretches it. Neither pod is better value than the other on paper. Both are listed at the same price.

This is general information and not medical advice. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or have any health question about nicotine, speak to a pharmacist or GP. NHS stop smoking services can also give free, personal support if you want to change how much nicotine you use.

If you want help comparing strengths across the wider catalogue, the prefilled vape pods collection lists strengths on each product.

Who these pods suit, and who should look elsewhere

Matching a product to a person is the useful part of any buying guide, so here is the straight version.

These pods suit you if:

  • You already own a Tick Tock Magic 8000 and want a replacement pod in a flavour you know you like.
  • You are an adult smoker or existing vaper who wants a low-effort setup with no bottles, no coils and no assembly.
  • You prefer fruit flavours, and a mixed berry profile appeals more than mint, tobacco or dessert styles.
  • You want a long-lasting pod, so you change it rarely and keep the running cost low.
  • You like to rotate flavours. Pods are the cheapest way to try a different taste on a device you already own.

You should look elsewhere if:

  • You do not own the Magic 8000 device. Buy the complete kit first, or a different complete product.
  • You want to control the liquid yourself, mixing strengths or flavours. That is the job of a refillable system, and a closed pod gives you no such control.
  • You want the smallest possible pocket device. A high capacity pod system is built for endurance rather than for minimal size.
  • You have never used nicotine. These products are for adults who already use nicotine, and not for anyone else.
  • You are under 18. We cannot supply you, and age checks apply to every order.

It is worth adding that adults who smoke often choose a pod system because the routine is familiar. You draw, you exhale, and you put it away. If that describes what you are looking for, a closed pod device does the job simply. If you are the sort who enjoys adjusting airflow and testing different liquids, you will probably find it limiting after a while.

If you are weighing complete devices rather than pods, the prefilled pod kits collection puts the closed pod options side by side.

How to fit, use and look after your pod

Fitting a pod takes under a minute, and doing it correctly prevents most of the problems people write to us about. Here is the sequence.

  • Check the device is switched off or idle before you remove the old pod, and take the old one out cleanly.
  • Remove any protective film, cap or plug from the new pod. Packaging varies, so look over the pod before fitting it.
  • Push the new pod in firmly and evenly until it seats flush against the device body.
  • Wait one to two minutes so the wick can saturate before the first puff.
  • Take the first few puffs gently, two or three seconds each, with a pause between them.

From there, a few habits keep a pod performing properly across its life.

  • Pause between puffs rather than chain drawing, to avoid overheating the coil.
  • Store the device and spare pods upright, somewhere cool and out of direct sun. A hot car in summer is the classic cause of leaks.
  • Do not leave a pod fitted in a bag with the device being squashed under other items.
  • Keep everything away from children and pets, and keep nicotine products out of reach.

Recycling used pods. A spent pod is electronic waste with residual nicotine, so it should not go in general rubbish. In the UK you can return used vape products to many retailers that sell them, and to household waste recycling centres, which have dedicated bins for small electricals and vapes. Do not try to take the pod apart. Drop it off whole, ideally in a bag, and keep it away from other batteries.

The device itself contains a lithium battery and follows the same rule. When the device eventually stops holding a charge, recycle it as electrical waste through the same routes. Putting these items in a recycling bin at home is both a fire risk and a breach of local waste rules.

One further note on rules. The UK banned the sale of single-use disposable vapes from 1 June 2025, which has moved the market towards rechargeable pod systems like this one. A rechargeable device with replaceable pods is a different category from a single-use disposable, and you can see how the formats compare in our disposable vapes collection.

Troubleshooting the problems people actually meet

Most pod issues have simple causes. Work through the likely one before you assume the pod is faulty.

  • No vapour or no response. First check the battery, because a flat device behaves exactly like a dead pod. Charge it and try again. Then remove the pod, check it for any leftover plug or film, and refit it with a firm, straight push. Poor contact is behind most dead-pod reports.
  • Weak or thin flavour. Check whether the pod is near the end of its life, which shows as a gradual thinning. If it is early in the pod's life, rule out palate fatigue by trying a different flavour for a day or two. A low battery can also flatten the draw.
  • Burnt or scorched taste. This usually comes from drawing before the wick has saturated, or from chain drawing. Rest the device for a few minutes, take shorter and gentler puffs, and leave gaps between them. If the burnt taste returns every time, the pod is spent or damaged, and it should be replaced.
  • Gurgling or spitting. Excess condensation in the airflow path can cause this. Hold the device upright, take a gentle puff to clear it, and wipe the mouthpiece. Avoid blowing back through the pod.
  • Leaking. Heat and pressure are the usual causes. Keep pods cool and upright, and do not leave them in a hot car. A pod that leaks repeatedly should be replaced and not repaired.
  • Throat hit too harsh. A stronger nicotine salt than you need is the main reason. Consider moving to 10mg, and take slower draws.
  • Dizziness or nausea. Stop using the device at once, get fresh air and sit down. This is often a sign the strength is too high or you have drawn too quickly.

If you have worked through the list and a pod still will not work, contact us with your order details and a short description. Faulty or wrongly supplied items are our responsibility to put right.

It is also worth knowing what is not a fault. Vapour output varies a little between pods, the first puff after a long rest can taste slightly different, and flavour intensity softens towards the end of the pod's life. All of those are normal behaviours for a closed pod system and not reasons to return anything.

Opened consumables are not returnable, which is standard in the category, so check the product title and compatibility before opening the pack.

Value for money, and how this pod compares fairly

At £6.49 for an 8,000 puff rating, the arithmetic is straightforward. That comes to about 81p for every 1,000 puffs. It is the sort of number that makes a closed pod system economical if you vape regularly, and it is worth setting against the alternatives rather than judging it alone.

Against the smaller Tick Tock pod. The Tick Tock Mini 2000 Berry Blaze pod costs £4.49 for a 2,000 puff rating, which is around £2.25 per 1,000 puffs. Per puff, the Magic 8000 pod costs roughly a third as much. The Mini is cheaper to buy on the day and it belongs to a smaller device, so the right choice depends on which device you own rather than on price alone.

Against pods in the 3 for £10 range. The 3 for £10 prefilled pods collection offers lower upfront prices on pods with lower puff ratings than 8,000. If you vape lightly and want to pay less per pod, that range is worth a look. If you vape daily, the higher rated pod usually works out cheaper per puff and needs changing less often.

Against single-use disposables. Those are no longer legally sold in the UK, and the point is moot. A rechargeable device with replaceable pods reuses the battery and body, so less hardware is thrown away with each pod.

Against refillable pod systems. A refillable kit with bottles of e-liquid is usually cheaper to run for a heavy user, and it gives you control of strength and flavour. The trade-off is more handling, more mess, and a coil to replace now and then. A closed pod is the simpler route, and you pay a small premium for that simplicity.

Against other big-puff closed pod systems. There is plenty of choice in the category, and rated puffs are the sensible yardstick. You can browse similar products in the full Tick Tock collection or across the vape pods range. Beware of judging on puff ratings alone, because ratings are claims rather than measurements.

The honest summary is that this pod is good value for an adult who already has the device and vapes regularly, and poor value for someone without the device or for a very occasional user who would rarely finish an 8,000 puff pod before wanting a change of flavour.

Delivery is free to UK addresses on orders above £20, and weekday orders confirmed before 4pm are dispatched the same day. Everything we sell is genuine stock from authorised supply routes.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Zero-mess flavour change — snap in, done
  • Consistent draw from a factory-primed coil
  • Long shelf-life, easy to travel with

Cons

  • Costs more per ml than freestanding e-liquid
  • Pods are proprietary to a specific device
  • Only sold at 20 mg or 10 mg — no lower strengths

Customer Buying Tips

  • Check device compatibility: a pod must match your exact device family (e.g. "Elfa Pro" pods only fit Elfa Pro devices).
  • Store sealed pods upright, below 30 °C — heat and sunlight drain flavour.
  • Rotate flavours: using the same pod flavour back-to-back dulls your palate within a week.
  • Prime the pod for 60 seconds after fitting to avoid a dry hit.

Frequently asked questions

Are these pods a complete vape, or do I need a device?

They are replacement pods only. Tick Tock Magic 8000 Prefilled Refill Pods Berry Blaze has no battery and needs a compatible Tick Tock Magic 8000 device to work. If you do not own the device, buy the complete Magic 8000 kit instead, which includes the hardware and a first pod.

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg?

Pick the lower strength that satisfies you. 10mg suits lighter smokers, occasional users and people who find stronger salts harsh. 20mg is the UK maximum and suits adults who smoke daily at a moderate or heavy level. The price is the same, so choose on how it feels. If you are unsure or have any health concern, speak to a pharmacist or GP.

How long does an 8,000 puff pod last?

The 8,000 figure is a manufacturer rating, and real life varies with how you draw. At around 150 puffs a day it could last about 53 days, at around 300 puffs a day about 27 days, and at around 500 puffs a day about 16 days. Longer, harder draws and chain drawing shorten it.

How do I charge it, and how long does it take?

The pod itself is never charged, because it holds no battery. The Magic 8000 device is charged with its own cable and a standard phone-style charger. We do not publish a charge time or battery size in this listing, so check the device packaging. Charge on a hard surface and do not leave it charging unattended overnight.

Can I swap to another flavour, and what else is available?

Yes. Because the pods are separate from the device, you can fit any compatible Magic 8000 pod whenever you like. Nearby fruit options include Berry Blue Fusion, Blueberry Raspberry and Strawberry Raspberry Ice, and the full range is on the Tick Tock collection page. Let the old pod finish or remove it before switching.

Is this good value compared with other pods?

At £6.49 for an 8,000 puff rating it works out at about 81p per 1,000 puffs, which is roughly a third of the per-puff cost of the Tick Tock Mini 2000 pod. It is better value for regular vapers who already own the device, and weaker value for very occasional users or anyone without the device.

Who should and should not buy this?

It suits adult smokers and existing vapers who own a Magic 8000 and like fruit flavours. It does not suit anyone under 18, anyone who has never used nicotine, people without the device, or those who want to refill and mix their own liquid. Nicotine is addictive and these pods are for adult nicotine users only.

Do you deliver across the UK, and how fast?

Yes. We deliver to UK addresses. Delivery is free on orders above £20. Weekday orders confirmed before 4pm are dispatched the same day, and later orders leave on the next working day. You choose the delivery service at checkout, and age is verified on every order.

What if my pod arrives faulty or wrong, and is there a warranty?

Contact us with your order details and a short description. Faulty or wrongly supplied items are our responsibility to put right. Opened consumables are not returnable as standard for the category, so check the title and compatibility before opening the pack. We do not quote a separate warranty period for pods.

How do I recycle a used pod or device in the UK?

Do not put them in household bins or recycling. Take used pods and vape devices to a retailer that accepts vape waste, or to a household waste recycling centre with a small electricals or vape bin. Drop them off whole and do not dismantle them, because of the lithium battery and nicotine residue.
