Uwell Viscore 8000 Mr Blue Pod Kit Overview

The Uwell Viscore 8000 Puffs Pod Kit Mr Blue 40K Puffs is a ready-to-use prefilled pod kit from a manufacturer that most UK adult vapers know through its Caliburn range. It costs £9.49, comes in 10mg and 20mg nicotine salt strengths, and carries a manufacturer rating of 8,000 puffs. Mr Blue is the flavour, and there is nothing to assemble: the liquid is sealed into the pod and the whole thing is built for a straight draw.

That format is what the trade calls a closed or prefilled pod system. You do not open a bottle, you do not prime a coil and you do not fiddle with wattage. You take the kit out of its packaging, peel off whatever protective film is fitted, and use it until the battery or the pod gives out. For an adult who has tried tanks and refillable pods and found the upkeep tiresome, that simplicity is the entire appeal, and it is why kits like this sell steadily to people who just want something that works when they pick it up.

It helps to know where this listing sits in the shop. Our full Uwell vape collection spans refillable Caliburn kits, replacement pods, coils and the Viscore family of prefilled devices. Within the wider pod kits category, the Viscore 8000 is one of the lower-priced entries, and the same £9.49 price applies across the whole Viscore 8000 flavour list. Choosing Mr Blue is therefore a question of taste rather than budget, and that makes the decision easier than it is with many ranges where flavours carry different price tags.

This page goes through the details a careful buyer wants before paying. It explains what the numbers in the title really mean, how the device works, what to expect from the flavour, which strength to choose, how to look after the kit and what to do if it misbehaves. It also points out the limits of what we can tell you. Where the product data does not give a figure, such as battery capacity or charging time, we say so rather than guess.

One boundary applies to everything on this site. These products are for adults aged 18 or over only, and nicotine is addictive. If you do not already use nicotine, this is not a product to begin with.

Specs, Puff Rating and the 40K Tag

Two figures sit in the product title, and they do not agree with each other. The rating we hold on file for this kit is 8,000 puffs. The "40K" wording comes from how the supplier names part of its range, and it should not be read as a promise of forty thousand puffs from this device. When you compare it with other kits, use the 8,000 figure and treat the rest as labelling.

Here is what we can state with confidence from the product data:

  • Brand: Uwell
  • Format: prefilled closed pod kit, filed under big-puff vape kits
  • Flavour: Mr Blue
  • Nicotine type and strengths: nicotine salt, 10mg or 20mg
  • Manufacturer rating: 8,000 puffs
  • Price: £9.49 per kit

Some numbers you might expect are missing on purpose. We do not publish a battery capacity, e-liquid volume, coil resistance or charging time for this kit because the data we hold does not include verified values, and an invented figure would only mislead you. The leaflet and the markings on the pack are the right place to check those details once the kit is in your hand.

The price arithmetic is simpler. Spread over its stated rating, £9.49 comes to roughly 0.12p a puff, or about £1.19 per thousand puffs. As a rough illustration only, a person taking around 200 puffs a day would be looking at about forty days on paper. Real use rarely matches the lab. Short, light draws stretch a kit further, and long, hard pulls drain it sooner, so think of the rating as a way to compare devices rather than a guarantee.

If you want a higher headline number to compare against, the big-puff vape kits and the 10,000 puff vapes range show what else is on offer, and it is worth looking at price per thousand puffs rather than the puff count alone.

How This Closed Pod Kit Works

Inside the casing, three parts do the work: a rechargeable battery, a sealed pod holding the e-liquid, and a small coil with a cotton wick inside that pod. When you draw on the mouthpiece, the battery sends power to the coil, the coil warms the liquid soaked into the wick, and that liquid turns to vapour you breathe in. Compact Uwell pod systems are usually airflow activated, so there is often no button to hold, but the leaflet in the box is the final word on how this particular kit behaves.

The word prefilled matters here. The pod leaves the factory already loaded with nicotine salt liquid, and it is closed off so you cannot top it up through a fill port in the way you can with a refillable pod. That design removes the most common sources of mess, because there is no bottle spout to miss, no overfilling and no drips down the side of the device. It also means you should not try to prise the pod open or refill it yourself. Doing so can damage the seal, affect performance and cause leaks, and it is not what the kit is designed for.

Nicotine salt is the other half of the story. Salt-based liquids are known for a smoother feel at higher strengths than traditional freebase nicotine, which is why 20mg in a salt can seem gentler than you would expect. It also tends to suit the small, low-power hardware found in closed pod kits, because the nicotine reaches you without the device needing to run hot.

If you are new to the format, you can browse the wider closed pod vape kits category to see how different brands approach the same idea. When the pod eventually runs out, the prefilled vape pods collection is where replacement pods are listed. Check the pack and the leaflet for compatibility before ordering, because pods from one product line are not always interchangeable with another.

One practical consequence of the closed design is that there is nothing to maintain. No coil swaps, no wicking, no cleaning of tanks. When it stops performing, you replace the pod or the kit rather than repair it.

What Mr Blue Tastes Like

Blue is a colour, not a fruit, so a flavour called Mr Blue needs a little decoding. In the vape trade the word almost always points at a mixed blue fruit blend, something built around blueberry with other dark or tangy berries added for depth. A related listing in our range, the Mr Blue Viscore Pro Plus prefilled pods, is tagged with blueberry, blackcurrant and raspberry, and that is a reasonable guide to the territory you are entering.

Taken at face value, that combination works in layers. Blueberry sits at the front as the sweet, rounded, slightly jammy note. Blackcurrant adds a darker, deeper tone underneath, with a touch of tartness that stops the sweetness feeling flat. Raspberry brings a brighter lift that tends to show up towards the end of the draw. Together they usually read as a confectionery-style berry mix, closer to a fruit sweet or a squash than to a bowl of fresh fruit.

A few honest caveats follow. Flavour names differ from one product line to the next, and we cannot taste-test every batch on your behalf, so the exact recipe in this pod may lean sweeter or sharper than the description above. Nothing in our listing says that Mr Blue has a menthol or ice finish, so do not buy it expecting a cold exhale. If a cooling kick is important to you, look at one of the ice flavours in the same Viscore 8000 range instead.

Because the liquid is a nicotine salt, the flavour tends to come across smooth rather than harsh, particularly at 10mg. At 20mg the nicotine is more noticeable at the back of the throat, and some people find that it slightly mutes the fruit. Draw gently at first and let your palate settle for a few minutes. Berry flavours often take a few draws before the layers separate.

If you like Mr Blue, there are neighbours worth trying from the same family, including Blueberry Sour Raspberry, Blueberry Cherry Cranberry and Blue Razz Lemonade, each at the same £9.49.

Who This Kit Suits and Who Should Pass

Start with who should not buy it. Anyone under 18 cannot be sold nicotine products, and anyone who has never smoked or used nicotine has no reason to begin with a device like this. We carry out age checks on our site, and you can read how that works on our age verification page. If you are not sure that a nicotine product is right for you, speak to a pharmacist or your GP rather than relying on a retailer's product page.

For adults who already use nicotine, the Viscore 8000 in Mr Blue suits a fairly clear set of people:

  • Adult smokers looking for a simple alternative. There is no setup, no jargon and nothing to learn beyond how to take a draw.
  • People tired of refilling. If leaking tanks, spare coils and half-empty bottles have put you off vaping gear, a sealed pod is a relief.
  • Fans of fruit flavours. Berry blends suit anyone who finds tobacco and menthol profiles dull.
  • Buyers watching their budget. At £9.49, trying a new flavour does not cost much.
  • Anyone wanting a spare. A cheap, pocketable backup is handy for travel days or for when your main device runs out of charge.

It is less suited to some buyers. If you enjoy adjusting airflow, changing coils and mixing your own liquids, a closed kit will feel restrictive, and you would be better served by a refillable system. Heavy daily users who want a longer-lasting device may prefer a larger format, since this one is rated at 8,000 puffs rather than the higher figures seen elsewhere. And if you want a zero nicotine option, note that this kit is listed in 10mg and 20mg only.

The short version is that this is a convenience product for adults who already use nicotine, not a starter project and not a toy. Buy it because you want the least effort between wanting a vape and having one in your hand.

Choosing Between 10mg and 20mg Nic Salt

Strength is the choice buyers most often get wrong, partly because the numbers look so close together. In reality 20mg is double the nicotine of 10mg, since the figures describe milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid. Put another way, 10mg is a 1 per cent liquid and 20mg is a 2 per cent liquid, and 20mg is also the highest strength that can legally be sold in the UK.

Nicotine salt changes how those strengths feel. Salts are smoother on the throat than the older freebase style, so a salt at 20mg can feel gentler than a freebase at the same number, yet it still delivers nicotine quickly. That is helpful for adults who smoke heavily and want something that keeps pace, but it also makes it easy to take in more than you intended if you chain your draws.

Here is a practical way to choose:

  • Choose 10mg if you are a lighter smoker, if you tend to vape little and often through the day, or if you are sensitive to throat hit and find stronger liquids uncomfortable.
  • Choose 20mg if you are used to a pack a day or close to it, if you want a single session to feel satisfying without constant top-ups, or if earlier lower-strength kits left you reaching for them too often.

If you land on the wrong one, the signs are fairly obvious. A strength that is too high tends to cause dizziness, a harsh throat or a heavy, unsettled feeling, in which case you should stop and move down. A strength that is too low leaves you taking many more draws than you meant to and never quite feeling settled. Neither mistake is expensive at this price, so it is reasonable to start lower and adjust.

If you already know which strength works for you, you can browse the wider nicotine salt e-liquids range to compare how the same strength is offered in bottle form. Keep in mind that nicotine is addictive, that no strength is risk free, and that this guide describes preference rather than medical advice.

Unboxing and Taking Your First Draws

A careful minute at the start saves most first-day problems. Setting up a prefilled kit is quick, but the common complaints about weak flavour or a dead device usually come from a step that was skipped. The sequence below is a sensible order, with one rule above all: if the leaflet in your box says something different, follow the leaflet.

  • Check the pack. Make sure the kit is intact and the pod is not cracked or wet. If anything looks damaged on arrival, do not use it and get in touch with us first.
  • Remove protective items. Many kits ship with a film, plug, tab or sticker over the mouthpiece or air inlet. Take off everything designed to come off.
  • Seat the pod fully. If the pod is separate from the body, push it in until it sits flush. A pod that is only half in place is the most frequent cause of a kit that does nothing.
  • Charge if the light or leaflet suggests it. Some batteries arrive with a little power, but a short top-up costs nothing and avoids a flat device on day one.
  • Wait a few minutes. A new pod needs time for the liquid to soak into the wick. Rushing at this point can cause dry-tasting draws.
  • Start with gentle draws. Take slow, steady pulls of two to three seconds, rest between them and see how the nicotine feels before going further.

Most people use a pod kit as a mouth-to-lung device, which means drawing the vapour into the mouth first, pausing briefly and then inhaling. This style suits low-power hardware and nicotine salts. Whatever method you use, pace yourself. Taking a draw every few seconds heats the coil faster than the wick can refill, and that is how you end up with a burnt taste on day one.

Finally, keep the packaging leaflet. It carries any model-specific notes about indicators, power states and safety that this page cannot cover on the manufacturer's behalf.

Charging, Battery Care and Storage

Rechargeable kits reward dull habits. A few sensible routines extend the life of the battery and reduce risk, and none of them takes much effort. We do not quote a battery capacity or charging time for this kit because the product data does not supply one, so the advice here applies to rechargeable pod devices generally. Check your leaflet for anything specific to the Viscore.

When charging, use the cable supplied or a sound-quality cable from a reputable maker, connected to a standard adapter or a computer port rather than a cheap unbranded block. Charge on a hard surface where you can see the device, not under a pillow or on a sofa, and unplug it when it is full instead of leaving it for hours. Overnight charging is best avoided. If the kit becomes unusually hot, smells odd, swells or leaks, stop using it and keep it away from anything flammable.

Storage is just as simple:

  • Keep the kit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, radiators and the dashboard of a parked car.
  • Store it upright where possible so the liquid stays settled around the wick rather than pooling near the mouthpiece.
  • Do not carry it loose with keys, coins or other metal objects that could bridge the charging contacts.
  • Keep it, and every spare pod, out of the reach of children and pets. Nicotine liquid is hazardous if swallowed or if it touches skin.

For travel, carry the kit in a bag or case rather than a pocket where pressure or friction could set it off. Temperature swings can force liquid out of any pod, so give it a minute to settle after a flight or a cold journey before you take the first draw.

When the kit has come to the end of its life, do not put it in the household bin. It contains a lithium battery and electronic components, so it belongs at a recycling point for small electricals or in a retailer take-back scheme. Taking a spent device to the right place keeps batteries out of landfill and out of the refuse lorry, where they are a known fire hazard.

Troubleshooting Weak Flavour and Faults

Most complaints about prefilled kits trace back to a short list of causes, and a calm five minutes of checking will fix the majority. Work through the items below in order before deciding the device is faulty.

  • Nothing happens when you draw. Confirm the pod is pushed fully home, that every protective plug or film has been removed and that the battery has some charge. Leave it on the charger for a few minutes and try again.
  • Weak or muted flavour. A fresh coil can taste flat for the first draws, and palates tire quickly of the same fruit. Rest for a minute, sip some water and try again. If it is still dull after a couple of hours, the pod may simply be nearing the end of its life.
  • Burnt or harsh taste. This usually means the coil is running dry, either because you are drawing too frequently or because the pod is almost empty. Slow down, give the wick a chance to refill, and replace the pod if the taste persists.
  • Gurgling or liquid in the mouthpiece. Condensation can collect inside. Wipe the mouthpiece, hold the kit upright and take a gentle draw without inhaling to clear it.
  • Leaking from the pod. Check the pod is seated properly and that it has not been squeezed. A leaking pod should be replaced, and the device wiped dry before charging.
  • Battery drains quickly. Heavy chain use is the usual explanation. If a fully charged kit dies within a few draws, treat it as a possible fault.

Strange behaviour from indicator lights deserves a quick look at the leaflet, because lighting patterns differ between models and we would rather point you to the manufacturer's guidance than guess at what a flash means.

If you have run through these checks and the kit still will not work, send us a message through the contact page with your order number and a clear photo of the device. Faulty items are replaced free of charge, and the sooner you tell us, the quicker we can sort it out.

Honest Pros and Cons of This Kit

Every format trades convenience for control, and this one is no exception. A balanced list is more useful than a sales pitch, so here is the plain version, starting with what works in its favour.

  • Low entry price. At £9.49, a branded device with a stated 8,000 puff rating is affordable to try, and it costs little to swap to another flavour if you do not get on with this one.
  • Nothing to maintain. No bottles, no coils and no tank cleaning. You use it until it is finished.
  • Two strengths. The 10mg and 20mg options cover a reasonable spread of adult preferences.
  • Familiar maker. Uwell has a long history in pod systems, which gives some reassurance about build and consistency.
  • Straightforward flavour. Berry blends are easy to like, and a nic salt keeps the delivery smooth.

Now the other side of the ledger:

  • No refilling. When the pod is empty, that is that. You cannot top it up with a liquid of your choice.
  • Limited control. There is no adjustable airflow or power, so you take the device as it comes.
  • Puff ratings are estimates. Your own number could land above or below 8,000, depending on how you draw.
  • A battery with a finite life. Like any rechargeable device, it will eventually stop holding charge, and a closed kit is not designed for repair.
  • Missing specifications. We do not have verified figures for battery, volume or coil, so anyone who needs those numbers should read the pack.
  • Not a first step for non-users. It contains nicotine, which is addictive.

Weighing it up, the Viscore 8000 in Mr Blue is a sensible, no-nonsense pick for adults who value convenience above customisation. If you value flexibility, it is the wrong tool, and you will be happier with a refillable alternative.

Alternatives, Upgrades and Pairings

If the Viscore 8000 is not quite right, there are several neighbouring routes in the shop, and it is worth knowing them before you buy so that you pick the format that matches how you actually vape.

Closest in spirit are single-use bars. Our disposable vapes collection covers sealed devices that you use and throw away, with no pod to change. They are even simpler than a pod kit, but you replace the whole device each time, which tends to cost more over a month and creates more waste. The Viscore is a prefilled pod kit with a rechargeable battery, so it offers a similar no-fuss experience while sitting in a different category of the shop.

If what you really want is control, look at refillable systems instead. The refillable vape pods section and the Caliburn kits in the wider Uwell range let you fill the pod with a liquid you choose, adjust to your taste and usually pay less per millilitre once the hardware is bought. They need a little more attention, but they reward it.

Within the Viscore family itself, the choices are straightforward:

  • Other Viscore 8000 flavours. Same price, same rating, different taste, so a few can be tried without any penalty.
  • Viscore Pro Plus kits. A sibling line listed at £8.95 in named editions. Treat it as a different product rather than a variant.
  • Mr Blue Viscore Pro Plus prefilled pods. Listed at £4.95 in 20mg with a 3 for £12 offer. It is a separate listing, and you should confirm it fits the device you own before buying, because we do not want you assuming compatibility across lines.

As for accessories, a basic pairing is a decent charging cable and a hard case, which protects the kit from keys and knocks. Beyond that, a prefilled kit needs very little. If you find you want more flexibility after a few weeks, that is a useful signal to try a refillable device, and nothing about buying this one prevents you from doing so.

Delivery, Returns and Buying with Confidence

Practical details decide whether a purchase feels easy or fiddly, so here is how ordering works. Weekday orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day, and orders over £20 qualify for free UK delivery. A single Mr Blue kit costs £9.49, so it falls under that threshold on its own. Two kits come to £18.98, which is still just short, while three kits at £28.47 clear it comfortably. If you would rather not pay for delivery, adding a second flavour or another item is the easiest route. Below the threshold a small delivery charge applies, and the current rates and options are set out on our delivery and returns page.

Everything we sell is 100% genuine stock from authorised sources, and parcels leave in plain, discreet packaging. Because the products contain nicotine, you will be asked to confirm that you are an adult as part of our age verification process.

On returns, the rules are shaped by health and safety. Unopened, unsealed product can be returned within 14 days. Opened consumables cannot be returned, which includes a pod kit once the seal has been broken, so open it only when you are sure you want it. If the item turns out to be faulty, tell us promptly. Faulty items are replaced free of charge, and a clear photo plus your order number speeds the process up.

A few tips for a smooth order:

  • Double-check the strength before you pay. 10mg and 20mg are different products from a nicotine point of view, and swapping after opening is not possible.
  • Plan for an adult to be available to receive the parcel, since this is an age-restricted product.
  • Keep the leaflet and packaging until you are happy with the kit.

If something is unclear, the FAQs and the contact page are there to help, and we would rather answer a question before you buy than after.

Frequently asked questions

How many puffs does the Uwell Viscore 8000 Mr Blue give?

The manufacturer rating for this kit is 8,000 puffs. That figure comes from a machine test using fixed draw lengths, so it is a comparison guide rather than a promise. Real life will land above or below it depending on how long and how often you draw, which strength you choose and how the battery holds up. Light, short draws tend to stretch a kit further, while long, frequent pulls use it up sooner. If you want a rough sense of daily use, divide 8,000 by the number of puffs you typically take in a day.

Why does the title say 40K puffs when the rating is 8,000?

The 40K wording is part of how the supplier names this part of the range. It is not a statement that this particular kit will deliver forty thousand puffs. The rating that applies to the kit on this page is 8,000 puffs, and that is the number to use when you compare it with other devices. The price, the strengths and the flavour listed on the page all belong to the same single kit, so you are not buying anything bigger than the rating suggests.

What does Mr Blue taste like?

Mr Blue is a mixed blue fruit flavour. A related Mr Blue pod in our range is tagged with blueberry, blackcurrant and raspberry, so expect a sweet berry blend with a slightly tart, deeper note underneath. Nothing in our listing says it has a cooling or menthol finish. Recipes can vary between product lines, so the exact balance may be a little sweeter or sharper than described, but the general direction is berry confectionery rather than fresh fruit or tobacco.

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg?

Pick 10mg if you are a lighter smoker, vape little and often, or find stronger liquids harsh on the throat. Pick 20mg if you are used to heavier smoking and want a more substantial hit per session. 20mg is the maximum legal strength in the UK and is twice as strong as 10mg, so starting lower is sensible if you are unsure. Nicotine is addictive, and this is a preference guide rather than medical advice.

Can I refill the pod or swap in a different one?

This is a prefilled kit, so the pod arrives loaded with nicotine salt e-liquid and is not designed to be topped up. Prising it open or refilling it yourself can damage the seal and cause leaks, so we do not recommend it. Replacement pods are sold separately, but pods from one product line do not always fit another, so check the pack and leaflet or ask us before ordering a spare.

How long does the Viscore 8000 take to charge?

We do not publish a charging time or battery capacity for this kit because the product data we hold does not include verified figures. The leaflet and the markings on the packaging are the right source. As a general rule for any rechargeable vape, use the supplied cable or a quality one, charge on a hard surface where you can see it, unplug it once it is full and avoid leaving it charging overnight.

Is the Viscore 8000 good value at £9.49?

On paper, £9.49 for a rated 8,000 puffs works out at roughly 0.12p a puff, or about £1.19 per thousand, which is competitive for a branded prefilled kit. Value in practice depends on how you vape, because the rating is an estimate. The kit is also cheap enough to try another flavour without much outlay, and there is no refill cost to factor in, although you will need to buy a new pod or kit when it runs out.

Do I need to be 18 to buy this?

Yes. Nicotine products can only be sold to adults aged 18 or over, and we apply age checks as part of the ordering process. If you are under 18 you cannot buy this kit, and a parcel containing it should not be handed to a minor. If you are not already a nicotine user, this product is not designed for you. Our age verification page explains how the checks work.

How quickly will my order arrive, and when is delivery free?

Orders placed before 4pm on a weekday are dispatched the same day. Delivery is free across the UK on orders over £20, and a single kit at £9.49 is below that line, while three kits at £28.47 are above it. A small delivery charge applies to smaller orders, and the up to date rates and options are listed on our delivery and returns page. Parcels go out in plain, discreet packaging.

What if my kit arrives faulty or stops working?

First check the basics: that the pod is fully seated, every protective film is removed and the battery has charge. If it still does nothing, contact us with your order number and a clear photo of the device. Faulty items are replaced free of charge. Please note that unopened and unsealed products can be returned within 14 days, but opened consumables cannot be returned for health and safety reasons.
