Uwell Viscore 8000 Pineapple Ice Pod Kit Overview

The Uwell Viscore 8000 Puffs Pod Kit in Pineapple Ice is a compact, rechargeable pod device that arrives with a prefilled nicotine salt pod already attached. You choose 10mg or 20mg, the flavour is a cooled tropical pineapple, and the kit is listed here at £9.49 at the time of writing. Nothing needs filling, assembling or adjusting. You take it out of the box, peel off the packaging and draw on the mouthpiece. For an adult smoker who wants the shortest possible route from checkout to first puff, that simplicity is the whole proposition.

Uwell is a name many UK vapers already know from its refillable hardware, chiefly the Caliburn pod systems and the Valyrian tanks. The Viscore line is the company's answer for people who would rather not handle bottles at all. Liquid, wick and coil are sealed into one pod, so there is nothing to spill and nothing to clean. If you like what the maker does, the rest of its catalogue sits together on our Uwell brand page, where you can set this kit beside its other devices.

It helps to be plain about the category. This is not a single-use vape. Selling single-use vapes became illegal in the UK on 1 June 2025, and the Viscore is a reusable device with a rechargeable battery. Plenty of shoppers who type 'disposable' into a search box are really after something like this: small, draw-activated, flavour-led and free of controls. Because it behaves so similarly in the hand, we file it with our pod kits and not anywhere more exotic.

The facts that matter before you buy are short. The format is a prefilled pod kit. The nicotine options are 10mg and 20mg salt. The flavour is Pineapple Ice. The price is £9.49 per kit. The rating is 8,000 puffs, although the listing title also carries a 40K tag, which we explain further down. Everything else, including battery size, coil type and pod capacity, is something we have not been given verified figures for, so we leave those numbers out instead of guessing. You will find the reasoning behind each choice in the sections below, along with honest notes on who should and should not buy it.

Reading the 8,000 Puff Rating and the 40K Tag

How many draws will one kit really give you? Probably fewer than the headline suggests, and the reason is worth understanding before you hand over any money.

A puff rating is a manufacturer's estimate. It comes from a test routine that assumes a set draw length, a set pause between draws and a set power output. Change any one of those and the total moves. Real people do not vape like test machines, so the number tells you more about how the maker's method scored the device than about how long your pod will last. Short, gentle draws stretch a pod. Long, hard ones shorten it.

Now set a UK rule alongside the figure. A prefilled pod sold in this country can hold no more than 2ml of liquid. Divide 2ml by 8,000 and each puff would use a quarter of a microlitre, which is a vanishingly small amount. We have not been given a verified pod capacity or the test method for this listing, so we are not going to pretend to know either. The sensible reading is that 8,000 is a ceiling reached under favourable conditions rather than a promise about any single pod.

Then there is the tag in the product name. The listing title carries 40K Puffs, which does not match the 8,000 rating used elsewhere. Forty thousand is exactly five times eight thousand, yet the £9.49 price covers one kit, and we have based this page on the 8,000 figure. If you want to be certain what an order contains before paying, get in touch with us first and we will check it for you.

A more helpful yardstick is days of use. As an illustration only, assuming 150 puffs a day:

  • All 8,000 puffs delivered: about 53 days, roughly 18p a day
  • Half of them, 4,000 puffs: about 27 days, roughly 36p a day
  • A quarter, 2,000 puffs: about 13 days, roughly 71p a day

These figures are arithmetic, not measurements. For a like-for-like comparison, browse the wider range of big-puff vape kits, where rated devices sit together. A bigger number only represents better value if you will actually use the pod before the flavour wears thin.

What Pineapple Ice Actually Tastes Like

Pineapple is one of the more recognisable fruits in vaping, because its character is hard to blur. It is sweet, but it is also tart, with the faint sting at the back of the tongue that a fresh slice gives you. A vape liquid cannot reproduce the fruit exactly, so what you get is an interpretation. Pineapple Ice tends towards the sweet, juicy end of that spectrum, closer to tinned pineapple chunks or a pineapple boiled sweet than to a wedge cut from a whole fruit, with a cooling layer added on top.

Take one draw in stages. On the inhale, expect a bright, sugary tropical note that lands on the front of the tongue. Through the middle of the draw there is usually a little tang, the sharper edge that keeps pineapple from tasting like plain syrup. Then comes the exhale, where the cooling agent arrives and sits on the breath for a moment. That chill softens the sweetness and makes the next draw feel fresh again. How strong the 'ice' is varies from brand to brand and even batch to batch, so treat this as a guide and not a laboratory report. Taste is personal, and we have not been handed an official flavour description to quote.

The pairing of acidity and cooling is the thing to think about. Both add to throat hit, and together they can feel sharper than either would alone. Someone who loves pineapple juice or tropical cocktails will probably enjoy that brightness. Someone who finds citrus-style flavours harsh may prefer a gentler profile, and the wider Viscore family has several: Banana Ice, Cherry Ice, Blue Razz Lemonade, Fresh Mint and a Fruit Mix are all listed alongside this one, though stock can change.

A few practical notes help the flavour stay at its best:

  • The taste is usually fullest across the first two thirds of a pod and fades slowly towards the end.
  • Sweet liquids leave residue on the coil, so the final stretch may taste flatter than the start.
  • Cold air mutes flavour and thickens liquid, so keep the kit in an inside pocket in winter.
  • A sip of water between sessions stops the sweetness feeling cloying.

How a Prefilled Pod Kit Works

Inside a kit like this sit three working parts: a battery, a sealed pod and a pressure sensor. The battery lives in the body of the device. The pod carries the liquid, a wick to hold it and a coil to heat it. The sensor feels the drop in pressure when you inhale. At that moment the battery sends power to the coil, the wick warms, and the nicotine salt liquid becomes vapour. When you stop inhaling, the power stops with you.

Draw activation is the norm for this format, which is why such kits seldom have a fire button. If yours does, follow the leaflet in the box. You also get no wattage control and no adjustable airflow, because those settings are chosen at the factory. That is a relief if you want a device you never think about, and a frustration if you enjoy fine tuning.

Nobody has handed us a verified coil specification for this listing, so we will not quote a resistance or name a material. We can still explain the two common designs. A round wire coil is a length of wire wound into a spiral: cheap, quick to heat and prone to hot spots. A mesh coil presses a thin sheet against the wick across a larger area, which usually means more even heating and steadier flavour. Either way, what you want is a wick that keeps pace with how fast you draw.

Retailers call this a closed system, and you will find the term on our closed pod vape kits page. Closed simply means you never open it. The pod is a consumable whose coil and liquid wear out at roughly the same time. Once it is spent you swap in a compatible pod, if one is listed, or recycle the whole unit. Do not assume that pods from other Viscore products or other brands will fit. Check the listing before you order.

A burnt taste has a simple explanation: the coil is heating a wick that the liquid has not caught up with. Back-to-back draws, a nearly empty pod or a hard pull on a dry wick will all do it, so pause for ten or fifteen seconds between draws and the problem rarely appears.

Setting Up and Taking Your First Draws

Open the box slowly. Check that the pack is sealed, that the pod shows no cracks or oily residue, and that the nicotine warning and ingredients are printed on the packaging as UK rules require. A damaged or leaking kit should not be used, so contact us instead of persevering.

Then follow this order:

  • Strip every film and cap. A sliver of plastic over the mouthpiece or an airflow slot is the number one reason a brand-new kit seems dead.
  • Seat the pod if it comes separate. It should click home. If it rocks or resists, stop and check that it is the right way round.
  • Top up the battery if it feels weak. Devices can leave the warehouse only part charged.
  • Give the wick a few minutes. A freshly fitted pod needs time to soak through, and rushing it is how coils get scorched.
  • Start with soft draws. Take two or three gentle ones, then settle into your usual rhythm.

Technique counts for more than most people expect. Kits like this are designed for mouth-to-lung vaping: draw the vapour into your mouth over about two or three seconds, pause briefly, then inhale it as you would a slow breath. Long, forceful pulls do not improve flavour. They drag liquid through the coil faster than the wick can supply it, and they shorten the life of the pod. A steady, light pull gives better taste for longer.

Some small habits are worth forming early. Keep the device upright when you are not using it. Never cover the airflow slots with a finger. Never blow back through the mouthpiece, which can push liquid towards the electronics. Carry the kit in its own pocket, away from keys and coins, so that nothing presses the sensor and fires it by accident. If the leaflet in your box ever disagrees with this page, the leaflet wins, because it describes the exact unit you are holding.

Battery, Charging and Safe Storage

You will not see a milliamp hour figure for this kit here, and that is deliberate. We have not been given a number we can verify, and a guessed figure is how spec sheets end up wrong. For background only, rechargeable pod kits in this size class generally carry small batteries that last a few days of ordinary use between charges. That is category context, not a Viscore specification. The real number will be on the box or in Uwell's own documentation.

Charging happens through a port on the body. Look at which type yours has before you reach for a cable. A standard 5V USB adapter, such as the plug that came with a phone, or a computer USB socket is all it needs. Charging a battery this small typically takes somewhere between under an hour and a couple of hours, and an indicator light normally shows when it has finished.

Habits that look after the cell:

  • Plug in when the vapour thins or the light flashes, and unplug once the device is full.
  • Do not vape while it is connected to the charger.
  • Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface, never on a bed, sofa or pillow, and never unattended overnight.
  • If the body swells, becomes unusually hot or the casing cracks, stop using it and get in touch.

Storage is largely common sense. Keep the kit upright in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and pets, since the pod contains nicotine. Heat is hard on lithium batteries and thins liquid enough to seep past a seal, so avoid radiators, sunny windowsills and parked cars. In a bag, a small case keeps it clear of keys and coins.

When the device reaches the end of its life it counts as waste electrical equipment. It must not go in a household bin or kerbside recycling, where crushed lithium cells have caused fires in collection vehicles. Take it to a council recycling centre, or to a shop that runs a vape take-back scheme, and never try to prise it open or remove the battery yourself.

Choosing Between 10mg and 20mg Nic Salt

Choose the wrong nicotine strength and even a lovely flavour becomes a letdown. This kit comes in 10mg and 20mg, and both use nicotine salt, a form of nicotine that feels smoother at a given strength than the freebase nicotine found in traditional e-liquid. The figure is milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid, so 20mg means 2 per cent by volume, and it is the highest strength UK rules allow. Anyone curious about how this strength scale carries over to bottled liquid can browse our nicotine salt e-liquids, which use the same numbers.

As a general guide, and not medical advice:

  • 20mg is usually the starting point for people who smoke around ten or more cigarettes a day, or who light up soon after waking.
  • 10mg is usually kinder to lighter smokers, to people stepping down from 20mg and to anyone who wants a softer throat hit.

Strength is only half the picture. What you absorb depends on the strength and on how much vapour you actually inhale. This format moves a modest amount of vapour per draw, so it can carry a higher strength comfortably, which is why 20mg is common. Pineapple Ice adds a twist of its own: the acidity of the fruit and the chill of the cooling agent both sharpen the throat hit, so the flavour feels more intense at 20mg than the same recipe would in a plain mint.

Signs that you have the wrong strength:

  • Dizziness, nausea, headaches or a racing pulse after a few draws point to a strength that is too high.
  • Draw after draw without ever feeling settled suggests it may be too low.
  • A harsh throat hit that does not ease after a couple of days is a cue to try 10mg.

The kit is not sold nicotine-free. If you want zero nicotine, this is the wrong product, and a refillable setup with 0mg bottled liquid is the better route. Nicotine is addictive. This kit is for adult smokers and existing vapers, not for anyone who has never smoked. Anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding or living with a heart condition should speak to a health professional before using any nicotine product.

Who This Kit Suits and Who Should Skip It

Start with the person it is built for: an adult smoker, or an existing vaper, who wants nicotine in a form that asks for no learning. If you value a device that works the moment it is charged, tastes of fruit and costs under a tenner, the Viscore ticks those boxes.

It tends to suit:

  • Adults moving away from cigarettes who want a draw-activated device with no settings to confuse them.
  • Existing vapers who want a pocket-sized second device for travel, work or a night out.
  • People who enjoy fruit and ice flavours more than tobacco or dessert profiles.
  • Anyone who dislikes handling bottles, wicks and spare coils.

It is probably not for you if:

  • You have never smoked or vaped. Nicotine is addictive and this product is not for non-smokers.
  • You are under 18. It is illegal to sell nicotine products to anyone below that age.
  • You want control over wattage, airflow or flavour intensity. A refillable device is a better match.
  • You want a nicotine-free option. This kit is offered only at 10mg and 20mg.
  • You dislike sweet or sharp flavours. Pineapple with a cooling layer is both.

Some adults decide that vapour is not what they want at all. If you are weighing up different formats, we also stock nicotine pouches, which involve no vapour and no battery. Each format has its own feel, and none of them is risk-free, so choose the one that fits how you live and the preference you already have.

A final test is practical. If you are comfortable with a sealed, fixed-function device, and you can keep it away from children and pets, the fit is good. If you would rather adjust and maintain your own hardware, look elsewhere and save yourself the frustration.

Honest Pros and Cons of the Viscore 8000

Every product trades one thing for another, and this one is no exception. Here is the balance as we see it, based on the format and on what we actually know about this listing.

In its favour

  • It is genuinely simple. There is no filling, no menu and no coil to change, which suits anyone who just wants it to work.
  • It is rechargeable. That puts it on the right side of the rules that ended the sale of single-use bars in June 2025.
  • The maker has a track record. Uwell has years behind it in refillable pods, which counts for something when you buy small electronics.
  • The flavour has a clear identity. Sweet, tart and cooled is easy to recognise and easy to enjoy or dislike.
  • The entry price is low. A complete kit at £9.49 asks for little commitment.
  • There are two strengths. Lighter and heavier smokers each get a sensible option.

Against it

  • Nothing can be adjusted. Power, airflow and coil are fixed, so you cannot fine tune the experience.
  • The puff claim is murky. The 8,000 rating is an estimate, and the listing title carries a conflicting 40K tag.
  • Replacement needs care. When the pod is spent you must find a compatible one or recycle the device.
  • The flavour is divisive. Sharp, sweet and cooled does not suit everybody.
  • There is no nicotine-free version. Only 10mg and 20mg are offered.
  • Some specifications are unknown. We cannot give verified battery, coil or pod capacity figures.

Neither list is a verdict. Together they simply show the trade you are making. If convenience matters more than control, the first list carries more weight. If you enjoy tuning a device to your own taste, the second will matter more, and a refillable system is likely to leave you happier in the long run.

Troubleshooting Weak Flavour, No Vapour and Leaks

Most problems with a new pod kit have dull causes, and most are fixable in a minute or two. Work through them in order before you decide that something is faulty.

  • Nothing happens when you draw. Look for leftover film over the mouthpiece or an airflow slot, then charge the device for a while and try again. If a separate pod is fitted, remove it and push it back in firmly.
  • Vapour is thin or flavour is flat. Give the wick a few minutes to saturate, take slower draws and rest between them. A battery on its last legs can also produce weak output.
  • The taste is burnt or harsh. That suggests a dry wick. Stop, wait, and try short, gentle draws. If it carries on with a fresh pod, the coil may be damaged and the pod should be replaced.
  • Gurgling or liquid in the mouthpiece. Excess liquid has reached the airflow path. Wipe the mouthpiece with a dry tissue, keep the device upright for a few minutes and draw gently. Do not blow back through it.
  • Visible leaking. Stop using it, wipe it clean and keep it away from skin. If liquid touches your hands, wash with water. A steady leak is a reason to contact us with a photo of the pack.
  • The device feels hot. Mild warmth during use is normal. Uncomfortable heat or a swollen casing is not, so unplug it, stop using it and get in touch.

If you need a spare pod, the prefilled vape pods range is the place to look, but check that any pod is made for this exact body before you buy. Pods are not interchangeable between devices, and forcing the wrong one in can damage the connection.

If none of these steps helps, contact our team with your order number and a short description of what is happening. Photos of the device and its packaging make it much quicker for us to work out whether the fault lies with the kit, the pod or the way it is being used.

Value, Alternatives and Pairing With Other Formats

At £9.49 the sums are simple. Spread across the full 8,000 puffs the kit costs about 0.12p a puff, and across half that figure about 0.24p. Per day matters more in practice, which is why the earlier illustration counted days and not puffs. Whatever your real number turns out to be, a complete rechargeable kit at this price is an inexpensive way to find out whether the format works for you.

Price is only part of value, so consider what you need alongside it. A prefilled kit asks for nothing else: no bottle, no spare coil, no tool. You will want a USB cable or adapter if you do not already own one, and a plan for recycling the device at the end. Buying a second flavour at the same time is a common move, because a single sweet flavour can start to feel samey after a week or two. Offers come and go, so it is worth a look at our vape deals page before you check out.

If the fixed settings start to feel limiting, there are sensible next steps. A refillable system lets you pick your own liquid and adjust how much vapour you get, and our refillable vape pods range covers pods made for that approach. The trade-off is more handling, since you fill, clean and replace parts yourself. Lower-rated bars are cheaper per unit, and higher-rated ones promise fewer recharges. Compare the ratings by all means, but remember that they are estimates and not guarantees.

Finally, think about matching the kit to how you vape. Someone who takes a handful of draws through the day will need little more than this. A heavy daily user may get through a pod faster than the headline suggests and might be better served by a larger-rated device. Think in days, not puffs, and you will rarely go far wrong.

Delivery, Returns and Age Verification

Buying a nicotine product online involves a few extra steps compared with ordering a book, and it is better to know them before you reach the checkout. You must be 18 or over to buy, and we check age as part of the order process. Our age verification page explains how that works, so read it if you have not bought from us before.

Delivery is free across the UK on orders over £20. We aim to dispatch orders placed before 4pm on the same working day, and the stock we sell is 100% genuine. A single £9.49 kit will not reach the free delivery threshold on its own, so if you plan to try a second flavour or add a spare item, it is worth doing in one basket. Full details of couriers, timings and charges are on our shipping and returns page, which is also where you will find how returns are handled. Read it before you order so you know exactly where you stand.

When the parcel arrives, take a minute to inspect it:

  • Check that the outer packaging is intact and the kit's own pack is sealed.
  • Look for cracks in the pod or any sign of liquid on the box.
  • Keep the packaging until you are happy that everything works.
  • If anything looks wrong, do not use the device. Photograph it and get in touch straight away.

Please store the kit safely once it is in your home. It contains nicotine, so it belongs out of sight and out of reach of children and pets. If you ever have a question this page has not answered, we would rather hear from you before you use a product than after. A short message with your order number is usually all we need.

Frequently asked questions

How many puffs does the Uwell Viscore 8000 Pineapple Ice give?

The rating is 8,000 puffs, which is a manufacturer estimate based on its own test routine. UK rules limit a prefilled pod to 2ml of liquid, so what you actually get depends on how long and how often you draw. Some people find a pod lasts a few days, others stretch it for weeks. Treat 8,000 as a way to compare devices, not as a guarantee of what a single pod will deliver. Gentle, short draws will always go further than long, forceful ones.

Why does the product name say 40K puffs when the rating is 8,000?

The listing title carries a 40K Puffs tag, which does not match the 8,000 rating we use on this page. The price of £9.49 is for one kit, and we have based the content on 8,000. Forty thousand is simply five times that figure. If you want to be certain exactly what an order contains before you pay, contact us and we will check it for you. We would rather confirm than let you assume.

What does Pineapple Ice taste like?

Expect a sweet, juicy pineapple with a slight tang, closer to tinned chunks or a pineapple sweet than to fresh fruit, finished with a cooling exhale. The acidity and the cooling agent both add to throat hit, so it can feel sharper at 20mg than at 10mg. How strong the ice effect is varies between brands and batches, and taste is personal, so treat this as a guide and not a promise.

Should I choose 10mg or 20mg?

As a general guide, 20mg suits people who smoke around ten or more cigarettes a day or want one soon after waking, while 10mg suits lighter smokers and those stepping down. 20mg per ml is the legal UK maximum, so nothing stronger is sold. If you feel dizzy, sick or jittery, move to the lower strength. This is general information, not medical advice, and nicotine is addictive.

Is the Viscore 8000 a disposable vape?

No. Single-use vapes became illegal to sell in the UK on 1 June 2025. The Viscore is a rechargeable pod kit with a prefilled, sealed pod, so it is a reusable device even though it feels similar in the hand. It is draw-activated and needs no filling. When the pod is spent, you replace it with a compatible one if available, or recycle the whole unit through proper electrical waste channels.

Can I refill the pod myself?

No. The pod is sealed and designed to be used once and replaced. Opening it can damage the coil, spill nicotine liquid onto your skin and invalidate any return. If you enjoy choosing your own liquid, a refillable pod system is the right product for that. Do not try to pierce, pry or force open a sealed pod, and keep spent pods out of reach of children and pets until they are recycled.

How do I charge it and how long does it take?

Use the charging port on the body with a standard 5V USB adapter or a computer socket. We have not been given a verified battery size, so we cannot quote an exact time, but small pod batteries typically need somewhere between under an hour and a couple of hours. Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface, never unattended overnight, and do not vape while it is plugged in.

Is this suitable for beginners or people who have never smoked?

It is easy to use, but it is not for people who have never smoked or vaped. Every option contains nicotine, which is addictive, and there is no nicotine-free version. The kit is intended for adult smokers and existing vapers who want a simple device. It must not be bought by or for anyone under 18. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, and people with heart conditions, should speak to a health professional first.

Why is my kit not producing any vapour?

Start with the simple causes. Check that all stickers and film have been removed from the mouthpiece and airflow slots, charge the device for a while, and if the pod is separate, reseat it firmly. Give a fresh pod a few minutes for the wick to soak, then take gentle draws. If it still does nothing, do not keep forcing it. Contact us with your order number and a photo and we will help.

How is it delivered and what are the returns arrangements?

Delivery is free across the UK on orders over £20, and we aim to dispatch orders placed before 4pm on the same working day. You must be 18 or over, and we check age during the order process. Because the rules for returns on nicotine products can be specific, read our shipping page before ordering. If a parcel arrives damaged, do not use the device, and tell us with a photo.

Honest review — it works

Delivery was super fast and the product is genuine. I've had fakes before so this was a relief.
