Lost Mary Nera 15K Pods Box of 5: what you are buying

The Lost Mary Nera 15K Pods Box of 5 is a multipack of five prefilled replacement pods for the Lost Mary Nera pod system. It is not a complete vape. It is the consumable half of the setup: you fit a pod to a compatible Nera device, vape it until it is empty, then clip in the next one. The manufacturer rates each pod at 15,000 puffs, which gives the box a combined rating of 75,000 puffs across all five.

At the time of writing the box is priced at £28.79, which works out at roughly £5.76 a pod. We sell the range in 21 flavours, and each flavour has its own listing, so the box you open contains five pods of the same flavour rather than a mixed assortment. If you want variety, the usual approach is to buy two or three different boxes and rotate between them.

This page covers the whole family rather than a single flavour, so it is written to help you decide whether the Nera pod format suits you at all, and then which flavour and strength to pick. We have tried to keep the numbers honest. Where the manufacturer gives a rating, we quote it as a rating. Where the listing gives no figure, such as pod volume in millilitres, battery capacity in mAh or coil resistance in ohms, we say so rather than invent one.

Three points matter before anything else:

  • You need a compatible Nera device. These pods do nothing on their own, and pods are not interchangeable between brands or even between different device families from the same brand.
  • This is an 18+ purchase. Nicotine is addictive, and these products are for adults who already smoke or vape. Every order is age-checked before it ships.
  • The puff rating is a comparison figure. Real-world use varies a lot with how hard and how often you draw, and we cover that in detail below.

A word on the legal background. From 1 June 2025 the sale of single-use disposable vapes has been banned in the UK. A pod system with replaceable pods and a rechargeable battery is a different category, which is one reason pod formats like the Nera have gained ground with UK vapers who liked the convenience of a disposable but wanted something that is not thrown away after one use.

What is in the box and what you need to use it

Each box contains five prefilled pods. The pods arrive sealed with the e-liquid already inside, so there is no bottle to open, no tank to fill and no coil to prime by hand. That is the whole appeal of the prefilled format: it removes the fiddly bits.

What the box does not contain is a battery. The battery lives in the Nera device, and that is the part you charge. If you already own a Nera kit, you are set. If you do not, you need to buy the device separately before these pods are any use to you. Check the listing details against your own kit before ordering, because pod families within the same brand are not always cross-compatible, and a pod that does not fit cannot be returned once opened.

Here is a quick checklist for what you need on the day the parcel arrives:

  • A compatible Lost Mary Nera device with enough charge to run for a session or two.
  • A USB charging cable and a plug or power bank for topping the device up. Check your device for the connector type, as it varies between kits.
  • Somewhere upright to store spare pods, away from heat and direct sunlight.
  • Your ID to hand, in case our age check needs a second look at your order.

The box format itself is practical. Five pods in one pack means fewer reorders, one delivery instead of several, and a lower cost per pod than most single-pod purchases. It is also easier to keep a spare in a coat pocket or a bag so you are not caught out at the end of a long day with an empty pod and no replacement.

We do not publish pod volume in millilitres for this box because the listing does not state one. In the UK, a refillable tank or a replacement pod for nicotine vaping is limited to 2ml under the rules that apply to notified products. If you want to confirm the exact capacity of the pods in your box, check the printed pack when it arrives.

Performance and puff delivery

The headline figure is 15,000 puffs per pod. It is worth understanding what that number is and is not. Puff ratings in this category are generally derived from lab conditions using a machine that takes standardised draws of a set length and strength at regular intervals. A person does not vape like a machine. Longer, harder, more frequent draws use liquid faster, while short, gentle, occasional draws stretch it.

So the right way to use the figure is as a way of comparing one product with another from the same manufacturer, not as a promise of how many days a pod will last. Some people will get close to the rating, and others will fall well short of it. If you are budgeting, a cautious approach is to assume you will get noticeably fewer puffs than the headline and see how the first pod goes before ordering a large quantity.

What you can reasonably expect from a prefilled pod system of this kind:

  • Consistent flavour from the first draw to the last, because the liquid, wick and coil are matched and sealed together in the pod.
  • Draw-activated firing, meaning the device fires when you inhale. There is no button to hold in most pod kits of this style, but check how your own device works.
  • A mouth-to-lung draw, which is the style most ex-smokers find familiar. It is tighter than a sub-ohm direct-to-lung setup, and the vapour is warmer and less voluminous.
  • Steady output until the pod runs low. As a pod empties, flavour can thin out slightly, and a harsh or burnt note is a signal that it is nearly finished.

Doing the arithmetic on the rating is useful for comparison even if it is not a forecast. With 15,000 rated puffs per pod and five pods in the box, the box is rated at 75,000 puffs. At £28.79 that is around 38p per thousand rated puffs. For the sake of comparison, a Lost Mary BM6000 refill pack was listed at £6.49 for a 6,000 puff rating at the time of writing, which is roughly £1.08 per thousand. The cost per rated puff is lower on the Nera box, with the obvious caveat that rating and reality are not the same thing.

Draw style also changes how long a pod lasts. Light, slow draws that you take and release gently tend to preserve liquid and keep the coil cooler. Chain vaping, where you take many draws in quick succession, heats the coil, thins the liquid and uses the pod up faster. If you find a pod empties sooner than you expected, pacing yourself is the first thing to try.

Flavour profile across the 21 flavours

The Nera 15K pod family is sold in 21 flavours in total. They cover the usual UK vaping territory: fruit, ice, a small number of sweeter drinks-style options and a straightforward mint. Here is how some of the main ones tend to taste, described as a guide rather than a guarantee. Flavour is subjective, and a description on a page is no substitute for trying one box.

  • Banana Ice: a soft, creamy banana with a cooling finish. It tends to be rounder and heavier than the berry flavours, and it suits people who want something sweet but not sharp.
  • Berry Mix: a blended mixed-berry profile, usually slightly tart on the inhale and sweeter on the exhale. A sensible first box if you are not sure what you like.
  • Blueberry Raspberry Ice: blueberry up front, raspberry behind it, chilled on the exhale. One of the more popular profiles in the category.
  • Blueberry Sour Raspberry: the same fruit pairing with a sharper, tangier edge and no cooling layer, for people who want something with more bite.
  • Cherry Ice: ripe cherry that leans sweet rather than sharp, finished with a cool exhale.
  • Watermelon Ice: juicy, light and very easy to vape through a long session. The cooling layer stops the sweetness building up.
  • Pink Lemonade: a sweet-tart citrus with a lemonade fizz character, aimed at people who like drinks-inspired flavours.
  • Mint: a plain cool mint with no fruit. It is the easiest flavour to rotate with anything else and the one most often chosen by people stepping down from tobacco-style vapes.

The rest of the family includes Strawberry Ice, Strawberry Raspberry Ice, Strawberry Watermelon, Raspberry Watermelon, Pineapple Ice, Triple Mango, Summer Grape, Sparkling Cherry, Cola, Lemon and Lime, Blueberry Cherry Blackberry and Blueberry Raspberry Gami. Each has its own listing, so you can open them one at a time and compare.

A note on ice. Cooling agents are included in the liquid to give a chilled feel on the exhale, and the level varies from flavour to flavour. If you dislike that sensation, avoid the flavours with Ice in the name and pick one of the sweeter fruit blends or the sour raspberry variant.

Flavour fatigue is real with a single flavour over a long period. Because a Nera pod lasts a long time, it is easy to end up vaping the same thing for weeks. If you tend to get bored, buy two different boxes and swap pods when you feel your palate going flat. A short break between flavours often brings the taste back, and it is not a sign the pod has failed.

Design and build quality

A prefilled pod is a small sealed unit, and the quality questions are the practical ones: does it seat firmly in the device, does it leak, does the mouthpiece feel comfortable, and does the liquid stay where it should in a pocket or a bag?

Pods of this type are moulded from plastic, with a mouthpiece at the top, a liquid chamber around a central airway and a contact base that connects the coil to the device battery. The pod is designed to click or press into place with a firm fit, and you should feel it seat. If a pod feels loose, it is worth removing it and refitting it before assuming something is wrong.

Points that matter in everyday use:

  • Mouthpiece comfort. A rounded, reasonably wide mouthpiece is more comfortable over long sessions than a narrow one. The Nera pods follow the usual shape for this format.
  • Transparency of the liquid window. You can see how much liquid is left, which helps you judge when to change the pod rather than guessing.
  • Sealing. Prefilled pods are sealed at the factory. A pod that arrives with visible liquid around the base has been damaged in transit, and you should tell us so we can put it right.
  • Portability. Five pods in a box take up very little room. Keep them upright and avoid leaving them in a hot place.

Storage matters more than most people think. Warmth thins e-liquid and increases the chance of leaking, and a hot car is the most common cause. Direct sunlight dulls flavour over time. Store the spare pods in the box they came in, upright, in a cool, dry place away from small children and pets.

We do not list pod weight, dimensions or the exact plastics used because the product listing does not publish them, and we would rather leave a gap than guess. If any of those details matter to you, for example for travel or accessibility reasons, check the printed pack on arrival.

One further practical point on hygiene. Wipe the mouthpiece before you fit a new pod and do not leave an uncovered pod rattling around loose in a bag with coins and keys. Any grit that gets into the airway will affect the draw.

Battery and charging

Here the honest answer is that the pods do not have a battery of their own. The battery is in the Nera device, and the charging, runtime and any indicator lights are all features of that device rather than of this box. We do not give a battery capacity in mAh because the listing for the pods does not state one, and the figure belongs to the device.

What we can say in general terms about rechargeable pod devices of this kind:

  • Charging is done with a USB cable. Check your device for the exact connector. Most current pod kits charge through a USB-C port, but confirm this against your own kit.
  • An indicator light usually shows the battery status. A flashing or colour-changing light normally means the battery is low or charging. The device manual explains your specific pattern.
  • Charge from a normal plug or a power bank. Avoid cheap unbranded chargers with unclear output, and do not charge a device while it is under a pillow, on a bed or on soft furnishings.
  • Do not leave a device charging unattended overnight if you can avoid it. Lithium batteries are safe in normal use, but sensible habits reduce the small risk further.

Pod and battery life run on different clocks. A single pod rated at 15,000 puffs will outlast many charges of a typical pod-device battery, so you should expect to charge the device several times over the life of one pod. The upside is that a flat battery does not mean a wasted pod. The liquid stays sealed in the pod while you charge, and you can carry on from where you left off.

On the environmental side, the single-use disposable ban was brought in because disposable vapes were being thrown away with their lithium batteries still inside, which caused fires in bin lorries and recycling plants. A rechargeable device with replaceable pods reduces that problem, but the empty pods still need disposing of correctly. Do not put used pods or batteries in your household bin or general recycling. Take them to a vape retailer take-back point or a household waste recycling centre that accepts small electricals and vapes. Many UK shops that sell vapes are now required to take back used devices and pods for free, so you can usually drop them off when you next buy.

If a battery ever swells, gets unusually hot, smells of something burning or is physically damaged, stop using it, unplug it and take it to a recycling point. Do not try to repair it yourself.

Coil and mesh technology

Every prefilled pod contains a heating coil and a wick. The coil is what turns the e-liquid into vapour, and the wick feeds liquid to the coil. In current closed pod systems, mesh-style coils are common because the flat mesh surface heats more evenly than a traditional wound wire coil, which generally gives a more consistent flavour and a smoother draw.

We do not publish a coil resistance in ohms for the Nera pods, because the listing does not give one. What we can say is how this style of coil behaves in practice:

  • Even heating. A larger heating surface means the liquid is vaporised across a wider area, which tends to reduce hot spots and the harsh, scorched taste that comes from a small area of the coil overheating.
  • Fast ramp-up. The coil reaches working temperature quickly, so flavour comes through from the first draw.
  • Match with nicotine salts. Pods of this kind are generally designed around nicotine salt e-liquid, which suits a lower-power, mouth-to-lung draw and gives a smoother throat hit at higher strengths.
  • Wear over time. Coils slowly degrade as residue builds on the surface. Because the coil is sealed in the pod, you do not clean or replace it yourself. When the coil is spent, the pod is spent.

This is also why chain vaping shortens pod life. The coil needs a moment between draws for fresh liquid to wick back across it. If you pull again too soon, the coil can heat with too little liquid on it, which produces a dry, burnt taste and wears the coil faster. Pausing for a few seconds between draws is a small habit that protects both flavour and lifespan.

One more point on the 15,000 puff rating. A pod that is built to last that long needs a coil and wick that can keep working across a very large number of draws without degrading. That is the engineering claim behind the figure, and it is the reason the number is worth treating with a bit of caution. The longer a pod is used, the more likely small changes in flavour become noticeable, and a gradual fade in taste in the last third of a pod is a common experience rather than a fault.

Nicotine strength guidance

The legal ceiling for nicotine in UK e-liquid is 20mg per millilitre, often written as 2%. That limit applies to prefilled pods as well as bottles, and no product sold lawfully in the UK for nicotine vaping should be stronger. If you see a listing that claims a higher strength, treat it with suspicion.

Check the strength shown on the listing and on the pack before you order, because strength is the one choice that you cannot easily undo once a box is opened. As a general guide to how people choose within the 20mg limit:

  • 20mg/ml (2%). The usual starting point for people who smoke a pack or close to a pack a day and want vaping to hold up as a replacement. A nicotine salt at this level feels smoother than a freebase liquid of the same strength.
  • 10mg/ml (1%). A reasonable choice for lighter smokers, for people who vape occasionally, and for anyone who finds 20mg harsh or who feels lightheaded or nauseous after a session.
  • Lower strengths. People stepping down over time often move to 5mg or lower. Availability depends on the product and the listing.

Signs you may have the wrong strength:

  • Too high: dizziness, a racing heart, nausea, headaches, a sore throat from heavy hits, or the urge to cut sessions short.
  • Too low: you take far more draws than you intended, you reach for a cigarette in between, or cravings come back within the hour.

Nicotine salts are absorbed relatively quickly and feel smoother than freebase nicotine at the same strength, so a 20mg salt can deliver more of a hit than the number suggests. If you are new to salts and moving from cigarettes, many people find 10mg enough, and it is easier to go up than to cope with a strength that is too strong.

A few safety points. Nicotine is addictive. These products are for adults who already smoke or vape and are not for non-smokers, for people under 18, or for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding without medical advice. Nothing on this page is medical advice. If you want help to stop smoking altogether, your local NHS stop smoking service can offer support, and a pharmacist can talk you through the options.

Who this is for, and who should skip it

The Nera 15K pod box is built around a specific kind of buyer. Be honest with yourself about which side of this list you fall on before ordering.

It suits you if:

  • You already own a compatible Nera device and want a lower cost per pod than buying single pods.
  • You are an adult smoker who has switched to vaping, or who is switching, and want a simple mouth-to-lung experience with no coils to change and no bottles to fill.
  • You want a stock of pods in one flavour so you are not reordering every few days.
  • You value a rechargeable setup over a single-use product, particularly now that disposable vapes cannot be sold in the UK.
  • You are comfortable with a draw-activated device and a fairly tight, warm vapour.

You should skip it if:

  • You do not smoke or vape. Nicotine is addictive and there is no reason to start.
  • You are under 18. It is illegal to sell these to you, and we age-check every order.
  • You do not own a compatible device. The pods are useless on their own. Check compatibility before buying.
  • You want large clouds. A mouth-to-lung pod is not designed for big vapour production. A sub-ohm kit with a wider airflow is a better match.
  • You like to mix and change flavours often. A box of five pods of one flavour commits you to that flavour for a long time. A single pod or a smaller pack may be a safer way to try something new.
  • You want to adjust power or airflow. Closed pod systems are deliberately simple and leave little room to tweak.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or you have a heart condition. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before using any nicotine product.

If you are buying as a first purchase, the sensible sequence is to confirm your device, choose a flavour you are fairly sure you will enjoy, pick a strength that matches how much you smoke now, and treat the first pod as a trial. If the first flavour is not right, it is easy to swap to another in the family for your next box.

How to fit and use the pods

Using a prefilled pod is straightforward, and the whole process takes under a minute. These steps are general for a pod of this type, so follow the instructions that came with your own device if they differ.

  • Check the device is charged. Plug it in first if the indicator shows low power.
  • Open the box and take out one pod. Remove any protective film, wrapper or plug from the mouthpiece and the base. Do not touch the metal contacts at the base more than you need to.
  • Fit the pod to the device. Line it up and press it in until it clicks or seats firmly. It should not wobble.
  • Wait a minute or two before the first draw. This lets the wick soak up liquid. Skipping this step is the most common cause of a dry first draw and a burnt taste.
  • Take a few gentle primer draws. Short, soft draws without firing the device hard get liquid moving across the coil.
  • Vape normally. Draw slowly and steadily for two to four seconds. On a draw-activated device, there is no button to press.
  • Pace yourself. Leave a few seconds between draws to let the coil recover.

When the pod is finished, you will usually notice flavour thinning, a harsh or burnt note, or visibly low liquid in the window. Take the pod off, put it in a take-back bin or recycling point, and fit the next one from the box.

A couple of habits that make pods last longer and taste better:

  • Keep the device upright when you are not using it, so liquid does not pool in the airway.
  • Do not leave it in a hot place, because warmth thins the liquid and causes leaks.
  • Avoid chain vaping. The coil needs a few seconds to re-wet between draws.
  • If you swap flavours, fit the new pod and give it a minute to soak before you draw on it.

Keep the device and the pods out of reach of children and pets. Nicotine liquid is harmful if swallowed or if it gets on the skin in quantity, and a leaking pod should be wiped clean and handled with care.

Troubleshooting common problems

Most pod problems have simple causes. Work through these before deciding a pod is faulty. If you have tried the fixes and a pod still does not work, contact us, because a defective pod is our problem to put right, not yours.

  • No vapour, or the device does not fire. First check the battery. Then remove the pod and refit it, making sure it seats fully. Check that the contacts at the base and in the device are clean and dry. A pod that is not seated properly will not make a connection.
  • The indicator light flashes and nothing happens. This commonly means a low battery, a poor connection or a pod that is empty. Charge the device and refit the pod. If the light still flashes with a fresh pod, try the pod in a charged device to rule out the device.
  • Dry or burnt taste on a new pod. The wick has not soaked yet. Wait a couple of minutes, take a few gentle draws and avoid hard pulls until the flavour settles. A burnt taste late in the life of a pod usually means it is nearly empty.
  • Weak flavour. This can be flavour fatigue, a cold pod, a very low battery or a pod near the end of its life. Try a different flavour for a day, warm the pod in your hand for a minute and check the battery level.
  • Gurgling or spitting. Liquid is pooling in the airway or condensation has built up. Remove the pod, blow gently through the mouthpiece to clear it, wipe it and refit. This often follows a pod being stored on its side or carried in a hot pocket.
  • Leaking. Wipe the pod and device with a dry tissue. Check for a crack in the pod. Store pods upright and away from heat. A pod that leaks straight from the box should be reported to us with a photo.
  • Device does not charge. Try a different cable and a different power source. Check the charging port for lint or debris. If it still does not charge, the device may be faulty, and that is a question for the device supplier rather than the pods.
  • Throat hit too harsh. The strength may be too high for you, or you are drawing too hard. Take softer draws and consider a lower strength next time.

If you have an issue with the order itself, such as a wrong flavour, missing pods or damage in transit, contact us with your order number and a photo and we will sort it out. Opened consumables are not returnable as a matter of course, which is standard for the category, but anything faulty or wrongly sent is covered.

Value for money and how it compares

Value in a pod system is a combination of the price of the pods, how long they last in real life, and how much the device cost to start with. The box price is the easy part. At £28.79 for five, you pay about £5.76 a pod, which is a few pence per hundred rated puffs. The harder part is the lifespan, which depends on you.

Here is a practical way to think about the cost:

  • Rated cost. £28.79 for 75,000 rated puffs is about 38p per thousand rated puffs. That is the manufacturer-rating basis and the most flattering way to look at it.
  • Realistic cost. If you were to get half the rated puffs in daily use, the cost per thousand puffs would double. Even then it would compare reasonably with most other formats, but it is a useful reminder not to budget to the rating.
  • Per pod. At £5.76 a pod, the question is how many days a pod lasts you. If a pod lasts you a couple of weeks, you are spending a few pounds a week. Time your first pod and you will know exactly.

Now the honest comparisons with other options a UK buyer might consider:

  • Against single Nera pods. The box of five is cheaper per pod than buying them one at a time, and saves on delivery. If you are not sure about the flavour, a smaller purchase carries less risk.
  • Against Lost Mary BM6000 refill packs. The BM6000 pack was listed at £6.49 for a 6,000 puff rating at the time of writing. On a per rated puff basis the Nera box is cheaper, but the BM6000 pack costs less up front and works with a different device. They are not interchangeable, so the choice is mostly decided by which device you own.
  • Against other closed pod systems. Many UK closed pod systems use smaller pods rated in the hundreds of puffs and sold in packs of two to four. They are tidy and well made, but you change pods far more often. The Nera format trades frequent changes for a very high rating that you should treat with caution.
  • Against refillable pod kits. A refillable kit and a bottle of nicotine salt liquid is generally cheaper per millilitre and gives more flavour choice, but you need to fill, prime and sometimes replace coils. If you value simplicity, prefilled pods win. If you value cost control and flexibility, refillable wins.
  • Against cigarettes. We are not going to put a precise saving on this because it depends on what you currently smoke. Vaping is generally cheaper than smoking for most people, but it is not risk-free, and it is not for anyone who does not already use nicotine.

Where this box makes sense: you already have the device, you know you like the flavour, and you want a long supply from a single order. Where it does not: you are still choosing a flavour, you are unsure about the format, or you do not have the device yet.

On the buying side, weekday orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day, and UK delivery is free once your basket reaches £20, so a single box qualifies. Tracked options are shown at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Which nicotine strength should I choose?

The UK legal maximum is 20mg per millilitre. Heavier smokers usually start at 20mg, while lighter smokers and occasional vapers often find 10mg more comfortable. Check the strength shown on the listing before ordering, as an opened box cannot be returned.

How do I charge the Lost Mary Nera 15K pods?

You do not charge the pods, because they have no battery. The battery is in the Nera device, which you charge with a USB cable, and most current pod kits use USB-C, though you should check your own device. A flat battery does not waste a pod, as the liquid stays sealed until you vape it.

Can I swap flavours, and which flavours are available?

Each box contains five pods of one flavour, and the family has 21 options including Banana Ice, Berry Mix, Blueberry Raspberry Ice, Cherry Ice, Watermelon Ice, Pink Lemonade and Mint. You can change flavour at any time by fitting a pod from a different box. Give the new pod a minute to soak before the first draw.

How long will a pod last?

Each pod is rated at 15,000 puffs by the manufacturer under lab conditions. Real use depends on how hard and how often you draw, so treat the figure as a comparison between products rather than a promise. Time your first pod and you will know what to expect from the rest of the box.

Is a box of five good value?

At £28.79 the box works out at about £5.76 a pod, and about 38p per thousand rated puffs, which is lower than the single-pod and smaller-pack options we stock. It is good value if you already own the device and like the flavour. It is poor value if you are still deciding on flavour or format.

Do these pods work without a device?

No. The pods contain liquid and a coil but no battery, so you need a compatible Lost Mary Nera device to use them. Pods are not interchangeable between brands, and even within a brand the families differ, so check compatibility before you order.

Who should and should not buy this?

It suits adult smokers and vapers who own a compatible Nera device and want a simple, low-maintenance pod supply. It does not suit non-smokers, anyone under 18, people without the device, or anyone wanting large clouds or adjustable settings. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a heart condition, speak to a doctor first.

How long does delivery to the UK take?

Weekday orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day, and UK delivery is free once your basket reaches £20. Paid and tracked options are shown at checkout. Every order is age-checked before it ships, and orders that cannot be verified are refunded.

What is your warranty and returns policy?

Opened consumables are not returnable, which is standard for the category. Anything faulty, damaged in transit or wrongly sent is our responsibility to fix, so contact us with your order number and a photo. Check device compatibility before opening the box.

How do I dispose of used pods?

Do not put used pods or batteries in your household bin or general recycling, because of the fire risk from lithium batteries. Take them to a vape retailer take-back point or a household recycling centre that accepts small electricals. Many UK shops that sell vapes will take them back for free.

Convinced my mate to switch too

Does what it should. Smooth hit, no burnt taste even after a couple of weeks. Would recommend.
